If you've been here you know what to expect with their popular main dishes. Location is also quite tidy. Avoid the orange chicken it tastes like syrupy chicken nuggets.

I honestly forgot the employees names but I received my order fairly fast even after a long line , she was perfect with the order, didn’t miss napkins , utensils or most importantly the sauces ! All my food was fresh and delicious I will definitely be back

This is one of the best Yoshinoya locations I have visited! The employees are always friendly and welcoming, especially Angeline! She has a very professional, outgoing attitude that is quite rare in fast food workers these days. Overall, this location has great service and great food. I have absolutely no complaints!

I have to say for only two women working the entire restaurant, they did amazing and were in control. Although the line was lengthy, they completed every order and delivery of drinks and food with great hospitality. I think these two need a raise and they should schedule another person on the weekends. Thank you to the two that worked Sunday morning.

Duuude, chicken teriyaki bowl with steamed rice. Veggies on the side. No sesame no green onion.. that's my go to! Haven't had it in years, and had it again right before Christmas..and let me tell you 100% didn't disappoint! I'd go again and again and again!

I would of given 5 stars but order two bowls on Tilapia w coleslaw on white rice and there was little to non rice in the bowl. The second bowl Honey walnut shrimp w potatoes on white rice was good. The staff is friendly and order wait time was better than other near by Yoshinoya locations.

Awesome staff and food. The only problem is theres a lot of problem with the digital coupons. And when you order online they either have drinks at room temperature or theyre frozen. And they chatge you 50 cents for ordering online.

The food was delicious. I placed an online order and it was ready at the time I indicated I would pick it up and it was still hot which indicated it had not been sitting out for a long time. I would give this location five stars except there was no hand sanitizer available anywhere which would have been a plus especially after having to push the heavy door with my two hands. I will make sure to bring my own next time.

Good place to eat, close to campus of USC, it is very clean in side freshly remodeled. Rarely crowded tons of seating. They are very good with accepting coupons. They don't allow the bums from the outside to come in and sit down.

Great nice looking restaurant, Yoshinoya has great selection of dishes. I order the stake bowel it was tasty but very hard to chew and very hard to swallow. You must have napkin handy.

They were out of peach tea and I let one the employees know she asked me to wait while she went to the back I waited approximately 10 minutes then she came back asked me to give the soda fountain a couple minutes I waited an additional 5 minutes try to get peach ice tea and only water would come out so I got tired of waiting had to get raspberry Ice tea and left. I was very disappointed! 😒

Food is pretty decent, the customer service can be a little better. But hey that's teenagers for you, I was not the customer being shunted. I was giving my order to the cashier, a customer received his order and noticed it was the wrong order. The cashier says that she is tired of people changing their minds, he showed her the receipt and did not apologize. Just let the crew no he needs his order, went about her business and took mine.

The food is good but there are really slow in the cashier area, they definitely need to have another cashier because the cashier does both pass the food out and charges the incoming customers. Please fix that ASAP! You guys need another cashier so you won’t always have a big line, or get a specific person to give the food out and call out numbers

Got there yesterday and ordered my food at 18:53 didn't get my order until 19:23. I literally waited 30 minutes for my order, and that's after two people that order after me got their order. The cashier was by herself taking and handing out orders. You guys need to hire an extra body to be upfront just handing out orders, the wait was too long. The cashier also seemed to be confused about the orders and kept asking customers for their name.

First time trying Yoshinoya! First, the flavor is plain. Which, personally, I found it to be extremely unfortunate. Japanese food tends to be flavorful. Vegetables are basically boiled. But, it is crunchy! So that's a plus. Meat is a somewhat flavorful. I had to add ginger and Sriracha chili sauce to make it taste better. (You can ask for these condiments!) I think the original beef is the best protein to pick from (that's free). Their chicken teriyaki was eh. I got the regular size. Also. Not sure if this place is worth coming back though based on food?? But I do want to point out that the regular size is less than $10 (including tax)!!

I went to the one near the USC campus. I got the Teriyaki Grilled Chicken bowl with vegetables. $.65 for extra teriyaki sauce. The portion was quite small I think they can do better. Nonetheless, they are EBT friendly.

First time visiting this location, but I have tried yoshinoya in socal but at frist glance this place doesn't feel safe at all many homeless people outside and around the area food is alright not the best food felt old and not made fresh maybe a few hours before we ordered staff were quite nice probably won't come back but definitely do recommend If your in the area

The food was too salty and the orange chicken didn't even taste like orange chicken. The only saving part of my meal was the original beef which was great, but it wasn't good enough to save the meal. Overall disappointed.

They got my order wrong and I've been waiting for them to fix the mistake for over 15 minutes and they said sorry we have other orders to handle first even though they were not busy during the time. Service for fixing their own mistake is not great what so ever.

Service is fast, food is affordable with close proximity to USC. Take in mind it is NOT authentic japanese food. I was expecting this and was disappointed with orange chicken, which isn't even real Chinese food. Restroom and drink area was also pretty messy.

Great service and nice server but the restaurant was not clean and could even be considered dirty. There was a person who smelled like rotten toilet walking in and out without buying anything. I was very uncomfortable. Food was decent just like other Yoshinoya.

I ordered the XL bowl with habanero chicken and teriyaki chicken. It was good and the rice was fresh. However I came here to warn about the gyoza. I never had fried gyoza this bad. The parts without the meat is hard like plastic. I loved the bowl and everything was prepped really well. It's just the Gyoza. It feels like it has been microwaved straight after taking it out of the freezer. I have no idea how else you can cook it to be so dry. It just makes me sad how everything else is so great but the gyoza is almost not edible. I had a lot of Chinese 煎饺子, and gyoza and this is so far the worst I had by a mile. Maybe it was the time of the day I ordered it. I give them the fact that it was really busy. But I am disappointed how such a huge chain had quality check mistakes such as this. I hope this can be improved and please note that gyoza is a lot more tasty than this if this happens to you too.

Go out of my way to pick up some food before they close at 2am....only to find out for some reason, they began cleaning the machines WAY EARLY. They apologize and tell me we only have Chicken....😑 Yoshinoya is known for their Beef Bowls. Why can't they wait until they close to the public before they cut their menu options by more than half? Be prepared to wait for ur plate for a very long time while the workers talk among themselves and make u wait while ur plate is sitting there ready to be given to you the cashier ended up bagging the orders until she had 5 plates in front of her lined up I had to get up and just stare at her so she would get the point but nope nothing one of the cooks saw me and he started bagging the orders. Me and my wife went inside to purchase I won't end sit down with my baby Chihuahua And I got approached by a supervisor that told me that my Chihuahua couldn't be in the baby's chair So I asked her where's your policy that my baby can be in your chair she replied aggressively and told me that I had a remover of the baby chair I removed my Chihuahua from the baby chair she aggressively grabbed the baby chair and put it back in his place Then she told me no littering I ask her I am purchasing something here why are you so rude my wife is purchasing something and I'm sitting here mining my own business She was the most rude employee they have in the Yoshinoya I've been going to that you know you for 43 years I have never been approached so rude in my life I don't understand why she's so rude with her own kind she looked hispanic to me I am hispanic I politely told her do I look like a bum to you And her customer service was Very rude outlined I hope nobody Go through that embarrassing moments like that I hope they make sure that they're employees have better customer service in the near future..

I went to get my soda Asked Angelene for a straw she said get it by the lids I told her there was none she got the straws from the stack an put them in the straw holder instead of just giving me one at the counter I asked for ginger she put them on the counter instead of my bag she give a Racist vibe don't look good for business because you never know who will walk into the establishment the restaurant was dirty and she never greeted me David did he was very nice and quick with my order

Crazy to say I know but at least at the time I went it wasn't great at all. I have gone to yoshinoya in the past but I haven't gone since they remolded this location. I went on a Saturday night around 9:30 pm. I went there with my girlfriend who asked for miso soup. They said they had it. So we ordered it. As we are being given the soup I asked if it had any meat in it because my gf is vegetarian. I also saw in my receipt that they charged me a clam chowder. I went to ask if it was a mistake and if it really is miso soup.They said it has clam. And seeing from their own website it only should have tofu and vegetables. Now, we did asked first when we ordered if they had miso soup. They said yes and they gave us something totally different. They didn't even wanted to try to fix it or say they did not had any miso soup. The staff did seemed disturbed that I was asking questions about the soup. And they didn't had any answers. They just kept saying it does have clam. But I asked for miso soup I said. They didn't wanted to deal with me. There was no one waiting in line for them to worry about as well. While ordering we did saw the staff have a laissez fair or careless attitude for their job. It seemed like they just wanted to hang out. They were laughing and giggling, saying jokes. One of them as well was their time to clock out. Maybe they just wanted to leave and get out the door. But quality shouldn't suffer because of that. Not professional at all from every one. We decided not to make it a big deal and we tried the clam chowder. I got a bowl with the honey Walnut shrimp. Sad to say I have other complaints there too. The soup smelled more smelly then any clam chowder I have had or tried in any fast food joint. It did smell off and at first we thought we could stomach it but reality we couldn't. My shrimp was over glazed and it tasted way too sweet. It really looked discusting. Me and my gf would usually give restaurants a chance or we at least try to eat the food if it's not too bad. But for this time I could honestly say we decided to throw away about 85% of our food. We tried but we just could not eat this food. That's where we messed up I will admit because later on we both were feeling really bad and we're stuck at home in the restroom for a while. And that was just by eating a little bit of it. Real disappointed. Next time I will follow my instinct and just not eat the food. I would of gone up to the staff and said something but seeing them how they handle things I knew that I wouldn't get anywhere. No client or costumer should feel that way from a business that gives service of any kind. Just to let people know too I usually won't go too far to post a review or complaint really, but as someone with experience in the restaurant business this is by far the most mistakes I have seen in a place. I won't put the restaurant down but maybe I would hold liable the staff that was there. Hence me putting the time I was there. I understand it is not a easy job but there is certain ways to handle certain situations. Just disappointed.

I always go buy dinner there and when i needed to stop for emergency to use restroom, the cashier didn't let me use it only becuase I didn't buy anything at that moment. I went in, and I was given the cold treatment. The cashier made contact with the coock, and I was given way below the regular bowl level content. I ordered about 22 dollars, and this is why I stay away from USC area because im Hispanic, and i dont feel welcomed at this establishment. As many others have noted, it's the staff at this location that really turns people away. There are far too many seemingly under the influence, and the majority of the rest are particularly unpleasant - I've never gotten an order that wasn't either incorrect, rudely handed over, or impatiently taken.

I came to order on Sunday, May 4, 2025 @ 3021 S Figueroa Str. , And a woman said that manager banned me from a restaurant for taking soda . When they asked me to put back half cup of tea, I put it back and then they called me steal , and when I gave them donuts to manager and employees , they took it . They have a bunch of low life People workers haters liars . They take, but they don’t wanna give anything to anybody nor care , and I had put back the tea and they still call me names and now banned me . That’s fine cause I went to that restaurant need to save money to buy rice and they are so mean to people they are being nasty workers as if yoshinoya Cannot pay enough to hire anybody decent with respect ! They have pound on restroom doors before when I was using it , said that I didn’t buy food right there and then although I bought food few hours before . It takes time for stomach ache to process after eating . They had treated me bad so many times before and I forgave, but now they find reason to ban me for taking tea where I have put it back, but then it was ok for them to take my donuts . They are just mean and Hating on people . I had seen other people get mad and kick stuff in the restaurant and called them names and I don’t even do that . Warning ⚒ They are jerks and people haters !

The worst food I've had in Los Angeles. The "standard" beef didn't taste like meat somehow. Inedible, and I regret not going literally anywhere else. Worse than low quality gas station food.

Pros first. Nice location. You're near everything! They're restrooms were available and clean! And, they feature a spacious dining area. Cons now. My last visit, approximately 1 years ago,(8/20/24 now) was a joke. I had one person ahead of me who presented a coupon for his order. It was as if, he presented an algebraic equation for the young ladies who work there, and they hate math. This went on for what seemed like 15 minutes! My conscience prodded me to bounce but like a dummy, I stayed and ordered two Bowls. When I had a chance to eat it what I remember is, it did not taste, or look like vintage BeefBowl. I've frequented their location on Labrea and Century for years, after 'clubbin,' several years ago. That said, {only go there, if you must.} And even then, you're not gonna be happy.

I ordered the xl combo and couldn’t finish it . When I asked why my whole plate was so watery they said they put beef juice over the plate. All I could taste was the juice and I had chicken also with the plate. Put it plainly just horrible!! I didn’t ask for a refund but I’ll never eat here again!!

Tonight (8/13/2024), there was a guy with three silver chains who was taking orders. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. While taking my order, he said that there are no udon noodles left. However, the person right after me ordered udon noodles, and he said nothing. Essentially, he lied to me, no clue why. He needs to be fired ASAP!

Horrible customer service we were lied lied lied to three times. When I ordered online they told me they didn’t do delivery so why offer?!!! But then he said that they do by Uber or door dash! So my order said it was out for delivery and I should expect in 15 mins so I waited and nothing I called and when I spoke to one of the employees they stated that it was picked up and since I hadn’t received it I should call corporate. Huh are your serious this was from your direct store??!!! We hung up and called back and this time they said yes it was picked up and when I asked from which courier of Uber or door dash they said they forgot?!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS I COULDNT BELIEVE IT!!! I am furious I understand this is just food but when I asked for a refund they said it wasn’t their problem that is why I am leaving my experience on how horrible this was!!!! WOULD NOT WISH THIS TYPE OF HEADACHE ON ANYBODY 0 STARS

I visited the restaurant today 17/03/2023, it is the first time I came to eat and well, I did not understand the concept very well, I did not understand the menu on the digital board very well either, I did not know how to order, so I asked the cashier and more than giving me advice on how to order or recommend something, she suggested that I look for the menu online. I looked at the menu online and then proceeded to order. The cashier at all times served me in a hostile and arrogant way, she did not help me at all and her way of serving me was as if she were at a higher level than mine. Finally I ordered white rice, teriyaki chicken, and some gyozas, the food was very tasteless and mediocre, looking at the establishment thoroughly, you realize how little hygiene their employees have to keep the place clean. Simply, a disgusting place, I never return and I do not recommend it either, that they give more training to their employees to offer better customer service and that they teach them not to be arrogant, because if they were important people, they would not be working in that place for a miserable salary.

Food was relatively different from the last time I visit. The vegetables in Not so fried rice was done. They were still hard as opposed 2 being under cooked. The beef was supposed 2 be grilled but it was dry and hard. With no avail, I couldn't believe they had serve that plate 2 an human being. It was after 12am I ordered and picked up my food. But my experience with this particular chain was just so hideous.

I don't understand how you take 1 hour to make 2 plates with an empty restaurant. there were 6 employees and only 2 were actually doing something. the others were standing around talking. they really need to get it together. used to love coming here because I was always in and out but everytime I go back they get worse and worse.( got here at 5:30pm… it’s 6:28pm and still nothing) still waiting.

The staff is rude and arrogant. I was about to purchase food there today, but needed to use the restroom before ordering. I asked the young woman who was mopping the floor in the restaurant for the door code. She refused to give it to me saying I had to pay for my food first, and then I would be allowed to use the restroom. I told her I would go to the corporate office and complain and asked her again, same answer, and she was very arrogant, defiant with a smirk on her face. As a result, I left without purchasing anything and bought some food across the street ! Yoshinoa lost a customer today. This is just not an appropriate way to treat customers,

I have ordered Yoshinoya many times. This time I used uber eats. From this location the beef was about half the portion of other Yoshinoya. SKIMPY!!! And the beef was so dry - no juice at all. TERRIBLE. And I love other Yoshinoyas.

Large Size? More Like a Medium in Disguise. I ordered the large beef bowl, expecting a generous portion—what I got was basically a medium dumped into a large bowl. It felt like a scam. Totally disappointing. If you’re going to charge more, at least make it worth it. This kind of portion trickery is the reason I won’t be coming back.

April 15th at 11pm I placed an order it's been an hour and so I called the store to get the worst customer service I have heard of . They need to be fired with the way they responded was ridiculous. They hung up on me after saying that they aren't machines. I only mentioned that I was informed that the wait time was supposed to be 24 minutes and I didn't even raise my voice so please fix employee attitude plenty of people are needing jobs that could be replacing to make it a better experience.

Terrible service. Picking up online order no sign where to pick these orders up. Waited next to register for cashier to finish and he completely ignored me. Went on doing other things. Finally acknowledged me after a couple of minutes only to hand me a bag with food. I asked is this for..said my name and he said yes. Didn't hand me drink cup but walked away right away before I could ask for it. Asked another cashier that showed up for my cup. Got to my destination with "my" food and of course it was not my order. Please organize your online orders and get a better person to man your front end

Came in from out of town the cashier which I found out was the shift manager David has horrible horrible customer service doesn't help in any way we asked about adding a meat he said no as you can read !very very rude I don't come to yoshinoya an wanting to try it an new to the area he was very rude also the place is dirty an it wasn't busy at all only 2 people in the place eating that's including me an I'm not talking like dirty like a trash or normal stuff there was green mold on the lid holder for the cups an fountain machine has not been wiped at all in months floor is all sticky an the manager looked very sloppy I don't even want to give 1 star this place is horrible an what makes it more horrible was the customer service on top of that from a manager....me being a b8siness owner this customer service is would never allow my employee to talk to my paying clients this way

Didn't like my first time experience with this restaurant. We took teriyaki large bowl and fried chicken bowl. Both chicken had foul rotten smell. Had to throw both away after eating half. Didn't complain at the restaurant. Just left to avoid any awkward situation. Will never come second time in my life.

The portion was so little on the large beef bowl, for the $$$ price. When I went to complain, the cashier noticed the amount and was told by person serving not to add any more . The quantity and quality of food is poor. I didn’t get a receipt for my purchase & was told out of paper. The restaurant lacks customer service and is overpriced. First time coming in the weekend to this location. The week day staff gives great customer service. But today I got disappointed, the guy on the day shift that took my order didn't listen well. He took my order wrong. When clearly I stated to the guy I wanted the teriyaki bowl with steam vegetables and rice. When I got my order, I sat down and started eating there. When I got to the vegetables I noticed under the vegetables there was hiding noodles under. I went up to the guy and told him I didn't order this. He ask for my receipt and he said I did. I honestly didn't wanted to argue with the guy because is Easter day. I know what I order and that wasn't it. The employee could of at least apologize for his mistakes. But he didn't and he made it seem like I was the one that did the mistake. I just walk away and I don't want to argue with an employee that seems under the influence. Next time I'll just buy my lunch somewhere else.
