I wrote this review before covid19 | This was my first meal after I landed in LA. I don't know why but I was craving some ramen ever since I got to the airport, so I went to the ramen bar with the most & best review- which was Slurpin' Ramen Bar. When I got there, it was around 3pm so I didn't have to wait in line but it looks like you should expect to wait if you are dining in during its peak times. I ordered a regular size ramen with an order of takoyaki. The ramen broth was very good (a little salty) but the noodles definitely made it so much better. The takoyaki was a little piece of heaven. It's just like okonomiyaki but in a smaller size with a piece of octopus in it. I am not sure when I'll be back in LA but this was definitely one of my favorite places. Will be back!

Love this place! New to LA and this has quickly become my go to ramen spot. Been here quite a few times and food is always consistent. The ramen is soo good and their gyozas are also amazing. The service is also always on point! Parking is easy. Free lot during the afternoons but $3 valet in the evening.

The ramen is creamy, dreamy, and at an excellent price point for $13! The Slurping' Ramen is sooooo delish and really stood out compared to all the other ramen that I have had so far. You can get it extra spicy and it just works so well with their signature creamy broth. All of their toppings come on the side as well and are about $0.75-$1.50 per add-on. I went with the Fatty Pork and it was so well cooked and had a nice velvety texture. Added an egg and some other toppings and they just sang. This is my favorite ramen spot in LA so far! Gonna be really hard to beat. We also got the Sesame Chicken. Pretty good too and a good starter to share. Classic and delish! There is parking here, but it gets full extremely quickly!! We went around closing time and got lucky. Definitely check it out if you're near one!

3 of us showed up without a reservation, and we were promptly seated by a nice smiling waitstaff. There are 3 long tables that they sit various people at according to the group size, sort of like a picnic table, but longer. The outside window area is set up like a bar seating. It all works very well and is warm and inviting. It is fairly noisy and bustling as one would expect. The food was awesome and full of so much flavor, nicely done Slurpin. I ordered the large, extra noodle, 2-spicy, with chicken breast and soft boiled egg. It was fantastic, and I look forward to returning when back in the area!

The best ramen experience! The bar had a really fun energy and the food was equally spectacular. It’s not just another trendy ramen place with overpriced substandard food. The ramen and takoyaki were both delicious and authentic. The slurpin ramen especially had a good kick of flavor. Would for sure visit again if I’m ever in the area!

R

Definitely filled my ramen craving! The sesame chicken appetizer was really crispy and delicious. The ramen choices are not complicated and the broth is very authentic. Better order the non-spicy and ask for chili oil and sauce on the side to adjust the level of spiciness. Glad this was close to our house.

I love Daisy. She's even more delicious than this place and this place is great. The broth is more rich and creamy compared to other ramen spots. They're maximum spiciness is adequate but could definitely be turned up a notch or two.

Came here for dinner, the service was excellent! Our order was taken and the food was ready quickly. The ramen was so flavorful. This is definitely a spot that would become a regular place to eat if I lived here. If your considering if you should eat here you absolutely should!

Slurping Ramen has some of the best ramen in K-Town! While they be on the more expensive end, the taste justify the price. Please add the mushrooms and egg to your ramen; go with a spice level of two. Beware, there's not a lot of seating available, and highly recommended arriving with the expectation of waiting half an hour for a table. Parking was a little hectic, but not bad. The takoyaki was good, too!

Really cute spot with DELICIOUS ramen. The menu is simple which I appreciate because I am very indecisive. The staff was very kind and attentive, prices are very reasonable. My food was so good, I kept eating even after I was very full and kept talking about it for a few days after lol

I found my new favorite Ramen spot thanks to my partner 😋 Hands down the best broth I've ever had! The noodles were perfection 🤤 They have three spicy levels mild/Spicy/Super. If you are a fan of spicy then I think you can handle the super 🔥 The service was fast and attentive. Parking is $3 in their lot or you can find street parking if you are lucky enough.

It was really nice to see a ramen resto open til late at night. Very appropriate for a late warm dinner. The parking area had valet, so you can go in asap and look for a seat, and the food we ordered came out so quickly.

Spicy fatty pork tonkatsu ramen, sesame chicken app, house salad - 5 🌟! I was craving ramen today and ventured out. I had picked a different spot but when I arrived the first spot wasn't open. I was close to Slurpin Ramen and thought it looked good. And it was excellent! They had a lunch special that included an appetizer and house salad. I tried the sesame chicken and a bowl of spicy fatty pork tonkatsu ramen. Everything was really great. For a blind visit, I really lucked out.

I happen to come here on a crowded day after a day at Knott's merry farm. The line was really long, but I think it's mostly because of how many restaurants are closed  early. The atmosphere was great. Place was a little small but I actually enjoyed my time here. Servers were really friendly and attentive. Place was also clean. 👍🏼 As for the food: - Chicken Kaarage (10/10): wow! 🤤 This is actually one of the crunchiest and juiciest Japanese fried chicken I have tasted. Arguably better than one of the main dish we ordered. - Tsukumen (7/10): Noodles were great, the texture was chewy and thick enough for Tsukumens. However, the broth wasn't thick enough. Nevertheless, the taste was alright, nothing to be excited about though (maybe this dish isn't their best seller to begin with, so it is understandable if it's not the best tasting. - Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen (9.5/10): This is the best dish we ordered that day. Broth thickness was perfect so we were able to enjoy it without having to drink water. Oil amount was just right. Noodles were cooked to perfection (not too soft, not too hard). Chasiu was juicy and tasty! 😋 I would recommend this dish. The only thing I wish they could do is give a couple of extra slices of chasiu. I thought it was too little. Still, it isn't a big deal. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to ramen lovers. Especially when you are hungry and don't want to drive far after spending your day in Knott's Merry farm! 💯

A ramen spot with an amazing atmosphere! The music they play really sets the mood. The Tonkatso broth is amazing! This is definitely a craft ramen spot. I ordered the Pro bowl with the spice on the side. I recommend having the spice sent out on the side because they'll automatically add it to the bowl if you don't. The spice was very savory and not too hot. I loved the flavor it brought to the Ramen. The bulgogi egg rolls have savory and sweet jalapeños. So it adds a lot of flavor on top of the already delicious bulgogi. I'll be a regular here from now on. The staff was friendly and professional!

I had a great time slurpping some ramen! Celebrated a birthday, we had the sake strawberry and it was delicious. The food is very flavorful and delicious. We had the shishito peppers, garlic edamame, pork belly ramen sou, chicken ramen soup. The building looks abandoned from the outside but it's really nice and clean inside.

This place has some very good ramen and their broth is really flavorful. I always get the Chashu or Chicken Breast Tonkotsu (Pork Broth) and like adding in Egg, Crunch Onion & Garlic, Bamboo Shoots, Bean Sprouts, Shiitake Mushrooms, and Spicy Umami Oil. Very very good and I like their noodles! I also like their Kimchi and the fried chicken bites aren't bad. This is definitely a good spot for some good ramen :)

Ordered a side of Takoyaki and a Regular Ramen with Chashu and Spice Level 1 Mild. The takoyaki were a nice bite size portion each, 8 in total, warm and creamy, topped with bonita flakes and lots of sauce. There might be a little too much sauce but it's still quite nice. The Ramen was alright for a regular portion. I could not distinguish the noodle quantity to the Small portion and they felt very similar despite different bowl sizes. There is quite a lot of broth and it's good enough to fill up for a late night stomach. Area is pretty busy and picks up in the later hours too, spots open up sooner along the walls versus tables.

This place is in our top 3 ramen places. the meal: I got the Slurpin Ramen mild ($16). The broth was rich, flavorful and delicious. I loved the quality of the noodles. They were not too thick or starchy. I had the pork and added an egg (+$2). The pork was juicy with just the right amount of fat. The egg yolk was cooked almost solid. I loved him. The bulgogi egg rolls ($10) were delicious. Don't bother with the nacho cheese. It worked well with the jalapeños. It's definitely a try. We also had the beef gyoza/potstickers ($8) which were delicious. Service and Environment: The service was very good. Our waiter was very considerate of our daughters allergies. We were able to walk in and be seated, although other reviews have said there is usually a wait. We liked the seating arrangement, and there are hooks for your bags under the table. There is a huge window facing the street and the light enhances the atmosphere. It will be a place to eat with friends in a group of 2-6 people. Also good for couples.

Very VERY good ramen! Thick brouth, mild spice is just perfect for me! You can add toppings: I added shiitake and cilantro, and it was just what I needed! My husband chose chashu, which is crispy fried pork belly, it was very tasty! Service is also great 👍🏼

Takoyaki was sooo good 🤤 there were chunks of octopus in it! Ordering veggie ramen (I am pescatarian) is always a risk but since it was a popular item on Yelp I had to try. Got it with an egg and was not disappointed at allll!! it was the perfect ratio of veggies to noodles and the broth was super flavorful and not watery at all 😊 super chewy noodles too. would order again as it was both refreshing and filling!! Bf got the chashu ramen and loved the broth 😊 Also our waiter was so nice — he saw a fly land on my appetizer plate. I said it was fine but he was very insistent upon getting it out of the way for me and replaced my app plate 🥺 Would def come back again!!

Stopped here after a late concert recently, finding parking was a bit of a hassle but they have valet for $3 that stays pretty busy but you can also find street parking. Veggie ramen was the best but not sure I would say the best ramen I have ever had. Recommend if you're in the area but not a place I would go out from far to visit. Our waitress (wish I remembered her name) was amazing though and food came out super quick!

It's a lovely cozy location! The ramen is filling! I really liked the sesame chicken, totally recommend! The service is fast and everyone is helpful! We've returned already! There's valet $3, and it's open late! My only issue is the spice. I don't like too spicy. So selecting the hottest option for spice and not getting any spice was a bit disappointing. I recommend if you like spice, add jalapeños! Last time I asked for hot sauce, and was given (I think) a spicy oil. It has a spice to it but I didn't put much just in case, so it was not the spice I was looking for either. We'll be returning again when we're craving ramen!

Loved how rich and creamy the bone broth was! Some might think it’s not the most authentic kind, but I did enjoy their ramen (yep, especially the broth) A great option in K-town if you’re craving non-Korean food, side dishes were good too. I would recommend giving it a try!

Quick & decent ramen for an affordable price. On the ramen: The broth has a clean pork flavour and was not too fatty. The noodles were nothing special--cooked well and the right amount of elasticity. The chashu meat was disappointing as it was way too salty. On the service: Very quick turnaround. We got there around 8p and was seated almost immediately. The ramen came to us within 10 minutes of our order. Overall, had a good time at this spot, would recommend!

The regular ramen was decent, nothing special. Expected more ingredients, was mostly broth noodles and meat. The fatty pork was good though. Gyoza wasn't very good. Takoyaki was decent. The sesame chicken was decent (the sauce it came with was really good). Mango macaron ice cream sandwich was bad. The macarons were hard and flavorless and the ice cream was too sweet and was more sherbet consistency. Got stomach pains after eating here.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and always considered it one of my favorites—but after my last visit, I’m honestly questioning whether I’ll be back. The food was great, as always, but the service was shockingly bad. Our server, i think her name was samantha, was cold, dismissive, and just short of outright rude. There was no warmth, no basic courtesy, and it felt like we were a burden just for being there. It was uncomfortable from start to finish. I tipped out of pure habit, not because it was earned. That’s never happened to me here before—and it left a really bitter taste. After so many positive experiences, it’s incredibly disappointing to walk away regretting the visit. Here’s hoping this was an exception, not a sign of decline.

Authentic Japanese ramen usually features chashu pork that’s been marinated in soy sauce and lightly grilled or seared, with dry nori draped over the bowl rim so it stays crisp until you eat it. In this bowl, the nori was already soaked and limp by the time it arrived, the chashu had a clear off-putting, gamey/rancid smell (no sign of proper soy marinade at all), and the scallions looked just like the ones you’d find on top of Chinese steamed fish. The broth tasted like plain MSG water instead of rich tonkotsu pork bone stock. Coming from an Asian perspective, I strongly advise against eating here. Non-Asians might be okay with it, but the owner really should travel to Japan, see how real ramen is prepared, and taste the genuine article firsthand.
