One of the best taco places in LA. We got the cabeza and chorizo tacos which were very flavorful and fresh. The flour tortillas significantly add to the flavor of their tacos. Only lost some points due to limited seating availability, as well as difficulty with finding parking.
Several food articles names this place as a top taco joint in Los Angeles. Anytime I read multiple articles that state "best" taco joint in LA is a bold statement and I must try! I must say I was impressed. Wife is rarely impressed with taco restaurants apart from the ones we regularly visit but she said this was one of the best places shes ever tried! The chivichangas were incredible. The asada was not the usual sour taste you get with asada. It was tender, moist and just incredible. Kids loved the cabeza burrito and guacamole! A must try!
The burritos ARE INSANE!!!!!! I love this place so much and tell everyone about it. It's a hidden gem and I come here every chance I get. The first time we came my boyfriend took one bite and got back in like to order another burrito lol! I love the carne asada tacos too.
The moment you walk into this hidden gem, you know you’re off to a good start. I tried their tacos and they were excellent, especially the tortillas. Very cool vibes, particularly if you get to sit outside on the sidewalk. Definitely recommended, and I’ll be back to try their Burrito 2.0.
I love this place. Hands down some of the best Mexican food in Los Angeles. What separates this place from the others has to be the Sonora style tacos and the type of flour they use to make there tortillas. It's truly special and you can taste the difference. They are always consistent with there food. Smokey char on the asada is to die for. Excellent tacos, burritos and there Agua frescas.
Sonoratown in downtown LA is easily one of my favorite spots for a quick and delicious meal. The service is consistently great, the staff is super friendly, and they get your food out to you remarkably fast, which is perfect for a busy lunch break. You can’t talk about this place without mentioning the flour tortillas; they are handmade, thin, and honestly perfect. They have this amazing texture that holds everything together without being too heavy. The meats are incredibly smoky and tender, and when you pair them with that perfectly melted, tasty cheese, every bite is a win. It’s a simple, no-fuss spot where the quality of the ingredients really shines through. If you’re in the area and want authentic flavors that hit the spot every single time, you definitely need to check it out.

Coming in from Minneapolis, wanted to give this place a try. The location itself is pretty cool, hustle and bustle all around. There’s patio seating outside. The staff were super friendly and the place had a cool, clean vibe. I got the burrito 2.0 with carne asada. Probably one of the better burritos I’ve ever had. Wasn’t full of rice like a lot of places in the Midwest do. The meat was fresh and tender, and didn’t feel like scrap meat. The guac and beans complemented the meat and tortilla well. Tortilla was grilled and soft. All around, great experience and I’m glad I tried it!
Best tacos in LA. love the flour tortillas made with pork fat and grilled. Delicious salsas. Highly recommend the caramelo. It’s like a big taco! Recommend castillo or braised beef. Delicious!
Hidden gem in DTLA, my favorite is the braised beef taco, so tender and flavorful! Other meat part is OK for me, it based on which kind of texture your like. Overall, it's good vibe here, food is tasty, price is reasonable, and the staff are friendly. They also have a restroom next to the restaurant, inside the building(need password), I had a good time here with my friends, highly recommend!

Fantastically surprised! This little gem did not disappoint one bit. The burritos were so ooey gooey and packed with flavor. Literally melts in your mouth. The red salsa was the highlight for me. So fresh and the perfect amount of spice. They were very generous and kind and patient for how busy they are. They have a high bar style seating inside and a few tables outside. Grab a beer, Top Chico or aguas frescas to compliment your plate. Definitely coming back to try the more of the menu soon. Don't forget to get a pack of their hand-made tortillas!
I happened to be visiting L.A and did a quick google search for some sonora style tacos and it was the first spot that populated on the search. I didn't even check for reviews just went in to try. Food: The tacos were so good! Seasoning on point on all the tacos I tried. I had cabeza, costilla, tripa, and chorizo. My favorite was the cabeza and tripa. I also had an agua de jamaica and it tasted just as expected, none of that syrup jamaica concentrate, I could tell it was directly made from the flower. Parking: we paid $17 at a near by parking lot as we couldn't find an open spot near by. Service: Friend staff and we didn't wait much for our food to be brought out to us to where we were sitting. Price: Average as some tacos spots in the area. Ambiance: Very small inside but we were still able to find a spot to sit inside. Cool decor on walls. I will definitely come back whenever I'm visiting L.A!! My new favorite spot!

Best chimichangas ever! I got a chicken chivichanga & a cabeza taco. These Sonoran style come with lettuce in a flour tortilla instead of corn tortillas. The taco was good, the cabeza was less fatty, which I like, compared to the cabeza I have from street vendors. But their chimichangas/chivichangas are to die for. Easily the best chimichangas I have ever had at a restaurant. I do prefer the chicken, but either or is packed with flavor. Definitely a must try when local.
A lovely spot for a quick and tasty bite. I ordered two tacos with different meat, and they were both delicious. Freshly made to order in front of your eyes, the cold coconut horchata was the perfect pairing. Quick and friendly staff, I also brought home a small package of ready made tortillas. Really really good!

Great Mexican restaurant located conveniently in downtown Los Angeles. Very efficient, 9 people working in a tiny kitchen pumping out fresh tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. Delicious. If we had known, we probably would’ve ordered the braised beef for all of the items. My favorite was the chimichangas that’s grilled. The tacos were good and the burrito wasn’t bad but we had ordered steak. I think it would have been much more flavorful with the braised beef. The service was quick and friendly counter service. The seating was along the wall or a few tables outside. The surrounding area is clean. I would definitely come back and order the chimichanga again. I love the grilled tortillas. The char really makes a difference. The chips come out of a bag. The salsas are good. I didn’t get to taste their spicy salsa which was supposedly in the burritos but I didn’t taste much of it.
Tasty tacos, chimichangas, and burritos. Although, I think it’s tastiest with the braised beef. We tried them all with a side of chips and salsa. My favorite was the chimichangas. My husband liked the tacos. I prefer the spiciest salsa but the other salsas were good too. The service is friendly and quick. One of Los Angeles’ great additions to our taco scene! Highly recommend getting the Caramelo with Tripa! It’s crunchy and made well at this place. The Chorizo is also great with a savory and salty notes. The service and turnaround is quick too even when busy. The service was nice and helped us pick out how much food to get. The Horchata con Coco is delicious too! The creaminess with the added coconut flavor is on point! Place is small and tables are first come, first serve but people dine and get out pretty quick.
