each dish we ordered was excellent & perfect for sharing! we went with someone who had been here before & they did comment that their brunch menu wasn’t as extensive as their dinner menu, but we still enjoyed the variety available here :)
My husband brought me here for my birthday. From the first bite, we knew he had picked an amazing spot for my celebratory dinner. The fresh baked bread is phenomenal, but so was everything else. I was worried that some of the dishes would be too spicy for me based on their descriptions, as I have a low tolerance for heat, but our server assured me that nothing was that spicy and she was right. I was able to eat and enjoy every bite. We ordered a variety of dishes, and I was brought a birthday dessert at the end. Apart from the food, the decor was beautiful and the city view was awesome. We sat in the covered sexton of the restaurant but with large windows that could be opened or closed. Our server was relaxed and funny...I can't remember her name, maybe Courtney? She was great! I can not recommend this place enough and am definitely looking forward to returning.
Amazing views, great food and drinks, friendly service! We had appetizers and cocktails, the empanadas were delicious, both the fillings and the pastry. Excellent pisco sour! A+ experience overall :-) We’ll be back!
Had an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner here at Cabra! It was our first time dining here and we were so impressed. From the food, rooftop atmosphere, and service was so fast. We were blown away by the food. For 2, we ordered 5 tapas and 1 “entree” dish and it was too much to finish, but we were happy to take it home with us. Our favorite dishes were the salmon handroll party and the brussel sprouts with tofu hummus… but all dishes we ordered were great. For drinks we ordered the LA Dreamin and Pisco Sour. Both delicious and easy to drink! Such a great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to treat themselves or go on a nice date!
LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS PLACE! The food is incredibly flavorful and satisfying all my taste buds. My friend and I had the steaks, and we really loved the seasoning on this dish & how tender it is. Avocado dips are most memorable because they are paired with taro & plantain chips! These are exotic ingredients, which is giving tropical South America summer vacation vibes. The rooftop atmosphere is immaculate. We’re convinced that all the dishes on the menu is tasty and well-prepared. This showed how the chef would honor the exotic ingredients and treat them with respect; and this translates on to our plates. Cocktails are also delightful. We parked at the Joe’s parking garage and walked to the restaurant. Honestly, underrated. Cabra deserves more hype for the quality of food they are serving! Would take my mom and friends here to blow their taste buds away!
A lovely rooftop dinner spot. We had gone here after trying the Girl and the Goat and got a similar quality experience from the sister restaurant. The flavors pop just as well here as they do there, but with a more pointed Peruvian flavor. The sticky toffee pudding was great.
Awesome rooftop spot for some tasty bites and cocktails! Sometimes rooftop restaurants depend on the views to set the mood and mail it in when it comes to making delicious food - not so here! Each Peruvian inspired dish we tried, which included Yucca fries and picarones (Peruvian donuts), was tasty and innovative. Service was great too, and obviously the atmosphere is super trendy. Only downside is the portion sizes are a little small, so you'll probably want to order several dishes even if there's just 2 of you. Also there's a surprise 4% surcharge on each bill, ugh. If you come on a sunny day be aware you might get some sun depending on where you sit. Reservations are highly recommend.
An amazing rooftop restaurant experience. The Peruvian Fusion was such an amazing fusion of South American flavors that felt like a symphony for your palette. Every dish we ordered had such delicious bold flavors that worked so well together and there was lot of great textures as well The ambiance was great and had me excited to eat. They have a cool bar area and a pool as well! The service was very friendly and fast and prompt Definitely would recommend anyone to come here! An amazing dining experience with delicious food. Food 5/5 Service 4.5/5 Ambiance 5/5
Came to this place for Dine LA and it did not disappoint! My friend and I shared so many amazing dishes and we loved most of them. We were not too fond of the chorizo Salad and the waiter noticed and brought us the Tuna tar tar with potatoes and it was such a great alternative to the salad. It was so nice of them to bring that for us. Would highly recommend this place for rich flavorful food, views, interior and the stuff!
I love this place! The food was so good. Peruvian tapas style deliciousness. The only thing is that the skirt steak was too salty for me. I don't have a photo of the chocolate dessert but that was so light and crunchy and not too sweet, just the way I like it. Prices are a bit high, but that's LA for you.
I went to and was a fan of Pilot and ever since Cabra replaced it I have been wanting to go so I am glad I got the chance to tonight. The restaurant offers rooftop views and this time it is Peruvian cuisine. Our server Caroline was very polite and did a great job and all of the dishes came out quickly. It is share size portions and they suggest each person ordering 2 to 4 plates. We were a table of two so we chose 4 total and it was the perfect amount. We were actually too full for dessert. We started off with the Avocado Dip and it was absolutely delicious. It was creamy with yuzu tomatoes mixed in which added a delicious lemon flavor. Next came the Beef Empanada and it was also very good. The pastry was really crispy and had a nice buttery flavor. We next ordered the Bass Ceviche which was my second favorite dish of the night. The ceviche was authentic and was a large sized portion. I would’ve drank the sauce at the bottom if I was eating at home. Finally for our entrée we shared the whole Branzino which was cooked in a sweet-and-sour sauce. It was absolutely delicious and they did a good job removing the bones even though a few snuck in but I order Branzino often so I expected that. Overall a great meal with beautiful views. The pricing is fair although there are no drink refills of any type including tea and soda. Aside from that everything was great. I plan to be back in the future.
My fave rooftop restaurant in Dtla!! The food is insanely good and the overall vibe is hard to beat. Would absolutely come back. 10/10
This is a beautiful rooftop restaurant in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The view is spectacular as they open before sunset with the city view in the foreground. The food is excellent well prepared and very tasty. This is a must visit if you are in the LA area.

My fave rooftop restaurant in Dtla!! The food is insanely good and the overall vibe is hard to beat. Would absolutely come back. 10/10
Good vibe, food, drinks, and the view? Everything was perfect. Got the ricotta dip, chips, pita, the brussels sprouts, bass ceviche, and the skirt steak. My satisfaction went up higher and higher every time I tried new dishes. Definitely going back to try other things!
I recently dined at Cabra Peruvian Restaurant, and while the food was delicious, I felt they could offer more variety of Peruvian dishes, as the menu was a bit limited. Some portions, like the salmon ceviche, were quite small, and the drinks could be larger too. Additionally, I noticed a 6% extra charge added to the bill—it would be better if this cost were included in the price of the dishes upfront, this extra is ridiculous—it should be included in the regular price instead of being tacked on at the end. That said, the view was absolutely stunning, making the experience worthwhile. With a few adjustments, it could be even better!
Heaters for the bar area doesn't work so I can't give this place a 5 star for the atmosphere. It gets cold up there on the roof top at night. The food is amazin though. One of the best skirt steak Ive had. Just wish it came with some sort of bread or carb pairing because it was really salty by itself. Drinks are strong and unique and aesthetics are pretty retro modern. Dessert options are limited but deliscious and definitely worth ordering to wash down the main entree,
I was feeling ok after not going anywhere for at least 2 weeks. It was a little cold at open-air area. Food is not the best Peruvian food we’ve had. But I still liked it because you can overlook DTLA city view, and I loved my drink called ‘Alligator’s tear.’ Not sweet, Not too strong. Just like the vibe here! Not too fancy, but cozy.
The views! If you are looking for a romantic spot then definitely reserve the poolside seating for two. It has gorgeous views of DTLA and reflections of the pool to match. It's on the upper floor of a hotel and they are serving sharable Peruvian dishes! The food overall to me was pretty good. Heavy use of tart and sour flavors from limes to brighten up the dishes. We got the Bass Ceviche and Goat Empanadas for starters. The bass was presented nicely, but not my favorite take on ceviche. It had a little bit of a bitter after taste that I wasn't a fan of. The empanadas were nice and flaky. Pretty simple, but yummy. For main dishes, we went with the Jaleo Mixta and Skirt Steak. The Jalea Mixta was really good. The calamari was super well made and perfectly cooked. There was a little too much of the creamy aioli sauce which was a bit too heavy, but overall was a good dish. The Skirt Steak was tender and had great flavor. Savory with a bit of sweetness. Overall, worth checking out for the views! Great date place!!
We went to Cabra for a birthday celebration. First time trying Peruvian cuisine. It was surprisingly good! We both loved the ambience of the roof-top restaurant. (One thing that bothered me a little was the super loud laughter coming from the table next to ours...not pleasant for the ears...) It was a bit of a windy and chilly night. They had heat lamps hanging atop, but they didn't seem to help much. Overall, it was a great experience!
Food was great, tasty and flavorful but the portions are very small, even when we had 4 dishes we were still a little bit hungry. The salmon ceviche and the tuna were my favorites. Frozen pisco fever was really good too for cocktails. Our server Caroline was very attentive.

Good food and great service. The restaurant was quiet chilly but the views were impeccable. I will definitely go back when the pool bar is open.

We went for the DineLA experience. The location was nice, with great view, decor and vibe, esp after sunset. The food was not typical Peruvian which was not clear from reading the review, though still tasty. What was disappointing was the serving size. All the dishes were supposed for two guests, but they were soooo small! I suspected if they sized down dineLA portion size as some restaurants do. The most disappointing part is the dineLA price is not cheaper than the regular menu price! I should have done more research beforehand. Not a place we would return to.
