Opinions de Captial One Cafe Los Angeles
I liked the capital one cafe as it's a relaxing place with free wifi. The people who work there don't bother you. Also I work late and their ATM makes me feel more secure as you have to have a capital one card to get in; you are not standing on a side walk. The ATM also has a big mirror that says "We got your back". Their savings account gave much higher interest than national average so I bank there.
This bank account is a little difficult to navigate since they don't have real walk in banks. But I've tried to fix my credit with several other companies and failed. I'm finally making some progress with Capital One. My credit line has increased twice and my score has gone up more than 50 points, pulling me out of the "Poor" category and up into "Good" credit. I'm crying tears of joy right now! Life feels a little better today.
Best place to get work done, sip a decent cup of coffee, and people watch. I've been coming here since summer 2022 and I never looked back. The employees here are very friendly and professional. The cafe is clean around the clock and safe. The cafe offers a private room for private meetings and conversations. Background music is at a good volume unlike other cafes that act like a nightclub.
I've been to this branch twice and both times my experience was very positive. The Capital one staff members are professional and welcoming, the café is clean and calming. Richard went above and beyond to assist me with the issue at hand and resolved it in no time.
Moe is absolutely fantastic and was so incredibly helpful!! So happy I went to this capital one location because of him!
Atm accessable 24/7 with your debit card like most banks. Even though it's downtown LA I like how secure it is.
What an incredibly novel concept. I love that I can come in to handle business while being pampered in a leisurely fashion. Why aren’t more banks doing this? And a special thank you to Mongar F… every time I come in he goes out of his way to make sure I leave better than I entered. What an asset to the company. Do yourself a favor and clone him. I’d give more stars if I could. Bravo.
50% off coffee for Capital One cardholders is hard to resist! The coffee has been good, and I enjoy the summer special of the Valencia Shakerato with orange flavor. The staff are always friendly and ready to help, and the environment is pleasant. It's extremely easy to withdraw cash even if you didn't bring your debit card, you can use your mobile app to withdraw up to $200 by clicking into your checking account, finding the get cash without a card feature to schedule a withdrawal and subsequently scanning the QR code on the ATM screen. This place has been a huge lifesaver as a DTLA resident when internet outages happen all too frequently as well.
Great service and very helpful stuff - I mean both the banking system and coffee. Very satisfied with the visit, I opened my first USA bank account here :)
Visited Capital One Café yesterday and had a great experience. I got a cappuccino and loved that I received 50% off just for using my Capital One card, such a nice perk! The coffee was good, and the atmosphere was calm and comfortable. The space is perfect for working or studying plenty of seating, natural light, and a relaxed vibe. Definitely a great spot if you want to grab coffee and get some work done in downtown LA.
Staff was very helpful when I needed assistance to pay a bill. I stayed for coffee and it was absolutely delicious. Roasted but not burned if you know what I mean. Everything is clean. The people are friendly. The atmosphere inside it upbeat and a nice change of pace compared to the rush of other coffee shops I have been too. What I truly love is the convenience of being able to pay my card in person and how helpful the banking staff are. It’s definitely a perk-me-up kind of place. I came in exhausted and tired and am leaving refreshed.
I love coming to the Capital One Café! It’s always super clean and has a really chill, modern vibe that makes it easy to relax or get some work done. The staff here are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. The coffee stand inside is awesome—they serve great coffee made from quality beans with a soft, bold taste that’s just perfect. If you’re looking for a spot to work, hang out, or enjoy a good cup of coffee, I definitely recommend stopping by the Capital One Café. It’s one of my favorite places!
Best coffee I have ever had. I have discovered a new flavor that I like. Cinnamon maple latte espresso
Super clean, super nice staff. I came here to use the wifi and get a coffee. I don’t have a capital one card so I didn’t get a discount, but they offered me a free sugar cookie. I love that there are outlets everywhere as well as a place to have your purse at the sit down bar. I walked here, I wouldn’t recommend driving here as parking is unpredictable. Really nice place to hang out for a morning pick me up. It’s also really quiet, you’re able to hold a conversation with someone.
Super easy and convenient to pull out or add some cash to your card and the barista is great the vanilla iced latte was tasty def recommend
I stopped by but I didn’t have my Capital one card and was told it’s half off with the physical card. I ordered the Honey Lavender Latte with almond milk, less sweet and it was a phenomenal coffee. Solid flavor and perfect temperature. I’d definitely get this again. Shoutout to Moe, solid customer service with a smile, very helpful and what makes this spot a solid cafe. Parking is limited to street and I’d definitely come back again for their other coffee/snack items.
Great experience! I wasn't so sure if I could have access to an ATM before 7AM when they open, so I arrived at 6:50AM to wait a minimum if needed. On Capital One website, it is said that the ATM are available 24h. On Google Maps, the Capital One Cafe opens at 7AM. Here are the pictures to show more of what you will find here. The best way is to have someone on location, like Mrs. Madis, who can quickly help you out when things are little but unexpected with your banking experience. Madis has been great at solving my question (I did lock my debit card that -of course- did not work anymore). The other employees on location have been super helpful as well, giving direction. There is a WC for customers with a code and it's ultra clean. There is also handicapped ♿ access for wheelchairs and other slow moving people. Overall great experience.
Capital One café is a great perk offered by the company. Discounted drinks for card members, 45 minute parking validation. Free access to restrooms and WiFi. ATMs and friendly ambassadors.
A interesting banking experience. Coffee/teas and banking all in one. Got our bank account issues addressed.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this location and would recommend that all Capital One customers visit at least once. I've been a happy customer for a while so I finally decided to take the leap and deal with downtown traffic to check them out. BOY am I glad I did!?!? The ease of banking that this space creates is absolutely priceless and the staff is friendly and helpful. Not to mention the free Pete's coffee! This was a total win for me.

Absolutely outstanding service! Ashley helped us was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and efficient throughout the entire process of opening an account. She guided us through every step, made the setup easy, and even offered us complimentary coffee while we got everything sorted. Her patience and attention to detail made a big difference, especially when navigating the few hoops required. Honestly, she’s the reason I chose Capital One over Chase, Bank of America, and others. A true asset to the Capital One team — I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

The cafe only has 1 ATM. Many tables and chairs. About 7 workers hanging out ready to help. Yet only 1 atm. Would be nice if there were at least 2 or 3 atm machines inside the cafe. The 2 additional atms are on the other side of the building which are 24 hours. But yeah more ATM machines inside the cafe so that customers can bank more instead of hang out more.
Verve coffee is a nice change. I did find the espresso on the lighter side. So get a cortado or set your expectations if you get an expresso drink. The young man working the counter was great humoring my question about the beans being used. Minus star is because of the parking. They do valid and the brand ambassador who validated is nice and all but it takes time and in my case even being conscious of the time limit the parking company parquor charged me $6 because they said I went over by 12min based on their clock. No grace period. Wow that was an expensive coffee run
The cafe is nice and the staff are too. However, the parking situation has gotten more complicated. It’s now automated but they haven’t worked out the kinks. You must get an individualized code from the C1 staff, scan a QR code, enter the complicated code and your license plate #, then rely on the parking computer system to have read your plate properly. If it doesn’t match, you can’t use the code again and then you have to go through the process all over. The parking tried to make me pay the full parking fee even though I received validation from the cafe. The trouble isn’t worth it for me. When you’re trying to leave and have followed all procedures, but you still are stuck and required to provide full payment? There’s just too many barriers. If you don’t have a car, no prob I guess 🥴
The Capital One associates are very friendly and professional. Security is a big focus there when applying for cards and accounts. The Cafe serves a nice variety of drinks and food. The environment is very bright and clean :)

I love coming here and grabbing my cold brew before starting my day. My favorite baristas are Miguel & Marz! It's usually quiet and security is on top of things. I also want to give a special shoutout to these team members who always exhibit friendliness and professionalism: - Moe - Richard - Ash - Autumn - Bryan - Maurice - Madis

Idk who is in charge of cleaning here but I cleaned the book room while I was hair it was hair in the chairs. Then inside the moby I cleaned two tables while hear. I first sat at table where there was no plug and wiped it then the Clorox wipes next to the ambassadors. I then moved next to a table where there was a plug and wiped that also while the ambassadors just stood there talking. Also the music was a little loud. I was still able to hear it clearly in the private nook room or with the door closed. I mean its not a library so I guess. This is my second time coming here. On my first impression I did really care for the service I received but I decided to come again to give a second try. All and all not that bad of a place just not for me.
$7 for a 12oz is just too much. Drop them prices and I’ll come back.

Have been a Capital One customer for years, and have always received stellar customer service. However, the service received at this branch from Jessica (do not know last name) was frustrating. Although she was polite at the outset, she became visibly frustrated by the amount of time it took to get an answer from her own colleague (another capital one customer service representative she had to call, as she did not know the answers herself. After she was informed that the Cafe apparently has limited features as opposed to a traditional branch, she instructed me to try another branch, of another bank, to resolve my issue. Although I had several additional questions, she became dismissive (setting my card down, rather than handing it back to me while I was in the middle of my question). Rather than try to explore alternative solutions, or even consult with a colleague with more experienced, she pointed out the door (saying there could be some other bank in the area). When I asked if she could clarify where she was directing me, or even specify what bank is in the area, she told me to “Google it”. I did not become combative or show frustration (I understand she is not expected to have directional knowledge of other banks), and sincerely thanked her for her help. Unfortunately, I don’t know if she even heard me, as she made no attempt to make eye contact after laughing at how absurd she must have found my question to be. No worries. I thanked the other representatives in the branch, who were pleasant and very accommodating. Especially the young African American woman with braids. She was professional and hospitable, even though she was not directly assisting me and was not obligated to interact with me. She is an IDEAL example of great service. I love Capital One, and this singular experience will not sever what has been a very enjoyable banking experience for the last 6 years. However, I was surprised that this occurred in a Cafe in the heart of the Financial District of Los Angeles, where I imagine the average customer has significantly larger assets than my account. Although, this experience alone would be enough to jeopardize future lending opportunities with the bank.
This spot used to be where I'd always hit up the Capital One café, but I noticed they've gotten super serious about the bathroom rules. Now, you gotta get a staff member to help you open the door if you need to use it. They used to just give you the code, but something changed. They've got security to deal with any unwanted guests. Having staff involved for the opening of the. bathroom door feels like way too much. So inconvenient especially if you have to use the toilet twice or more than that. Wish they could just revert it back just giving the unlock code out and if they think they have to change it everyday for new unlock code then i’m okay with that.
So WholeFoods had a POS fiasco so I cant get my much loved, ultra-robust iced-Americano so I finally come here, finally to utilize my Cap-card coffee benefit and... (loser buzzer) I get zoinked here as well, for real. Like they were hesitant to even let me in and I was sufficiently dapper-dressed. Seriously irked. Next time Capital One Cafe...😈

That Maurice guy is a bully I dont know how they hired him. Who runs this place?
Worst costumer service they lie about everything and they wanna charge you for everything extra comparing with other branches. I get sparkling water on the side, which is like normal in every café
The service here is terrible. There's no one waiting to order. The two girls almost seem irritated that they had to stop talking to each other to take my order. I go back to the counter to order something else and the one girl is standing less than 3ft away and refuses to acknowledge me until I say, "Excuse me". Hopefully, someone from Capital One monitors this and revamps the staff at this location.
Monday 6.30.2025 Walked in at 5:25pm, unhappy lady behind the counter told the couple in front of me, then me that ‘she’s closed’. Very curt, very cold. Schedule is listed as open until 6pm. Terrible staff attitude and no service.
Walked past 6 coffee places to come here wait in line to order to find out theres only regular milk no soyborboat or almond lol. Dam. Even my cooler in my car always has soymilk and ice in it.
Very poor service, and the restrooms are not functioning. On the morning of January 3rd, I reserved a room to work. It turned out that the shared restroom was out of order, and when I asked for the code to use the women’s restroom instead, I was rudely told they wouldn’t provide it. I’m completely disappointed with the level of service. They can’t even provide basic necessities that should be available.
The staff taking drink orders are noticeably less friendly compared to those preparing the drinks or handling card transactions. Also, the system of taking all orders at once and making them all at once seems in need of improvement. When everything suddenly stops for around 15 minutes, it feels even longer from the customers’ perspective.
Did not have matcha, the service lady was not the nicest, I prefer Irvine much more.
I'm a Capital One customer. On Mon 6/23/25 Autumn, the Capital One employee was very rude and said she needed to know why I wanted to contact her supervisor and also refused to give me her supervisors name. She was really unprofessional and confrontational after I asked for names of either the cashier or supervisor. She said she will fill out incident report and ban me from the store. Asking for a supervisors name as a customer, should not be a reason for banning someone from the store or to be treated so poorly and unprofessionally.
I'm currently trying to calm myself down due to the treatment I received here at this location. Racial profiling has gotten much better in this country over the years, but it's still going strong at these Capitol One Cafes. Literally watching fair skinned guest be treated respectfully and like humans. While myself being treated like a homeless off the street. I have to be wearing a suit and tie in order for them to treat me as they treat other races. I am a Capital One checking account and credit card holder. I do understand that your locations are located in area with a high volume of homelessness, but the employees at your locations should be trained better to differentiate homeless persons from actual consumers. NOT using race as a deciding factor.
Security Guards Having A Panic Attack Over Charging My Phone. They let me charge my phone at the other cafes. What's Wrong With This One ?😂
Super inconvenient parking especially if you’re in a hurry and it’s your first time dealing with the new parking setup. To begin with all three Capital One cafes near me have inconvenient parking. In this one you can no longer pay directly with a card. In this one you need to take a pic of one of those annoying little images and you’ll be able to pay. It’s confusing if you are unaware what is going on. I paid $6 for the short time I took to use the atm. Capital one validates by the way. Still i didn’t worry about that because I was expecting to pay with a card. The attendants told me to pay virtually. I’m not sure if they could have taken my card because they didn’t offer to do it. Cone very prepared or you’ll leave very annoyed.
Always an awful experience at this location. Baristas always with attitude and making their own rules when it comes to redeeming promotional coffee. Don’t give out promotional drinks if you’re not willing to let customers redeem them! #BigWeird
TLDR: For people seeking study cafes, don't come here. The vibes suck. Hilltop nearby is nice for working, or even the public library for really heads-down work. I've had the best luck in Ktown; I really like Alchemist! Warning that the staff here are unusually rude. I highly recommended C1 cafes for studying to my friend and we went together, as I'd had wonderful experiences at other branches (especially in Santa Monica and SF!!). However, the staff here are curt, uncaring, scrutinizing, and honestly the biggest turnoff from working at the cafe, despite the space & 1/2 off coffee being decent enough. I was genuinely shocked given how lovely the other branches are. They don't allow you to even step a single foot in the empty nook - which I totally understand if you're overstepping someone else's reservation, but I wasn't even allowed to borrow the empty nook while it wasn't reserved for an urgent 10 minute call. I was a little desperate and polite about it but there was absolutely no wiggle room. I noticed that the room stayed open and unused for a while afterwards, but they fully kicked me and my friend off the premises... for trying to use an unused service, even for just a short time 🥲I'm trying to rationalize their strict demands by wondering if it's due to their location in DTLA, which is a little crappy in and of itself, but I guess I could get that from a business perspective. If I weren't a returning customer of C1 cafes, this would honestly tarnish C1 entirely for me, even beyond the cafes, and I swear I'm not dramatizing this. I'll likely still visit the Santa Monica branch when I'm in the area, but will stay far, far away from this location.
I’m very disappointed with my visit today. I’ve been here many times before and always enjoyed the experience, but this time the service was unexpectedly rude. The cashier with red hair dismissed my concern when I mentioned that our drink tasted bad and asked for a replacement. She responded, “You already drank it,” without making any effort to understand the problem. She also commented that she couldn’t understand me because of my English or accent, which was hurtful and made me feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately, my friend and I decided to leave, and we won’t be returning. This location lost two loyal customers today.
I came every day with a hiking backpack. Now the security guard forbid to go in with a suitcase and three backpack. I am enough To be treated like a dog! I hope he will refused by several cafe when he will become homeless! I am sure, he is not Christian
I like Capital One Cafe. But, this sketchy location was not so likable. Unfriendly staff. No access to their usual conference rooms. Employees on their phones using social media during company time. Lack of restroom access. I ordered a large drink and they gave me a small drink and wouldn’t change it.
