Tatsu Ramen

We love Ramen, when we are in the area we have to pass by and eat here. They have the best consumer services, from the moment you walk in until you’re eating. They have a server walking around if anything is needed and to fill up your water. We live in the valley, don’t mind driving here for the best ramen in the city!

Best Ramen I’ve ever had. Came here at 1am, service was amazing. Food came out fast, they gave us a round of pork buns on the house to start. Cheeky with pork was incredible. The broth really touches your soul. They cook with love!

Not wanting to glaze but this place doesn’t need it, the food is quality. Service is really nice and staff is wonderful, birria bowl goes absolutely wonderful with a good beer. Food speaks for itself. My favorite late night spot!

We love ramen, and Tastu Ramen did not disappoint! From the moment you enter, the ordering screens make everything easy and efficient. The open kitchen is a great touch—you can watch the cooks expertly preparing each dish, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is clean, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. We totally recommend Tastu Ramen for anyone craving authentic, high-quality ramen! 🍜✨

Okay, so first time great service. Second time we had an issue with our order. Let the Manager at the time know, Garrett. He and the GM Derrick took care of it ( directly ) and provided exceptionally excellent service. Hands down the best Managers I have ever seen in the food industry. And the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The atmosphere is cool, modern, open and bright; very cool building and their chairs are surprisingly comfortable for being hard wood lol. Their food, diabolically delicious. I mean yes, you had ramen before, you had them all. HOWEVER, the broth is flavorful not flat and watery, the toppings are just as tasty! We had a birria ramen and a classic ramen on this visit. Just, Amazing, I can keep on with this review but I fear its going to be one of those "tldr" reviews. Bottom line, Do Not Hesitate going to TATSU RAMEN especially the one close to DTLA on Hewitt. I recommend them 1000%. Well, okay 1 kinda "eeehhh" thing is, parking is limited. But Completely worth it in my opinion. #tatsuramenbestramen

First time trying this place and we absolutely loved it. Good vegetarian options and you can customize your ramen bowls in many ways. It was a bit pricey, but I think also worth it for the quality. My kids enjoyed it too, which is always a plus when you're dining out.

I enjoyed the tablet system of ordering and paying first. Somehow they knew where we were sitting without the table number assigned and brought the meal directly to us. I had no idea how but was impressed however the system worked. Food and drinks came quick and was honestly one of the best ramen stocks I've had. The red rice was unique and tasty as well as their delicious drinks. Will definitely go back again!

First time at Tatsu Ramen. The atmosphere was good and got in quick. No line at 10:30 on a Thursday night. Got served within 3 mins, very impressive. The hippie ramen was really delicious. I'm not a vegetarian but I still liked it a lot. Would come here again

Came here for lunch while we visited LA. This was our first time at this location but we have been to other Tatsu Ramen places in around LA. This one by far is the most open and spacious that we have been to. It was bright and inviting. Parking is a bit of a challenge - there are some metered parking nearby with some paid lots as well. When you come in you are greeted warmly right away and directed to one of the tablets to place your order. We ordered 2 Bold and 2 Old Skool Ramen's. The family likes all the customizations you are able to do like add various toppings (and their levels), type of noodles, and spice level. After we ordered and paid we were shown to a table that was already prepared for us. We thought that was a nice touch - they set a table with waters for everyone while we were ordering. Food came out hot and tasty. The quality at Tatsu Ramen is very consistent and this place was great. I think this is not only our new favourite ramen place but our favourite location as well! Restrooms were big and clean as well. Staff were friendly. Food was great. Place is spacious and bright. Will definitely come back.

I found this place by word of mouth. It’s amazing how there’s so many nice little spots in LA even if you live in the same area, you may not never know it’s there. This is one of those places for me. I’m very late to the party on this place! I had the slow cooked Bold Ramen. Absolutely delicious. The broth was 🔥the noodles were cooked perfectly. Get the egg in the soup 🍲 if you like eggs👌🏾 I also enjoyed the spicy extra chili oil and the cute cartoons on the bag! Everything was also labeled:-) Super good y’all! On the night I picked this up the place looked lively. Seems like it may be a great place to dine in too. We’ll see!

Having been a Tatsu customer since it first opened its Melrose location, this spot Downtown brings me back to those early days when rich flavorful broth was still hard to come by in LA. If it was your first time eating there, you knew you'd be finishing the entire bowl. My go-to Red Ramen had some of the thickest and most perfectly seasoned broth I think I've eaten at Tatsu. My wife's Hippie Ramen was almost like a French onion soup in the best way, but not nearly as heavy. We also got a side of chicken rice - big eyes I know, but we had to finish it. I love that the size of this location is pretty well accommodating - it's definitely bigger than any other location and the kitchen layout seems much more suitable for busier rushes. Tatsu is still my favorite ramen outside of Japan, and this location in DTLA takes the top spot of Tatsu shops.

The place has a great aesthetic to it while looking extremely clean and inviting. The ordering process with the kiosk is very easy to do and quite easy. I like that the kitchen is completely open to the dinning room so you can see your food being made! The ramen was exactly what we were looking for. So flavorful and fresh while having a deep savory flavor!

Fire late night ramen spot! Their broth is amazingly superb and the service is attentive and friendly. The place is spacious and clean with much to offer on the menu including birria ramen and many appetizers. This place is a hotspot in downtown LA and parking wasn’t too difficult to find. Food also came out quick! Would definitely visit again.

The broth was rich, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the presentation was on point. If you’re looking for a hidden late-night gem with quality food, great vibes, and a clean, relaxing atmosphere this is the spot. Definitely going on my list of go-to midnight meals! I only gave the service a 3 because I hate any restaurant that requires you to use a kiosk to order. Other than that this service was outstanding

I ordered The Bold ramen.. broth was so rich and chashu pork was so good!! Definitely the highlight of the dish and perfect with a side of bamboo. The egg yolk was like jelly goodness. I will definitely be back again!!

The broth is crazy good at first slurp. Excellent noodles too (very hard). Their size spicy sauce tastes like straight yuzu kochu (yum!) Bit you’ll feel the heavy use of msg powder (Mac and cheese?) later. Very artificial taste. You will be drinking water the entire day (and I didn’t even finish the broth.) Good ramen is the art of umami depth without cheap tricks. This is delish but too many cheap tricks.

The food is okay, but the service is poor. At first, they told us we would have a table, but we were seated at the bar instead. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, and later they told us they had messed up the order. On top of that, they only served us one bamboo dish even though we ordered two.
