Opinions de The Griddle Los Angeles
My favorite local and quaint brunch place. No matter what you order, you cannot go wrong. It will be a lot and delicious. Come with an appetite 😋 The always go to and what they are known for … their Red Velvet Pancakes ❤️
I recently traveled to California for a wedding, and was recommended to go here for breakfast. And let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. I was only in Cali for 3 days, and I went here for breakfast twice. Both times, my boyfriend and I were sat quick and our food came out so fast. The portions were huge. So you could definitely share with multiple people. It was a little pricey but worth it to me because of how big the portions are. It’s also in a great location! I wish we had breakfast places like this in Philly. Overall 10/10 and I can’t wait to eventually come back!!
The Griddle is the absolute best! Atmosphere is popping and the music is such a party vibe. We went as a group and just had the most lovely time. We ordered so many favorites - Not so secret French Toast is my personal joy but the kids loved the Berry Yellow pancakes, Banana Nana, and some crazy Nutella awesome French toast. You should have seen their eyes when the plates came to the table … all smiles.
My favorite breakfast place in Los Angeles! They're most famous for the pancakes, which are so huge you won't even come close to finishing them. But the french toast options taste even better, the egg scrambles and the tequila sunrise eggs are strong too, and the cost is reasonable regardless of which items you order. Would recommend!
This place screams: ♡Hollywood♡ The portions are HUGE! And the dishes are delicious! There is always a nice waitress ready to serve you and the atmosphere is incredible. Ideal for brunch or a breakfast date. Do not underestimate the size of the sweets! Important: Pay your Park Meter!!!! Cops are always checking them!! 10/10 Hands down the best breakfast in town.
Ugh I love this place. It feels “pre-pandemic” - huge portions, reasonable prices, good coffee, unpretentious and completely delicious! They have bottomless mimosas which I simply cannot partake in anymore but pre-2020 LA me would have been all over that. It’s where you bring your visitors who are cooler than the overpriced hot spots in town, you know? Love it.
Oh man, I really liked this place. The vibe is casual and comfortable, reminds me of a chill dive. I read a review that someone didn't enjoy coming here alone. As someone whose hobby IS to frequent breakfast places alone, I actually... feel the opposite. Service was great, parking was ample, food came out fresh and quick. I don't really have a sweet tooth, so I ordered the beef Hash It Out and a coffee which came in a French press. The hash was delicious. I loved that it was NOT the canned stuff just dressed with some eggs. The server warned it might be a tad hot because of the habanero peppers, but for someone who likes spicy things, I thought the balance complemented the rest of the dish without overpowering it.
AMAZING!! Found this gem on a recent trip to the Los Angeles area Food: delicious and enormous portions. I had the Chicago Charlie Scramble, which really hit the spot. A great scramble. My wife and I split the Bananana pancakes. Highly recommend the pancakes--- and order will take up a third of the table and you likely won't eat it all, but well worth it Service: quick and friendly. Our waitress was wonderful Highly recommend!
We ordered nachos with toppings, the Black Magic pancakes, crispy bacon, and an omelette with steak and potatoes for four people. The food was decent and very filling—enough for all of us. We also had coffee and orange juice. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was really unique and welcoming. Overall, a great place to enjoy a hearty meal!
We had breakfast at The Griddle Café on two different mornings during our trip to LA, and both times, we walked out happy (and very full). This place totally lives up to its reputation — big portions, bold flavors, and a vibe that’s so LA. On our first visit, I ordered “The Golden Ticket” pancakes — a heavenly creation filled with bananas, caramel, walnuts, and streusel, then topped with whipped cream, more caramel, and streusel. Absolutely delicious, but here’s a heads-up: the pancakes are HUGE. They serve three, but I could barely finish half of one. It's a dessert-meets-breakfast kind of dish and totally worth it. My husband got “Mom’s French Toast”, and he hasn't stopped talking about it since. Thick slices of egg-dipped bread, cooked just right, with powdered sugar and whipped butter on top. It’s labeled “life-changing” on the menu — and he actually agrees. He says it’s the best French toast he’s ever had, and honestly, I believe him based on how fast he finished it. The next day, I went savory and got the “Omelette My Soul” with shrimp. It came loaded with green chiles, jack cheese, avocado, sour cream, and pico de gallo — basically everything you’d want in a hearty, flavorful breakfast. Again, massive portion and super filling. I couldn’t finish it, but every bite was delicious. Service both days was quick, friendly, and efficient — even with the café being busy. The staff seemed used to the rush and handled everything with a smile. If you're in LA and love breakfast food that’s over-the-top in the best way, The Griddle Café is a must-visit. Just make sure you come hungry — and maybe share a dish unless you're really planning to indulge!
A must visit if you live in LA or are visiting. The food is excellent, albeit a bit decadent with the portion sizes (pancakes that are larger than the plate they’re served on). Highly recommend the Mom’s French Toast. The French press coffee is surprisingly very good (I’m a bit of a coffee snob). The only small gripe is the volume of the music can be a bit loud. Go early, otherwise you’ll battle the lines. Parking on the street or behind RiteAid.
The place is truly a hidden gem in LA, the pancakes are their signature and truly amazing. They must be the biggest pancakes i have ever seen. I went for the all amarican standard pancake which is amazing and huge ! I mean i personally think four people can barely finish one order and their syrup is magnificent. All other tables have different types of pancakes and i can see everyone amazed with their order. Try their pancakes and you wont be disappointed at all !! The only thing that disappointed me was the service, unfortunately the waiters seem like they are not interested in serving and the duration it took to get the food out was about 40 mins was disappointing too might be because they were busy but its not a reason why someone should wait that long for such a simple order. But honestly its worth the wait !!!
The pancakes definitely stands up to the hype, I was impressed by the wide selection of available options! Ordered the 'Selfie on Sunset' and found the portion sizes were huge for one person (coming from a Canadian visiting), service was also really good. The French press style coffee was also a nice touch. Highly recommend people with a sweet tooth to visit this spot. (Pancake score: 8.5/10)

Visited for breakfast on our first day in LA and enjoyed one of the best meals of our stay. Food was good, massive portions and the service quick and friendly. Proper American diner experience.
Fantastic breakfast choices and a classic American diner cafe that is 100% service all the way. The Black Sunset needs to be shared as huge and all allergies and vegan choices can be accommodated. …

Pancakes dreams. Pancakes bigger than the plates. You can easily share one meal with four people. French press coffee kept me buzzed but I slept like a champ. Lol. Potatoes were delicious. Customer service was okay. Nothing to write home about. I tipped well but easily forgot her name. Parking is brutal and that section of Sunset (next door to Director's Guild) stays BUSY.
Was able to get seated with no wait; restaurant has a nice setup with regular tables as well as an almost hibachi style diner setup with a nice view into the kitchen. Ordered the ‘Hash it Out’ dish - diced potatoes, ground turkey, over-medium eggs, cheese and garlic bread with hot sauce on the side. By itself the dish was average but the hot sauce helped add flavour to it. Waitress was well mannered and always had a smile on her face which was nice. Solid spot!
Very nice place for breakfast. For 2 adults on a Friday morning we only had to wait 10min around 11am. One stack of 3 pancakes here is a LOT. They were lovely, would have like more caramel on ours. Service was excellent and friendly! Would definitely recommend Its very loud in there so probably not the best place if you want to catch up with friends and have a conversation!
The food was good. Waffle were ok. Not as great as I remember. Next time I'll try the pancakes. Service was fast and the waiter was nice.

For brunch we went to “The Griddle cafe” located at 7916 Sunset Blvd in the city of Hollywood CA 90046 phone number (323) 378-6311. My nephew, D’Artagnan had told me about this spot many years ago…
I don’t usually leave negative reviews—especially when the service is good—but I feel I owe this one to people considering a visit. I hadn’t had sugar in nearly three months due to a very aggressive cut, so I was genuinely craving something indulgent. That’s what brought me to The Griddle. The service itself was good, though not exceptional enough to compensate for the food, which unfortunately was quite bland. I ordered scrambled eggs, the Fruity Pebbles French toast, and the Black Magic pancake (filled with Oreos). I was especially excited for the Fruity Pebbles French toast, but it fell noticeably short of expectations—it tasted just alright, nothing special or memorable. The Oreo pancake was disappointing as well, coming off somewhat undercooked. The only consistently solid item was the scrambled eggs, which, in my opinion, are hard to mess up. While I understand that paid parking is part of dining in a big city, discovering that parking was no longer free—didn’t help the overall experience. Overall, there are far better breakfast options in the area. This is one of those places where presentation clearly beats flavor.
Service was very good, food was average . Had tacos a d they were not the best .for arrived fast , place not very clean , a bit noisy

A one time stop for me unfortunately. I ordered the tequila sunrise (huevos rancheros) and its presentation wasn't it. Looked like an open omelet or cheese blob. Additional charge for avocado and sour cream(unnecessary). Pancakes wowser for its size but not in taste. Loaded cafe is a better choice for pancake fans. Good coffee and server assistant needs to be more careful bussing tables. (Plates slamming and tossing silverware) while guests around.

Absolute trash. The food is inedible. They just serve a ton of it. This place used to be pretty good, and that’s where the ratings come from, it’s not worth coming at all. Eat anywhere else.
