Amazing Thai desserts. It’s all made traditional and tastes great! The staff is friendly and helpful. There are also meat, snacks, and sauces. Parking is annoying. Don’t let them charge you to park if you are only going to this shop.

I am so so happy I got to visit this store!!!!! They had all the treats I was expecting to be there!!! I am so excited to try these treats! They also had boba tea and other savoury snacks. I will hopefully visit one day again. I came all the way from Pennsylvania. The staff were friendly and helpful and recommended things to me. Very cute small shop with a lot to give!

They have a variety of ethnic desserts such as fried bananas or taro coated in a sweet batter with sesame seeds. They have other Asian snack foods that you may not see in a regular grocery store. The items change daily and run out as the night time comes around. It is a small place but good to visit after having a meal locally.

This is my home sweet home for fresh dessert and variety of Thai products. Love here

I lived in Sukhothai in Thailand and was not expecting to find a Thai bakery here which sells authentic Thai products. I am over the moon to find this place, and drive all the way from Gardena once a week to buy sweet delicious snacks. Everything I have purchased so far has been of a high standard and I highly recommend to try their goods even if you have never had Thai sweets before.

Great Thai Dessert Shop reminds me of the Weekend Market and the MBK shopping center with all the vendors selling Thai original sweets and desserts. Grab a quick bite or take it to go..bit at least go one time to see if you like it.

I always have to stop here for fresh Thai dessert. cute and packed little shop! parking can be difficult on the street. they do have valet in the parking lot but I seem to always have a good luck with street parking every time i go!

My favorite dessert place in LA. The taro egg pastries are my favorite... i can't even explain why I like them so much. I was vegan for 2 years before I started eating these. I'm no longer vegan.

M

My favorite dessert place right in the heart of Thaitown. They have a wide variety of Thai dessert and good, the best sticky rice with mango in the area.

I absolutely love this store. I finally tried the grilled sticky rice with Taro and it was delicious ! Added them to my list of go tos which include the steamed coconut milk treats and pandan layer cake.

A

They hide this place bc it's too good for a pale face like me, but I found you my love. Don't skip them when you go through LA, people line up for their coconut dessert. It's like young coconut flesh toasted into an amazing smelling sphere with coconut cream inside

S

I searched High and low for the Lotus Cookie aka Crispy Flower. I found it and it was absolutely delicious .

This is the best mango sticky rice. They add this little cup of round crispies. (Taste like rice krispies.) It goes so good with the creme cup, their sweet yet salty sticky rice and fresh/perfect mango slices.

R

What a treat to have this place in the neighborhood! So many unique Thai products to try and the deserts are amazing. Some of my favorites are the mango sticky rice and the pandan custard buns. There are also these really good banana leaf wrapped deserts that I can’t remember the name of, they reminded me of tamales! 🇹🇭Love Thai Town!

F

Tiny shop in Thai Town we always come here when in LA to get our Thai desserts. You want to taste everything but these little boxes add up $6-$12 and before you know it you have just spent $300. It was quite busy in the shop. $$$$

G
Gloria Kwon

A small shop with various authentic thai desserts that are frozen, prepackaged, and freshly made. Not too sure about the other sweets and goodies, but this is my go to place for freshly made mango sticky rice! Only $10, and the portions are large. I have the exact cash ready so that it's a quick transaction. There is a validated parking lot, but if you are just picking up, the guys let you park temporarily. Highly recommend for anyone who loves mango sticky rice!

A

I like coming here after eating at Jitlada for dessert. Their sticky rice is so good here. Also, pretty much anything in their window display or the fridge in the back had some good stuff too. You can also stock up on snacks or no perishables but you are really just coming here for the fresh stuff, let’s be real.

j

You can find fresh durian here.

A

I love the grilled sticky rice with taro wrapped in banana leaf. They have an amazing selection of taro, coconut, and pandan desserts. Vegetarian and vegan options available. There is a parking lot, but if it’s busy there are metered spots on the street.

We always stop here after dinner or before we go home. A perfect ending after a fiery and superb Thai meal!

Bhan Kanom Thai is a wonderful place to enjoy traditional Thai desserts and snacks. I visited this store with my friends on a Friday night and we were amazed by the variety and quality of the products. The store is located in Hollywood and has a colorful and inviting display of fresh and dried desserts. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and they explained the ingredients and flavors of each item. We tried the kanom bueng (crispy crepe), the sai sai (stuffed pastry), the steamed banana cake, the pinched cookies, and the mango sticky rice. The kanom bueng was thin and crunchy, filled with cream and coconut shreds. The sai sai was soft and flaky, with a sweet and savory filling of minced pork and peanuts. The steamed banana cake was moist and fragrant, with a hint of pandan. The pinched cookies were cute and crispy, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The mango sticky rice was fresh and juicy, with a creamy coconut sauce. The portions were generous and the prices were affordable. We enjoyed our desserts in a cozy and comfortable seating area, with Thai music playing in the background. Bhan Kanom Thai is a great place to experience authentic Thai desserts in Los Angeles. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves sweets and treats.

Authentic Thai desserts and freshly made. This place has lots of goodies and snacks from Thailand. Every time I stop by here when I’m in LA. Fresh durians are so so delicious! !

L
Lydia Cheng

This is the best spot for thai desserts and snacks in LA. The prices are affordable and the store is well organized. Tons of goodies here for great prices and lots of coconut and pandan flavored desserts. The crispy crepes are amazing and a must order item! The parking lot has a fee but tell the attending people that you’re there for a pick up and they won’t ask you to pay.

M
Millie Khou

My partner and I come here every single time we’re in Thai town to get desserts! He loves pandan and banana, and I always get this flower-shaped egg dessert because of the nostalgia and taste! Depending on what you get, it will add up, but it’s definitely worth it if you want a little treat to support a small business!

J

Cute lil shop with a variety of Thai desserts and ingredients/products - mini groceries. There is amazing mango sticky rice and other fresh traditional Thai desserts here!

L

They make this tiny pound cake. It's an icing topped caramel (or toffee) cake with nuts in the icing. If you love those flavors: caramel and toffee. You'll love this.

E
Ed Hendel

My favorite is the fried bananas - delicious when fresh and warm! The toffee cake is good too, it has a coffee flavor.

R

I’m so happy every time to visit this place, There are a lot of stuffs from Thailand especially Thai dessert, Thai noodles, Thai snacks, Thai ingredients, Thai Chili plates!

T
Tu Lam

This shop has so many yummy items. Some are snacks from Thailand while others they make fresh in house. I can't get enough of the bbq pork skewers that they put out around lunch time. Another favor is the coconut jelly. There are a lot of desserts I'm not familiar with so I like trying them all. Nothing disappoints if you're a fan of coconut.

If you want to feel like in Thailand check out bhan kanon thai for some great Thai desserts. We got mango sticky rice and the Thai Grilled Sweet Sticky Rice with Banana Filling and loved it

R

I cant wait to go back here. The desserts I tried were so amazing. Im also nuts about sticky rice so I tried different ones - mango, taro, and banana. All were so tasty. There was another sample pack of what looked like thailand equivalent to mochi. Awesome, as well.

Enjoyed Thai sweets during my trip in L.A. Many selection from dried, hot, and cold sweets. Nice service from staff. They are cooked them fresh from store. Free parking during the day time but supper it’s valet parking.

Plenty of fresh Thai snacks with good flavor and quality. Service is lacking but if the food is good without much competition why bother, right? Kanom Khrok is always on point.

M

Lovely people working here. It is the best mango sticky rice but really everything is good especially if you like coconut and pandan. The young coconut crepe cake is my favorite but I usually try something new each time and have never had anything not delicious.

S

Grilled taro sticky rice is to die for!! This is a sweet lover’s paradise. Plenty of options to choose from, and I highly recommend the traditional Thai desserts that they cook from scratch. Also a great place to buy unique candies from around the world.

Wish I could live in this store! It has everything you could ever want when it comes to Thai desserts. There’s also a variety of fresh fruit. We had durian, mangoes and mangosteen, all were delicious and so fresh. Everyone is so kind. What I love most is that items are packaged nicely when you check out, they even put all your items in a nice tote bag with their name on it. Every time I’m in LA, this is one of my first stops. I can’t forget to mention all the wonderful restaurants around Bahn Kanom Thai. Only thing I’d suggest is park across the street because the parking lot is small. On the weekends, they charge for parking.

A
Alex Yu

I ordered an order of Khanom Bueang (crispy coconut crepe) and purple coconut rice cakes, an order of pandan and Thai tea mini pancakes, and khao lam (black sticky rice & black beans sweetened in a bamboo shoot). My favorite were the khanom thungtag and the khao lam. Both are on opposite sides of the texture spectrum but lend their own unique flavors. Can't wait to come back again!

D

MANGO STICKY RICE!!! It’s so so good. Tastes just like they do it in Thailand.

If you’re missing Thailand or just craving something fun this is your snack paradise 🇹🇭✨ The place may be small, but it’s packed with Thai goodies! From dried noodles to fresh desserts and imported snacks, it’s like walking into a mini Thai market in LA. The dessert fridge is a whole experience: golden treats, coconut cakes, and even fresh durian! Bonus: I also got 2 free Dino Park snacks with my big purchase super cute and crunchy! -And if you spend over $100, they’ll give you a free reusable tote bag—colorful, sturdy, and great for grocery trips. 🚗 Parking can be tricky in the evening and might require payment. I went during the day and found available spots more easily. Definitely a fun place to explore and grab something uniquely Thai!

An incredible Thai snacks store. You will find hot foods, snacks, chips, desserts and any related Thai snacks here. If you've recently visited Thailand and you're looking for a specific snack, you may find it here. The kanom beung (crispy crepe) is incredibly addictive and such a great deal. They make it fresh until they're stocked again. The desserts are delicious and you wont be disappointed with the quality as it will bring you back to Thailand. Parking is VERY tight if you have a truck or a mid size SUV or CUV. Worth visiting!

As a Thai, I gotta say, everything here is awesome, legit, and not overly sweet. They have a ton of stuff, including Thai desserts you can barely find in the US, like Kanom Tokyo (ขนมโตเกียว), Layer Cake (ขนมชั้น), and Pangi (แป้งจี่). I'm obsessed with their Thong Yot and Lod Chong. The staff is very nice and friendly. If I lived in LA, this would totally be my go-to Thai dessert place.

M

Excellent! Outstanding! Pure wow! One of the only places that sells Luk Chup, the speciality mung bean paste dessert that is shaped and coloured into fruits and vegetables with a glossy gelatinous coating. The Luk Chup here is the best I ever had! Just look at the pictures! They look better than the real thing! Each piece is carefully made and melts in your mouth with creamy mung bean paste. It’s really too beautiful to eat but I assure you each piece tastes as good as it looks! They also serve tons of authentic Thai exotic desserts that are beautiful to look at and taste amazing! The crispy crepes are also a must! It’s like bliss on your mouth with a thin, crunchy, fortune cookie like batter except thinner with sweet and savoury rich flavour! This place is bomb!

M

LA's best kept Thai Dessert Secret! Authentic scratch made dessert made fresh daily and even nightly (as the muffins and coconut desserts I bought tonight were still warm!) Upon entering you will be transported to another country. When I walked in, I thought I was in a market located in an Asian province! Go anytime time of day and you'll be in for a fresh and warm sweet surprise! If you like southeast Asian sweets, look no further.

J

Unique find for dessert options in my opinion. I am unsure what they are called but the dessert I always get taste like a light weight fortune cookie with a sweet addition in the middle. The middle topping I believe is egg in some type of sweet form. Very hard to explain but so delicious to eat! They do offer two different options, the first being my favorite, with the yellow sweet topping and the other being orange in color and it is the salty version. I will forever be a customer.

Okay. This place is no secret to Thai people in LA and all around the US. It's the must stop shop for your Thai dessert and no wonder it's so popular among people everywhere. They literally have all the traditional Thai desserts. I bring everyone visiting here and they get so excited because there's so many selection. I wish the store can be bigger because it gets so packed sometimes. The customer service is great. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I know you can find Mango and sticky rice at many places but the one at Bhan Kanom Thai just hits the spots. The sticky rice is perfection here. Luk Chup is another favorite of mine and they super cute almost too cute to eat but it's too delicious to pass up. It's made of mung bean shape like fruits and dip in gelatin. Coconut lover try the coconut jelly. From their fresh bakery and Thai snacks and candy you'll never leave there with one thing because you want everything but for sure you'll leave with a happy belly. Must try!

Desserts was delicious. Price are a little pricey for simple sticky rice and mango. Parking was insane and no place to park. They accepted credit cards that was a plus. The service was friendly except the rude man.

Is located about 5 minute walk from Hollywood and Western Metro Station. In the Thai town section of Hollywood. The customer service was great. Is a small little store with a lot of personality and charm. Everything is reasonable priced and taste great. Sticky rice with Taro or Banana and black bean is only $2 and so delicious. Is pandemic safe and clean with social distancing

I really loved the crepes - the salty ones are great because they are salty AND sweet, but the sweet ones are nice too! The price is good too. I also liked the sweet green rice balls. I thought the sticky rice that looked like cute flowers (made of pumpkin) was bland. I'll be back again to ask to try more sweet and salty things!

Compared to Thai price, this place is quite expensive so it take me some time to adjust my way of thinking. Still this is the place if you are looking for fresh traditional Thai dessert. They have relatively dry dessert that last longer as well.

Absolutely amazingly authentic food, from entrees to desserts to products, if its Thai they have it! The sticky rice mango is soooo delicious my mouths watering from just thinking about it! I'd go here just for the sticky rice! That's how amazing they make it! Service pretty much is mediocre at best, but eff it! The food makes up for it in every efffing way!:D

This place has so much thai desserts I've never seen before. Family owned to 2nd generation. It's been here for 20 years.

Great Thai store. You can ask the employees that work here for help if your not familiar with certain items. Good customer service.

Great place to have Thai desserts but hard to park or find a parking spot. Overall, a fun place to try new experiences and enjoy all kinds of Thai food!

Hands down one of the best Thai snack shop around. I don’t even care if it’s “overpriced” compare to how much it is in Thailand, I get to enjoy my pressed sugary powder milk tablet in the US and that’s all that matters to me. Mid price point because you’ll end up getting a bag full of snacks and it really adds up lol.

3.5 stars. Cool Thai dessert/snack convinience store selling variety of goods. The ones we wanted were either sold out or not being made on Thursday night so we had to go for random dessert options which were good. It was a coconut drink with bunch of bite size fruits and nuts with ice and another was a sticky green cake with super salty dipping sauce. Not all of the items in the menu is made everyday, a lot of them are only availble during the weekend. Big minus point because price is not listed for any of the items. You have to ask and it’s very overpriced for a lot of the items. It’s too expensive and inconvenient.

Although I wasn’t amazed by the tastes of the treats here, the flavors seem homey and authentic. Definitely a unique place to try new (or old if you are familiar with them) desserts!

Cute little thai dessert store with a small shop. Can be a little crowded. Very little parking otherwise choose valet. Pricey

It is my favorite Thai dessert place for Togo. They have many fresh and all ready made desserts. We ordered mango sticky rice, coconut pancakes, and crispy taco. There are many more options. It is expensive but it is easy to find a Thai dessert shop. They do take credit card but i forgot what is the minimum. Parking is on the street and street option.

Mango sticky rice and another flaky coconut dessert were had at this Thai dessert spot and the desserts were delicious except the mango sticker. rice was a bit too sweet. the other was not too sweet and much more favorable

What a super busy place. We were just there for snacks and it looks like there were many others seeking the same thing, even at night! We've never seen huge lines at night just for snacks but it looks like these Thai snacks are beloved. Unfortunately their mango sticky rice was sold out. Service was fast. The ambiance was pretty old school.

I went yesterday and spent over $108 on authentic Thai desserts and other goods from Japan. It is clean & fully stocked. I knocked of one star because the worker by the grocery section was not helpful at all. Also, it was only 3:30 pm on a Monday & the bao is already gone.

It is a great place to find authentic Thai dessert, but seriously there are other local shops those tastes much better. Plus, we bought over $700. But, the service we received was just lame. When we asked for missing order that we paid for. Cashiers questions us and gave us the look even when they forget to give it. I definitely question their lever of service yet again or product quality!

Coconut milk cupcake(Kanom Thuai) taste no good.. kind of stink and The purple color coconut deep-fried pancake (Pang Jee) after I ate only 2 pieces I felt something wrong in my mouth and my throat..For sure no good for our health.. I have to throw it all away. I waste $6+12 = $18 for bad food. Never bought them again.

I came here yesterday and was very pleased with all the choices of delicious treats you would only find back home in Thailand. I bought over $200 worth of stuff and decided to come back today and spent $70. As I was checking out, i inquired about the delicious bean cakes I purchased yesterday. I was hoping that they would have some and to my surprise they were sold out. The middle-aged Thai worker with short hair was very friendly and explained to me that they would make another batch in the evening, but when I asked what time I should return, I was met with some very rude and inappropriate remarks from the younger Thai girl with long hair. When I asked what time I should come back she said "some time in the evening". When I asked exactly what time should I come back she said "I don't know", even though she was the person who was making them. All of the responses were made in a rude- I don't care- tone and was unfriendly. We are Thai people. We don't treat each other this way. We worked hard to get proper entry into this country and to think in a city where the Thai population should be looking out for each other, I'm met with this sorry excuse for a Thai person. I will not come back.

For the price we have paid (over $100), we expected a better quality for our Thai desserts. The Kanom Tom we bought had funny taste and smell, but the owner still put it on a shelf.

The female cashier with a ponytail was gossiping in Thai about the customer before me, complaining that they didn’t tip, while also making rude and discriminatory remarks. That attitude completely turned me off and honestly made me not want to tip either. The cashier’s only job is to ring up orders, this isn’t table service. If someone wants tips, they should work as a server, not as a cashier insulting customers behind their backs. I honestly felt like asking her, “Do you tip at McDonald’s too?” 🤣 Very unprofessional and disappointing.

I purchased this taro bean cake with salted egg (2 boxes) last Friday evening, but when I opened one of them this morning, I found that it had mold growing on the surface. The other box was totally fine. I’m quite disappointed because it seems spoiled. I also tried calling their phone, but there was no response or help regarding a replacement. Very disappointed!

Second time being here and I got sold spoiled dessert again. The first time it was pandan pudding and this time it’s the mango pudding. Both had a sour aftertaste and an icky smell. This is super upsetting especially since I gave this place a second chance. And these desserts aren’t cheap either. Maybe it’s just their pudding that pose a higher risk of being spoiled so probably avoid them. But I wouldn’t trust a shop that fails to do food quality check.
