Love this place, I like the fact they are open for dinner also... The waitress we usually get is very nice and personable.

The cinnamon roll french toast is one of the best things you will ever taste in your life. Do not pass up the opportunity.

Fabulous. No one in town can touch the delicious food, the service. As an example, today they had outside waiting but were seated pretty quickly. Although they were super busy, they work as a team to tend to your needs. Thank you from my parents and I. See you again soon!

Eddie’s has been here forever and that’s because its a local spot worth stopping for. Greasy spoon plain and simple American style goodness with some Mexican stuff thrown in there because it’s California ya know? Service and food is on point and place is always clean. Prices aren’t too bad these by todays standards either.

As always it is one of my favorites! Tonight my son’s took me there and I had the Father’s Day special which was ribeye and lobster tail. Yeah and it was simply amazing, good taste and a giant serving!

While ownership changed hands awhile ago the food is still excellent and the waitresses are great, especially Roxanne. Fast customer service with a smile. Just wished they had more vegan and vegetarian options.

Keep your arms and legs in your seat at all times. The friendly wait staff is constantly taking order, serving your meal, clearing the tables for the next group. The guys in the kitchen never stopped moving- then our lunch arrived. Wow-the food was unbelievable. So make the trip to San Banos CA - and eat at Eddie’s Famous Cafe.

Clean, friendly, homey atmosphere. Cuban sandwich was delish. Good portions. Husband is gluten free, so got burrito in bowl. Fries were nice and crisp. We will be back!

Today they had one server when we went in at 10:30 and she had a full house and had a positive attitude and was everywhere and doing a great job, Kudos on hiring great people, oh yeah I enjoyed my meal it's always been good! For an older building and being there for a long time it's well maintained and kept up no musty smells and very cozy I think.

I have been to all the breakfast spots who boast about being the best. I'm from San Jose. This by far is the best breakfast I have ever had in the last year. I tested 4 other restaurants and there hashbrowns were greasy and tasted like they never changed the grease for cooking the potatoes. This place the hashbrowns were tasty crispy and not greasy. We went to Eddie's for breakfast while visiting in February for a memorial. The food was great and filling. We didn't know Larry Lewis had sold the restaurant and were thankful the food was the same. When all of a sudden, out from the rear dining area came Larry, he immediately recognized us and came over to say hello! Haven't seen him in 20yrs! Nice to come back to the town you born and raised in and after all the changes made, you still see someone you know.

I just love this place. The staff is the greatest ever, they greet you and talk to you like your family they always have a smile on their face and just asking you about your day they make it really homie there. And to top it off the food is excellent always hard always fresh and just perfect thank you Eddie's and to top it off they have the best homemade salsa at this place homemade jams and everything

Local family-owned business. The owners actually cook your food. The food is all made so carefully even the jelly. From breakfast to dinner. They have a long time staff members that will treat you so well. This restaurant has one many awards. It's right on the highway easy for anybody to stop in.

What a find I was driving through town and decided to google a great family breakfast spot, let me tell you it did not disappoint. Great food great service love the atmosphere and decorations. Food was brought in a timely manner and perfectly done. This is gonna be my go to while driving through town. Don't for get to take you a homemade enormous cinnamon roll for later. A must try spot!

The strawberry milkshake i got togo was great and the cinnamon rolls are huge and tasted excellent (that I did remember to take a picture of since I got 2 to go) I definitely will be stopping by again next time I'm close.

Will definitely frequent this place. Got to try the cinnamon french toast (4 huge slices, could only eat 2) and a country Benedict. Biscuit was warm and buttery. My husband shared his seafood omelette and it was ok, I was just so invested in the biscuit but I love carbs I didn't really mind the omelette that as much. Will make this place a staple.

On a return trip through California, I stopped at an an old haunt of mine, Eddie's Famous Cafe. The building and interior was the same but the service personal was different. Come to find out that the place had changed hands. Menu was the same but the food was different. I don't know if my memories were clouding my judgement but there was something just a little off. I was delivered a good meal but not like in the past. Service was a bit chaotic but good enough.

While most of the time the food here is in my opinion, excellent, they can be inconsistent however. I love Country fried steak, eggs hash browns, biscuits and gravy. One time the gravy was runny and this last the has browns over cooked and burned in places. I was disappointed but like I said, most of the time they are the best. Next time I will send it back. I am actually surprised they served them like that, watered down gravy and burnt hash browns. I am still going back, I haven't given up on them.

Had the French toast combo. The french toast was very good, the eggs and the bacon a little dry and flavorless. The service was slow and the ambient temperature of the restaurant was uncomfortably warm.

The food here is horrible!! Some of the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Super salty ham, hard potatoes with no flavor, bitter hollandaise, just nasty food all around. Idk what all the hype is. And for the price, you’re 10x better off at Black Bear down the road.

Nothing wrong with the place but been coming for years and never have I had a bad experience as I did today with our waitress (the owners daughter). We had a waitress already and she decided to help us without the other waitress knowledge. We waited for an hour for our food and nothing. Decided to leave, really embarrassing but unfortunately might not decide to return.

Was told “sorry I didn’t even check your order to be honest” by the person I was speaking with on the phone. Seems like they don’t care about providing good service.
