Sorelle Italian Bistro

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. The food here is made with amazing skill and attention to detail. Flavors are fantastic. The food is just on-point. The pastas here are cooked perfectly al dente. The arancini is amazing, gotta try! One of the ways I judge a restaurant is by how good their Caesar salad is. Literally, any restaurant I go to, if there is Caesar salad on the menu, I will order it. The Caesar salad at Sorelle is perhaps the best Caesar salad I have ever eaten in my life. The dressing is delicate and perfectly highlights the crisp romaine without being too salty, too strong, or too overwhelming. Their take on tiramisu is unique, although certainly not traditional, and I wasn't a fan of the dark chocolate pieces inside.

I went here on a Saturday night with a friend at 6:00 without a reservation, and we had to wait half an hour for a seat. Complimentary bread was served, and we split the calamari appetizer which was very good. I had the lasagna which was also very good, and very filling! I managed to finish it without bringing a box home, but I haven’t been that full in a very long time. Overall, a great Italian family restaurant with good food and good portions!

Omg the food was delicious! We had the chicken marsala with superb mushroom sauce and the creamest mash potatoes! The lasagna was a great big portion of pasta and meat and sauce all done right. The Mediterranean salad was perfect of romaine lettuce, feta cheese, red onions and olives. Lastly the tiramusu out of this world! Will be back!!!

Nice surprise that Sorelle Italian Bistro has survived the pandemic and is still as wonderful as I remember. After being gone for five years, I was visiting San Jose and decided to revisit Sorelle. The food is still top notch. Service is efficient and friendly. The interior is a bit dated and a tad noisy but comfortable. It is a good memory and still a fantastic experience.

There’s a reason why this place gets crowded. It has the “trifecta”: good food, service and prices. If there was anything negative it would be the limited parking so get there early.

Wonderful family owned feeling when you step inside. Excellent food. Got the goat cheese bruschetta, chicken parm, short rib pasta and a cannoli. Reasonably priced. Fast & friendly service. Will definitely be coming back. Huge portions!

We ordered delivery from Sorelle Italian Bistro tonight and everything exceeded expectations. Every dish was full of flavor and depth. The meat in short rib bolognese was tender and soft, and the sauce tasted rich and layered. The lasagna was hearty without being heavy. They both tasted like had been simmered with care. A pleasant surprise was the garlic bread that came with the order — I didn’t even know it was included, but it was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. The tiramisu is soaked with a lovely bitter liquor note that balanced the creaminess so well. It was such a big portion that I saved it for tomorrow… but couldn’t resist and ended up eating it again late at night because it was calling to me. Will def come to store the next time to explore more options

I thought my food was spectacular, really good flavor in light sauce. My bf thought his was 7/10. I saw a bunch of people order the spaghetti with meat sauce and a giant meatball, it looked amazing and I'll be trying that next time. If you want to eat at a real Italian restaurant go here.

We had a wonderful time here celebrating my birthday! They were very accommodating and substituted mashed potatoes for fettuccine Alfredo for me when I ordered Grilled Salmon Piccata. Their pizza and desserts were absolutely delicious too, we will for sure be coming back when we crave Italian food!

The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind—you can tell that they take pride in what they do. The food? Absolutely delicious. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, from the bread they brought right as we sat down (and that amazing roasted garlic olive oil dipping sauce) to perfectly seasoned pork chops, to the pasta and the incredible house red wine. You can really tell they’re using traditional recipes and quality ingredients—it’s the kind of food that makes you slow down and savor every bite. We had a great evening. And Trish and Teresa are the best!

The place was packed. The staff were extremely nice and very joyful. The dishes are gigantic! We had some excellent entrees, everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Come hungry, you won't be disappointed!

If you are visiting from outside the area, you really should give this a try. We also shared the Calamari Fritta. Then look at the big plates of Meat Lasagna and Spaghetti and Meatballs, even the side of vegetables! My husband and I divided the Tortellini Alfredo and pancetta and peas and, even sharing it, we couldn't finish it. And how did it taste? OMG, it was delicious! Yum, yum, yum! This is my parents' favorite Italian restaurant. I can see why! TIP--At least before Covid, if you wanted a seat when the restaurant opened for dinner at 5 pm, you needed to get there early and stand in line. Apparently, it's not just my parents' favorite place.

Their chicken parmigiana and meatball sandwiches are so good, and I also highly recommend their cheese & sausage pizza. It's so good that it stands on its own without having to load it up with additional toppings! The service is always attentive, but never rushed, making Sorelle excellent for lunch meetings or date nights.

Tried the Fettuccine with jumbo shrimp. Three jumbo shrimp, well cooked and meaty. The white wine butter sauce tasted like butter. Pasta was properly al dente, but not homemade. I was expecting a sauce that also tasted like fish. Service is great, you continuously have a full bottle of water on the table. Terri, one of the three sisters was our server, she rocked it.

Was super excited to try this place, reviews amazing and looks like a neighborhood favorite. That said, pasta was extremely overcooked, two different ones. The pizza was a heavy weight crust with little taste, not an Italian crust. The tables need to be removed and a deep clean on the floors as the layers of grease have created a slick surface, this often happens in older restaurants. It's not that it's dirty either, it's clean, just has that grease layer that is tough to get off. Staff was nice but a bit slow serving and checking on us but the clearing staff was absolutely amazing and helpful~!!!

The garlic bread I got looks totally different from pics I saw. The margherita pizza doesn’t use fresh basil and overall isn’t much better than frozen pizzas from Safeway.... judging by its rating and reviews I was expecting something better.
