The food was fantastic, the location was great (thank heavens for heaters on a bad weather day), but, above all, the service was terrific. We've never been there before, I made a casual mention of my birthday, and a magnificent sponge cake appeared a few moments later. Just lovely hospitality! 5 stars.
I’m so incredibly happy that Flagler Beach has a French bistro like this. Went on a Saturday and only waited 15 minutes(you can also wait in the bar and get drinks as well!) although the bartender forgot my drink, it’s okay because they were so busy. The atmosphere is cozy, cute and ideal for a date night as well! We got seated by the host and we didn’t know who our waiter was, waited for about 10 minutes or so until he showed up to take our order. Our server Paul was great, personable, respectful and very friendly! The food was absolutely delicious and the price was worth it as well. I recommend this place and would bring family and friends here too. 10/10
Great beach bistro experience! Menu is terrific and food lives up to the menu. Careful of the complimentary table bread (fresh, house-made and frickin delicious!), the sandwiches are more than a meal... Very generous portion. Service was impeccable. Moderately busy with about half of the tables filled. Large open and welcoming bar was being enjoyed by a decent crowd. Nice and cool spot to escape the summer heat.
Amazing spot!! I can't wait to go back. Every single thing we ordered from the drinks to the dessert was amazing. The build your own duck lettuce wraps were out of this world delicious. The duck confit and fries was amazing. I'll be having both of those dishes again for sure. Don't walk, run here! They don't take reservations for smaller parties so show up expecting to wait, or look for a spot at the bar. Either way, it's worth it.
Lovely change of pace from the beach restaurants here in Flagler Beach. Service was top notch. Food was amazing. The ambiance was modern and pretty!! There was a very loud guest at the bar, which is where we were seated. The bartender recognized it and offered for us to move and bought us a drink on the house because he wanted us to have a good experience. Thank you very much, Gabe. Kelly welcomed us in and from start to finish a great experience!! Can’t Close this review without highly recommending their sticky toffee pudding, dessert it was out of this world!!
By far the best restaurant in Flagler Beach. The restaurant itself is a new build out and very modern looking. The menu was pretty diverse and all of the food was just great. I found the prices to be low for the quality of food that they had served. I would have expected to pay more and would have. Service was also great, attentive and friendly.
What a delightful & DELICIOUS place! We came for Sunday brunch around 1030a & were seated immediately. The host & server were very attentive at this upscale bistro which gave very chill vibes. Our drinks arrived quickly as well - the kids were impressed with the quality of the sweet tea & I got the surprise of 2-for-1 mimosas bc a brunch isn't a brunch until there's a mimosa or bloody mary 😆 It didn't take long from the time we ordered to the first bite either. Our 10-year old son made his own chicken & waffles from piecing together 2 of the kids entrees. My husband order the smoked salmon, our teenage daughter ordered the filet & eggs & I had the duck & waffles. We didn't leave a bite on the plates, it was that good! 😋🤌 The smoked salmon had great flavor & nice texture. The filet was perfectly cooked, so tender & flavorful. The duck & waffles was perfect - crispy duck skin, juicy cooked duck meat & nice sweet, crispy waffles with the sweet blueberry compote. This place has been our top favorite place we've eaten at while on this vacation by far! We're already planning to come back for dinner & eying the dessert options!
Great atmosphere and view. Virginia Oysters were fresh and so sweet (no photo-we ate 'em and so enjoyed not thinking about a photo but the moment). Amanda had the Seafood Potpie, and I had the Duck Confit & Fries. The Duck melted off the bone! The succulent legs & chutney were paired perfectly! The golden parmesan & truffle fried potatoes were crispy yet soft inside. Great combination! The Seafood Potpie was beautifully presented! The seafood melody was thick & creamy with classic, shrimp, clams, flaky white fish, and scallops in the medley of vegetables already provided in this remarkable dish, all topped with a colossal lobster claw! Highly recommend for all seafood, meat, and food lovers alike.
We had been trying to come here since they opened, but there's always an hour and a half wait. Since we actually had a day off, we were able to visit earlier in the day without a crazy wait. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the seafood pot pie, which tasted like a clam chowder (with 3-4 pieces of shrimp in it) and topped with a lobster claw. We sat outside so we could have a view of the ocean. Plus, I'm not a fan of the layout of tables on the inside. The bench seat against the wall with regular chairs across from you reminds me of a banquet hall. There is no privacy since you are literally sitting next to the party next to you. They could have done so much more on the inside, but I still love this restaurant and highly recommend it. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu. That is...if I'm able to order something else besides the pot pie. Every since I left I've been craving another one! ❤️
Beautiful ocean view from every seat. The decor and furniture are comfortable, but the view is amazing and the food is spectacular. We always find something completely new to try & haven't been disappointed yet.
Really cute place and definitely feels 'fancy' considering the other places on the beach. Fancy doesn't describe the prices though because these cocktails were GREAT and the pricing was excellent compared to cocktails we've had all over the country. Sat at the bar and all the bartenders were awesome. Loved the old fashioned and espresso martini in particular.
We had an amazing experience at the Next Door Cafe. Manny was beyond attentive and provided us with great service! The tempura shrimp were a standout and all of the food was fantastic! The ambience also made for a wonderful atmosphere. Will visit again!
The best cucumber jalapeño margarita that I have ever had was at this restaurant! Our party of four enjoyed handcrafted drinks and delicious entrees. I LOVED my seafood pot pie with a side of yummy fried green beans. Others enjoyed grouper and salmon dishes. We will be back for sure!
We recently had lunch at this beachfront restaurant, nearly two weeks ago, and the ambiance was simply delightful. Our server, Amy, truly elevated the experience with her exceptional attentiveness and knowledge of the menu. The food was delicious! I recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy a lovely meal by the beach.
They were very accommodating for our party of 12. Manny our waiter was very professional and competent. The food was very good. I only held back a star because I had a Seafood Pot Pie that could have had a little more seafood.
Food was delicious. Salmon tartar was so fresh, the steak sandwiches were tender and so flavorful. My sister had the seafood pot pie and LOVED it, it had plenty of seafood in it. Tamila was our server and she did such an amazing job giving us recommendations and was really attentive. Her service was outstanding!
Great food and service beachside! Food and service is fantastic and the beach atmosphere is a bonus. We shave always enjoyed our dining experience here.
We had such a great date night at Next Door! Really fast and amazing service (Virginia was so sweet!!!), yummy food, perfect portion size. Definitely recommend!
If you’re ever in the area, this place is a gem. Angie was great! She was very attentive and was able to suggest great options. The bread was great. We ordered the spicy peel & eat shrimp, lobster bisque, filet mignon, and seafood pot pie…ALL excellent choices. Simply amazing and will be sure to stop in next time we’re in the area.
Sweet spot by the beach! Good vibes, friendly service (Beth was amazing!), and delicious food. They had a big oval booth table in the back that accommodated our group of 11. I do like these tables, and don’t like these tables. It was nice that we were all able to get seated together and talk together, but the people sitting in the middle had no way of getting out to the bathroom without having everyone get up, and the table was so huge that it wasn’t easy to talk to the person on the opposite end without shouting a bit, and i felt a little self conscious about it for disturbing other customers. Though on a Sunday afternoon, the place was quite loud and no one seemed to care much. Cobb Salad with blackened chicken Wow! I never know if my chicken is gonna be good in a Cobb salad… But it was! The “blackened” seasoning was delicious. I had hoped for beef rather than chicken, but the price difference was just not justified in my head. I’m glad i stuck with the chicken, because it was really quite good. The rest of the salad didn’t look especially exciting, but it was crunchy fresh, with big wedges of tomatoes, thin slices of bacon, avocado and eggs, and blue cheese crumbles that were very good. Angus burger The meat had great popping flavors. Hany really enjoyed the burger. It looked really good. And the fries that came with were gorgeous to look at, and delicious to munch on. Friends were jealous and regretting their choice… Duck and Waffles His choice of duck and waffles was under-wowing. What a weird combination… a good attempt at fancying up chicken and waffles, i think, but a failure in execution. First, the duck was slow cooked, and not fried. But that was specifically noted on the menu. Don’t expect this to be anything like fried chicken. And the dish was glazed with syrup, with blueberry jam+blueberries on the bottom, which made it sweet, but too sweet. You want gravy in this dish and there is a reason why chicken and waffles come with gravy. The waffles were also quite dense and doughy. So a definite no for this dish. Vegetarian Benedict I didn’t try this, but friend loved it despite it being vegetarian and him not being vegetarian. Not sure why he got it lol, but he said the flavors were really good. Lobster Benedict This looked even better than the vegetarian Benedict, and friend was impressed. Overall, definitely a place to come back to. Which is what our local friends were doing. lol. They did say they wish they had a rotating specials menu or something, because their menu is not extensive and they come back so often but can always only get what they always get. I, on the other hand, say if you have a good thing going, don’t rock the boat! A small menu is always a plus in my mind.
We love Next Door Beach Bistro, and our first Sunday brunch there was no exception. You can find chicken and waffles on just about any brunch menu, but duck and waffles? Incredible. We also ordered two of our longtime favorites — the roasted beet and goat cheese salad and the truffle fries — and they were just as delicious as ever. The highlight, though, was our server, Cameron. He was sharp, welcoming and perfectly attentive throughout the meal. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with him, and his service elevated the entire experience. It goes without saying — we’ll be back.
Excellent restaurant. Something with a modern vibe. Great cocktails. Nice variety of food options. Tends to get busy. Big table in the back is odd. They need to re-do this table to make it more practical.
It’s been a really long time since I’ve gone to a restaurant and felt like I was served! From the moment I sat down, our server Cameron was spectacular. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, spoke well, and overall made us feel great each time he left our table. I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was hands down the best lobster bisque I have ever had! It had two little perfect pieces of toasted parmesan bread for dipping and a little sherry on the side to sauce up your bisque a little more if you want. Such pretty presentation too. I always go to SoNapa for my lobster bisque but now Next Door will be my go-to. The fried green tomatoes were great too but that bisque hit it out of the park. You must go visit this place and keep it on your rotation.
My husband and I had a memorable date night at Next Door. Our waiter, Cameron, was kind and knowledgeable. He helped us pick the best drinks to accompany our appetizers, entrees and dessert. We had the seafood pot pie and the steak and fries. Both were delicious! The ambience is quaint and charming. A real delight for Flagler Beach, and worth a drive if you live further out.
Today was my first time going to Next Door Bistro. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice atmosphere, great food, and an amazing attentive waitress. She knew the whole menu, answered all of our questions before we even asked, and never once had to ask for a drink refill.

Had a wonderful Sunday brunch with my family today at Next Door Beach Bistro! I ordered the 4oz filet mignon and it was cooked exactly how I liked. My family also enjoyed their food. Destiny was an awesome server!
What an incredible meal! Best dinner I have eaten in Palm Coast. What flavors! So delicious and fresh.
We loved Next Door Kitchen! The ambiance is fantastic and the menu is absolutely amazing. Super convenient location too. Shoutout to Gabe the bartender, so friendly and attentive, and his cocktails were incredible. Highly recommend!
Super cute restaurant right on the beach. The staff was awesome and our food was so good; Beth our service was sweet, professional and on top of everything. We got the Cobb salad and green tomato BLT... absolutely delish. Even the bread was fresh, soft and perfect. Would highly recommend.
If you like espresso martinis, this is your place!! although the menu is on the smaller side the choices are excellent and the food is amazing. This is a casual place with a classy spin with a beautiful view of the ocean. If you’re looking to dress up a little and have a light dinner with specialty cocktails, look no further. My family and I frequent this place at least once a month sometimes more lol!
We had made reservations for brunch to celebrate my mother in laws birthday, unfortunately my father in law fell ill and we had to cancel. We were hoping to salvage the day once he was better and showed up a couple hours later for lunch without another reservation. We were sat inside right away and in a large booth with what looked to be “VIP” seating lol, my mother in law loved that. Our waitress Beth was the sweetest, very attentive and always had a smile. The drinks and food were amazing, I had the cucumber margarita and lobster BLT, my husband had the grouper sandwich, both were delicious! Then to top it all off the wait staff all came out to sing Happy Birthday to my mother in law, such a sweet gesture. Tysm to everyone at Nextdoor for helping make her day special! We will be back for sure <3
Excellent gem right across from the ocean. Beatiful view! We had the best omelets and I had a café americano, made to perfection. Our server was excellent! What a surprise as we were driving to West Palm Beach from St. Augustine and just stumbled onto this restaurant. The food has a French influence. I saw so many other things I'd like to try. Treat yourself if you're anywhere near this restaurant.
Another beautiful meal at Next Door Bistro! I visited tonight with my wife and daughter, and as usual, the food was fantastic. What made this visit truly special, however, was our server, Virginia. She was incredibly nice, accommodating, and provided excellent service that elevated our entire experience. She really went above and beyond to make the night feel special for my family. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Absolute gem! So thankful we found this place and took the time to check it out. A little on the pricier side if you want a full course meal BUT the food was amazing. A nice treat for a special occasion. We had the broiled pull apart jumbo shrimp, lobster bisque, the salmon fillet and the spaghetti squash. Everything was outstanding, including all the seasonings, dressings and drizzles. Wish I would’ve taken the time to take a couple pics but honestly I was too busy eating! We will definitely visit again.

While the wait time at this location is forever long my experience was great and the food was good. The atmosphere is welcoming , cozy, and relaxing. I love the openness of the layout and the outdoor seating area is well designed in my opinion for the Flagler beach location. I also like how you can pay for your food at the table and the waiter does the transaction right there in front out you. Furthermore, the food portions are generous and yes, it’s a bit pricy $$$ but for an every once in awhile outing, I think you will enjoy yourself. The only suggestion that I would give is that the business should be more alert to the wait time that people have to wait to get a table and maybe offering water and having some outdoor fans in the entrance area for waiters and your staff can create a more pleasant dining experience.
Love the layout. Very roomy. I love the French items on the menu. I ordered the Duck Confit with fries, interesting combo. The duck was tender and delicious. The fires did not compliment all that well but still had a good time.
Visited tonight at 5-15 our server was very nice and professional. We had taken our English friends to enjoy early dinner and the atmosphere. However, its not that we are greedy, but ordered the "half Chicken" with green beans and a sauce, when the meal arrived it was 2 chicken legs , hardly any meat on it very disappointing, soggy mash, but the stuffing was quite tasty. My husband and I have visited this restaurant before with family and friends but this was very poor , didn't want to complain because our friends were with us. My husband has fresh fettuccine, quite nice , not much seafood provided, our friend had beef and that was ok , bread pudding was excellent. Not too happy about the quality of the chicken , very disappointing!
OK eatery....everybody says it's great. I thought it was ok. We went on last Wednesday for wifeys birthday. Sat at bar...server was so far away as the bar corner is so wide she had to lean way over and speak loudly. Bad bar design. The pasta & shrimp was great tasting and generous portion. The new waitress was kind of a bummer...didn't know anything took a long time for everything and it wasn't busy. It made our time kinda no fun.
We ordered their specials. Lobster Mac n cheese.$38. Nothing else comes with the meal. There was no taste of cheese in the noodles, it was tasteless other than the lobster which was good. The other special was grouper. $39. It was very good came with salad and fries.
We decided to stop by for dinner on our way home from a road trip and glad we did! We had seen the restaurant on one of our many visits to the area and wanted to change it up a bit. It was a busy weekend and there was a wait but it was worth the wait. The restaurant is nicely decorated, modern, open with inside and outside seating with a bar area. It overlooks the ocean and what could be better than dinner with a view? We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and they had a good selection of drinks and wine. Our server was attentive and happy to answer any questions or make suggestions. We ordered the lobster bisque, cesar salad with chicken, steak and fries and the fresh spaghetti squash with salmon (our server told us it was available even if it was not listed on the menu, but it was a bit pricey, but very tasty). We will be back for sure next time we visit the area.

Very nice environment, Delicious food and excellent service. Nice location and good price for the portions. We ordered the tomato soup, clams and Fettuccine with seafood, everything was very good .
One of your best options around in an area that lacks great food. Service was quick. The food was good but didn’t knock our socks off. Order your steak rare if you want anything other than well done in our experience. Great value for what you’re going to get around town.

Had a very poor experience here recently. I’m not one to leave reviews on places like this, but the service was genuinely so upsetting that it felt necessary. We had hostesses fight over who would seat us due to not wanting to serve us. They argued over who would have to seat us and eventually serve us because they did not want to. They asked if we wanted seats by the heater outside and we stated no because I can’t handle heat, and they purposely sat us at the closest seat possible to the heater. Our server took one look at us and immediately assumed we would only be getting tap water off the drinks menu, and did not come to check in on us once for the rest of our limited stay. Each time our server came to attend to tables near us, she would purposely face her back completely to us and would walk inside via a route that ensured we couldn’t make eye contact with her. We ended up leaving before we could even order. We let the hostess know and left. Extremely poor service and disrespectful staff, none of which provided their names to us. Very disappointed in this restaurant. It looked very lovely from the exterior, but I don’t think I’ve ever had service so poor before, especially as a local in this area.
