This place is amazing. The staff is friendly, ambiance is lively, and the food is great. Make sure you get the pull apart bread!!

Tavern was great! The food was delicious, the ambiance was pleasant, the drinks were yummy, and the waiters were super nice. I am in LOVE with their bang bang cauliflower. The waitress was super sweet and brought us a complimentary chocolate lava cake loaded with ice cream for my birthday! I felt very special and celebrated :)

No complaints. Food and drinks were all excellent. Bartender was very friendly. Went there for some afternoon drinks and appetizers with a friend. The watermelon coconut margarita (pictured) is absolutely fire. A bit sweet but very good otherwise. Also got the chicken tenders and tater tots appetizer. They both came out hot. The bang sauce is absolutely awesome. For two appetizers and five drinks total for two people, it was about 45 dollars per person before tip which to me is a bit pricey, but still a great experience nonetheless.

Lowell - Tavern in the Square was great. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was inviting. It is the only one I would go to again.

Really nice place to meet up with friends or have a meal with family. Love that the walls fully open and lots of space with fresh air. Our waitress Miriam was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Food was really good.

If you want to talk about UNDERRATED local restaurants, Tavern In The Square Lowell impressed me. High end and comfort food, definitely proud of this group being based in Boston. My school comes here often for staff gathering. They are always busy but they always have a good amount of space for us. Super close to Lowell Cinema and ample parking. Service isnpretty good and they have the bar accessible (dont drink so dont know how theybfair but the staff love ordering various if their drinks and really enjoy it and jjst love to diffuse there. Had their chicken pot pie and tator tot special, really loved both items and really filling. Worth a night visit, good place to socialize with friends.

Great spot to eat and relax; the restrooms are clean & multi stalls available. The food was delish and I’m picky about my salmon and eating out in general! My husband is still raving about the spicy Bayou chicken pasta dish! I had the Sesame salmon bowl with mango Salsa so just a touch of sweet! Yum!

Tavern has many locations, but Lowell happens to be our favorite. It's not as busy as the others, plus there is so much room to chill an find a great table. The staff there is just as friendly as any other location. The bar is huge and has a cool vibe with plenty of local and domestic beers on tap. Food is amazing as always

We visited the Lowell location of Tavern in the Square on a Sunday evening, we did not have a reservation, and were seated very quickly. Service and food was great! It was our first time bringing kids and they do have a kids menu with their favorite dishes. I’ll suggest the quinoa salad for the vegan/vegetarian folks, it’s amazing! You can also add sirloin, salmon or chicken to it if you’d prefer. Nachos is always a favorite of our family and the kids love it! The flourless cake is to die for and the toffee waffle is HUGE and delicious!

Great place to take the family for dinner, have dinner/drinks with coworkers, or take customer to a business lunch. I have eaten here many times and had a great experience each time. Make sure to go on a Sunday to get the brunch!

Great lunch. Wait staff was very efficient and friendly. Nice choice of drinks. Good food selection. The Sweet and Spicy Thai Chicken was excellent. Veggies were diced small. I dislike chunky salad. Reasonably priced.

Stopped in here before heading to the movies. Fun place, doesn't necessarily feel like other locations, but regardless is very welcoming. The space is very large with plenty of tables. No wait at lunch time on a Sunday for a group of 6. Pizza, fish and chips, and one of the salads all tasted great, fresh, and perfect temperature. Staff was friendly, would definitely come back. I like it more than some of the other restaurants around the theater.

1 word - Excellent Food was great, option was WOW, and so many fantastic GF choices! I ate too much since i wanted to tried everything ! This is good! Must try Ambiance was very nice and resto look soo good!

This is a good location, I really like how large it is and the patio is so nice in the summer/fall. Sometimes can take a bit to be seated and actually get your food as they are often busy. Food is almost always good and drinks are great

I can truthfully say that this Lowell location does a lot of things well and has some impressive staff working for them (shout-out to Victor at the bar), which make a few things special. And for these reasons, I've become a regular for Brunch as their various breakfast options do not disappoint.

I usually am not a huge fan...its so loud. OMG, we had the best server, Stephanie. The food was amazing and it was about 4 ish before the big crowd showed up. I am 65% deaf, so the many, many, many, way too many TVs can be rough. Not this day. Everything and everyone was fantastic

we're frequent visitors of tavern (RIP porter square) & the lowell location has been our spot since we moved to the area. we had the absolute pleasure of being seated in theo's section tonight. he was kind, engaging & super attentive. 10/10, no notes. we'll be back soon!

A very classy establishment; my friend and I were in vestibule waiting when a biker gang arrive to have a catered meal. They asked my friend and I if we were secret service agents due to our black suits - I explained that it we were actually here for funeral. They laughed at us and we laughed with them.

Always such a great time here! The food and atmosphere is impeccable. We had the most amazing server Rhonda the other day and she was so sweet, kind and attentive towards me and my friend. I couldn't be more pleased with her service and this location! Would highly recommend.

My 71 year old dad is handicapped and Alex was our kind, excellent, funny, polite, hardworking very attentive, etc server! We had an issue and our server notified the manager on duty and he came right over to our table and fixed the issue right away! Both Tim and Alex took very very good care of us! The food was excellent the service was outstanding! I could go on and on and on it was the best food and service we have ever had in our entire lives of going out to eat at restaurants the best experience Tavern in the Square is the best!! I definitely recommend everyone going there if you want excellent food and excellent service and an excellent atmosphere with lots of TVs to watch all the sports you like also at the bar and around the restaurant! Thank you again Tim is the best manager we've ever met and Alex was the best server we've have ever met! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you from the bottom of our heart's! Our parents and my brother and I absolutely enjoyed everything from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert! I am especially grateful that my dad and mom enjoyed it because they never get out of the house who is the best family dinner we've had in a very long time! Taylor C from Ohio was an absolute rock star at Tavern in the Square. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and on top of everything from start to finish. I was honestly hoping a manager would stop by so I could share how great the experience was in real time. The drinks were strong (just how they should be), the appetizers were excellent, and the service was truly top-notch. Taylor made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place—great food, great drinks, and outstanding service.

We had a surprisingly good brunch here. Service was great. I chose the avocado toast, and I ate every bite. I ordered a bloody maria - a bloody made with tequila, and I asked for extra horseradish, and it was perfect. I would go again, in fact looking forward to it.

Stopped in on 10/30 and had an awesome experience! Marcio (?) And the team were super attentive and friendly, they really made the late night visit enjoyable. Service was quick and smooth, and even the food runners went out of their way to be helpfuk , missed his name,looks like toad from maeio kart Great energy all around and solid food to match!

Nice atmosphere for local night out for drinks and food. Got the Margaritas tower and that wasn't bad. Would recommend.

The Mac & cheese side was rich and creamy with a lot of extra melted cheese on top. The tater tots were very crunchy, they were delicious. The lemonade was a little too sour for my liking but it was still pretty good, it came in a good amount. The quinoa bowl was exquisite, it was also very fresh there were a lot of fresh vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, broccoli, golden beets, Beets and kale. The water had no ice cubes which was a let down but it’s okay because the other drinks were good. The short rib and grilled cheese, with caramelized onions, this dish was extraordinary it was warm and toasty. The club soda was bubbly and fizzy. This experience was very special for my family.

Really cool spot. The food was good. I had the steak and avocado. It was delicious. The apps were good. Service was excellent. If you are looking for a cool hang out, good food, and a good vibe, this is the right spot. It's one of the few chain restaurants that I would consider frequenting often, knowing that the quality of food and service is consistently good.

At Cross Point with amp parking spaces. Next to the movie theater as well. Great atmosphere and has out door seating with lights during this season. Very clean and great service. There was plentiful options from fish burgers steaks and salads. Steak tips were amazing. Very flavorful and my top pick. We had wings, tots and fish as well. All was good and perfectly seasoned. You would rarely see kids here but I brought mine and we didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.

This is a great place to have food and cocktails. The location is interesting as it is nestled into a large industrial complex. The pool amd drinks here are all amazing. My waitress was super nice, amd the service was amazing. Dinner came out in about 10 minutes which is impressive giving how busy they were at the time.

I visited Tavern in the Square in Lowell recently, and overall the service was good. My friends received their orders correctly and were satisfied. However, my experience wasn’t as positive. I ordered chicken wings and specifically asked for them to be all flats. Right before bringing the food, the server informed me that they couldn’t do all flats, which was disappointing since it would have been helpful to know that from the beginning. Because of this, my experience wasn’t as good as I expected. I hope this can be improved for future customers.

I’ve resisted going to this place assuming it was a big national chain, but it’s not (although I think they might be owned by a big corporation now). I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was - the Bang Bang broccoli was delicious and the bbq chicken pizza was terrific but the salad was mediocre at best. Our service was excellent and the atmosphere was really nice.

This location is consistently good. I eat here often because the quality and price are excellent. I don't like the bar setup with the but that's a personal preference.

Food was good. Husband was okay with the fish tacos. Mango salsa made them sweet. Bean salsa on the side was needed for some heat. Mac & Cheese was very good but if adding chicken, it isn’t worth the extra $. Only a few small pieces of chicken for an additional $8. Could have just gotten tenders. Bartender was nice. Best part was the bump out seat at the bar. Place overall is okay, not bad but nothing special.

We went there to have a mother's day brunch a day before mother's day. So my first impression was that everyone was great. I wouldn't say exceptional but great. I had to flag down our waitress a couple of times for a refill but the food was pretty good so I would probably be going to again and was ready to give a 4 star review. Then I tried the crab cake Benedict which 2 people from our party had ordered so it wasn't just a fluke of a bad dish. Well the crab cake tasted fishy like it was not fresh and not great quality. Well that made me lower my review to 3 stars. A good place to go, just don't order the crab cake Benedict.

This location is sub par - The food is truly hit or miss and when its a miss its BAD. Visited last night and got undercooked steak tips and rock hard mashed potato's. Other times i visit and the food is incredible. Service is typically ok but a little rude and rushes you through your meal. would recommend the Burlington location over this one.

We stopped in at Tavern in the Square Lowell with our three kids, including an infant. The dining room was 82 degrees, and everyone was sweating — even the staff were fanning themselves and clearly uncomfortable. When I mentioned it to GM Tim Eyring, he confirmed it was his decision to keep it that way and never apologized, just said the doors were open.

We had a staff gathering at the Lowell MA location. The restaurant was infested with mice. The mice were everywhere. Another patron spoke to the staff about it at the bar and they were told, “it’s because the building is old.” I don’t know who was more comfortable with the situation: the mice or the staff.

I was really disappointed with my experience at The Tavern in Lowell. While having lunch with a friend, we spotted a mouse in the dining area. I immediately informed our waiter, but she didn’t seem concerned and simply asked if we needed anything else. What bothered me most was that she did not alert a manager or take the situation seriously at all. Seeing a rodent during a meal is alarming, and the lack of urgency or follow-up made it worse. I understand that issues can happen, but how they’re handled matters just as much. Unfortunately, the response made us uncomfortable and completely overshadowed our lunch.
