Let me say, I ALWAYS judge a place by customer service first and their restrooms. This place is top notch! The restrooms are SPOTLESS, the prices, the employees, the food, it’s all by far the BEST BBQ place anywhere in and around LUBBOCK. I tried the turkey breast and pork belly and oh my soul! Absolutely DELICIOUS! We went to Bone Daddy’s last week and were beyond disappointed in the taste, price, and especially the lack of customer service. Tonight we got more food, less than half of what we paid at the other bbq place AND received the BEST customer service! Today it’s hard to find polite employees who actually take pride in their job. Well, tonight that was not the case! We were extremely impressed with being greeted, got questions answered, food brought to us and they all had great attitudes! This falls back on young adults with pride and great management! We can’t wait to come back!!!!! I have very high anxiety from trying new places and being around people. Not once tonight did I have a panic attack or anything.

Eric was a great host. We had never been here. He let us try the spicy sausage which we chose along with brisket, potato salad, and okra. It was all phenomenal. Also, we loved the live music of Music by Shae. She had a great voice and was also very personable. All around, great experience.

First time here, the girl taking our order was helpful, patient, and took our order accurately. Food is amazing! The restaurant was clean and spacious, not overcrowded. As we were eating, the GM came by to make sure we were satisfied and everything was good. We appreciated seeing him actually working and making g sure everything was good with all the customers. I had a two meat plate with brisket and ribs. Both were great great quality with lots of meat. Their sauces were really good. I had the corn on the cob for a side and it was sweet and perfectly cooked. I also liked that soda came with the plate. They obviously replace their water filters and keep up on the maintenance.

I just finished eating BBQ from Bighams Smokehouse. Wow. The food was excellent. I wanted the chicken but they were sold out so I got the spare ribs. That's probably the best ribs I ever had. The meat came right off the bone. I highly recommend this BBQ spot.

Two pounds of luscious pork belly. This place knows how to do it. Friend had Turkey and said it was good. Sides were good also. Corn bread a pinch dry but the entire meal was an A+++++ ❤️ this place.

If you like BBQ definitely try this place it has some great different kinds of meats and sides as well as good desserts!

I’m so glad this location opened up! I got the taco plate with one of each kind (just to try something new) and even though they were good, I’ll probably go back to a pulled pork sandwich next time. The rosemary fries are amazing!

Great food! Their daily specials make for a great deal. Only $2 breakfast tacos on Tuesdays! We paid less than we do for fast food nowadays. The service was fast and super friendly. They checked on us to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend Bighams!

The host was great at explaining all the options and helping us find what we would like. We got the 4 meat plate to share with brisket, turkey, and ribs. We also go chile creamed corn, Mac and cheese, cornbread, potato salad. The ribs were super super soft. Creamed corn was delicious. Cornbread was delicious. Meat was good. Not huge portions but we also shared so maybe that's why

I grabbed breakfast from the drive-thru here around 8:00 on 2/1. I ordered the brisket egg & cheese taco, the spicy sausage egg & cheese taco, the pork belly egg & cheese taco, and a drink. I pulled up to the window to pay, and within minutes I was driving away with a delightful smelling bag of yumminess. The tacos were still nice and warm when I got home a few minutes later. The tortillas were absolutely fantastic. The meat in each taco was seasoned wonderfully and cooked beautifully. The eggs were also scrambled perfectly. Not overcooked or still runny. And the cheese really brought the whole thing together. The salsa was fresh, but did not have much of a kick. The bbq sauce had more of a kick, and a tang, and some sweetness too. It was a great well rounded sauce! These tacos were way better than I expected, and I got a nice reusable cup to boot! Great breakfast for a great price, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and had a good time.

Bigham’s is a great place to eat but it has gotten so expensive it's almost impossible to go very often!

Quick stop for some BBQ. Traditional one and two meat plates with sides like potato and macaroni salad, fries,slaw etc. other fun options like tacos, loaded potato salad, Mac and cheese bowls offer a variety. Beer and drink specials available during the week and music on Friday and Saturdays is advertised. Very clean restaurant with friendly service.

Over all not a bad place. Definitely a fast food BBQ joint. I ordered the three meat plate. Got the turkey, pulled Brisket and pork belly. Over all the meats not bad, it’s juicy portions on the smaller side but that can be expected. My sides were the Mac and Cheese which reminds me of story bought pre made. They type you just through in the microwave. And I got the cream corn with green chilis, it had ok flavor very heavy on the green chili flavor and had more of a consistency of a soup or chowder, but still not bad. The sweet tea I had to drink is ok definitely nothing special. The environment was clean and friendly, staff were polite. Over all I will eat here again. Just maybe try something else to feel I get more bang for my buck.

Went around 3:30 pm on a Sunday (12-22-24). The staff was very friendly and I ordered a large frito pie to go with the fritos on the side. They package everything seperate which was fine but the beans were under cooked. Usually the frito pie are very good but on this occasion the beans were just a little undercooked. Seems like the beans needed to be cooked 30 minutes longer. They also forgot to include the cheese to go on top of the frito pie. I also requested pickles and onions which were not in our order.

So, I ordered 3 meals and when I asked for pickles etc I only got 1 small container. I should at least get 1 per meal. The container only had 3 little pickle slices in it. I don't know if the beans were burnt or undercooked but they were crunchy, hard, and unpleasant to bite into. Couldn't even eat them. The BBQ sauce was way too sweet for my preference, a spicy option would be nice. The bread was soggy from the amount of butter I presume that was on it. I couldn't even pick it up. It was like someone soaked up water with it. My breaking point was when my sweet tea tasted like it was about a week old and was sitting in a metal tin. It was sour and I was sick to my stomach and asked to get a different drink. It's not like any of these things are life-threatening but it was off-putting, to say the least. Small things make a difference. No hate please go and support them and gather your own opinions.

See below for an update: Normally this place is fine for some average BBQ, but not today. The portion of pork belly was tiny, with a large portion fat. The chopped brisket was a little cold but otherwise ok. The okra half-filled the container which is normally full, and about half where undercooked end pieces. A soggy buttered toast rounded out the poor presentation. I think with a little effort, this would have been a fine meal. But instead I feel like I wasted $20. Edit: I returned at the end of August 2025. The prices are higher, quality might be a little better. Portions are small.

I ordered a two-meat plate for lunch, but when I got home it looked more like a one-meat plate. The brisket only covered a small portion of the tray, while in the pictures it shows brisket covering both sides when you order two meats or at least two complete rows of meat. I called the restaurant and was told to come back so they could give me the rest, but when I arrived the girl serving the plates tried to convince me that I in fact got the two-meat (though it clearly only looks like a one-meat), insisting I had received the full two-meat portion. I explained that it looked nothing like the photos advertised, but she continued to say it was correct. I wanted to share this so management is aware — the serving I received did not match what is shown in the pictures or what I expected when paying for a two-meat plate. Yes I did show the pictures in person to compare but was still told it was a two-meat. Also I paid for lean brisket but when I got “the extra” I did not receive the lean brisket I believe I paid for.

Grabbed dinner for the family on my way out of town. Got home (an hour and 1/2 later) to find that I paid for 3/4 lb of brisket but really only got 6.5 oz. And don’t even get me started on the “16 oz” of pickles or “8 oz” of cherry peppers and jalapeños. Seriously, in what land do you pay for 16oz of pickles and get 2.2oz??? Paid for my order at 7:35, was handed everything bagged up. Got home at 9:05 to find we’d been cheated and tried calling but no one will answer because it’s after 9:00pm. I know I should have checked everything before I left but kids were in the car and I was just trying to get us home so we could get ready for school in the morning. But bottom line is I shouldn’t have to double check the order. There were 3 tables of folks in the restaurant and no one in line; the workers weren’t too busy to do their job correctly. I spent $114.93 and will never do it again! And yes, I was mad enough to get my scale out and weigh things.

Picked up dinner late last night with mum, nothing too special. I prefer the 82nd street location. My sister got a stuffed baked potato, dad got a small frito pie and mum got a sliced briskit sandwich. It was late so to avoid disappointment I didn't get anything.

We ordered the Friday special which was a brisket sandwich and chopped beef sandwich. Our food was brought to us like in 3 min our meat was cold in the sandwiches. The condiment area was almost empty, there was no onions. The girl working the counter did not offer to bring any fresh onions or offer boats to put the condiments in. Potatoe salad was the only good thing . Customer service needs improving. I’ve always loved Bighams it’s not the same anymore.

Today I got hog heaven fries and I'm so disappointed over priced overrated and a waist of money and time. My order was cold and the portion was poor after a hard day of work wanting to pick up something quick and go home it was a poor decision on my behalf. You want it right sometimes we gotta do it ourselves. Do the employees even have food handler permit some standards need to be made. JUST A DISAPPOINTMENT.

What have y'all done to the beans?? No need to change things like that when they have been a staple for years in Lubbock.

Normally good food, but I've noticed when I dine in the service is poor and the food quality goes down. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, hard to mess up but they loaded it with mostly fat, not like fatty meat but chunks of fat. I think I'm done with this place.

All i wanted was to sit down after along day at work and have a beer and BBQ. I'm not fron here but from San Antonio...Rolled in a few mins before 8 and the guy at the register told me it would have to be to go cause the dinning room is about to close. I said that's fine since I didn't have a choice so I ordered a 2 meat plate . Got my order and left.... door says dinning closes at 9pm.... why not let me sit there and eat... its not gonna take a hour to eat this little amount of meat. There was more mac and cheese on my plate the meat. Mac was good, sausage was cold and I guess they gave me the child's plate serving of brisket.... it was the size me the end of my fork. Drove back to my hotel and was done eating by 830. This is not Texas BBQ.

They shorted my food. A lot. I paid 36 dollars for a half of pice of sausage and some soggy baked beans. That’s not what I ordered tho. I have the receipt for a 2 meat plate. And a quarter pound of brisket. Chicken and brisket. (“ they were out of chicken “) annnnd the sides were SUPPOSED TO BE potato salad and cole slaw. I live 20 miles away and made it home with baked beans and sausage. I should have checked the bag… 😭 Update: I called- they gave me 7 dollars for the brisket I didn’t get. It was inedible. So greasy and dripping in fat. It was bad. I won’t be back.

My wife and I decided to sit down and have supper. Usually we just stop in and grab a sandwich through drive-through but we had more time this time. When we ordered everything seem to be good but when they brought the food it was just disappointing. The portions have gotten very small On the two meat deal. My serving of brisket literally look like a sample at Sam’s Club. My wife had the same but hers was a little more. I asked The server if there is a reason the brisket is serve cold But he said there shouldn’t be, and he took it back. When he came back with it, it was the exact same brisket, but just microwaved. Needless to say, I wasn’t very impressed with that. I thought they’d replace it altogether not just warm it up in a microwave. My wife serving was dry. She couldn’t finish it so I had to put a ton of barbecue sauce on it too moistened it up. I usually don’t have a problem with their sandwiches. But with what we pay and what we got. I just was left disappointed. It really felt like a leftover barbecue from the night before. Just heated up in a microwave dinner.

I ordered 2 sliced brisket sandwiches from the Milwaukee street location and paid a $6.00 upcharge for the beef brisket. When I got home with the sandwiches I found that they were nothing but fat. Hardly any discernible meat at all. I tried calling them but the automated answering system disconnects you if you choose any of their menu options. I'm a disabled senior and I am not driving back up there. Sandwiches in the trash along with the money I spent. EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY FOOD & SERVICE (by phone)! Never ever going back. TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY!

I moved away from Lubbock about 12 years ago and this place was great then. I was so excited to visit again while I was in town. I was completely disappointed. They were out of ribs and peach cobbler. The pork, brisket, and mac and cheese were dried out. The restaurant was completely empty so not sure why they were out of everything by 1pm. It was so bad that nobody at the table finished there food. Not sure what happened to Brigham's or if it's just this location.

Stuffed baker was good but cold. The roasted corn wasn’t no where near roasted. It was like peeling a fresh corn and trying to eat it.

They changed their prices...Less food that cost more money. Smaller sides that cost more. Will not be going back up here....And they give less meat now too......Stay away from here because they do not value their customers....

Has been my favorite for years, but the only consistent aspect, is that they continually get worse. Cheddars has better ribs and that is extremely sad. Won't be back. HEB has better barbecue and actually has customers dining there.

I went to Bighams this evening, to say the least I wasn't impressed....they're plates are over priced and the quality of the food was not as good as people hype it up to be. My check was $51 for myself, my better half and a child. Still trying to understand why I have a charge on my account for $61 when I didn't opt in for a tip.....any who I do not believe I will be returning to this location or any of their other locations....the portions were pitiful....I've had better barbecue for less....the only thing they have going for them is the cleanliness of there establishment.... outside of that nothing was good NOT EVEN THE SWEET TEA!!!! VERY dissatisfying Don't waste your time

I ordered a one meat plate LITERALLY! there was about 3 tablespoons of meat for 14$$!!! ⚠️ AND ( this was my first time eating here.) I got green beans 🫘 that were refrigerator cold 🥶 i called back just to make sure they weren't supposed to be that way. They gave me a warm one. Probably won't be back when Rudy's is just downthe street. Mm mm

Brisket was tough, and it had an aftertaste like gasoline or burnt rubber? Pulled Pork was decent, couldn’t really taste anything salty or sweet. Okra wasn’t seasoned which is fine. The green beans were soo buttery, and I can tell it’s like phase “butter” or something unreal, inedible. (A little salt and pepper goes a long way) The BBQ sauce is really good I just sipped on that with the Pork… ugh that was a lot of money for a plate full of Odd Flavors.

Probably the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Super dry and not flavorful. Sides were okay at best too. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly.

This place is not good. Terrible customer service. They don't make homemade ranch like other places. Their bbq sauce tastes like everything but bbq sauce. Their food is not even hot. First and last time.

Going to Bighams? You can pretty much guarantee yourself a terrible experience. You pay $20 for a meal, it’ll ether be old, hard, unappetizing or they’ll just straight up forget it. Check out the picture below, looks like my leftovers right? After I finished eating? Well, you’d be wrong. This is my $20 meal! Hmmmm, looks delicious right? Very disappointed. Bigham's has always been a family favorite. I ordered a small sliced lean sandwich and received anything but lean. I will not be returning. Since new ownership things have changed and not for the good.

This new menu change is horrible. Ordered a two meat plate and got 2 ribs, and 2 sliced briskets, plus 3 small sides. The prices have went up, less quantity, several sides were out of stock, and now they want to charge extra for drinks too. Please change your menu back to the way it was.

Picked up order, asked them to trim brisket for elderly parent. Omg the beans loaded with onions? NICK what has happened? Potato salad is disgusting loaded with peppers. We've been a family who only eats Brigham's BBQ since 1980s. Not only did we not get BBQ sauce with our $150 order pluses huge tip. Poor service 😢 and the food has changed so much 😢

Food was pretty good, but we got here about 15 mins before 8pm and we were reminded constantly that they were closing, no longer serving food after 8pm so we were rushed while looking at the menu. Once seated and served we got a table visit and were reminded they would be locking the doors, locking the restrooms and fountains. Insane they still accepted my $75 only to rush me my entire visit! Super disappointing.

So I actually love the food. Or at least the times I've been previously. It seems like if you go in the evening it's different. Went about 730 ish waited for our food for about almost 20 minutes. Almost drove off but I always check my food. I ordered the bigger plate meaning 3 meat combo. They had only given me my 2 meats. For 31 dollars I sure did go back to get my 3rd meat. Then get home and ribs and brisket were hard. Definitely a little disappointed this time around.

Totally hanger their menu took away one of the best values the sandwich 1 meat. Side and drink plate for 1025. Now they wanna charge you $14 for a sandwich just smaller and three sides. Just lost the customer I can go to Rudy’s and get a double meat sandwich, for the same price as your smaller sandwich than theirs. Will not be returning.

I ordered a moist brisket sandwich and it was definitely not moist it was so hard it’s falling apart was falling apart! I will definitely not be coming to this location again I’ll just stick to the one on 19th street. When I took the sandwich back I told the cashier I asked for a moist sliced brisket sandwich and she just looked at it and said oh yeah we have a new cook making the briskets and that was it so I just asked for a refund because I would have just gotten the same sandwich if I would have gotten another one…. This location is horrible… I’ll insert pictures of my “moist” sliced brisket sandwich. You be the judge is it moist orrr maybe not. So expensive for nothing.

I love a good brisket and absolutely do not mind paying for it. But 70.00 for 1 one meat plate (13) and 2 large sandwiches (11) 1 small sandwich (8) and 1 large drink (4) is crazy. Looking at the receipt, everything shows to have a 3.00 fee for brisket on top of the original charge for the plates/sandwich that state any meat of your choice. I didn't see anything stating that there's an extra fee for brisket at a damn brisket place. Oh and when you look at the receipt further, it shows a base sandwich price of 7.25, plus a 3.00 fee for brisket, plus a 7.00 charge for a large sandwich. So that makes 17.25 for a large sandwich-no meal, instead of the 11 it was advertised on the menu board, 16.49 for the one meat plate. How does a large sandwich by itself come out to more than a plate with a side and a drink. Make that make sense. To top it off, I finally get home 30 minutes later and the brisket tastes like trash. My husband didn't even like it. That was the most expensive meal my dogs have ever had! I was pissed. I will absolutely NEVER eat here ever again!
