Great food. Chopped brisket was so tender and delicious. Killer sides. I had mac and cheese and green beans. Was looking for a place that is not the usual and this place sure delivered! We had a party of 20 and the servers were awesome, didn't miss a single beat!

We went around 5 they weren't too busy. I got the 2 choice with brisket and ribs sides were okra and the Roadhouse potatoes. All of it was amazing especially the okra the meat was tender good flavor I didn't find anything wrong there.

My son and I walked in around 7 to place a to go order. The hostess said to order from the bar. The bar was extremely busy and had no places to sit. Jolie saw us and offered to take our to go order for us. She got us our drinks and made sure our order was right. She didn't have to do what she did, but it's awesome to see how some still go out of the way to make sure guests are taken care of. Very impressed. Oh and food was awesome also. Thank you.

The atmosphere here is amazing with enough TVs everywhere so you didn't strain to watch. Me and my family found this place on accident and they just happened to be playing the Tech game on every TV which was awesome! I had the best experience at the bar area, my bartender Clarissa was very attentive and so sweet, very demure and mindful. She made me feel so welcomed and made me the best cocktails. Definitely ask for her if she’s working !!

This place smells good before you even make it in the door. Then you get inside and the staff greet you and get you seated with smiles and friendly suggestions. The food is so good it makes you want to come back again and again. The food is very rich and filling so you will more than likely have to get a to go box but that isn't a bad thing. Stopped in tonight. On our way back home from out of town, Skyler was our server and she was fantastic. Super sweet and very knowledgeable, even let us know that we picked new items on the menu and asked us our thoughts about them. The Burns ends tostadas are great. I do think that the tomato chunks need to be about half the size that they were just for ease of eating for smaller mouths. The hot honey wings were perfect and the not as new but not quite a year old bourbon peach cobbler was ridiculously good. Thank you Skyler for taking care of us!

I ordered the Mike’s Hot Chicken sandwich. It was delightful with the perfect amount of spice. I’d like to thank the creator of this item, as it will now be my go-to dinner. Meghan is the bartender. She was very kind. The manager Megan stopped by to make sure my meal was top notch. This sandwich and service is better than Chick-fil-A, and that’s saying something. Well done.

Updating this review because I was on that end of town and gave it another try. Totally different experience from last time. The service was fantastic, the food was perfect, and it was fun. Sure, there was a blackout and the entire place lost power for a while, but on the up side, everyone just started talking to each other and laughing and joking and having a wonderful time instead of listening to loud music. A 5 minute power outage turned the entire place into something with the feel of a community block party bbq instantly. Total strangers just turning around and chatting with everyone around them, saying hello when folks came in, goodbye when they left. Awesome. The place is great, the patrons are even better.

Chicken fried chicken was very good, tender, with plenty of mashed potatoes and green beans. White Peach sangria was delicious and sticky. Staff very nice and accomodating.

I've eaten here a few times and it's been very delicious. The staff is friendly, and they do tell you ahead of time too before ordering if they don't have certain item(s) ready. Oh, and they do military discount with valid ID!

Lubbock Bone Daddy’s has been the greatest dinning experience I have had in Lubbock. My food was fabulous, get the nachos with burnt ends you won’t regret it. But the best part of my experience was the service. Mary was my server and she was phenomenal. She went above and beyond during a busy dinner run! She made sure I had everything I needed, my drink was always full she was attentive and she even took time to exchange a bit of conversation and I know she was doing that for every table she had. 10 out of 10 eat at Bone Daddy’s and ask for Mary.

One of my favorite BBQ places. The smoked turkey is the best ever! Excellent service! Never had to ask for a refill on tea, and they gave us teas to go. Atmosphere is very relaxed and casual, very pleasant.

I have been here 3 times so far, and everything has been great! My husband and I really enjoy the burnt tips. We have had them as the entrée, and in the Smokehouse salad. Both were very yummy! Their wings are pretty great too!

I don’t see how anyone could rate Bone Daddy’s anything less than 5 stars. Great atmosphere, great food, and fantastic service. Best place in town to catch a Tech, Cowboys, or Chiefs game. Meghan is the best bartender in town and Brian is the hardest dishwasher/busser in Lubbock.

I went to this place for the first time yesterday and was truly impressed. I did not expect the type of food quality that they have. I was expecting some cheap, quick, fast food type of meal, but boy was I wrong. The BBQ is VERY authentic. The ribs were delicious, the sides are amazing (the okra is the best I've ever had), and I found my new Fave...Burnt Ends! 🤤

Kirsten at the bar was a great host. Seems she was the only one who really cared. Rest of the staff working seemed to lack personality and work ethic. Food was great as well.

If your craving bbq. I think this is the #1 spot to chill and watch tv with friends and family, the environment is clean. Our ribs and chips+ queso is phenomenal. The waitress was extremely sweet and patient. I'd definitely come back here again!

Great BBQ joint. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decorations were great. It has a good outdoor seating area. Music was loud enough to hear, but not so loud you couldn't talk. The food was great. The queso was delicious. I loved the seasoning on the tortilla chips. The Brisket sandwich is a generous size. The house made croutons on the side salad were excellent. The 3 meat plate had good portions. The chicken and burnt ends were moist and tender. The briskted had a good crust and smoke ring. For whatever reason the sliced brisket on the sandwich was juicy, but not the sliced for the plate. I little disappointed, but the flavor was good. The peach cobbler was outstanding. I definitely recommend it. For 2 people; appetizer, meals, dessert, and drinks, it was $85. We definitely each have at least 1 more meal that we took back to the hotel with us. So great value and great food. All told a good place to hit in Lubbock.

Great service and a very clean restaurant! Our hostess and waitress were spot on with their service. The chicken, brisket, and sausage were wonderful, however the sticky ribs were cold when served and very disappointing. Considering they were cold and tough, one had to wonder whether they were actually smoked or simply boiled? They were indeed sticky but lacked all the other qualities of a good smoked rib. All the sides were good except the mashed potatoes...they were kind of plain. When we notified the waitress of the disappointing ribs, she asked if we wanted a replacement and we declined. We simply wanted the cooks to know. She did however offer a free appetizer on our next visit.

Appetizer: we had smokin tailpipes and I had the pepper turkey and bone in chicken,with loaded mash and green beans. The best thing on the plate was the bone in chicken and loaded mash. Tailpipes were ok. I wasn't blown away but it was good.

Loved the pulled pork. It was so tender and delicious. Didn't care for the potato salad but that is subjective. Service was good, not above and beyond however the waitress was pulling double duty. Overall we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

The scent you smell coming in through the door and the whole rustic atmosphere of the place was really top notch! But I found the food was pretty average. I had "The Flying Pig" and it didn't wow me like I thought it would. It was still good regardless but it wasn't anything to write home about. I'd still recommend this place though.

Food was not as good as usual... Brisket and chopped beef were not hot, the BBQ sauce is usually heated but it was cold today. Usually get a jalapeno pepper with the meal but not today. Beans, cole slaw, and potato salad were good. Has been our "go to for great BBQ" but not today. Sam, our server, was great! We arrived at 11:30 am and the restaurant seemed to not be ready for customers yet... Will be awhile before we return.

The burnt ends were inconsistent in quality, 80% delicious and 20% tough and chewy. I’m used to burnt ends being tender and Smokey but these were a bit of a disappointment. The roadhouse potatoes, however, were out of this world delicious. Not sure what the secret is but it shows they can deliver the flavor when they try. I will have to revisit at some point to see if it was a one off with the burnt ends, order something else tho. Great people manning the front house and bar, great way to watch the election unfold!

Fantastic barbecue joint conveniently located by Costco, Cabela’s, and many other great shopping locals. Service was prompt and friendly. Our timing must have been off because we were never offered any fresh bread. Our meals came out really fast and everything was a good temperature. Fantastic food. The fries were excellent. The sandwich I got had brisket, bacon and queso on it. It was amazing. Messy, but expected. Great atmosphere with a modern hip vibe. We will definitely be back. Hope to get some of that fresh bread too.

Everybody in this joint is super friendly, makes you feel welcome, and has great customer service skills. The girls at the front desk were amazing and we requested a booth and they went and cleaned one for us so we could sit down without having to wait. Our waitress was at our table quick, I think her name was Lexi! We ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and they were perfect. My boyfriend got a big beer and big it certainly was! Mugs were clean and the beer was tasty! She put my kids tea in a styrofoam cup so it didn’t get spilled which we appreciated. We had never been here before so she recommended what to order for me and I went with the sticky ribs. They were good but I prefer fall off the bone ribs myself. She delivered the ribs with hot wet towels for my hands. My boyfriend got a pulled pork sandwich which he said was amazing! And my son ordered corny dogs and she made him laugh and joked with him and it made his day. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would return ourselves! Update: we came back and we are just as impressed! The catfish basket is to die for! The best fried catfish I’ve ever had. Huge plate with about 3 fillets! My boyfriend had the 3 meat combo and the burnt ends were so good!!! The tail pipes appetizer was a big hit for me!!

Food was good. Got shoved into a corner booth where the waitstaff forgot about us and the atmosphere was poor (the restaurant had maybe 10-12 tables in use) . Drinks didn't come for almost 15 minutes. Server was a bit dismissive and CX check-ins were sparse.

I really don’t know what to say. The service and the servers were 5 star but the food was something you would see on a bad episode of Hell’s Kitchen. No flavor, no seasoning and the ribeye steak came out a little over cooked and smothered in BBQ sauce. Who does that? Wife ordered chicken fried chicken but actually got a chicken fried steak that she said was actually good. Just no seasoning. Didn’t even eat the sides that came with the ribeye platter because they tasted like nothing. I think some kitchen training is in order and I wouldn’t mind helping out. When you spend 109 dollars for 2 people it should be good food.

Mac & cheese was like water, mashed potatoes seems like they had been pre-made up in a cup and just warmed up when ordered. My daughter kids slider burger had more flavor and tenderness than anything I had. Her french fries were even better. Not worth $30 for mine and her meal. No reason to go back.

My husband and I went for dinner. There was a sign on the door stating that they were out of burnt ends, ribs, and brisket. We thought "No big deal, there are other meats to try." We were seated immediately by a friendly host who told us our waitress would be by soon for our drink order. We sat there for 15 minutes before someone walked by and said that our waitress would be by soon and then offered to get our drink order. Our waitress finally appeared with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We were, she took it and disappeared. Our food came out and it looked delicious. Only problem was we had no silverware to eat it with. The runner didn't notice and we sat there for another five minutes waiting for someone to come by so we could ask for some. No one came by. Luckily, a nearby table that was vacant had clean silverware on it so my husband got up and grabbed some so we could eat before our food got cold. Food was great, no complaints there. The waitress finally came back after another 10 minutes to ask how everything was and to get a refill on drinks. So had my husband not taken silverware from another table, it would have been 15 minutes that we sat there with no silverware. When she returned she asked if we needed a to go box and by that time I was so frustrated with the lack of service, I said yes and then placed my card on the table to pay after she disappeared again. She came back, dropped the box and bill on the table and took my card to cash out. Not more than a minute later, she was back with the receipt. I was very tempted to not leave a tip but I did because my daughter has waited tables and I know that tips could mean the difference between having gas in your car and not. I will say that there was no apparent reason for the disappearing act of our waitress. It was a Wednesday night, the place was half full max. Next time I want barbecue, I'll have to think long and hard about returning.

Honestly really disappointed with this place. I have been wanting to eat here for a long time and finally came in today for an early dinner. The waitress was very friendly and she did a very good job. The beer was served in a frosted mug and was chilled. The food took a good 30+ minutes to get brought to the table, which was odd considering the restaurant was not busy. Unfortunately, the food was not that great. Everything was warm to room temperature (not hot) and tasted reheated. The burnt ends were the best part, but some pieces were just fat and a couple of pieces were so hard I had to spit them out. The pork ribs were not tender and were difficult to eat (the meat would not come off the bones). After eating and not finishing my plate, I felt unwell and things did not sit well. I will have to keep looking for a good BBQ place in the panhandle.

This is just my opinion. The food was tasteless and very little options or variety. I ordered the fried catfish with fries and Mac and cheese. The food seemed fresh but didn't taste like anything. I only went there because a buddy of mine was in town and wanted to catch up. I would never pick a BBQ place to eat. So maybe that was the problem. But, the serves was fast and our waitress was on top of everything. She did a great job.

The food was pretty good. There were mix ups with our appetizers being taken to another table (the waitress we had did very good someone else gave them away :( …) overall it took us 45 minutes from ordering appetizers to getting them. The food we had ordered a few minutes after the appetizers came almost immediately after. Anyway didn’t have much fun was pretty much done by the time the food came. Wasn’t terrible otherwise though.

This is usually a favorite when we come to town but this particular trip was very disappointing. Our waitress/bartender was excellent but the food was terrible. All the meat tasted microwaved, the mashed potatoes were gritty and everything else was very mediocre. We liked to come here as a nice lunch when we are in town but this time was a very expensive disappointment.

We ordered Bone Daddy through Uber eats becausee we were craving good bbq and we’re stuck at home. We ordered a full rack of ribs and a brisket sandwich, with NO bbq sauce. Who ever heard of bbq with no sauce?! The ribs were good, but the brisket sandwich was dry and tasted like liquid smoke was used to flavor it. Bbq that had a chemical after taste. The queso with brisket and green beans were good, but the brisket ruined the meal.

What happened?!? They used to be fairly busy so the service would be a little slow but I thought they had great food. We went last night and while we got great service the food was terrible. Driving up I was shocked at how few cars there were. Again, service was great! But to start, rolls served before the meal were rock hard. Ribs were cold and so fatty that you could see half of each rib as solid fat. The chicken sandwich was so thin there was mostly breading, very little over cooked chicken. The queso came out great but the chopped brisket on top was dry and hard. Very disappointing and sad. It’s so obvious that they’ve cut so many corners to save money that the good isn’t worth the price any longer. Won’t be back.

Good service and atmosphere but the past few times I've requested moist brisket it's been very dry. I tried the ribs this time and they were so dry you could hardly chew them. (Edit) Gave them another chance and was onee again sorely disappointed. The brisket was tough and not rendered at all. I was difficult to even cut it with a knife much less chew it. They did swap it for smoked turkey which was good but likely won't be back.

The quality and quantity of food has gone down so much and my last two orders have guaranteed I won’t be ordering again any time soon. My sandwich today just consisted of four big chunks of chewy flavorless fat and my wife’s Turkey sandwich had two thin slices and no BBQ. The sides and containers keep getting smaller. Last time i ordered I was missing items and when I called the store I only received a half hearted apology. If you do decide to eat here go in store so you aren’t left hungry when you get your food.

Very disappointed with our first time eating here. We made an online order and we received a confirmation it was ready. When my husband went to pick it up they said they didn’t receive our order even though they had already withdrawn the money out of our bank account. He gave them the order again and when he went back in to get it 30 minutes later it still wasn’t ready…they supposedly didn’t have enough brisket,. When we finally got the food it was extremely cold and old. There is no way that they made us fresh food. I suspect they made our order but lost it, then found it and gave us the cold old order but said they had just made it. Just my impression. Either way it was really cold. They did at least offer us some coupons for free appetizers and gave us a free dessert, though only after I had to basically ask them for it. I was told their online system often messes up orders. But if so, why hasn’t that been fixed by now?? Overall it was a horrible experience from the food to the customer service. Probably wont be retuning.

I was waiting to pick up an order as a DoorDash driver. Arrived and waited over 25 mins to receive the order. During my time waiting they handed the wrong order to another driver and overall took way too long. The customer had to wait way longer than their estimated delivery time and we had to turn it in very late.

Managers need to train employees to stay off of there phones while are at work. Our waitress sat at the bar on her phone . I had to stare at her to get her attention to ask for what we needed. Didn't do any good to holler at her she couldn't hear us. Just sad what kind of lazy generation we have to deal with

Worst service I have received in a long time! Management doesn’t even care that food was incorrect. Out of the 3 plates we ordered each plate was wrong. Need to do better!!! Get another manager that actually cares.

So I just ate at bone daddy's I was ready for a good meal that I was used too from there. Well that is not what I got. All of my meats were cold the potato salad had zero taste. I sent the food back and my 2nd plate was just as cold we paid $71.34 what a waste of freaking money. But the biggest issue to me wasnt the price .problem was the nonchalants from the employees. It's like screw you customers you need us we don't need you. Megan and ozzy yall need to get your team together. Because this was ONE of the worst experiences that I have ever had in a restaurant.

Worst Barbecue I think I've ever had. Brisket dryer than my elbows. The only positive thing I have to say is the service was good and the beer was cold. Definitely not the place to go for good barbecue though. Spent $100 on food my spouse and I probably will not eat. It was our first time here. Will not be returning.

I haven't been here in a little bit, and was disappointed to find the wait staff uniforms have changed, and the portions have gotten smaller. The portions were smaller than a kids menu. This will be my last trip here.

My wife and I just went into bone daddy's. We were seated quickly and told our waiter would be right with us. We sat there for at least 20 minutes and no one even took our drink order. There were several girls at the front desk talking and a girl bussing tables and people being served around us. Noone ever acknowledged that we were there. They were not that busy. We left.

My wife and I went there on Monday with our two young granddaughters. Around 6:00 we have never been there before. I had the two meats with the two sides. The burnt ends were definitely burnt and dry. The sticky ribs were not sticky. Don't know why they call them that they are not sticky they were kind of dry too. I'm thinking the meat was left over from lunch. The Roadhouse spuds were mushy like. Smashed potatoes almost . I told the waitress about the burnt ends. She said she would tell the cook. Nothing ever happened she never took it off the bill. We are here from Florida. If that's Texas BBQ. I will wait till I get back to Florida. For BBQ.

I'm just saying, this barbecue sauce taste exactly like sweet baby rays.. which is delicious but I don't think they make their own sauce haha and the buns look straight from the grocery store.

June 21 2024 4:15 pm My wife and I went into bone daddy for a meal.. After 7 mins standing waiting to be seated. We finally had to ask to be seated. There were two men at the bar one man in booth. After being seated waited another 5 min for a waitress that never showed up. It was obvious that the waitresses were more interested in flirting with the single men in the bar than doing their job. We will not be back and would not recommend this place to anyone!

We used to love eating at Bone Daddy's. We ate there last month and the service was great the bar tender was our waitress. I can't remember her name but she has been the bar tender for some time. Unfortunately, she was not there at this visit. We had a waitress didn't seem to care that our food was cold and bread on burger was soggy. Her excuse was that they were short staffed. We still have to pay full price for food. It is not ok to serve cold soggy food just because your short staffed. I was very disappointed and disgusted with the service. My husband's brisket was dry and hard. My son's food was cold .I don't know what has happened to this restaurant but it has gone downhill. The customer service is the worst and cold food is not good. We will not be visiting this restaurant anytime soon and will suggest others do the same and not eat there unless they don't mind sorry service and cold gross food.

We arrived before 1 on a Saturday and placed our order, received our drinks then waited and waited and waited. Once the waitress asked if I wanted more water....waited and waited ~ FINALLY 43 minutes after ordering WE LEFT. The menu looked great and the five of us were ready to eat but we'll never know if it was good or not. Doubt we'll EVER try it again. Your loss!

My family of 5 were excited to try it for the first time with our family in town. We were seated in less than 5 minutes. But once seated no one ever came to bring us drinks or even acknowledge us. We waited more than 10 minutes, the host just stared at us and the waitresses did nothing! and we finally we decided to leave. Mind you there was maybe 5 tables at most And more then 3 waitresses. When we were walking out the 2 of the host told us thanks for your time and just laughed.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! This is our 2nd time coming in 2 months. Both times were a horrible experience!!!! Earlier this month we came and waited for over 30 minutes, we finally get sat and still waited longer for drinks!! Then AFTER ordering we were told they were OUT of everything we ordered!! We got up and left after having to ASK for our drinks and bread!! Today we came, wanting to give them another chance… The service was pleasant but the menus need to be updated!! How ironic the TWO items we ordered, are discontinued. We ordered, food was okay. While sitting enjoying our food the hostess comes around and turns off all the tvs, mind you it’s 4 in the evening. This was very rude!!! We could have atleast been given a heads up they are closing early!!!! I give this place a year til they shut down!!

This has to be the worst BBQ in Texas! Bill Miller's is such a better option. With that said, we are in Texas where BBQ reigns King. You would expect to find decent BBQ even at its worst. This place really dropped the bar and severely lowered its standards to be a BBQ restaurant. How is it surviving? You got me?.... To the experience and food! We came here for the first time thinking this might be a cool place to relax and have some decent BBQ. We didn't get any of that from here. We chose to sit at the bar because there was no hostess waiting on anyone. Upon sitting down, the bar was nasty and sticky. The bartender that was working a very slow establishment ignored us until we were getting ready to leave. Finally, a little recognition and we thought things might improve. They did not. She took our drink order, then flipped around and proceeded to do other things. After about 15 minutes, she finally poured our beer. Then, she took our order. We ordered the Pit Master a $50 spread because we wanted to see if this place was worth coming back to. The short answer is, it is not! The Pit Master comes with brisket, sausage, pork ribs, chicken, pulled pork, and burnt ends with two sides and some bread. Looks are deceiving. From the looks of it, everything looked editable and possibly delicious. It wasn't! The brisket had dirty smoke flavor. It was dry under season, lacking a good bark and smoke ring. We didn't eat this. The pulled pork had that sewer smell and rancid old pork taste. This was trashed. The chicken appeared to be that frozen flattened chicken breast. It was dehydrated, hard as a rock, and super chewy. This was discarded. The pork ribs were tender but old as well. They were almost Jerky, like with that hard meat on the outside and tender dry meat in the middle. We didn't finish these either. The burnt ends were straight awful nasty, dirty smoke flavor, hard, and so chewy you could break your jaw on them. Had to spit these out. The sausage was the only thing that could pass as editable, but it was not good with that old fat taste. It was cut nice, at least. But this was also disposed of. We ordered green beans and Mac and Cheese with our food. The green beans were nasty. The broth was like slime. It was as if they had a bunch of leftover green beans from days prior and kept reheating them, adding fresh green beans in the mix daily to make them seem fresh. You'll see the overcooked, almost yellow green beans mixed in with the fresh green, green beans. That gray broth you see is the snot like juice that they were cooked in. The Mac and Cheese was actually good, no complaints here. This whole time, the bartender ignored us just about. But we were not the only ones she did it to. We noticed she didn't give any attention to the couples at the bar but catered to the single guys every need. Looking at the other people's frustration, we knew we were not the only ones. After everything, we got the check. Two beers, crap food spread called the Pit Master and horrible service our bill was $84! It's definitely not worth it and never going back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING ANYWHERE, BUT HERE!!!

Wife ordered a top shelf margarita and it tastes like the sweet and sour, no alcohol at all. Very disappointing, to pay for a top shelf margarita and it’s missing the alcohol and the size of the drink is ridiculous. We were the only customers in the establishment and placed our order, and been waiting and watching our waitress walk back and forth from the bar to the kitchen. I stand corrected two more people came in. I ordered the two meat plate. I get more food at HEB bbq for less money.
