Always good and consistent. We love to go here on the weekend because we can get in and out fairly fast. Don't go in expecting the best burger you've ever had. It's a good burger and fair prices. We really like it.

Blue sky is a yummy burger shop. The burgers are good sized and their fries are awesome. The have great seating facilities. Also don't miss their kids eat free on Tuesday evenings. They have a variety of burgers, fries, onion rings, salads, chicken sandwiches, and sodas. Very good.

They might possibly have the best onion rings in Lubbock. They are made in store not frozen. And the protein plate has wonderful flavor.

On the long trip from Houston to Lubbock (8hrs) I was really craving a good hamburger. Looked up some places on Yelp and settled on Blue Sky Texas. SWEET GOD... It was so good. I picked up a double patty cheeseburger with bacon, and some onion rings. Excellent... I was happy with every inch of the place! The taste was just spot on, buns soft and crisp at edges, and all the flavor of teas... man.... Kind of set up like a fudruckers, very family oriented, but it's also got a bar area blocked off by a large wall with some TVs for sports too... And the margaritas looked pretty damn good too. Will be coming back again.

I loved everything about this restaurant except the atmosphere. Let me explain. It was just too dad blame hawt in there. The coolest part of the restaurant was the bar and I don't drink. Talk about irony😆 But in spite of that I enjoyed my time there. I hope whatever is causing it to be so hawt in there gets fixed soon. Ladies if you're going through or entering into menopause this is NOT the place to dine in on hawt days evenings or nights.

We had good meals at this place. I didn't realize that most places in Lubbock are a walk-up counter situation. For some reason, I thought this would be more like a diner. ANYWAYS, our food was good. I wish I had gotten something other than a burger because at this point, we'd been to like 3 other places that served the same type of food, and I was burgered out. My burger was great, and my onion rings were *chefs kiss*. My husband got their chili dog and it was impressive, it was just a big hot dog, but there was A LOT of chili. And my husband looooved it, he said their chili was delicious.

Very much enjoyed the lunch my sister and I had when we stopped in. The ambiance reminded me of Fuddruckers, but with a Texan twist. The staff was very nice and from ordering to getting our meal ( hot) no less was quick. Two thumbs up and will recommend.

Had the bacon cheeseburger. I'm gla I requested no lettuce because my friends' burgers had it piled on. Burger was done to perfection - nice char and juicy. The homemade bun is soft but not squishy. Very tasty. Side of tater tots were fried perfectly. They offer tea in 3 varieties - coconut, peach & regular - all in sweetened or unsweet. A decent variety of sodas. Menu selection is broad.

This is a great place to eat. There's a lot on the menu, but I still get the green chili cheeseburger everytime. My dad got the wings. They are quite spicy, so be aware. They were good for sure but not what he was expecting. Also, they are breaded and then fried. Mom had the salad which was really good. Kids had chicken. Staff was all very friendly. Also, it's always clean. They are very generous with the green chili. And they do have a decent selection of bottled beer. I've been to both locations. Both are the same. Oh, and definitely try the onion rings. The fries and tots are good as well, but onion rings with some ranch made the meal.

Food is usually good, so I do visit from time to time. Went in and placed a to go order 11/11/23. People aren't perfect and some items were missing when I got home. Called and spoke with the manager Byron, and was given two options...Either they'd remake the chicken fry or refund my money. I opted for the remake. Byron went above and beyond making sure the entire order was remade which is why I want to give him and the staff a 5 star rating for their customer service. Not every place goes out of their way to fix an issue like these folks did. I appreciated it more than I could say.

This was our first time at this Blue Sky Texas location, and think it is definitely the best! We love the layouof the restaurant. It was clean and cozy. If we had to say anything negative at all, it was too loud for conversations. The server couldn't even hear us, lol. The food was premo!!! The burgers, fries, and onion rings were al cooked to perfection. Some of the items we requested on our burgers weren't correct, but we contributed this totally to the loudness. Food, cleanliness, and service were all easily 10 out of 10. We will be back!

Love the options here. They have fries, onion rings, and tater tots. The burgers are top notch, as is the fried cheese. I love that they use pepperjack cheese in their fried cheese. I didn't eat them, but the loaded cheese fries looked amazing! Yep, I was scouting out someone else's plate! That's what I do! 5 stars all around.

Blue sky never misses! We went on Saturday night for a quick and easy dinner we have a salad with crispy chicken (add crispy chicken), a burger with fries, and a protein plate. Every meal came out perfect. The portions are great and everything is delicious!

I had the guacamole burger and my daughter had the chili cheese burger. These were flavorful, large portions, cooked fresh, and filling. The onion rings were homemade and seasoned deliciously. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The tables were spaced enough to walk through and not feel crowded but tons of seating for groups if needed. I highly recommend Blue Sky for your next meal.

Had to go to the Dr @ Texas Tech. This place was delicious! I had chicken fried steak & fries. The steak was great but the fries were AMAZING!! Good thing they give enough for two people .. I ate them all!! 😋

When we come to town we always take my son to eat somewhere new. He found this place. We had to wait an hour and a half for the handicap bus but it was well worth it the chicken fried steak was the best and the most tender I ever had. Not to mention the pride mushrooms they were the best of the best. Thank you we enjoyed it.

The burgers are a 20 out of 10, they are absolutely incredible! Also green chili cheese fries were excellent!

I am a Cheeseburger LOVER!! I have experienced a range of Cheeseburgers from many states, it's my "go to food." That being said, the Cheeseburger I enjoyed at Blue Sky Texas was the UNEQUIVOCALLY the BEST Cheeseburger I have ever had!! The burger was cooked perfectly, was juicy and the suggested toppings put the Cheeseburger from Blue Sky Texas over the top for me. We were just passing through this part of Texas and now I wished I lived closer!

The green chili strips and green chili burger are phenomenal. I also got to taste a red chili burger which was great. My favorite part was the tasty fresh brewed tea. I mixed the lime with the coconut! Yum...tasted like a snow cone. I can't wait to go back.

It's a nice, quaint place. We had a cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Both burgers were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The fries had a crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside. Also, I had a strawberry milkshake. It was a great meal but a slightly higher price than we expected to pay. We will be back, though.

The first time here is a good food place. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with green chile, my daughter ordered the cheese burger without the bun, and a side salad. My wife had a cheese burger with a side of onion rings. Everything was very good, so good that even the sight of the food made it so tempting. I forgot to take a picture to show you all how delicious they looked. We will definitely return. FYI, tech students and faculty get a discount with an ID. Just ask.

Texas is known for its great food and this restaurant lives up to the reputation. The Frito pie and mushroom swiss burger we're AMAZING! First time having a Frito pie and it won't be the last. The chilli had a nice spice to it and the cheese was some ooey goodness. I had to cut the burger in half in order to try to get it in my mouth. The thing was massive! The bun, burger, and all the fixings made this burger perfect for dinner. The burger was juicy and seasoned to perfection. Blue Sky Texas is a reason why people come and stay in Texas.

Dad and I dined at Blue Sky Texas for the first time in long time; I had a hankering for their chili cheeseburger and tater tots. Dad got the bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. There is a small wait for your food, but that's because they make it fresh to order. Believe me, it's worth it. We chose a booth, which can seat 6, maybe even 8, comfortably. There were tables available, but right after we ordered, a huge crowd from the university came, and the place started to fill up. Of note is that they have some specials mid-week, so you can get your burger, fries, and a medium soda cheaper! Recommended!

When i was in college, i found this place to be right next to my apartment and decided to to try it. The service was friendly and the atmosphere is very comfy and definitely has that feeling when football season is around! The burgers were tasty and nicely cooked, but were a bit too greasy. it is a little pricy for the burger by itself, but the taste at least makes up for it. Personally i would probably come back for a bite if i want to make a quick stop on a certain occasion

We Celebrated my Grandfather's Heavenly Birthday and it was perfect. Had he been with us i know he would have definitely enjoyed his family gathering together there it was a fun night. I had a Mushroom & Swiss Hamburger with sautéed onions. The buns were soft & fresh and the hamburger patty cooked to juicy well done. The fries I had to take home and were still good for a midnight snack. I didn't even warm them up. Service, food, and cleanliness. We gathered for dinner at 7:00pm and stayed til close and they had no problem with us holding up so many tables. THANK YOU

Well, if they would add a little more mayo than they put on my burger, and would add some kind of seasoning to the fresh fries, it would be rated up there with some of the better hamburger joints I've had before in this great state of ours. *Added...straws are needed to make the really good sweet tea easier to drink, too. But, all of these are minimal faults. The staff is very friendly and full of smiles, and that's always a big plus! I do like the overall look of this establishment, as well. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a REAL beef burger, with options to add whatever you'd like to it, for the most part.

A pretty good place to grab some beers and watch whatever sporting event is going on. They have a good collection of drinks and a variety of foods, but there are a few things that can be improved. The burger kinda did fall apart very easily. While not a big deal, it got messy very quickly. Secondly, most of the sides ended up being more expensive than their actual burgers...which was kinda strange in my opinions. Lastly....the hot water needs to be turned down in the bathroom (or at least a warning sign.) it was instantly scolding and was way too hit. Other than that, very friendly, fun atmosphere, and tasty food!

This blue sky in midland is phenomenal. This one in Lubbock by UMC not so much. Entire staff standing at the register talking. Not paying attention to food coming out of the kitchen. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich, it was burnt to crisp. Will definitely give them another shot when back in Lubbock. The place was clean and that says a lot about a place.

This place is pretty good but not great. Patties are thin and not very tasty. Selection of burger styles is OK at best. Still probably the best burger joint in town overall when you factor in ambiance and experience. But, they do have literally the best onion rings quite possibly in the entire world. I've been here plenty of times. The mornings alone would be 5 stars but every time we come at night it's been an issue. A couple months ago I came here around 730 with my kids had simple meals. I was number 50. By the time I got my food 84 was getting theirs. I went to the counter to get my food and it had been sitting there minus the cheese fries. My shake was watered down. Food was cold. Felt like I was the issue and it was their fault. Earlier tonight my wife placed a order and the girl who took the order had a attitude and was very short/ unfriendly. When I get to pick up the order I sat in the drive thru for about 5 minutes before I pulled up and just got off to get it myself. When I get inside I tell her my order and she seems bother as if I didn't try the Togo window. We usually dine in during lunch time and never have had issues so I'd give them 5 stars but lowered it because of night issues. I guess the management runs different at night.

When you pay 23 dollars for a burger, chili cheese fries and a drink. You shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes for you fries. After receiving your food. I got to say the food is good but if these two items cant be executed in a timely manner. Then let the guest know or dont offer something you cant sell. This place is just mediocre at best. Ordered our food, cashier didn’t give us a drink and just walked off talking to other employees then came back and gave the cup. Then we get our appetizer which was onion rings and they were not that great. They were not battered enough. They bring the onion rings out first of all with nothing to dip them in. After what felt like a lifetime and there was no one in the restaurant, they bring out the food. The grilled cheese was the best thing we ordered. The chicken fried steak wasn’t very big and it was okay, not great. They forgot to bring my side salad until we were already eating. All in all, very mediocre food and service.

Whoever claimed this place has the best burger in town must have very low standards. $42 for a single bacon cheese burger, chicken salad, two small sides and two small drinks. Over priced IMO. Order was made incorrectly. Other than placing you order at the counter there is zero service. They don't even bring your over priced food to your table for you.

Went during the lunch rush today; It was busy and took about 15 minutes to get our food after ordering. The hamburgers were definitely not cooked to order as they were not hot or juicy and fries had been sitting under heat lamps for a bit. Maybe we'll try again during off peak hours as it could have potential.

There was a dam bug in the salad I still recommend eating here though the food is good just watch where you bite and also there chicken fried steak is a 10/10

I came here with friends but I actually didn't eat because I'm a mask wearer inside and this place has no outdoor seating. I docked this place without eating for a few reasons. Out of everyone in the whole restaurant, I was the only one wearing a mask and I watched an employee cough into their elbow which made me thankful I wasn't eating. At most places the staff seem to acknowledge their customers more but this isn't one of those places. On the bright side you don't have to worry about slow wait staff because you pick up your own food when your number displays on the wall.

I would rate Wendy's as better than this garbage. 10 dollars for a burger, and the fries or onion rings are always SOGGY. Not crispy ever. Always soggy. Also, who uses this batter for onion rings? They didn't even use crispy panko or whatever equivalent breadcrumbs for onion rings. The texture felt loose and greasy, not crispy. Hell, I'd rather go to Whataburger and get their onion rings too. The Mushroom and Swiss burger wasn't bad, but nothing impressive. Caramelized onions had too much grease to be caramelized. To those who think I just had a bad day, I've been here 3 times now to give a onion rings, fries, two burgers, and a chicken fried steak a try. All disappointing.

In town for Tech graduation and family of 6 and I went in for dinner due to great reviews and menu. Very family friendly atmosphere, casual vibe, and good lived up to the rave. Unfortunately, the service experience ruined the experience for us. Short brunette That took our order was the most impatient and rude individual with an attitude that I’d expect from a fast food chain. Elderly parents were rushed with continual “what else? Is that it?” Was also not given a second soft drink cup after paying and when asking, we were met with an eye roll and a dismissive “I already gave it him”. Hopefully this is a one off experience. Wish ours was better as we really enjoyed our food.

I'm 9 years old, and I asked my mom if I could leave this review. This place made me sick. I thought they put food poisoning in my burger. They cost so much for not great burgers, and their onion rings are super salty. We coudn't even eat the onion rings.I guess the fries were ok. I not only got ignored for 42 minutes by the girl who took my To go order, but by the management as well. Apparently, if you are waiting on a to go order, they will not just give it to you when it is ready. They will let it sit in the kitchen until you come ask for it. I've worked at many restaurants and none of the managers were ever this oblivious to a customer sitting in the dining room for over half an hour with nothing in front of them but a receipt. Both managers saw me and did not make an effort to see why I was sitting there so long. Poor service. Poor management. Can't imagine the food was any better (this was a delivery order, so I didn't rate the food. Maybe it is good because the atmosphere is nothing to write home about. They use MSG in the seasoning so couldn't eat there. If you have an allergy to MSG look elsewhere. It's too bad because the burger menu looked good. If you don't have an allergy, give them a try.

If you want to eat a burger that is more bread than beef, come here. Is the thinnest patty that I have ever seen in a burger. On top of that I think the fries were from previous days...and guess what? The burgers are expensive and don't include the fries or the soda....so, I paid 40 bucks for a mediocre burger. Next time, I will just go to Whataburger or McDonald's and for sure I will have a better experience.

$21 dollars and the milk shake ain't even a full milk shake. Absolute scam and will tell everyone I know not to come here anymore. $6 for a milkshake and they can't even fill it entirely. Will not be coming back.

I placed an order online and went through the drive-through to pick it up. The worker opened the window and didn’t even greet me. Only said “what’s the name” then slammed the window shut. When she came back, she handed me my food, then slammed the window shut again. Never once smiled. Horrible customer service that makes me not want to come back

I won’t be going back to this location again. The guy at the register was incredibly rude. I simply asked if his line was open because there was a bit of confusion with another customer, and he just shrugged without even making eye contact. When I gave him my order, he seemed annoyed the entire time and never looked up. It really put a negative vibe on the whole experience, and I didn’t even enjoy my meal because of it. According to the receipt, his name is BS and honestly, it was just a really unpleasant visit. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service in the future.
