I am a local of Lufkin, I have eaten at every latino place in the town including the taco trucks. Nothing taste better. I love y'all so much I visit 3x a week and sometimes even more. One of the most unappreciated restaurants in Lufkin. I recommend their beef fajita tacos w/cheese (soft shell) only problem is there a lot of cilantro but I just ask for it on the side now.

The best in Lufkin. Hands down. Order the Jared Special, chili con queso with fajita beef and a large to go sweet tea, for less than $10!

My husband loved this place. He passed away 2 months ago. So me and the kids went there to have a meal in order to honor him. The food was great with only one exception. They need to make the guacamole with less of the onions and added ingredients. Needs More avocado in it. One lady works there Could not understand English-made it a little hard to order. But she seemed to be very nice.

This has been my favorite breakfast taco place for years here in Lufkin! Sometimes you have to wait a little bit, but good breakfast tacos are worth the wait, and they never disappoint. I mainly use the drive-through and you can call your order in the few times we’ve sat inside. Have all been great. Great food at a great price. I ate at Lindo Mexico Taqueria for lunch. Good prices, fast service, and kind wait staff. The food is pretty good considering the price. Just watch out for the very hot sauce they bring with the chips.

I really like coming here for breakfast when in Lufkin. The ladies are sweet and the food is good. My mom and sister dote about the menudo. Good prices as well!

My husband loves their steak quesadillas. The food is made fresh so if you don't call ahead you could wait a while for the drive-thru. The breakfast burritos are also Very Good.

At work, we frequent Lindo more than we'd like to admit. Their food is delicious, but does sometimes vary in terms of quality. Sometimes it's a 10/10 meal, sometimes it's more a 5 or a 6. It's all homemade, authentic Mexican food and you can definitely tell. I've only ever gotten their food to go, so I can't comment on the inside at all. I'd recommend their tacos with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The green sauce they provide is extremely spicy but it has a great flavor. Much better than the chain "Tex Mex" places in town.

Stopped in with a friend to have some late night Mexican food, didnt know what we wanted so our waitress recommended the Birria tacos. I am not sure how long I have made it without trying this dish but let me tell you it was fantastic. I am looking forward to eating here next time I am in town.

Had the enchiladas with nachos. The nachos are not the style that I prefer (individual chips baked with each ingredient) but I’m not mad about it. Nachos of any kind are good with me. The beef on the nachos didn’t have much flavor and the enchiladas are on the small side. Beans and rice were good and salsa is served warm which is a bonus. Overall an enjoyable meal especially for Lufkin.

Food is pretty good but the servers are slow and rude af if you dont know Spanish. Mi Tierra has better food, service, and prices so I highly recommend eating there instead.

Today food wasn't that good. Beans were cold and tortillas were hard. Ever other time we been there it's been good.

We were the only people inside and our waitress was not very attentive. Also, my enchiladas were TINY. The bathroom smelled awful. I have been eating here for years-this time was by far the worst.

Sometimes has good food, no personality people, dont tell you before you order it will be 30 minutes for drive thru. I liked coming here, but in the last year or so they have gone downhill.

My vodka shot had a fly in it. Apparently it was the last of the bottle too bc they didn't have anything else in the potato department. The taco salad lacked actual greens, but was overladen with refried beans and bland dirty rice.

This place has one of the crappies food service. If you order through drive thru, I recommend turning off your vehicle because the wait is long for your food. Also, the manager Lopez has really bad management skills.. the food can be okay. When you order it in a special way they will most likely catch an attitude with you and give you the opposite of what you order. Whoever the owner is must really train their employees to serve an individual with a courteous attitude. I don’t recommend this place unless you have the patience to deal with the people there or deal with wait if your food. I hope this review helps anyone.

Every time I come into this restaurant the cashier are not friendly at all. I think they need to work on customer service skills. I do love the food but they need to work on how they approach there customers.

Waited for almost an hour to get our food. Waitress was not very attentive and the restaurant was not busy at all. The table behind us ended up getting their food to go because of how long it took.

I just attended this restaurant and there service was slow they had barely checked on us and when they did they brought cold coffee the chips were stale then we found 2 separate hairs in our food and in the back the ladies were being very loud and problematic I’m pretty sure they were fighting

I orders dinner from here for delivery via grubhub. And I’m very disappointed. First off they didn’t have 4 of the items I ordered from their menu (plantains, broccoli, quesadilla, and flan). 2nd I ordered the enchiladas especiales which are described as having mole sauce with queso Fresca and red onion). What I got were at best Tex Mexico chicken enchiladas with a tomato based sauce and velveta cheese. The ‘fajitas’ consisted of small chunks of chicken that was mixed with a few peppers and more velveta. 🤢🤮

Don't order breakfast tacos. Very specific about 3 tacos ordered...NONE of the ingredients on any was cheese...but guess what was on them...cheese. asked for chorizo on 2 of them...it was on only 1 and that was VERY scarce. Sausage ordered on last one...hardly any there. But plenty of potato on all 3...if you like potato tacos..this is YOUR place to eat

My wife and I went last night and got10 tacos they gave us the WRONG ORDER. My wife kept calling up there they would not answer. Finally today she got someone on the phone who said they were the manager and that they were sorry to bring back the wrong tacos they gave us with the receipt ,and they would remake the order.. Which WE DID!!!!! Some LADY NAMED SANDY basically called us a liar and said she was the owner/manager. Gave us $5.00 and told us to leave !!!! We will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!! SAMDY IS RUDE,RUDE,RUDE

Have been to this restraunt twice, the first time was about a year ago. The service was terrible and after 30 minutes of waiting at our table no one had come to get us drinks or take our order. Once we flagged someone down they seem aggitated and put out that we wanted to order. The second time was tonight, while sitting at the table waiting for our food the manager lady came out and began screaming at the waitress. All because she mixed up two tables or something. The waitress appeared to own her mistake, but the female manager continued to scream and began cussing the poor girl out. She was dropping the f-bomb in front the entire restraunt. I don't appreciate that language being used in front of my daughter. We got up and asked how much we owed for our waters, the manager still pissed off asked us don't we want our food. We told her no, she stated, well it's ready. Again we offered to pay for our water and advised we would not continue to sit in a restraunt where the staff is cussed out in front of customers and subject my family that language. We tipped the poor waitress and left. We will not be returning to this restraunt.

$11.75 taco salad. And paid for hot sauce. No hot sauce. I called to ask and was told you come here all the time so next visit I will give it to you and I said no because the taco salad was burnt and you could see bottom of shell and the cheese under that soaked through. 4 pieces of meat. Then when I make it up there the manager said my kid must have eat it on the way home. Just like the hot sauce lol wow blame my kid like that when thw bag was tied. Bet you learned not to point and yell or say their kid did something instead of fixing it. I mean you knew who I was because I ordered there all the. Time. Your lost. Let me tell you about this place as the 2nd bad experience I had at this establishment.... I went in on Christmas Day 2019 to have dinner with my family... My mother at that was among our party... My wife and I ordered a beef fajita taco with avocado..plus 1 cheese enchilada... Only 1... 20 minutes later our food comes out ... Only 2 tacos... AND BOTH ARE COLD... THE AVOCADO WAS PASSED DUE.. BLACKENING AROUND IT..... So I take them back... And yes of course they stick them in the good old traditional Microwave... At this time my mother's 1 carne asada enchilada is not on our table yet... My sister got her mini tacos... She asked for beef fajita also.... I observed a customer that seemed irritated... I had to find out... Of course her order was wrong TOO... AT THE END SHE WAITED 45 MINUTES FOR HER FOOD TO GO... Yet this place is not packed with hungry customers... 40 to 50 minutes later the 2 enchiladas come out... And yes their excuse was that there was a mix up... Typical... And by this time my wife, my sister and I were done with our dinner.. 😡😠.... AND THRU THIS HOUR THAT WE SPENT DISSATISFIED WITH OUR DIFFERENT PLATES THAT WE ORDERED... ALL THE BEEF WAS THE SAME... CONFUSED.. I went to pay our bill... I asked the manager what was the difference between beef fajitas and carne asada ??? She said , "Here it's all the same to us." I offered to differ from her claim and she said, "Well here in Texas it's all the same everywhere." What and idiotic response. I work around the food industry and I challenge anybody to contradict the difference... Anyway as I was paying... I happened to look towards the kitchen area and observed a cook drop some tamales on the floor...no gloves... And then proceeded to pick them up from the greasy floor.. Put them on the plate and stick them in the Microwave... AND THIS MY READERS.. WAS SERVED TO A LOYAL PAYING CUSTOMER.. I told the manager what I saw and she ignored me... She was already upset because my wife and I were challenging her on her claim about the beef fajitas and carne asada... Recommend yourself to a better restaurant with the same decent prices BUT BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WHERE YOU ARE VALUED AS A PAYING CUSTOMER... Overall no apologies were offered just a look of LEAVE ALREADY... And of course my last time to visit LINDO MEXICO RESTAURANT.. THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO READ... HAVE A BLESSED DAY🙏

Don't waste your time. They messed up my order, and when they brought out the right order the food was cold. Staff was very rude, wait was too long, and food was overpriced! Never again will we step foot in there, it was by far the worst experience we've had!!!

A 30 minute lunch turned into 2 hrs. Could not get wanted on. We were the only ones in the establishment when we arrived, 3 groups of 2 came in and got their food before us. We still had to get the waitress and tell her we wanted to order.. the one glass of tea went quickly, it was an hour before we got refills. When the food came I refused mine. At payout a glass of tea cost me 10 dollars. I'll never set foot in there again. Not quite sure why they decided that myself and my buddies weren't worth waiting on. Worst treatment EVER by a lady in the drive through named SANDY. They gave me the wrong order. I called up there spoke to someone who said they were Mgr. Was told bring back the food they gave us wrong along with the receipt and they would replace order. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I've been there 3 times and I will not be returning. The first time I went it was two servers standing at the window. They carried on a conversation for like 2 minutes never acknowledged me, never said just a moment, nothing just stood there talking. Another lady had to come and take my order. The second time the lady seemed as if she had an attitude and did not want to take my order. The last and FINAL time I placed my order at the window and was asked to pull around. After about 5 minutes there was another vehicle behind me waiting as well, they got their food before me. After another 5 minutes several other vehicles had come and gotten their food and I was still waiting. I stopped the lady that was bringing the food to the other cars that were waiting and asked her about my order. She said ok. Another 5 minutes went by as I was making my way back to the drive-thru window (because I was going to give them a piece of my mind and it was not going to be pretty) before I FINALLY received my order!!!! 15 MINUTES WAITING FOR 3 SMALL BREAKFAST TACOS!! The girl that brought my food did not even offer an apology for my wait!!! I just snatched my bag and drove away! I have NEVER left review of any kind on any site, service, product, or business. But I will NEVER return to this restaurant and I will not recommend it to anyone else. I will tell people of their HORRIBLE SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS!!

My family and I used to love eating here and recommend it to everyone (esp. the breakfast tacos). Unfortunately, the last time we attempted to eat here the service was terrible. And as someone who has paid many a bill by waiting tables I try to give wait staff the benefit of the doubt. The food is not worth putting up with the horrible service.

The only reason I gave it one star was because I had to in order to leave a review. I ordered the cheese dip and got it cold and it was brought when my food arrived. My food was cold as well when I received it. I sent it back only to receive it cold again. I walked out and will never EVER go back!! I don't understand why all the other reviews say it's good authentic mexican food. It's terrible!

This place has gone down hill from eating here once to twice a week morning or dinner to being scared to stop through due to service and food problems. Tonight we ate here against our better judgment. My 6 year old daughter's burger had tinfoil in it. They ran out of sweet tea and then charged me to change my drink and my husband's drink. I knew there was a reason we stopped going here and tonight reminded me why. After commenting on their Facebook profile instead of reaching out to apologize for the horrible service, mistakes, and being overcharged they blocked me. This place isn't worth going to anymore.

Overpriced for mid food. My mom and I came for breakfast and both meals were cold and covered in too much ranchero sauce. They charged extra for tortillas without telling us, and we had to ask for chips and salsa because the service wasn’t great. It was freezing inside with the AC and fans on when it was 55° outside. Not worth it — save your money.

Do not even get me started on how AWFUL this "restaurant" is. I dont know her name but there is one female employee who is a pathological liar. Everything we asked her, we got a lie in response. It was an extremely demeaning experience, and I am immensely proud to say this is the last time we buy from here. I would feel targeted by the employee who served us' absolutely abhorrent customer service and disposition to lie, but literally every time i have gone here the customer service has been actual dog water. Besides, the food is so, so mid. Like its just okay on a good day. Also, I want everyone to remember the rat infestation they dealt with not too long ago... If my review gets deleted ill keep reuploading it as many times as i have to. this place cant keep getting away with this.

Food at this restaurant is not worth what their asking prices. Everytime I eat here, they give you very little, the food is okay, but I wouldn't say its good. Paid $15 for a menudo and it was bland and tasteless, plus the meat was rubbery and greasy. I will never use this place again. Overpriced, skimpy servings and not very impressive. Do not be fooled with their prices, just because its pricey, does not mean the food is good. Never again.

Coffee tasted like dish soap and I got really sick after eating breakfast there. Food also took an hour to come out, tasted subpar and when I brought the coffee to the attention of the cashier she told me everyone had the same coffee and there was nothing wrong with it.

I got two tiny tacos and tamale instead of an enchilada combo for 9.99. Hubby got two bean and cheese burritos plus a couple of horchatas. 40 freaking dollars and the burritos were so much smaller than they have been in the past. Inflation sucks but the sad reality is I can't afford to spend so much money for so little. It's good to support small and local businesses but based on prior reviews it doesn't seem like this place is being honest.
