Extremely friendly people I met there today April 3, 2025. I thought this was their food pantry but, discovered it is their distribution site to divide the foods and supplies for other food pantries they work with. Had a few very well informing and engaging conversations as well. ~Harley~ P.S. Keep up the Great Work you all are doing and have a blessed time while doing it too :)

This is food sorting area. You will not be able to get services here. Great place to volunteer your time, but not where you can pick up food.

My department at work has volunteered sorting food for Second Harvest for a few years now. We have a great time every time. It's always eye opening how much food they provide for people in our communities. I highly recommended volunteering for this organization.

I have volunteered at second harvest Foodbank in the past and I really enjoyed it. Second harvest food Bank is a very crucial pillar in our community that help serve thousands of people every day. The staff is very friendly and the work that they do is extremely important. From sorting donations To helping package donations to shelters it is super for filling work and I would definitely do it again.

Great place to drop off food drive donations. Friendly workers and excellent email support to set up our company for drive.

GOOD WORK FOR A GOOD CAUSE Second Harvest, a nonprofit as part of Feeding America's Wisconsin division, works to supply excess food ranging from dairy to produce to canned and frozen foods to families in need. Volunteer efforts are the lifeblood of this cause, and for me, it's one of my personal favorite volunteer job sites. Workloads vary from day to day; One day might be spent packing potatoes into bags, while another is spent placing labels on cans, and so on. I leave it to you to make the best decision for you, but this was what for me.

Really great place to volunteer. Staff is helpful to show you what to do. You meet people from all over the area. Learn a lot of what goes on and how the organization runs.

Marcia Pederson is our rep for the Six Rivers Food Pantry. She goes above and beyond to keep the pantries updated on what is going on. As our rep we are in constant contact due to all of my questions. She makes things happen, and corrects my errors. All of the employees at Second Harvest, that i have dealt with are helpful and knowledgeable.

Speaking from the volunteer standpoint, Second Harvest does a great job of education volunteer groups on the mission, purpose, and impact. Volunteer events are well coordinated, and the volunteer shifts fly by.

Provides food to those in need. This is a great place to volunteer. Volunteering can range in activities, my group packaged frozen sausage patties and labeled cans.

I thought this was a food bank but it is the distribution center which they distribute to all the food banks. They were very nice and very helpful. They gave us a list of all the food banks in the Madison & Dane County Food Pantries.

Great company, I have been on both sides clean facility and large donations of food for families to bring home. I used them during the pandemic for there wonderful service.

They make it a great experience for volunteers. Well coordinated and the staff were very welcoming and pleasant to work with. Facilities are nice and we'll maintained. Easy to get to, but they cautioned about having enough parking at times. I would volunteer again.

I'm a otr trucker and was trying to avoid wasting a pallet of product the shipper didn't want returned. I was actually referred to Second Harvest by a nearby Goodwill. After making contact and explaining how I didn't want to just throw a product in the dumpster that could have benefited. I arrived to the location and was met with true curiosity and professionalism from everyone I spoke with. Thank you

Didn’t seem to want our donation

Today was the first time in 6 months I have gone to any of the Second Harvest mobile pantries. Last time we went we got SO MUCH it helped us for weeks! Today? Not so much... after waiting in line in our car for 45 minutes (and first driving there which took about 25 minutes) we got our package. Went home and unpacked, every piece of produce was crushed or already spoiled. The protien source we got was 6 pouches of almond butter, we also got a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk as well as 2 individual servings of yogurt. Nothing canned, nothing frozen, we basically wasted more in gas than it was worth. Im so worried about feeding our family now. Its sad that this far into the pandemic, when the help is needed more than ever, its gone.

This organization just sends people who are in serious poverty, and starving through a lengthy obstacle course through the whole city just to have a meal that can just simply help a human. And you will be judged on age and race. that is very wrong.

Website is very unhelpful. There’s a tab labeled “find food near me” that directs to a page that says they don’t have any mobile food pantries at this time.

Not help people with food so me and my family going Hungry.

The docks are designed for little straight trucks, NOT 53 foot trailers,, I will say that the people were nice...
