This restaurant may be the greatest seafood you will eat it is genuinely that good and for the price really cannot beat the value. However the service (specially if you are foreigner/tourist) leaves much to be desired. They are incredibly short with you, will rush you, and be perplexed if you even ask a question about the menu. Having said that the food is so good that it still deserves 5 stars.
The mariscos is always delicious and perfectly cooked. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It is always super crowded so I wouldn't go without reservations. Because it is crowded, the atmosphere isn't great for an intimate occasion but if you want amazing food at a reasonable price, this is it.
Delicious food. A little bit on the classical side in terms of menu and atmosphere. We had razor clams, asparagus, turbot and steak. The service is a little rushed, tell them to slow down or don’t order everything at once. Special thanks to Brince and Jhun for solving our problem with the reservation.
Stopped here for a few tapas for lunch and loved it so much we went back for dinner! The best part are the waiters; friendly, lively, accommodating and you can see thru are genuinely enjoying their work. The atmosphere is great, mostly locals and all Spanish speaking. We had the chickpeas and prawn and there sepia, both were fantastic. In the evening we had razor clams, the tuna timbale both delicious. The turbot had too many bones and the lamb chops were a bit fatty but other than that everything was great! I recommend coming for tapas vs main dishes.
Great selection of appetizers, starters and main meals. We got cured tuna and assorted cheese as starters and shared the main meals too. You can’t go wrong with anything here. Reservations are highly recommended, because it was Monday 1:30 pm and this place was packed with locals. The staff were amazing, and start speaking English the minute they noticed we don’t speak Spanish. Not to forget, the portions were good and the prices were decent.
Came here around 3pm and this place was packed - But not with tourists, with locals! Had to wait a bit for a table and ended up sitting outside which is fine. Some servers speak English and some absolutely zero English but they are all very friendly. Food was amazing, had razor clams and the creamy octopus rice
This was a very lively tapas bar with delicious food and wonderful service. We managed to grab the last remaining table inside as we'd originally booked a table outside but was raining and couldn't sit outside. Shout-out to the two waiters who were working on the evening of 12/3 as they were so kind and patient with us, and took the time to explain the menu, check in on us and have a friendly chat. They took my husband's allergy very seriously and made sure that dishes we ordered didn't contain anything that he might be allergic to, which we really appreciated about. The food was excellent, particularly the rice with octopus. They do serve a generous portion so come hungry! Overall lovely experience.
Perfect tapas place. The quality of food is superb, but even better was the service of their staff: accomodating and helpful. Make a reservation as it gets packed. We had vermouth, some tapas, it was delicious. The tables are all high tables which means tall stools as seats. Personally I find them very uncomfortable, but that is just a personal note. Would definitely go back, the quality of the food is superb.
It’s so good I stopped by TWICE. The vibes were immaculate and got boosted to 11 on weekend nights, with the quintessential Spanish bar crowd. Food was some of the best I’ve had in Madrid, from fresh, well seasoned seafood to rich, rich steak. The drinks were great too! They were pretty tourist friendly as they had an English menu, and the service staff were fantastic. Definitely a place I’ll stop by every time I’m in Madrid.
Spectacular. Creamy rice with octopus, sardine bread, tuna and pepper salad. My goodness were these good. Had ~10 meals in Madrid and this is the only one on the list so far we’ll revisit next time we’re here!! A few items I wanted to try were sold out by the time we came to eat at 330pm, so come earlier if you can!
What a hidden gem. I coincidentally found La Castela as my client is located right next to it. It was a great surprise to have a business lunch there. Even Monday lunch was super packed with customers. Staff are very friendly and offer prompt services. Most of them could speak good English. Dishes were all incredibly fresh and yummy. I will definitely come back upon my next visit

This was one of my favorite meals in my 2 weeks in Spain, amongst many excellent meals . Made a reservation weeks in advance and had a great seat at the bar( my preferred seat when I'm dining solo)…
Well worth a trip, all we tried was very well prepared. Service was fast and informative of all the plates we ordered. Must make a reservation.
Lovely food and welcoming waiters. The tuna and red pepper was excellent. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and the restaurant was full with a really nice atmosphere.
Everything was perfect: food, wine, service, bar. Really fantastic. Also the bill, compared to the very high quality of the offer. Definitely the best of my 3 days staying in Madrid.
Marvellous little restaurant - and way too cheap for the portion size and quality of food A great selection of wine from all across Spain and some really delicious dishes Merluza a la Bilbaina wa…
A Madrid Classic. Indoor and outdoor seating Traditional Spanish cuisine without any surprises. Simple and tasty. They don’t beat around the bush and don’t expect them to charm you much less serve you the wine in your glass from the bottle you ordered (you’ll have to do it yourself). Nonetheless, service is direct and professional. We shared everything between 4 people. The dishes were perfectly timed. The chipirones a la plancha were one of the best I’ve had, so was the cheese cake. Reasonable prices.
A beloved classic in Madrid, this restaurant is known for its excellent food and vibrant atmosphere. It's always bustling with patrons, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors alike…
We were excited to visit this restaurant due to the good reviews. However, we found the food to be nothing more than average. Service was OK. Nothing special here.

Great food with good service. Our event was ruined when we where literally forced out at 1545. While it is true we were advised that our reservation would be until 1530, it is also true that we w…
