I had a great experience at the Iberia Lounge in Madrid on 28/12/2025. Compared to many other lounges I’ve visited, particularly in Asia where staff can sometimes be overly aggressive in trying to collect your plate before you’ve even finished, the service here was perfectly balanced. What I Liked: • Respectful & Effective Staff: The staff were very efficient but, most importantly, they weren't pushy. I could actually enjoy my meal in peace without feeling rushed or having my food cleared away prematurely by the staff. It made the whole environment feel much more relaxed. • Quality Food: The food selection was "good good." The hot dishes, like the Chistorra sausage and mashed potatoes, were delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. • Great Extras: The Game Corner with the Xbox setup is a fantastic feature. It’s a fun, modern touch that makes this lounge stand out from the standard airport waiting area. Verdict A spacious, stress-free lounge with great food and staff who let you actually enjoy your time. Highly recommended for a comfortable layover.

Our lounge use was on a Tuesday evening. No queue to access. We used the clear glass lockers, so useful just inside the lounge on the right. We had a wine tasting selection at the bar and also used the cocktail area. Interesting selection of sweets and popcorn in one corner and an ice cream station. It’s a large lounge and has two buffet areas. Great view of the runway if that’s what you enjoy. Plenty of various seating. All staff are pleasant. Toilet facilities are clean.

I had a flight rerouted where I needed to stay for five hours in Madrid. Lounge was perfect and that time absolutely flew by. Both the drink and food selection were plentiful and the staff were extremely friendly. I even left to go for a walk at one stage and was able to re-access while having left my bag in the locker area .

Nice lounge. The main area is busy. But their are other locations if you move further. They have a bar area and another area offering the same food on the main entrance. They have a lot of drink options but I got some red wine. Perfectly paired with croquettes and sausage. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches and breads. It’s a great place to wait and relax before your flight

Excellent lounge. Large with plenty of seating, most with electricity outlets. Two hot + cold buffet with typical Spanish foods including croquets, chorizo and pancake. You can book a shower in the lounge. Brightly lit and open air. Lots of options for drinks - beer, wine, soda and coffee.

This is the best airport lounge I’ve ever been to. Having been to most Delta and Centurion lounges in the US this blows them out of the water. It’s spacious and comfortable with many seating options, but the thing they do so well is details. The shower room comes with full amenities kits, the wine selection is local and well appointed, they even make their chips in house. It’s worth paying for business class just to access.

Compre to its competitors, this business lounge is better in terms of space, seating and personal services. The foods and beverages are exceptionally better than I expected. There is a bar and a lot of selections of wines and cocktails. The lounge location is just after security control.

SCHENGEN FLIGHTS ONLY. Wow, if you are able to come to this lounge, I highly suggest this, as it is 20 times better than the other lounge at the airport which is part of Priority Pass. To get in to here, you need to be flying 1st/business, or you need to be a OneWorld elite member. The food is incredible. Some of the best Spanish food that I’ve had on this trip to Spain. For breakfast, they have excellent eggs, meats, potatoes, and pastries. You also have fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and a bunch of other items. For the midday snack, they have the best croquettes that I’ve ever had, as well as incredible salads, black pudding, and other delicacies. There’s a wide selection of free beer and wine, with amazing contraptions, such as a place where you can pour your own wine By pressing a button! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Other amenities include an incredible sleeping area with full-size beds that you can reserve and sleep, a huge shower section with many free showers, and free access to thousands of magazines. Overall, we had the best experience to date at this lounge. As previously stated, there is a different lounge nearby that is available with Priority Pass, however, that is way overcrowded.

July 2023 Very nice lounge but what made it a better experience was Eduardo stepping up and to assist at the check in counter. We were initially not sure if we were able to enter and was initially denied entry by the counter, but Eduardo took the initiative and step up to clarify that our ticket did allow us entry. Very fast customer recovery! 👍🏻 Counter is very spacious and has a mix of food counters, a dedicated bar area, charging ports at each table (sadly no international plug points. BYO). Nice touch that they also offer Magnum Ice-cream, Nestea and the Coco malt drink 😬

A huge business lounge in Madrid airport, it's located inside the duty free. It's for. Iberia premium guests and other high tier members from other airlines. It has a buffet, bar, coffee machines, working spaces, showers, kids area and toilets, I tried it for the first time during my departure from Madrid, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was great, and the facility was huge and clean. The staff were professional and friendly too. I hope to try it again if I'm traveling through Madrid airport again.

Amplia, moderna y bien equipada. Dividida en dos salones y una zona de bar. Catering amplio y variado y neveras con bebidas. Sirven desayuno, almuerzo, comida, merienda y cena. Cuenta con baños, duchas y un área de descanso, además de un espacio para niños. Abre todos los días de 6:00 a 23:00.

Se agradece la comodidad, la calidad de la comida y los servicios que ofrecen. Buena limpieza, tanto en los servicios, las duchas, como en los buffet, sin embargo en horas determinadas, es imposible encontrar un hueco para sentarse tranquilo. Lo peor que he notado, es que por la cantidad de personas, y la cernía con el control de acceso a la terminal, las antenas deben estar saturadas y los datos móviles van fatal por no decir imposible, tendiendo que salir de la zona para poder trabajar tranquilo. Por lo demás, se agradece tener esta opción para los que volamos frecuentemente.

Es una buena sala vip, se podrían mejorar muchas cosas como por ejemplo no tener el mismo menú todo el mes, de resto es una buena zona de descanso si tienes que hacer escala y estar un par de horas esperando, gran variedad de bebidas, frutas, postres, dulces y unas buenas butacas que es lo mas que se agradece, si pudiera ir siempre en vip no lo dudaría pero a veces el precio de los billetes es muy elevado.

Buen salón VIP. Se agradece enormemente la sala de descanso para dormir. Muy cómoda. La comida es promedio, pondría mayor variedad, el espacio es cómodo, buena variedad de bebestibles

Yo juraría que esto ya lo había valorado pero bueno lo volveré a valorar. Lo peor de este sitio es la cantidad de gente que porque se cree que tiene dinero tiene derecho a estar andando hablando por el telefonito como si no hubiera nadie más en la sala VIP. Hay gente que por mucho dinero que tenga le faltaron dos bofetadas de pequeñitos y aprender lo que es el respeto a los demás. También como aspecto negativo es que no tienen estrella de Galicia. Cómo puede ser que en una sala VIP del principal aeropuerto español no tengan la mejor cerveza si no es la más vendida de toda España. Sí que quiero destacar que el personal es muy amable muy atento y muy trabajado la verdad es que no paran en todo el día y tienen que aguantar a todos los maleducados con pasta que hay en esa sala la mayoría de las veces. Mi total enhorabuena a todos los trabajadores de la sala por su respeto y educación. Sillones para más consejos como tu compañero amigo y vecino el caramelito motero. Por cierto obviamente cuando estuve allí no iba en moto iba en avión.

Good but not great. Lots of seating space but choice of food is limited. Most of people tend to be in an area right next to entrance, there is more space in the lounge but its not very visible that it exists - so one area very crowed and very few people in another. Btw, the board says that they accept OneWorld Emerald only (highest) while in reality both Emerald and Sapphire

Had about an hour to spend in this lounge before my flight. Check in was fast and pleasant. It's a very large lounge with several separate areas. Really like the open design into the airport itself which kept the noise level down. Food selection and quality was on the higher side of European lounges and nice to have self serve as well as 2 different areas with duplicate food so it doesn't get too crowded. Just caught the changeover from breakfast to lunch so had a bit of both. The table seats are a bit cramped, but otherwise comfortable. USB/Power at each table. Even when busy fairly easy to find free seats. Overall one of the better VIP lounges

Massive lounge immediately facing the security so it is well located and easy to find. Very large lounge with plenty of seating spaces available. When I went it was quite quiet and smoothing. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and nice. The lounge is well maintained and clean. The selection of food on offer was okay but not very impressive!

Not really a nice atmosphere due to the enormous hordes transiting through. No dress codes, people in flipflops and dirty clothes , people with their shoes on the opposite chairs. Terrible feeling, like a Walmart restaurant. Not worth spending time there at all. I later went to the Velazquez lounge which was a bit better. Such a disappointment in general…

Arriving from 4S for a connecting flight, it took about 40min to find its entrance. It isnvery well hidden on a mezzanine floor over your head. Small, busy, good food, poor selection. From Iberia, at Madrid, i expected more.

Las formas lo peor. El día 2 de febrero no sale el vuelo de madrid a dallas retrasándolo a uno para el día siguiente mucho pero comunicado. En mi regreso el sábado 7 dallas a Madrid, llega 3 horas de retraso, tengo que regresar a Granada dos horas después, pido acceder pagado bussines a la zona Vip y me dicen que no hay plazas. El problema no es que se puede o no, no me escuchan de me han jodido toda la semana, la chica se ríe por ir en turista, veo que Iberia no cuida sus formas. Después de 16 horas de vuelo y retrasos y ni queriendo pagar para descansar mientras me sale el otro vuelo. Suerte que le valla bien a Iberia que yo pagaré más por no viajar con ustedes

Iberia vergüenza!!! No viajes con ryanair, vuela con Iberia! Y volamos con nuestra bebé de 6 meses con Iberia, y por un problema admisnitrativo de Iberia (pese a tener billetes, llegar a la hora, cumplir todos los requisitos) nos dejaron tirados en Atenas!!! Con una bebé de 6 meses en brazos. Sin informarnos de nuestros derechos, sin facilitarnos hotel, negándonos hoja de reclamación. El personal de Iberia de Atenas no quisieron gestionar los billetes, nos informan que pese a ir identificados y vestidos con uniforme de Iberia …son una subcontrata; nos remiten al teléfono de atención de Iberia… horas al teléfono…y sin solución. Nos denegaron el embarque. Nuestra bebé precisó atención médica por deshidratación después de 5 horas de estrés. Nos tuvimos que buscar nosotros otro vuelo, tuvimos que buscarnos hotel… No pudimos acudir al trabajo al día siguiente. Estamos en reclamaciones. Jamás volveré a viajar con Iberia, es la misma atención que ryanair , pero más caro

Compramos un vuelo con Iberia Luego, Iberia modificó unilateralmente uno de los tramos, y ese cambio —hecho por ellos— nos perjudicó directamente. Como consecuencia, nos pidieron que eligiéramos entre modificar el vuelo o solicitar un reembolso. Optamos por modificarlo. Nos informaron que recibiríamos un voucher como compensación. Nunca lo entregaron. Además, no respetaron los asientos que habíamos pagado. Posteriormente, Iberia afirmó que el cambio lo habíamos hecho nosotros debido a una protesta en Argentina, lo cual es incorrecto. Desde entonces intentamos resolverlo por todos los canales posibles: • Call center • Oficinas de Iberia en Madrid • Iberia en Chile El resultado fue que nadie se hace responsable. En cada contacto nos indican que no pueden gestionar el caso o que no corresponde a su área. Es muy frustrante que una aerolínea venda un servicio, realice cambios que perjudican al pasajero y luego no ofrezca una solución concreta.

Denied me access despite having a transatlantic Business ticket — because it was a “last minute upgrade” to Business, even though I was able to access OneWorld lounges at other airports on the same ticket. Showing website proof of policy did nothing. Awful customer service, extremely rude personnel. Puts me off from Iberia as a whole.

Terrible Experience – Iberia Misleads Its Business Class Passengers I bought a business class ticket directly from Iberia, expecting lounge access as advertised. Instead, I was denied entry — the staff at the lounge were rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. Iberia sells “business class” tickets without actual business-class benefits, which is misleading and disrespectful. The receptionist didn’t even try to help, just snapped that my fare “doesn’t qualify.” This was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. Iberia should stop deceiving passengers or start treating them with basic courtesy. Avoid Iberia if you value honesty and respect.

Untrained staff, all they care about is how not to let you in. Staff has zero attention to detail - I waited for a shower cabin after a flight from the usa, they messed up their 'hi tech' pager system (a solution born in Applebees in the 80ties of previous century) waited 1.5hrs, no shower, almost missed my flight. Then, after the screwup - they totally don't care. Like everyone in Spain. No sorry, no apologies.

There is a long queue in the morning. The staff is not friendly at all and they don’t speak any English, they only guide us in Spanish which is horrible for international travellers. They definitely need to improve friendliness and proper service. Spanish people are generally friendly and providing a great service but this airline does not have the reputation at all.
