Fantastic birthday meal for a large group of 10. The team were brilliant, the food is stunning and we had a great time. Highly recommended
We recently attended the seafood night at Bombay Story, and it was an absolute delight. The seafood starters were outstanding, bursting with exquisite flavours that truly impressed. The cocktails were equally remarkable with the Bombay sour and Queen of Wokingham being particular standouts. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. It was an excellent evening from start to finish and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
My new local favourite! We came here on a busy Saturday evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service was fantastic. A big thank you to the staff for accommodating us without a booking. The food was cooked to perfection. No ask was too big. The fried chillies that accompany the vada pau were so good, I asked for more and they gave us plenty. The atmosphere was great, the decor is attractive. I cannot wait for the next visit (which will be in the near future). I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Maidenhead.
Excellent breakfast on Sundays ! Highly recommend…service from the team is also exceptional and they go out of the way to please you !
Fantastic restaurant, the drinks especially the cocktail are expectational. The food is an amazing mix of flavours! not to forget the staff who are so attentive and quick to please! If you’re looking to eat in Maidenhead, i highly recommend Bombay Story.
This was our first visit to Bombay Story Indian Kitchen in Maidenhead. We were warmly greeted on arrival, which set the tone for the evening. Service was first class throughout. Food was very tastefully presented and we were very happy with our choices. We can recommend the chicken Papdi Chaat for starters. For mains we recommend Malai Prawn Curry and the Beef Nihari which was so tender. The tandoori brocoli was delicious. Parking very close in Sainsbury's car park.
Exceptional service and very tasty food! We had a really nice evening celebrating our anniversary and the staff took really good care of us. The food was authentic but with a unique personal touch. The drinks were also fantastic and well executed.
Newly opened Bombay Story Restaurant in Maidenhead town. We had a table for four booked in advance. Very busy on arrival, but quickly seated. Extensive food and drinks menus, including cocktails. For us, food was spiced but not too hot, but dishes vary. Nibbles and starters first, followed by a selection of mains, rice, and paratha. All very nicely presented and tasted great. Opening deal of free starters for each main. It was a bit slow in getting food to the table, but it was worth the wait, and it may just be because the restaurant was pretty busy. Nice service from friendly and helpful staff. The toilets were nice and clean.
Absolutely stunning. Perfect veggie samosa starters with roasted broccoli .Prawn main was outstanding and the sweets were top quality which is often hard to find in Indian restaurants. Wine, top drawer & service to match 👏
This is a quality Indian restaurant, the food was prepared to high standard, the manu offered a good variety of authentic Indian dishes. The service was excellent and courteous. My wife and I will visit this restaurant again.
A hidden gem! I’m reluctant to tell anyone how good this place is because I don’t want it to get too busy to book! What a wonderful experience of delicious food, attentive and warm staff who interacted with such a friendly manner, and a lovely ambient environment to match. We don’t need to head into London for a spectacular Indian food experience, it’s now accessible far closer to home.
I visited Bombay Story restaurant with my company colleague. It was nice meal out. The food was exceptional! Authentic Indian flavors with a modern twist. The ambience was cozy, and the staff was very attentive. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. From reservation to meal completion, Staff did brilliant job. Avocado dumplings and Paneer tikka in starter was awesome. They amazing options of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. I highly recommend Indian restaurant in Maidenhead.
A great addition to the increasing number of good restaurants in Maidenhead town centre. Serving possibly the most delicious Indian food I’ve tasted and with probably the best wine list amongst the new restaurants in this part of Maidenhead. We enjoyed everything about our experience from the tasteful decor, welcoming staff, ambiance, excellent service and of course the food. Bombay Story is a treat!
From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and very attentive. The menu was very extensive making it hard to choose what we wanted because it all sounded so good. The food arrived in good time and was extremely tastey xxx It was my Sisters birthday and at the end of the meal they presented her with a decorated birthday plate xx Highly recommended and will definately be returning xx
Honestly One of the best places for authentic Indian flavour if your tastebuds are in need that tangy ness missing from days. Came here for the first time last year and came today the food is more than what you think. From breakfast to Dinner the food it holds you captive to try out. Would really recommend the place the atmosphere and interior are really speaking for itself. The staff is very lovely warming and welcoming. 100% good deal.
We had an absolutely wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration at Bombay Story. The lovely ambiance, fantastic food, and great service made the evening truly special from start to finish. The starters were all unique and incredibly delicious, each one thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. Kudos to the chefs for creating such beautifully crafted and memorable dishes. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection — beautifully pink, soft, and tender, just as it should be. The fish in green masala was excellent, fresh, and perfectly balanced with vibrant flavours. Desserts truly stole the show. The chai milk cake was phenomenal and honestly gives Letto a real run for their money. The pistachio tiramisu was equally impressive — rich, indulgent, and the salted pistachios made it outstanding. A heartfelt special thanks to Nishanth, who has been an excellent host for us over the past few years. He consistently goes above and beyond to make all our celebrations memorable, and this New Year’s Eve was no exception. Thank you, Bombay Story, for another unforgettable experience. We look forward to many more celebrations here!
What a great find in Maidenhead town centre. We were so well looked after by Janin and the team with good recommendations and 2-4-1 cocktails. The food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious, if you get chance do pay these guys a visit!!! Thank you Bombay Story.
I celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was an absolutely wonderful night. The food was delicious—every dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. The staff were warm, friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Overall , Great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere.
The food was excellent! The cocktails were also amazing, and the 2-for-1 offer made them even better. The only downside was a bit of confusion about the tasting menu. Outside, the sign said it was available until 6 PM, but once inside, the menu mentioned you have to order by 5 PM. We asked around 5:05 PM and were told it was no longer possible, which felt a bit misleading, especially since the tasting menu was what initially drew us in. That said, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and overall we still had a great experience.
From foodies who find it increasingly hard to find good places to go, absolutely fantastic food, service, cocktails and location. Pistachio tiramisu was amazing. Worth the price👌🏽
Had a delicious breakfast at Bombay Story! We started with vada and masala chai — both were amazing. The poori masala is a must-try, and the curry dosa with two chutneys and mild chicken curry was just perfect — the crispy dosa went so well with the curry.
Excellent food, ambience and great service; probably one of the most succulent Shiek Kebabs in the area; delicious! Highly recommend
I recently visited Bombay story and had a pleasant dining experience. The food was delicious, though I did find the portions to be on the smaller side, which didn’t bother me too much. However, as someone who’s tried authentic Indian food, I felt the flavors could be more enriched, as the taste leaned more towards a western interpretation of the cuisine. While the food is a bit on the pricier side, I didn’t mind paying for it due to the fantastic location and the excellent ambiance. The setting is perfect for a relaxed meal. I also loved their drink menu—definitely try the cocktails! They had a great 2-for-1 deal, which was a nice touch. Customer service was top-notch, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. Overall, it’s a great spot, and I’m looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommended!
Wow. Great find. No pre-cooked meats in sweet or spiceless sauces here. Far exceeded our expectations of bland British Indian food. Beautiful interior and friendly staff followed by some special food. Even the chutneys weren’t the boring usual; the prawn chutney was unique. All the food was delicious and bold in flavour. Perfect heat levels, the mango and coconut in the generous monkfish curry were glorious together. Aubergine wasn’t cooked to a mush, great texture and taste. Who doesn’t love perfectly-roasted spiced potatoes? All the dishes tasted distinctively different, so rare. Peshwari naan wasn’t too sweet as it can be elsewhere. Service was lovely, cocktails were 2-4-1 and expertly made. I know I seem to be unusually gushing but the food was fantastic, the service friendly and they made a fuss over our anniversary. Heartily recommend!
We popped in for a snack and drinks around 11:30am on a sunday and we ordered dosas from the breakfast menu, then after 12 ordered samosas and more drinks. The food and service was excellent, brilliant decor and air con inside, relaxed shaded tables outside with nice surroundings and view.
Excellent tasting food and great service! They even brought out a complimentary dessert for my birthday, would highly recommend!
Really impressed tonight for my first visit. The food was outstanding! So many flavours! The staff are all very welcoming and made our experience one to remember.
A really lovely experience, great flavoured food and service . We were treated to a broenie and glass of prosecco each for celebrating our anniversary. We will be returning. Thanks Janin you were fab!
This Indian restaurant perfectly blends tradition with creativity, offering classic dishes with a fresh, modern touch. The flavours are rich and authentic, with just the right balance of spice and seasoning. Each dish is beautifully presented, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is stylish yet welcoming, and the service is attentive and friendly. Whether you’re a fan of traditional Indian food or looking for something a little different, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
The food was delicious.. Vada pav was reminded of Mumbai. Avacado chat was yummy. Jackfruit curry was delicious. Alphanso cheesecake is must try. Staff was very helpful. Ambience is lovely…
From the warm welcome when we arrived without booking, to the end of the evening everything was faultless. The cocktails were great, and the food was superb. I couldn’t decide what to have, so the waiter recommended the chef’s special chicken curry with naan, perfect! And the baby aubergine side dish was delicious. Can’t wait to return 😃
Great place. Wonderful location. Super friendly staffs. Must try for anyone loving Indian food. We tried the Chef’s special lamb curry, Vada Pav and few more dishes. Each of them excelled in flavour, aroma, taste and presentation. The restaurant overall looks very fresh and inviting.
What a delightful find. Wandering around Maidenhead , stopped for a snack and had 3 courses . The staff were amazing, with wonderful service and the food selection on offer was not your standard Indian. Street food options were particularly great.
We had a wonderful lunch here for a birthday, The set lunch tray was absolutely lovely I had the prawn and a friend had monkfish curry. Both were lovely. We ended with 2 for 1 cocktails
I finally managed to try this restaurant. The food was delicious as good as what you get in India. I am a foodie. I would highly recommend this place and I think it is one of the best Indian restaurants in Maidenhead. I would definitely be coming back again to try their Sunday breakfast :-)
A great experience from start to finish. Inderpreet was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to offer recommendations that were perfectly suited to us. Food was flavoursome and cooked superbly without being over spicy, you could really enjoy the dishes for what they were. Desserts were excellent and difficult to whittle down. Highly recommend and excellent service. You have a great team of front of house staff and chefs, don’t change anything.
Second visit to this restaurant and definitely will not be my last. Delicious food beautifully presented. Attentive staff but don’t crowd you. Lovely setting and perfect atmosphere. Very busy
OMG what a find. This isn’t just curry, this is a taste sensation. The location is perfect, it was a cold January lunchtime and we walked in to a lovely warm restaurant and were greeted by smiling staff. The smell was divine! We were shown to our table and I ordered a non alcoholic negroni it was delicious and had so many flavours. The starter, main were the best I’ve ever tasted and then we had the dhal - just try it the dhal, I loved it! We had aubergine, cauliflower all cooked to perfection with so much flavour. Then…. Try the Indian Tiramisu and the Rice pudding. Please ! Even if you are full up share them! You will not be disappointed. I’m going back. Soon !
A great start to our Sunday morning. Been wanting to try the breakfast here for a while, delicious Dosa’s and a lovely selection of other Indian breakfast options. Janin was very helpful guiding us through the menu also. Must start with a masala chai, a great delicately spiced full bodied Indian tea to energise you! A must try alternative breakfast choice from the classic pastries and coffee. Lucky to have this in our local area.
Food is SuperB! Service is good, environment is also comfortable specially upstairs seats Will be back again next month, really delicious local Indian delicacies - Old Delhi Butter Chicken - Chicken Paddi Chatt 😋😋
First time visiting and we will definitely be back! Greeted at the door with a great smile, sat at a fabulous table and served by a very friendly team member. Food was brilliant; the menu is definitely unique and there was so many dishes I’d never heard of, but are now a favourite! Their lunch menu looks incredible and they’ve given us a 20% off voucher for our next visit! Highly recommend
This is our favourite restaurant in Maidenhead. The food is incredible, unlike any Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to. The waitstaff are always so welcoming and give top service. We’ve tried most of the menu at this point and there’s nothing we wouldn’t recommend, of particular note we like: vegetable samosas, the butter chicken, nilgiri murgh tikka, lamb bhuna, and always without fail the Dal (you won’t be disappointed). We recommend this place to everyone.
The Food here is top notch with beautiful flavors in every course and the biryani here is a must try. Also it is a must if you have a special occasion as they surprised me and my husband with a celebratory cake for our anniversary. Very good service and is a quite pleasurable atmosphere. Thank you Bombay Story, I will definitely come back to this restaurant to achieve this wonderful experience again.
Stumbled across Bombay Story as our usual was closed. Absolutely delightful. The restaurant is beautiful appointed, in every aspect. We visited Saturday evening and it was full, however the service was fantastic, we weren't left waiting at any point. The best thing though was the food. We were all amazed at every course. A refreshing and excitingly different approach to your average curry house . I'm quite hard to impress but they all did a very good job. Will definitely be going back soon
Food was decent. Bhuna and Beef boy are winners. Forced service charge is a pest. Service was perfect.
Amazing vibes. Very clean and uplifting with the quality. Keep up the A quality standard of service and atmosphere. Starters are amazing. Would have been 5 star if the curry dishes were more authentic taste and maybe on the bone curry options. Will come again for those lamb chops.
Really excited to try this new indian restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The menu is a mix of inventive and authentic indian cuisine, with the starters more on the inventive side and the mains on the authentic side. The main dishes were bursting with flavour, and were super homely. The gulkand kheer was amazing, must try. The kitchen staff were lively and had big smiles on their faces - you can tell they’re passionate about what they cook up. Will be coming back again to try other things on the menu, but would probably skip the starters next time. Our only feedback is - Vegetarian options felt a bit limited. The avocado dumplings chaat was on the dryer side. Paneer butter masala was too sweet. And worth noting that if you’re a group of 2 people - you will be squeezed into a tiny space against the columns in the middle of the restaurant which was quite uncomfortable and left us with little room for even our food. They wouldn’t let us switch tables despite there being empty tables throughout our entire duration there, and said that they can only accommodate the more comfortable seating locations for people who call to book instead of book online.
Like this place. Went for lunch and have been for dinner too. Ordered the chicken papdi chaat which was nice. The spiced negroni Mocktail was good too (ordered due to buy one get one free offer) There were only 2 lamb chops which I thought was expensive. I enjoyed the food but found the restaurant to be very expensive and therefore haven’t gone back. (Only went back for lunch as I had a day off work and there was a 30% off on weekday lunchtimes offer).
We group of 5 girls visited on occassion of my friends birthday. We enjoyed the warm ambience . Delicious and sumptous portions of Indian food. Paneer tikka, chicken papri chat, kasundi paneer amazing. They showed beautiful gesture with a complimentary drink and cake for the birthday.
Though this restaurant has a lovely feel and the food is nice, it feels as though they've sacrificed portion sizes/accompaniments to try to get more money out of customers. Our 'nibbles' turned out to be a sliced up cheesy naan. I had a vegetarian kofta dish for main around £14, which comprised of four golf ball sized dumplings in a lovely sauce. I had so much sauce left over after I'd used as much as I could on the dumplings and paratha. My partner ordered the lamb biryani, which consisted of a large portion of rice littered with tiny bits of lamb, a dish of raw red onion and an enormous pot of raita. It might be traditional, but we've never had a biryani without a saucy vegetable curry given alongside. It worked out ok in the end because he just used my excessive sauce to ease the rice down. We wanted to order a beer and tap water, but on offering were told that there was an offer on cocktails. We said that we didn't cocktails just a beer and felt there was a disappointment from the waitress. A clear strength was the range of vegetarian options that were genuinely interesting and well thought out, but I don't think that's enough to get me back in there. £66
