my favourite cafe ever i’m so lucky to have this locally. amazing amazing food for vegans and second hand vegan friends/family :) it is a little pricey but they don’t skimp out on quality or portion sizes!! all my non-vegan friends love it too❤️we love you vegivores!

I am not vegan myself but my sister and brother in law are and they came to visit me and we went there. It is a very nice place, nice people working there, atmosphere was great. It was amazing that they could look at the menu and have plenty choices and not being changing ingredients like in a normal restaurant. The food was all amazing and we were very happy we went there!

Amazing food as always and lovely service. We've been customers since the Windsor market days years ago and they never ever disappoint! Thank you guys!

Honestly, I only went there to make my vegan friend happy, but ended up loving the crispy gnochi, and the tiramisu was one of the best I ever had (and I had lots!). Amazing service, also good drinks... Perfect atmosphere, easy to talk... Great for a date as well.

Stopped for lunch. The atmosphere and the staff were great! The food was delicious I had the Mac and cheese which came with a dressed salad it was absolutely delicious I think it’s one of the best things they have in their menu. Perhaps the best vegan Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. My partner had the burger which was also very good. The tofu was well prepared.

Amazing array of food and options: all equally delicious! My favourites are the macarito, slay burger and chilaquiles rojas on the new brunch menu. Their waffles also never disappoint: I tried the new waffle versatility where you can pick your own toppings and it was so good! Service never disappoints and they all have such smiley faces. Definitely recommend whether you’re vegan or not!

Amazing food, great service and such a lovely venue! I’ll 100% be returning as the whole menu looks delicious. We had the burrito, the mac and cheese (a must get!), the tofu knots, and the broccoli sambal (very spicy but yummy). For dessert we had the sundae and matcha cookie, it was amazing. I can’t wait to come back for more! Such a great drinks selection as well, so many hot and cold drinks to choose from.

Service here is excellent, with friendly staff. Food is some of the nicest vegan food we have tried in Europe, with the drunken tofu knots being the highlight. 10/10 would come again

My favourite restaurant without a doubt! I’ve been eating at Vegivores for years now and it’s safe to say I’m addicted! The food is the kind of food you take a bite out of and instantly think “wow” and start doing a happy dance with your shoulders. Fresh, good quality feel good food. Their consistency is unmatched when it comes to the quality of food and the level of service. I’ve eaten in off of their regular menu, special menu when there’s a theme/event, ordered on Deliveroo, collection etc and I’ve had an amazing experience every single time.

Absolutely fantastic Restaurant in the heart of Caversham, Reading. My wife and me have been coming to this lovely place since it opened in 2017, also having many food deliveries during lockdown. On this occasion we came on a Sunday, Lunch time. A lovely young chap welcomed us straight away and gave us a table even if we didn’t book. The atmosphere and the ambiance in the restaurant is really lovely: you feel as at home. Relaxed, Quick and attentive service, super friendly from everyone. FANTASTIC STAFF, including the manager. And the food… it gets better every time. We went for THE BOSS BOWL ( amazing fresh flavours with really balanced spices and brown rice ) and I tried the CRISPY GNOCCHI as well , to die for. Good red wine, I tried the French option. I adore Vegivores food and I am certainly not vegetarian nor vegan. Amazing presentation, top ingredients, customer service at its best. We find the prices absolutely right for the quality of the food. WE WILL BE BACK, perhaps we’ll come visiting in Bournemouth!!!

I had an amazing breakfast today. Cooked to perfection. With a piece of cake to take away, it would have been rude not to. Restaurant is very clean with comfortable seating. Staff were absolutely lovely. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Such a lush place , pancakes were sooo insanely earthy and delicious .very kind and caring staff. I'd say coffee can better , for a place of this scale I expected beans of slightly more quality, didn't feel speciality grade in the long black which I had, also I'm not concerned about paying by card , this card only setup breaks inclusivity I feel like . Already looking forward to next visit thanks Team for keeping the vibe high ✨✌️

Food was absolutely amazing! Best burger I've ever had. We can't wait to return again to try other things on the menu as it all sounded so good. The service was outstanding, so friendly and welcoming. Really couldn't fault our visit today. Thank you and we will see you again soon! :)

Been there a few times - food is absolutely delicious and service is great too. Recommend the fried gnocchi and the tofu burger, which was really flavourful and sauce is to die for. So many great plant based options!

What a lovely place! We came across it whilst walking by the river and stopped to enjoy a drink. We were tempted by some of the more unusual drinks options on the menu including the beetroot and rose syrup iced latte (yummy!)

Vegivores is a lovely versatile restaurant [and make great birthday cakes to order] - and not just for vegans. I've lived in the area for nearly 5 years and I've turned up my nose at vegivores for over 3 of them. The menu didn't look exiting to me as a happy meat eater. Love my steaks, burgers etc. Then, January 2024, we did Veganuary, so we tried them. And regret hit me. Why did we not try it sooner? Why did I think it wouldn't be good when every weekend it is packed? This restaurant is fantastic. Every dish is nice. We know this, because we tried pretty much every dish on the menu since. And it's healthy. This is not vegan junk food full of processed nasties and fake meats. It's vegan wholefood plant based. We all love it, including my children [10 & 15 now]. My 10 year old loves the 'boss' bowl'. My 15 year old loves the drunken tofu knots and the burrito. My favourite is the Hey Maccarito [+ jalapenos]! which is a burrito with their mac and cheese filling instead of rice. Their gnocchi are amazing and so are all their salads. You choose where you want to be on the scale of indulgent to A+ for health. There's affordable good vegetable sides [the broccoli or the medley] to mix it up. After Veganuary, we stayed vegan and so we frequent this place fortnightly on average. Either by eating in, or by getting take out [Hey Maccarito for me...]. We go there with plenty of non-vegans who really rate the food, but given meat is not a distant memory to me and I used to *really* enjoy my meat, I think I'm a fairly good judge. This year, we started ordering birthday cakes and once you start, everyone wants one for their birthday. The pic is a biscoff cake. It's a large cake so that served probably...12-18 It's my turn next and I can't wait to discuss my 'requirements' with them and see how they surprise me.

Such an inviting menu. The Vegivore breakfast was top notch. The sourdough and potatoes were especially delicious. Our only regret was that we don't live closer! Visit and you won't be disappointed.

This is my favourite restaurant ever. It is so special to have a 100% vegan restaurant because it means that if you invite anyone to come with you who is non-vegan then they enjoy the vegan options too. Helps people to recognise that vegan food is delicious and not just lettuce! It just has such good vibes with all of the staff so friendly and welcoming. The biscoffle is to die for and I especially love all of the different bowls because there are so many flavours going on in just one dish. The staff have been so understanding and helpful about my boyfriend’s allergies and they have even adapted dishes to make them safe for us to eat. There are so many options which is very rare as a vegan and even their drinks menu is extensive and has many different soft drinks and types of coffee not just alcoholic drinks. The locations is also perfect because you get a lil walk from Reading station (about 20 mins) which is so cute at night time. Overall, I would recommend this place to vegans and non-vegans and we will be coming back many more times!

Good was top notch. Massive portions ready for a rainy day at Reading. We had the Slay Bowl, Jazzy Broccoli, Gnocchi and Brunch Burger. All amazing, couldn’t get enough. Amazing space and atmosphere. The staff were wonderful. Coffee was so good we had 2. What a lovely, wholesome, yummy, and welcoming place.

OMG. We need to talk about the ice cream and waffle dessert. This blew my mind. So much so, we had to have another. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly when it came to the number of questions we asked. We are meat eaters, but wanted to give this place a go. We were really surprised how great it was. Have the ice cream and waffle dessert. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't. Life changing it is!!! Would recommend to all to try. Flavours and textures were sublime...!

So happy to have found this place! It is fully plant-based. I had the satay burger which was delicious. My side of potatoes was a little bit bland but once I added hot sauce (Cholula) and black pepper it was perfect. I will be back to try the rest. Service was friendly but a little bit slow. In the end I had my blue matcha latte to take away. Slightly powdery but good. Really happy with the food, I will take people there!

Vegivores in Caversham is my all-time favorite restaurant! If you're a vegetarian, this place is a must-visit. Their food is absolutely delicious, and I always go for their Boss Bowl—it’s my go-to dish. The flavors are spot on, and I love how fresh and vibrant everything tastes. The staff is also incredibly polite and attentive, making each visit a pleasant experience. Whether you're a long-time vegetarian or just looking to try something new, Vegivores is definitely the place to be!"

100% vegan! Had a great turmeric latte, peanut salad and walnut cake. All exceptionally good. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Amazing place.

A great place for the variety of good food and a great choice on the menu. The staffs are polite, helpful and knowledgeable with great service. One of the best decade flat white coffee too served with a smile!

This is the second time I've been here and I was so glad to see it's still really busy. We both went for the mac and cheese which is made with sweet potato and topped with a herb & garlic crumb. It was so rich and creamy, and you get a big portion so it was really filling. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Reading.

The dinner was fabulous. i had the vegan burrito but maccaritoed it (mac and cheese instead of rice). My boyfriend had the vegan mac and cheese and we had a portion of the drunken tofu knots- it was so delicious we ordered another. Our waiter Chase was super kind and friendly as well!!

A fantastic experience using Vegivores catering service to provide the plant based catering at our Wedding. There were a wide and varied range of options. The food was fresh, delicious and the portions were substantial. The order process and pricing were very clear and easy and the delivery arrived exactly as requested. It was also really useful to have all of the potential allergens clearly written on each box. The food was enjoyed by all of our guests, and was a lovely complement to the meat course that we also had.

Awesome doesn't do it justice. Very friendly staff and really high quality food. While I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, I didn't miss the meat. There is plenty going on in the dishes, textures, taste, visually appealing - we couldn't eat it all and took what was left home in cardboard cartons they provided. Highly recommend visiting, you won't regret it.

This was the one of the best Vegan Restaurants I ever ate at. I had a Pancake and was the best sweet food which filled me after a long time. My friends said the same thing on their food. Definitely visit this restaurant again.

Went to the Tapas and Tunes night here recently and it was a fabulous evening. Every time I eat here the food is a revelation, so unfailingly delicious it has become my favourite food to eat out. The weekend breakfasts are amazing and there is a great kids menu.. So full of flavour, wholesome, balanced, varied, just so good! Very grateful to have them in Caversham pouring heart and soul into what must be a really hard industry to stay afloat in. Also tried the Orange wine from local Stanlake vineyard and it was lovely, delicate and aromatic not too sweet.

I recently attended their festive cookery class and it was amazing! The guidance and education were excellent, and I really loved being hands on and practical in the kitchen. Everything we cooked was absolutely delicious and the whole experience was so much fun. They also took great care of us throughout, including keeping the drinks flowing, which added to the relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Thank you Kevin and Sarah. Vegivores in Caversham is an absolute gem. I’ve loved their food from the very first visit. They have a genuinely welcoming atmosphere always make it a pleasure to be there. And the food is consistently delicious! I couldn’t recommend Vegivores highly enough, whether you’re visiting the restaurant or joining one of their classes.

Absolutely delicious food and smoothies! We waited a bit outside (lunch time on a Sunday), no one came for a while but they were quite busy. Staff was friendly, the burrito and the Mexican bowl are very good, but the best for me was the biscoff waffle! Really good! The decor inside is really cute as well. Overall recommended. Only thing I would say is for the staff to look around the room more often, I've noticed other customers trying to get their attention for ages.

Found this place online as I wanted some vegan nice food. The venue is super cool, nice decoration, super friendly staff, has terrace all good and fine. We had 2 types of food and unfortunately I cannot say it was great, me and my girl were very disappointed. Would I go back? Yes but probably for coffee/ tea. As well, the price of the food is quite expensive for what we got but well done for the staff which is top of the line!

Excellent birthday lunch for my wife. Being a vegetarian, it was the first place she had been to where she could have ANYTHING off the menu. Food was excellent, albeit a wee bit pricey. We booked a table at 3pm, so that we could have food from the Dinner Menu. Dropped one star because of very loud kids running riot and the staff did not say anything.

Beautiful restaurant, all vegetarian / vegan. Food was great, we had a burrito and a bowl, coffee and an ice cream with chocolate and crumbled cookies on top. It was however on the expensive side tho, about £80 for two mains and sides, two drinks and coffees and two desserts. Service and staff was amazing it was quite busy but when we came in it was quite quiet which I liked.. Due to the great service there's 12.5% non optional service charge slapped on top of your bill. I usually leave 10% if asked, hence why I leave 3 stars. Definitely not a place where you come for lunch every weekend. If I compare this with other restaurants I get full on my main already without the dessert and a refillable drink that would be less than £50. Ambient is great, it was a rainy day that day and we couldn't eat outside but that's not their fault.

As we entered, the Service staff seemed more bothered about chatting Amongst themselves and glaring at their iPads, than getting us seated with menus, after I finally went to get a menu and we ordered, I had a good view of the kitchen pass, I got excited as I saw the chefs work, they look passionate and professional, then I saw a dish sat on the pass for about 15 minutes, I had a sinking feeling it was my dish! Eventually they made my girlfriend’s breakfast burrito and delivered both dishes to the table, I promptly sent mine back. They offered to make a new one, but the damage was already done, My girlfriend graciously shared her breakfast burrito with me, which was delicious! But very expensive at £15! As I went to pay, the girl serving me was very nice and chatty, it’s a shame we didn’t have that kind of a welcome, the guy with green hair who I assume was some kind of manager was useless, I heard the door open many times with customers coming in, and he didn’t even look up from his iPad! Whoever owns this place, has some serious front of house training to do!
