Amazing service. Food was lovely, definitely a little "fancier" than last time. Portion sizes were great and desserts were super delicious. Lovely touch to add a Polaroid photo and rose for valentines day. Had a live singer that was a nice addition to the atmosphere.

I recently visited The Ivy Marlow Garden for a pre-Christmas meal with family, and had a fabulous time. As always, the surroundings were spectacular, with the restaurant being decked out for Christmas. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food was up to the usual high standard - everything we ordered was delicious. We were seated in the conservatory, and we actually enjoyed the slightly calmer ambience than the main restaurant which was much louder. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and The Ivy Marlow Garden delivered a great experience.

Visted last night for my birthday meal booked by my Aunt. We had an amazing time. The food, wine and service was outstanding. Connor, our server, took my Aunts allergy seriously, explaining the allergy menu for her. I also saw him double check the worstershire sauce for allegens before he placed it on the table to accompany her meal (of course the right procedure but condiments often get overlooked). He was fun, efficient and made our night, thank you.

The menu struck the perfect balance between fine dining and comfort, offering a rich selection with some much-loved classics alongside more inventive dishes. Every plate we tried was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. The dining area itself is stunning, filled with lush plants and lovely artwork that create a warm, stylish atmosphere. We were seated at a cosy corner table with large cushions, which was incredibly comfortable.

Had lots of good meals at the ivy, always nice for a special occasion! This review was made in connection with a toast promotion.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at The Ivy Marlow. The setting is absolutely stunning elegant and relaxed, perfect for a special treat. There was a great selection of cakes and sandwiches, all beautifully presented and very yummy! The location is ideal too, as it’s perfect for a nice walk afterwards to round off the afternoon. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious and relaxing experience in Marlow.

Amazing restaurant. Popped in for a lunch one afternoon. We eat outside in the garden section. It was beautiful. We'll maintained and perfect for us. The food was really excellent and the service wonderful. Thanks so much for looking after us. Plenty of space for our pram. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a really nice spot to eat.

If you looking for a great terrace sitting, this is it! Amazing place. Came to Marlow as tourists. Saturday obviously being a super busy day we managed to get a table for 4 with no any issues. Staff is looking after you very well. Food is delicious! Some bits feel bit overpriced, as we paid £4,5 for olives and got only 6 olives per table. But the rest was outstanding. Highly recommend to get Fish and Chips.

The Ivy Marlow Garden is a lovely eatery worth visiting in Marlow on the high street. It has the interior decor and feel of other Ivy restaurants that I’ve been to. The staff are very friendly and polite. The menu has a good selection to choose from (the black cod, the salmon and the shepherds pie are good). I chose the 1917 menu for calamari and thin beaten rump steak - this was really good and a good set price. There is an extensive wine list to choice from and a couple decent beers. If you can try and get seated under the lantern light towards the end of the restaurant and these have good oval tables and comfy seats. Recommended.

Beautiful restaurant with whimsical decor. Food was excellent and they catered to my difficult dietary needs. Service was very good. Charming town.

We attended the New Years Eve dinner last night and it turned out to be our best ever visit to the Ivy in Marlow. On arrival at our table we were each given a fabulous pop out menu with flashing lights and music. Service from Josh was outstanding, entertainment was excellent. I do not know how they managed to serve up food to so many people at such a high standard! Our party had the lobster / prawn cocktail to start and Sea Bass and tenderloin fillet steak for the main which were both outstanding. Chocolate bombs for desert were also a spectacle to receive and tasted fabulous. This New Years Eve dinner was fantastic value for money, I thoroughly recommend this restaurant (with hesitation as I believe with this level of service it will become so popular in 2025 that I will not be able to get a table).

We visited The Ivy for lunch, we hadn’t booked a table and got seated straight away. The staff are very attentive and polite they served us straight away. The fish and chips were delicious and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend a visit.

The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful without being too intrusive. The menu had a wide selection of dishes and there was a special menu called the 1917 menu which featured a starter and main for 19 pounds 17. The food arrived in a reasonable time and was well cooked and well presented. The portion sizes were decent, no one in our party left hungry. Some of the dishes had a bit of theatre about them including the smoked salmon with oak smoke enclosed in the cover over the plate and some dry ice under white chocolate ice cream. I think they have struck a good balance between providing decent food and something a bit special without being pretentious. Overall, a very pleasant place to have a special meal and at a reasonable price, especially for Marlow.

Very nice ambience and decor. Fast and friendly service. Very interesting cocktails. Food absolutely amazing, everything was delicious and nicely presented. Had to sit outside but the heaters worked well, didnt feel cold at all. Highly recommended, will go again.

Can never fault their breakfast and service. Ordered vegetarian breakfast and tea, the restaurant is clean and the wait time very reasonable.

For a special treat, an exceptional place to eat and drink. Helpful well trained staff, happy to make small edits to menu items. Efficient and plates arrived looking good and tasting good. The your pics will look good on socials. End bill for 3 people all having drinks, starters, mains and puddings came to around £145 which includes service tips, which feel a little pricey. Worth it to treat your wife/girlfriend/mum/dad/work event etc.

Lovely restaurant, love the garden feel interior. Beautiful food, great staff and very good prices. Oh and no dogs allowed unless assistance. I asked cause I wanted to take mine. Shame really as so many people have dogs in the area. Would definitely go again.

First class eaterie. Nicely laid out inside, well decorated, and nice atmosphere. Service was first rate. Three courses, all of which were excellent. Price was reasonable considering the location. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Came in for some lunch. The food and atmosphere were great. I’d definitely come again, we booked a table because it’s normally busy here, so I recommend booking otherwise you might not get a table

I visited for a birthday lunch booked for 3 people at 1pm. When we arrived the restaurant was packed however there was warm, relaxed feeling with everyone chatting and clearly enjoying their food and company. We all had the £19.17 2 course menu. I had the duck liver pate starter and sea bream main. They were both delicious. I didn't realise the sea bream did not have any accompaniments but it was filling enough for a lunch. Our waiter, Nigel, provided excellent service throughout the meal with the right level of friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism. All in all, an excellent lunch. This was my second visit to the Ivy Marlow. I will return!

Amazing decor! Great value for the menu! Everyone seems so lovely too! I was given the table where I requested in the restaurant, thank to Paulina, as she always goes above and beyond for her Guest! My toddler loves coming to The Ivy and is always super excited when she is at the door. Thank you!

The family and I had brunch here on a Sunday and it was quite pleasant. We were seated near the windows at the front so it was filled with natural light. The brunch menu was quite extensive and we all enjoyed our meals. On a separate occasion my wife and I were invited to a private members evening. The canapés and drinks were quite tasteful and the service was really good.

I booked the table for our parents anniversary and it was exceptional! Food, decour, ambience, despite that it was busy we were very well looked after. As we arrived there was a congratulations card  waiting for us and our favourite table! Thanks to Paulina and the team who has made this visit so special for us, we truly enjoyed it and we will definitely never forget my parents 50th wedding anniversary!

Had a great brunch experience at Ivy Marlow Garden on a busy Sunday, celebrating my sister’s birthday. The staff were lovely, attentive, and handled everything so well despite how busy it was. There was a small issue with one of the poached eggs, which was quickly replaced, and they even apologised and took it off the bill, which we really appreciated (and weren’t expecting). After brunch, we stayed for scones and tea, and when I mentioned it was her birthday, they surprised her with a complimentary cute choux pastry dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Fantastic customer service all around. Thank you!

Wow. I took my girlfriend here for valentines day. Was absolutely amazing. A 10/10 experience, we didn't want to leave after we finished our 3 course meal. The lights dimmened and an elegant blonde singer had all of the husbands and boyfriends sweating as she floated around singing love songs to us couples. Food was great and service was perfect. Thank you for the Polaroid photo, thank you for the Rose, thank you for experience.

We had a lovely meal here. We had the 2 course set menu. We really enjoyed the steak, but prefer it without peppercorns. The set menu was quite fishy and offered only one vegetarian main but that was fine for us. Service was lovely and timely. It was a little noisy but can’t be helped. Toilets are upstairs if that’s an access issue for anyone, not sure if they had a ground floor alternative for mobility.

Nice setting, good service, pleasant atmosphere. I ordered scallops to start which were good but a little tasteless, my partner ordered lobster souffle which didn't have much lobster at all. The duck salad was very good, I ordered fillet steak which was meant to come with a truffle and calvados sauce but it had a red wine sauce, the steak wasn't as good as you would expect, the steak knife struggled to cut through it. I would expect a butter knife to cut through fillet easily. We ordered water for the table which was served to the table next to us before we were served and then appeared on our bill although they were happy to take this off our bill when we explained this. Overall I would expect better from here but it is a very nice place to eat and the staff are very polite with great service.

The Ivy Marlow is a great choice for group dining with some beautiful tables for 4 or more in the typical flamboyant Ivy style. For couples the choice is limited, some of the tables being unusually small. Shame the service let's it down, no effort to be engaging or friendly with limited exchanges on all all courses. Food is of a faily high standard but salads are way over dressed. If they sort out the service it could be a great venue but at the moment, considering the prices they charge, I can't recommend.

We visited on Valentine's Day so expected it to be busy and if course it was with live music and roses given to the ladies in the house. Very sweet service but unfortunately slow and misordered drinks but otherwise the food was excellent.

Reliably good food. Birthday extra dessert was a nice touch. Service is not so reliable, we felt they were prioritising clearing other tables ahead of taking our food order. Our second drinks order apparently got lost between the till and the bar - "it didn't print" - but that's not good enough, the drinks when they finally arrived, after we finished eating - should have been on the house.

A lovely visit for evening drinks and light bites! Really beautiful deco with a very eclectic mix of art work, good service attentive and food was served quickly, enjoyed our visit. The duck salad was amazing, really lovely depth of flavours, squid tempura was also very impressive! We didn’t book a table for early evening but was filling up when we left so would recommend a booking!

We were here for a friend's birthday. We were 6 in total, so we had a wide range of dishes from vegetarians to seafood and steak. Starters were spot on. The mains were good, but the desserts were disappointing. Service was very poor. For fine dining the waiter had no clue how to serve. He was trying to reach over everyone to pick up the empty glasses or dishes. At one point he even asked one of us to pass him the empty glass. We had two waiters and both felt like a bit tired as they were both doing the same instead of going round the table to serve. Atmosphere was just amazing. I hope the service would match as well.

Beautiful venue and a great place to meet up for lunch. Mannie our host was excellent. She made some great recommendations and her service was excellent. I had the prawn tempura which was nice but the mushroom and truffle linguine was delicious. I will visit again. There is car parking not too far (5min walk)

Booked two months before specifying the restaurant - when we arrived they told us there were no tables free - we were happy to wait! z understanding that they were exceptionally busy- then they offered seating in the bar area - very noisy and NOT what we had booked. I questioned why we could not be seated at one of the tables that WAS free in the restaurant and was told these eould have been reserved by regulars - in other words people aware of this policy of seating overflow in the bar. Well - we weren't a walk in ! I had to complain to the people before they found a table and surprisingly the other free tables were not occupied whilst we were seated for an hour. This experience spoiled our rare trip out. The food and service were good, but I would caution the owners about allowing over booking. We won't return to this restaurant as I feel I should not have to threaten to leave a bad review in order to get a table thar I had actually booked weeks ago

Had lunch here a few days ago. The waitress was fine, but did not put in the usual effort the staff usually do there. The adults food was faultless but my son’s burger was burned - both the meat and the bun. He wouldn’t touch it. I should’ve sent it back but we didn’t have time so he had Some of our food instead. Very annoying

The Ivy is a prestigious establishment and decor represents this. The inside of the Ivy is filled with stunning pictures and beautiful wallpaper, it is aesthetically pleasing and comforting. The seats are clean and comfortable which helps with the dining experience. The food was good but I believe it could have been better, I had the shepherds pie which was nice but lacked a bit of flavour. If it had a bit more seasoning it would have made the shepherds pie elite, but unfortunately it was lacking the flavour it needed. The meat inside was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes on top were delightful, it is just a shame there wasn’t more flavour. The atmosphere was very relaxed and calm but could have been a bit more lively. Overall a good place to come and experience a taste of the class and comfort.

Lovely venue, fabulous food. Put our deserts on the table and told us they needed the table back in ten minutes, so would we like coffee too right now… We declined and went elsewhere for coffee. Appreciate it’s busy but a heads up when we ordered pudding would have been good, rather than feeling rushed and hassled out. We were on time, ordered when asked and only had mains and pudding, so they probably need to look at how long service is taking too. Made us feel so unwelcome.

The food here is consistently good. all the staff we interacted with were so lovely and welcoming apart from the lady at the front greeting desk, she was unwelcoming. On our latest dining visit, we were a little late for our booking, but still well within the 15-minute grace period, yet we felt a little uncomfortable upon arrival. It’s a shame because the rest of the experience was great, but I’m dropping a star for that initial reception.

Visited The Ivy in Marlow to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The venue is stylish and the food was excellent – beautifully presented and tasted great. However, service was quite slow, likely due to being understaffed. Despite mentioning it was her birthday on arrival, it wasn’t acknowledged again, even though we saw cakes being given to other nearby tables. A bit disappointing considering we spent over £200. Great food, but the experience didn’t quite match the price or the occasion.

I visited The Ivy Marlow Garden with my sister for her birthday. In the booking notes, I asked for something sweet with a candle to celebrate but unfortunately this was overlooked. The starters (sourdough bread) arrived, but the mains took an hour to come out, which really slowed down the meal. The wait was so long that we actually ran out of things to talk about - and that never happens! We ended up asking for the bill as we had to leave and I had hoped they would still bring the birthday treat but nothing came. The food itself was fine, and the garden seating area is very cute and well decorated. Sadly, the service was slow and disappointing, especially for a special occasion.

Usually love coming here. Food was excellent. I have no complaints about the food. I have two concerns. First one was where we were sitting, opposite the bar. Very noisy mainly banging of coffee machine and empty bottles in bin. This could so easily be rectified. Our waiter was pleasant but very unlike the ivy he chucked the food on the table Spilt chips over table and did nothing and went away. Shame as food was very good.

We went to The Ivy as we were given a voucher to spend. I was really disappointed. The service was amazing, but the menu wasn't anything that amazing it was a steak on its own, a burger, or fish and mash. It was all very small. All sides cost extra. Our bill was £200 for 2 starters, 2 meals, no extras, 2 deserts, 1 glass of wine, and a beer. I had trouble with my main, and it had to go back by the time it came back. My husband had finished and ate alone The staff were lovely but too much money for what it is sadly For desert, I had a chocolate bomb that was nice

Booked and paid a deposit for the New Years Eve Special for 9.15 pm but on the day they rang 9.30 AM to ask why we missed the booking! Rearranged for 9.45 pm. Arrived to find the entrance full of people who had booked but had no table! After almost an 45/60 minute wait standing we were shown to a table right at the large back entrance glass doors which had a blanket stuffed at the bottom to stop the draught. Blankets were called for and issued. We shivered on. One elderly gentleman nearby sat with blanket over his head and wrapped around all evening. The table looked as if had been thrown together with nothing festive. The serving staff did their best given the circumstances. The singers The Bluebirds apologised that their mics could only reach the end of the restaurant proper and not in our "garden area". So hard luck! Worse was to follow as most dishes hadn't been heated/cooked correctly and had hot and cold patches. The aubergine pie was presented in a manner reminescent of school dinner slop. The lobster pasta cold. Just finishing when midnight overtook us.Desserts however were cold!! The Ivy should be thouroughly ashamed for overbooking and delivering an awful Experience.

Came today to celebrate my stepdaughter‘s birthday. On the plus side it’s a lovely atmosphere and a great venue very easy on the eye and lovely to sit outside amongst the garden and vegetation. We had relatively attentive service although for the price and expectation it could’ve been a lot slicker. The food quality was good, although both food service And attention to detail was sadly lacking. Ask for mint sauce with my lamb when I ordered, as especially looking forward to Rose Slamp as I don’t have this at home, when it was served was told they’d run out. I suggested they go down the shop and get some which was meant with a laugh. This situation could’ve so easily been turned around into a positive win but sadly was met with indifference. Little things like asking for extra sauce with a courgette fries which didn’t show up. Before I send too much like a Karen, I’m going to stop but just to say as a destination venue it lacks the finesse and sharpness expected of this establishment.

Extremely disappointing experience on 1st Feb. My sister‑in‑law called at 1pm to confirm whether a vegetarian afternoon tea without egg was possible, and we were told yes. The receptionist also confirmed this when we arrived but there was a 30-minute wait which we agreed to. Our waiter, Joel, was disinterested from the start. Even after I told him twice that I am vegetarian and do not eat egg, he still brought out an afternoon tea where every item contained egg, including the nibbles we ordered earlier while waiting. He didn’t even know about the vanilla turmeric on the menu until I showed him he looked at us as if we were aliens, and he rushed away from our table every time. When we raised the issue, the situation became worse. We were then approached by Natalie, who made us feel as if we were lying. She even questioned what time we supposedly called. The staff were defensive, blamed the chef, rude, and completely lacking empathy. We were spoken to with comments like “What would you want?” and “What are you trying to say?” completely unprofessional and insulting. We couldn’t stay any longer. The nibbles were only half‑eaten, especially after realising they contained egg. I only managed a few sips of my tea, and my sister‑in‑law didn’t drink hers at all. Joel even removed the full afternoon tea tray while we were still sitting there, which felt extremely rude, you clear food when a customer has left, not mid‑conversation. A basic level of empathy or an attempt to offer an alternative would have gone a long way. The whole experience left us feeling unwelcome and judged. As Indian customers, the treatment was especially hurtful. We will not be returning and hope no one else experiences what we did.

My sister and her husband took us here for Sunday lunch. The place is very stylish and the staff were friendly. It was very busy and bustling. We ordered starters which came fairly quickly and were nice, then we had a considerable wait for our main courses, we chased them up and they arrived soon after. We had ordered 3 roast beef dinners, and one Moroccan chicken. We received 3 roast chicken dinners and the Moroccan chicken. When we complained, the staff blamed the kitchen. Shortly after 3 roast beef dinners appeared. We had ordered extra gravy with the roast dinners, so we got a small container each with about a tablespoon of gravy in each. The meals were only just warm, the yorkshire puddings were clearly not homemade and the beef was only just edible. They knocked the price of one roast off the bill, but still charged £18 service charge. The food is expensive, and the quality is very poor. It spoiled what should have been a lovely experience at a high end restaurant chain.

Visited for an afternoon lunch in order to use a Birthday voucher. Was running a bit late so phoned but could not speak to anyone just an automated system which gave you no acknowledgement? Parking in Marlow appeared to be somewhat of a challenge and it took about 30 mins to find a space. The venue had a nice feel about it and atmosphere was fine. We were seated at the rear covered garden area with the hottest wall heaters going so had to ask for them to be turned down. I had to chase up my drink order as there was no sign of it after 15 mins? Service was slow especially waiting for the main course which was about an hour. The staff didn't appear attentive or interested and didn't check if everything was OK with our dining experience. The Sunday Roast beef had lots of fat on it but the rest of the dish was nice and portion size was fine. Discretionary 12.5% service charge should not be automatically added to the bill! Based on this we would not recommend The Ivy Marlòw and it certainly isn't a value for money that's for sure.
