Great food loved the tapas everything booked perfectly full of flavour the Gambas the patata bravas the croquettes and chorizo Al vino really spot on what a tapas and staff are lovely great place for a bite to eat.

Myself and my fiancé had the taster menu with the wine flight yesterday evening. Our table wasn't ready even though it was pre-booked, but we waited around 20 minutes before being seated. Not a fabulous start, but easily made up for that after. The food was really good, it was a well thought out menu, the wine was amazing and the service from our waiter (Huma) was top-notch. She was lovely! Very knowledgeable on the different wines and their histories and flavours. Our table was kept tidy as she'd regularly come over to clear the wine glasses when we'd finished our drinks and ask how everything was. It was an expensive treat for my partner but as taster menus go in the city centre this was reasonably priced. We'd love to come back with friends. ✨

What a fantastic tapas restaurant. We’ve been coming here for years when visiting the city centre, and this was our first visit with our boys aged 3 and 4. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is fantastic, and the portions are generous for tapas. The 3 dishes for £19.95 is very reasonable. Don’t miss out on this wonderful small independent that has truly stood the test of time. Tucked just off King Street, the tapas is authentic, flavourful, and consistently excellent. Would always recommend La Bandera.

Incredible Spanish cuisine. Loved the Mar y Montaña paella and white Sangria was spectacular! Perfect dessert options to choose from. Lovely service, very warm and friendly people. 10 out of 10. Can't recommend enough! ¡Muchas gracias!

Came here on Valentine’s Day for a bottomless brunch and I couldn’t say a bad word about this place. The customer service was amazing always made sure we made the most of our limited time, the food was amazing. Their mango spritz is delicious would definitely recommend

My husband and I came in for the January 50% deal and the food has blown me away. Great atmosphere, staff were amazing. Yasmin was fantastic, knew the menu off the back of her hand, great recommendations when we were being indecisive. 10/10! We’ll be back!

Great experience! I have both milk allergy and celiac disease - both are no problem. Order an amazing paaea. The waiter was really nice as well - recommended some great dishes for my non-allergic friends.

we went for dinner at la bandera and had a lovely time! our waitress poppy was so attentive and gave us some great advice. her knowledge of the menu was extensive and allowed for us to enjoy a range of delicious tapas! the food and drinks were well presented and the wine poppy recommended suited our dishes perfectly. overall out experience was very enjoyable at la bandera and we would come back again soon

Excellent service, staff always smile and polite. They care for your feelings and comments on their food and service. Tapas amazingly prepared, squid, meatball, grilled pepper, Canarian king prawns … … all incredible. We are certain level naive of Spanish cuisine but it truly gives us a chance to learn about. Fruitful experience.

We ate here for 2nd time in 2 months. This place has a great vibe. Staff very professional and friendly. Food sensational quality. Drinks v good. We had the misfortune of sitting next to 3 screeching ‘ladies’. Their voices would cut through plate glass: their partners faces said it all. Thats the only reason i didn't put 5 on atmosphere. Restaurant was flawless: value for money is amazing. I have eaten at La Tast and El gato negro: this was better than both and less costly by far. Genuine family business and it shows.

I had an absolutely unforgettable experience at La Bandera on Saturday 20th December. From the moment we arrived, everything was spot on; the food was outstanding and the service truly superb. Our waitress, Humna, was fantastic: incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and brilliant at guiding both me and my partner through the menu to help us choose the perfect dishes. Every plate was packed with flavour, and the portions were impressively generous. We both opted for the bottomless brunch, and it was exceptional value for money with exceptional service. La Bandera is a real gem, and we’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommended Thank you ever so much for a wonderful time.

Fantastic little fun. Very friendly atmosphere, staff were outstanding, walked us the rough the menu and provided us with recommendations. Joe, Yasmin and Maian were all brilliant with service. All our drinks were kept topped up, food was fantastic and tasty. It all came out piping hot and quickly. The pig cheeks and Prawns were brilliant. We will definitely be coming back.

La Bandera means Flag and this restaurant serves the best and authentic Spanish food. We were a group of 11 ladies who decided to try some Spanish food with Sangria. The Sangria looked very unusual to us, but oh boy! We ordered 4 litres in total as we loved it so much. The Mimosa was also tasty. Now let's talk about the food. This is all we tried : Croquetas del Dia - Homemade award winning croquettes – squid ink and ham Berenjenas Gratinadas - Baked layers of aubergine in a rich tomato sauce and cheese Potatoes bravas – fried potato cubes served with Aioli and brava sauce Champinones rellenos con Pisto - Stuffed mushrooms with a Spanish ratatouille and cheese gratin Pulpo en dos Coccipnes - Twice cooked octopus served on a bed of Spanish paprika mash, topped with mojo rojo Calamares - Fried squid strips in batter with citric Aioli Polo Al Salmorejo– Chicken strips cooked in a red pepper based traditional canarian sauce, topped with almond flakes Lubina Embarada - Skin on sea-bass fillets cooked in a Canarian mix of spices, onions, peppers, olive oil and vinegar De Marisci en su Tinta - Mixed shellfish with king prawns, octopus and squid served black Churros con chocolate Pimentos del Padron - Traditional Spanish fried peppers served with red wine infused salt Pollo Fuerteventura - From the white beaches and winds of Fuerteventura comes this chicken in a cream and pink pepper corn dish. The service was excellent. A big thanks to Nessa and Manmeet for their excellent service and also for the free rum shots in the end which was a surprise. Keep up the good work. Thanks to the barman who made the excellent drinks. We had booked online as we were a big group and the process was hassle free.

Delicious food, croquettes were a real surprise. Timing of the food was nicely staged. I ordered slightly too much, but it was worth it. Even the boiled potatoes that I accidentally ordered tasted great, and I don't normally like them! Was too full to try dessert, but I'd definitely go back again.

Great food and fantastic service. We went to a tasting experience. Seven tapas size courses with a different wine with each dish. Each dish was fully explained and why each wine complemented that dish. Great experience, would highly recommend.

The food was excellent. One of the better tapas bars in Manchester. Shomo gave fantastic and attentive service. All in all a fantastic meal.

We went on a Wednesday for the pre theatre menu - 5 tapas and 2 drinks. The staff were welcoming and helpful, a lovely atmosphere and amazing food as well as excellent value. We can’t wait to go back.

First time visitor but already looking forward to coming again. Food was really tasty and service was friendly. My wife got an opportunity to practise her Spanish as well. Everything we ate was delicious but I most enjoyed the pig cheeks and the baked aubergine.

Poppy was amazing! We had our work Christmas party at La Bandera and she was so on the ball, friendly, polite, hospitable and lovely throughout. Food was delicious, drinks were too. A great spot!

Had a very good Tapas lunch today. Served by Brook who was excellent and recommended the ‘funky’ Estrella! Hope to visit again but maybe out of the draughty next time.

A very authentic restaurant, bringing Spanish and Canarian cuisine to Manchester. It's such a pleasure to enjoy typical food from the Canary Islands being so far away from home. Quality and service is amazing.

The food was authentic and delicious! It was amazing for the price as it all was half price. We enjoyed every dish and will be dining there again and definitely will be using first tables again.

Ultimately, the food was great. No major complaints or concerns. The paella had good taste and flavour. There were plenty of squid in the paella itself but noting that it costed £42, that was expected. It didn’t have the socarrat (crispy rice bottom) I enjoyed and the prawns used were not fresh at all. The prawns had a GOOEY and MUSHY texture, so we had to put it aside. The other Tapas options were also pretty good. Though I did have great expectations for the pulpo (octopus), but it just ended up tasting like boiled potatoes with some octopus on top.

First time visit booked using First Table app for 50% off the tapas menu, great value and delicious food. Clean restaurant, modern furnishings, shame about the wobbly table and no jug of water as requested. Service slightly slow but overall would definitely return 👌🏻 pictured is the Spanish omelette and fish platter.

Lovely range of tapas on offer. Enjoyed all the dishes, especially the patatas bravas, goats cheese and aubergine dishes. Sit away from the entry door as the draught is annoying.

The food was nice and the setting cosy, but the place seemed understaffed. The waitress was clearly busy, and it was difficult to get her attention when we finished. Even after asking for the bill, we waited around 30 minutes for it and the card machine to arrive. The 12.5% service charge felt a bit high given the level of service.

Food is tasty. Menu has wide range of variety. Staff is smiley. Price is ok. Only I don’t like restroom condition. It was mesy, no paper, garbage out of bin.

Decent enough - I’ve eaten in a lot of Spanish restaurants so have some good comparisons. Chef a bit salt happy, which was a shame - we all agreed on this. It spoiled the taste of some dishes. Friendly and welcoming service. We had an enjoyable evening.

This is my third time here and I always enjoyed the food at La Bandera. Unfortunately tonight when I called the restaurant the male person answered the phone and said there is no tables at all tonight and that they are fully booked. I have looked online and booked table half an hour later. The restaurant had a lot of empty tables. The food tasted good, I have tried better tapa/Spanish restaurants. The portion for the special almond cake was also quite disappointing as you can see from the photo, portion was very small.

My family and I ate here a few days ago. We had been really looking forward to our meal. Sadly. the overall experience was somewhat deflating. Most of the food was either over seasoned, over cooked or simply bland. The most disappointing item ordered was the Mixta cheese & cured meats. I was expecting the "highest grade Iberian cured meat" however, what was served could have been sourced from M & S for a fraction of the price (and probably tasted better). I'd like to say that their saving grace was the service, but alas this wasn't too flash either. Two of our dishes were mistakenly served to the wrong table (Yes I did notice, and they given for free to this table). After a delay our dishes arrived, but were both overcooked....yes quite annoying. One of the wait staff also tried to clear the glassware mid meal. Yes, a little strange as one of the wine glasses was half full, plus we were only half way through what dishes we had ordered. The offending staff member then placed different dirty glasses from a different table?? We did like the decor though, the blue leatherette booths were very stylish.
