The place was a nice chic interior design with the lovely aroma of homemade pizza. The new pizza was gorgeous along with the Mac & cheese. The drinks were tasty and had a brownie for dessert. Good choice. The food came fairly quickly but perfect. Thank you so much for my first experience.
Had a really lovely lunch, the roast potatoes are delicious and moreish and the pizza was really, really good. Had to try the tiramisu and was not disappointed 😋. Also had to try a scoop of the salted caramel ice cream which was also delicious. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Manchester 👏 👏👏
Purezza is a vegan/plant-based Italian restaurant which started in Brighton and has locations in London as well as Manchester. When visiting Manchester I had to try it again and I was not disappointed. We came with some non-vegan friends who were very impressed with every dish we ordered! First we had the Hot Agave Pizza which was just fantastic. The spicy/sweet combination is one of my favourite on pizzas and was delivered perfectly. The base is sourdough and makes for a fantastic crust. Next we had the meatball dish in tomato sauce. The meatballs were fantastic! And worked perfectly in the tomato sauce. We also tried the garlic potatoes which were topped with the vegan cheese. They were cooked very well and a great balance of cheese and garlic flavour. As a side we had the Garlic Sourdough which was very unusual for me. I don't usually enjoy vegan cheese at all but even with such a large amount on this dish I still thoroughly enjoyed it! The cheese here is the best and the garlic was topped with some agave to give it a sweet tang, worked brilliantly. Lastly I had the Tiramasu. This is my favourite dessert and this rendition was amazing; thick, creamy and served in a decadent portion. I would have to order this any time I visit going forward! Overall our group really enjoyed this meal. I would definitely advise you give it a visit if you are in the area 😊
Joey was fabulous! I had an foodgasm here 😍😍 Chocolate brownie with chocolate orange ice cream was unreal. My black truffle pizza was fantastic and my partners parmigiana was lovely too, we traded pieces 🍕 They have amazing mocktails too! I’ve tried everything on the menu over the last few years. Love their tiramisu and cheesecake. Highly recommended!
5 stars doesn't feel enough. The restaurant is spacious with lovely earthy atmosphere. It was very welcoming environment made more so by the very friendly staff. The food was reasonably priced and offered a great variety. I wanted to try it all. The mac and cheese with faux panchetta was amazing. The pizza dough had great texture and flavour. The standout however had to be the dessert. I truly heavenly experience. I couldn't not believe the tiramissu and cheesecake were vegan. They were incredible from presentation to taste. Thank you for a truly lovely meal if you see this post. We don't live near but when we do we will be going here again!
Never tried this place till now as veggie friend was over from Liverpool. Was not dissappointed. Prossecco arrived with lovely floral garnish and very soon after came our food. Very attentive staff and knowledgeable of all dishes. Food was excellent quality and enjoyed my first vegan tiramisu. Very highly recommended.
We visited without making a reservation. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. We were warned there would be a long wait though to be fairer service was much faster than we had expected. There was a great choice, indeed it was difficult to choose. Our food was delicious and would have been well worth a longer wait. We would absolutely return.
Lovely restaurant, waiter was very friendly, attentive and knowledgable on food allergies/intolerances. Great variety of choices on the menu. Good for gluten and dairy free diners. Mac & cheese was delicious. GF pizza base was really good. Soft and doughy, not hard like a lot of GF bases. Cheesecake was exceptional (the waiter kindly offered a piece to take away). Unfortunately they had not received a delivery so I couldn’t order the pizza I wanted, but was still pleased with the other options. Paying the bill via the app does charge customers 49p. Unsure why this is. Feels very impersonal. I like to thank the waiter and offer a tip directly. You can pay directly with the waiter to avoid this 49p charge. There is also a service charge added to the bill. Overall would recommend and would like to return.
Delicious lunchtime meal deal, had the mushroom pizza and the mac and cheese, really good. Service was great, I had Beth and she took great care of me. Restaurant is really nice inside and has a cool downstairs area for hire, would definitely go back to try more things on the menu! I’d recommend to both vegans and non vegans!
I’ve been dying to visit since finding out it’s completely plant-based, so we finally came for lunch! We were greeted and served by a lovely lady with red hair. We ordered an apple juice, cappuccino and lavender lemonade for drinks, dough balls and mac and cheese for sides to share, as well as a BBQ bourbon pizza (without the kimchi) to share too. The drinks were refreshing and the pizza tasted A-MA-ZING!!! The person with me felt that the sides both had a bit too much cheese on/in them whereas I felt that the cheese on/in them was a bit too creamy. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Had to nip to the bathroom at one point and was pleasantly surprised by just how clean they are. Overall, I’m so glad we came and will definitely be back in the future! :)
I had a fantastic meal here! It’s been so long since I, as a vegan, have had a truly great pizza. The four cheese pizza was awesome!! I also got the lavender spritz, which was exactly what I needed after a long day of walking in the heat. I ended it all with a salted caramel brownie, which was wonderful. Jess, my server, was quick and friendly and answered all of my questions. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!
Always nice to pop in, been coming for about 3 years and never left disappointed. Great gluten free options, as well as non-alcoholic drinks
The best vegan pizza I’ve ever had, wow. And the tiramisu was incredible as well. The staff was so lovely too, thank you for making us feel welcome!
Absolutely incredible! I’m vegan and I took my meat eater boyfriend here. He loved it so much! He’s also a picky eater and this place was so accommodating and he loved every bit of it! The service was so nice, I was served by a lovely blonde woman who made sure everything was great!
The food was so lovely and the staff were so friendly. Ben especially was incredible - so lovely and funny! Really great experience, thank you!
Probably the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. If you’re on the fence: just DO IT and thank me later!! Gorgeous vegan cheese. Super-chill staff. A lush atmosphere with lots of greenery inside. Enormous sizes too, so you can get takeaway for the leftovers, and my God let me tell you this stuff was just as good IF NOT BETTER the next day eaten cold!
Wonderful fully plant based menu - I am usually limited to very few choices when eating out, so it's so nice to have a full and varied menu to choose from. The lunch time deal is good value, and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. Service was also very prompt and friendly (thank you Beth!). UPDATE: Visited here for dinner this time on a Friday night recently and was impressed again. We did have quite a long wait for drinks and food, but without even being asked the staff came to explain and even took the drinks and dessert off the bill which was such a nice gesture. The food was delicious again (highly recommended the Parmigiana Party pizza and the cheesecake for dessert) and the service was excellent. I'm looking forward to hopefully visiting again soon!
I have visited Purezza multiple times and most times the service has been impeccable and the quality of food is always excellent. I will return to the restaurant time and time again as it’s always a lovely atmosphere and delicious vegan food!
Lovely food, lovely variety of flavours on the pizzas and very friendly service! The spritz drinks are also very yummy. Everything is vegan/plant-based, which is also great.
What a lovely evening! The food was amazing, very tasty and delicious. The staff were really helpful, looked after us and our dog so perfectly. Very attentive and friendly, shout out to Justin who made our evening very enjoyable! Thank you for the great food and service. Also music was mint! A very nice surprise to for my brother as it was his birthday!!! Great visit thank you!
Lasagna. Pizza. This was borderline deviant. Look at it. This single-handedly made my week better. My life. I dont know which Devine entity they have working in that kitchen, who came up with this, but please give them a raise. Vegan. Lasagna. Pizza. It almost made me cry. I had to give my cat a taste, I don’t think any being should go their life without eating this lasagna pizza. Please. Never. Remove. It. From. The. Menu. I’m being so serious it’s the nicest pizza I’ve ever had. If you’re reading this. Order the lasagna pizza.
The best vegan pizza I have ever tried! Never been to a purely vegan pizzeria before, but it was an experience to repeat very soon. Amazing dough, rich flavours, combinations of ingredients working perfectly well together. Truffle pizza with mushrooms an absolute top👌
Always a lovely time at Purezza, and they do the best vegan pizza, mac and cheese and cocktails! Special shout out to manager Ellie who is always so kind and accommodating, along with all her team. Massive shout out to Wilson too who always goes the extra mile.
Went for an anniversary meal with my mrs and it was bloomin lovely I tell ya. I’m only a veggie and this was by far the BEST meal of my life. There was a lovely atmosphere with pretty plants, relaxing vibes and some nice tunes. Our server Klaudia was so kind, funny and made sure we had everything we needed (and had v cool hair). I love that the toilets are gender neutral and clean. Also - if you’re wondering what we got - it was the mac and cheese, parmigiana, black truffle pizza and the cheesecake and the cheapest (let’s not talk about it) bottle of white wine which was delish! Well done Purezza, we will be back!!!
First time visit with my partner and daughter. Will definitely come back again. The pizzas were fabulous and my daughter especially liked the dough balls. Service was great.
The pizza dough is very tasty and baked to perfection. I love the authentic neopolitan crust and char. I really like that the entire menu is vegan. The staff are so wonderful and friendly!
Best vegan pizzas in manchester, hands down. They don’t just rely on the dough, so you’ll find a reasonable amount of toppings on your pizza, unlike the cathedral of dough worshipping places we’ve all been to! 😉 Great choice of dough and toppings, plus some tempting starters / sides, and it’s all vegan! Ambience is kinda casual dining, not exactly up market but also not the bohemian style you find elsewhere in the NQ. Definitely worth a try
We love Purezza. They’re amazing, amazing food, lovely people. Also, they were really good to us when we needed help. We were homeless because of a fire and apartment hunting in Manchester and the management were very considerate. We have never forgotten. Thank you Purezza!
The food was lovely, the staff seemed pleasant. But I fear applying a compulsory service charge is too much, and the gluten free products had an upcharge. I understand gluten free products may be more expensive to aquire, but for those of us with allergies it seems rather unfair, especially when other allergies are catered to without any extra fees.
Really nice food and a nice all round experience. Would recommend. Wife loved it. The prices are fair for the food but drinks and hidden extras are overpriced. I marked it down a star for this reason and this would probably put me off visiting again. Staff were nice and friendly. My feedback to the restaurant would be: the drink prices, £3.50 for a 200ml bottle of coke is unfair. The sizes are not listed on the menu so you don't know until it arrives, to me it seems overpriced and dishonest to charge so much for a drink for such a small serving (especially when you don't list the size), as we got 2, it essentially cost us £7 for less than a pint of coke which is one of the highest markups I've seen in a restaurant. The "discretionary" service charge which you have to ask to remove (which is embarrassing) if you don't want to pay it (I just paid it), then been asked to leave a tip (a service charge and a tip, are they not the same thing), and then being charged a service fee (and saying its so we can offer a seamless paying experience) for using a card but you don't accept cash. I don't mind paying these things but I'd rather have the option to leave a cash tip without having to discuss the service charge. These little extras just felt like you were trying to squeeze that extra little bit of money out of the customer and that would put me off going again.
(Visited Aug 2025) I came here with a couple of friends to make the most of a First Table offer: £6 between us to get 50% off full size pizzas. I chose the Four Cheese with a side of Meatballs: very filling! -- (Visited May 2024) My go-to place for plant-based pizza: this time around, I went for the Four Seasons (I think!) 15% student discount even on a Friday was a nice bonus. Our server- Knushi- offered warm service. -- (Visited Oct 2023) I found Purezza on First Table and so booked a table for two. We got 50% off full-size pizzas- a fantastic discount! My choice was the BBQ Bourbon: delectable! It only seemed right to finish with a brownie (pictured) which made for a pleasing, chocolatey treat. The ambience of the restaurant was cosy and romantic, with plenty of greenery. Our server was particularly friendly and supportive in all of our culinary choices. (Visited Nov 2021) We came here based on a recommendation as one of our party is vegan- after looking at the menu though, I was excited to visit! I went for The One With The Truffle (NB: I think ‘Friends’ is one of the lamest, most dated shows ever, so the titles of the pizzas get a no from me): other than the mozzarella alternative, it was hard to tell it was a plant-based meal. I enjoyed the pulled porketta but wished there was a bit more given it was the most expensive pizza. Everyone else rated theirs too- my friend described The One That’s Telling Porkies as ‘very delicious’. It’s just a shame they had run out of Courgetti Spaghetti as our vegan pal decided on that long before we came! I was going to get some gelato, but the flavours persuaded me otherwise. The restaurant interior has a pleasant, rustic sort of feel to it, and service was good. As a meat-lover, I wouldn’t insist on coming here again, but there are definitely one or two other flavours I’d like to try if we returned.
The food is great and it’s nice to support a vegan company, however, I really didn’t like the automatic 12.5% service charge that you can only remove by asking the server. They also try to get payment via a web link and there is another 49p charge for that. Although the food tasted great, that left a bit of a bitter taste.
I have been here with my family on holiday from Italy, we ordered pizza and Caesar salad and pizza. 4 points to the food because pizza was good and tasty, but not that hot as I'd expect. In addition the salad was good but not that special to reach 5 stars. This place is quite relaxing and enjoiable if you want to eat well in a relaxed environment.
I’m usually a big fan of Purezza and visit the London locations often, so I was really looking forward to trying the Manchester branch. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to my previous experiences. We went as a group of four and ordered one pizza and two starters, but ended up waiting over 35 minutes for the food. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time, so the delay was surprising. When the pizza finally arrived, it was only tepid rather than properly hot, which was disappointing. It was also noticeable that staff were lingering around, yet service still felt slow and uncoordinated. I’ll still continue to support the brand as I’ve had great experiences elsewhere, but sadly this particular visit didn’t reflect the standard I’ve come to expect.
Delicious vegan pizza. Although the Mac and cheese was a miss. The atmosphere was good enough. It is smack bang in the middle of the Northern Quarter. One think that irked me was the fact that an 'optional' service charge was added to the bill. I hate places that do this. To make things worse the waiter presented the card machine to pay and left the tip page on and asked me to tap on through. They basically attempted to add a tip onto a service charge. I know I've ranted, but things like this mean I will never go back, and it is my overriding memory of the place, not the food. Edit: Thanks for your reply. I also forgot to mention that the restaurant is cashless. When you pay using their preferred app, they add a 49p charge. The barefaced cheek. I obviously refused to pay this and asked to use the card machine instead, which no staff member had offered. Even so, it’s still cashless. Overall, it wouldn’t matter if the pizza was the best in the world. I’d still leave feeling like the restaurant was trying to scam me.
In terms of atmosphere, it’s quiet and spacious enough to have big (5+ people) and small (2 people) groups as tables are far apart, keeping in mind it’s a pet friendly place too. However, food is disappointing. Flavour is subjective so I’ll comment on oil only. It’s extremely oily, the pesto plate in picture was drenched in oil let alone the aubergine parmigiana. And btw i was vegan for 8 years before. Went there for a friend’s birthday but won’t go again. Friends (5+) ordered pizzas and a few said they tasted like just pure tomato sauce some said they are excellent - polarised reviews. Judging from the pricing and its long lasting positioning in Manchester nq, it must fall into certain demographics taste buds; just not for me maybe. Second picture shows the amount of oil and actually, i have drained half to cook other stuff when i went home Take a pinch of salt of a my review but here you go. What I ordered is £25+ with service charge as they ask you to use a QR code to scan so you are obliged to pay for admin fee for that qr platform.
I've been here several times and love the food, but this time will be the last. I got my bank card out and asked to pay by card. I was brought a QR code and told I had to use this. Only when you get to the final checkout stage, does a platform fee of 49p get applied. These fees should be advertised with the QR code which is given to customers and they should be offered an alternative way to pay, for example by card machine. It feels very misleading and a bit like I've been scammed. Granted it only 49p, but the service charge also gets added and then you're also asked to add a tip, it's money grabbing. I won't be coming back here. Eating out is already really expensive, there's no needed for hidden fees.
Food was good however the service was shocking. We came in at 9 and the restaurant was fairly quiet, ate our food then asked for the bill and waited 10 minutes to which the waitress never returned. When she did she just handed us a piece of paper with a qr code. Wasted 10m of our time for nothing.
I was really looking forward to trying this Pistachio pizza, but I was so disappointed when it arrived. It was extremely small — much smaller than what I expected based on the pictures on instagram and the price 16£ !! - and even the taste wasn’t that good. I felt quite let down and honestly a bit misled.
Went to Purreza for Valentine’s Day and wow.. the customer service was AWFUL! I don’t know how the waiters got hired. Took 40 minutes to get the starter and then another 40 mins to get the main meal. Ridiculous. Staff is just a bunch of unprofessional workers. Ignoring customers on purpose. If you’re lazy to deliver good customer service then find another job? The only good thing was the food. The chefs are very good. But definitely not coming back.
