Spent NYE here. The atmosphere in this place is divine, the staff are so professional and friendnly. The cocktails were sooo good, bespoke and delicious. And the entertainment, I was on my feet dancing all night. It wasnt over crowded or over priced, especially for NYE, it was the best night out Ive had in a long time

Sophia the waitress is next to none she was the most kind, accommodating fantastic host absolute 11/10 to her what a credit to your bar first time coming as visiting Manchester for a city break and she went above and beyond to make my birthday night special what an angel. She is a treasure and will recommend this bar to everyone due to her fantastic service, many thanks, Alex

What a location. Quality bar hidden through a barber shop. The whole branding is on point. The bar area is unreal and cocktails are first class. Live bands and DJ area overall just is the finishing touches. Fell in love with the place the very first night I went there. Top vibes and atmosphere is great. Make sure you experience this!!

If you want a good night out, live music and a dance, this is the place to be. The band was amazing, and the DJ played songs that had everyone on their feet. Thursday nights! 👌🏾

Such a great night! Our waitress gracie was fantastic! So full of joy and so helpful! I would completely recommended. On the pricier side but so worth it!

Amazing atmosphere, staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, found us a table for my partners birthday and we stayed all night long, even celebrated freedom day. Keep up the good work guys, we will be back

5 stars for Fabreetz tonight for connecting me to the wifi, turning strobe lights off so I could see the r guest speaker without being blinded, and made sure I got first dibs on the vegetarian pizzas!

This Venue is amazing!! What a Band, what service - Natalia was amazing- a credit to the venue! The security staff were welcoming and we were met by a Karl who was professional, fun and showed us to our table. Diana was also a credit to the venue. Loved our time here! We didn't have food so didn't rate.

The best night ever!!! What a vibe!!! The music and ambience was just exceptional. 2000s RnB at its best but with a very modern feel. Thanks Fab for the best service. We will definitely be back. :)

Really enjoyed our visit. Group of 8 so pre booking and £96 entry fee which was good value considering the venue. Almost a speakeasy you enter via a cool hairdressing salon to an underground room with live music stage. All acts were great, excellent service wine and cocktails. Will be back!

Not what I expected at all. Came in Saturday such a lovely place everything looks really high end. Staff are really lovely asked one of them for some info sure her name was Alisha? She was really helpful. I enjoyed my night there and would definitely go again. It was busy but again that didn’t affect service:)

Amazing and fun atmosphere. The music was beyond good. And the servers were attentive and kind. Thank you for making my Brittany’s that little bit more exceptional. Coming back soon 👀

Received a warm greeting. Service with a smile. Great music 🎶 from the live band and DJ.

The live singer wasn’t amazing, but the female vocalist had a really good voice. That said, the band felt more like a regular cover band than a true jazz group. We expected a sit-down bar with table service and a proper cocktail menu, but instead it turned out to be more of a lively club scene — people were dancing around our table, constantly bumping into us and even putting their drinks down on our table. If you’re after a night out and a party vibe, it’s a great spot. But if you’re looking for a relaxed cocktail evening, this isn’t the place. They also seem quite selective at the door — they mostly let in girls and older men, while groups of guys were being turned away. One of the bouncers was unnecessarily aggressive, although the other three were fine. Still, the door policy felt biased, and even with a booking, we had to wait ages to get in. You’d think these bouncers were guarding Starmer with the way they are.

We have booked a table for 2 people almost month ago, when we arrived the table was not ready so we have ordered drinks in bar area, after 25 minutes nobody showed up so my husband asked the staff members about our reservation, during this time about 20 people came and they been sitted. Finally, our table was ready and unfortunately we have been sited opposite DJ desk on the high stools, not comfortable when someone wearing the heels. Music was great and atmosphere as well. The most annoying was that the service was taking my glass each time before was empty, so 1/3 cocktail just gone without asking. It was high rated in google but in my opinion, the only good is music there. Little bit disappointing, we will not back there in the future.

Not my kind of place, but I'm not their target clientele. Gutted that I had to pay £10 pp just to get in, and then there was no seating as they where all reserved.

Good night out but had my new faux fur coat stolen from here on Saturday 20th December. Left my coat into the cloak room at the start of my night and when I went to collect it at the end it was gone and replaced with a horrible checked blazer on the hanger it had been left in on. It’s likely a staff member stole the coat as they replaced it with another on the hanger. The same girl I left the coat in with to begin was gone by the end of the night - the staff / bouncers were no help. I did contact the reservations email and Iain replied once asking me to describe the coat (even when I sent photos of it) and I haven’t received any reply since. I understand there’s probably not much that could have been done at that stage but it was a total inconvenience for me and not a great experience coming for a night out in Manchester just arriving from Australia. But maybe theft is to be expected in England? Probably need to pay your staff more if they’re resorting to stealing customer’s belongings 🤡

I've given one star for the good service from the servers /entertainment and one star for the drinks. I would have given more but the place is packed with groups off their faces and spoiling the atmosphere. The host at the door was friendly however if you have never been here before or are not a regular you will not be treated the same. I booked my table a month in advance and was placed on a tiny corner table on very uncomfortable bar stools. There were other couples/smaller groups of 2 that were given lovely seats. First time in Manchester and this looked like a place we had to visit.. won't be going again which is a shame. Two drinks were very lovely though but not enough to go back.

Was excited to come here as everyone has been talking about it, however not worth the hype. The live music was a low quality Motown to R&B performance and the live music to non-live music ratio was 70/30. Our drinks orders were incorrect twice and the staff seemed to not know what drinks were what. (The drinkers were nice) We were told to dress up, however the band and a fair few visitors were dressed very casually. Finally our booking 21:30 - 23:00 was short and even with us ordering regular rounds we were asked leave. They are focused on money over experience which is understandable on Deansgate. Our seat was also crammed in with little view of the band, I don’t think you’ll have much control over this but it was still giving the money over experience vibe.

AWFUL MANAGEMENT! me and my friend visited Manchester for a night out, our first time in Manchester. We paid £10 entry each to this bar, you go through to a closed off basement bar. Me and my friend ordered a drink, started taking pictures, it was so hot and stuffy in there. My friend started to feel faint (she hadn’t even had her first drink yet we was waiting for them and we only just arrived) and one of the kind staff helped her out to get some fresh air upstairs, and another kind staff member brought her a coke up. I was told I couldn’t bring the £15 each drinks up, therefore I kept them at the table and my friend text me to say she’s just having some coke for sugar and she’ll be down. However she had sat down and accidentally spilt some off the coke on the floor, my friend felt embarrassed and was extremely apologetic… however the rude arrogant manager who clearly has a vile personality or is just a lonely person, started having ago at her, even staff members were trying to help her, and he then said “ she can get out, she isn’t coming back in”, other staff were trying to explain and fight her corner. So when I got the text and came up I went to speak to him in which he responded, “nope she’s not coming in, this isn’t in my licensing”… how are you not embarrassed ? Imagine if someone was spiked, in danger, raped etc is that not in your licensing ? Do you not have a duty of care for your customers ? We caused no drama but a spilt drink that your staff were happy to clean up and were completely fine about. You should feel ashamed of yourself and I would never return to this bar despite your lovely staff and to top that off you never even gave me my £5 change. I wouldn’t even want to give your company 1p let alone £5. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Extremely rude door staff! Left stood in the rain while they checked our booking, rude host/man in charge, whilst getting taken to our booking staff falling out with staff over what tables are available, after all of that we got sat on a table literally in the middle of dance floor… getting bumped and knocked by everyone dancing and blasted by the speakers… left after 10 minutes. Whilst trying leave as there is no signal in the basment we attempted to book an uber in the lobby only to be met by the rude door men again asking if we are staying or going but to get out if we are going…. Poorly run establishment that needs some serious staff training.

We were treated like criminals - a terrible experience, I suggest you avoid this place at all costs. Staff added drinks to our bill and tried to intimidate us to pay. Visited this bar with some friends to celebrate a birthday. The night started fine, we initially had a good time. Things changed quickly when we were abruptly told ‘we need the table back, the next booking is here’ in a very rude manner. When the bill was brought to us, there were a number of drinks on there which we had not ordered. When we queried this, the staff just rudely told us ‘you need to pay now.’ Despite asking multiple times, no effort was made to check the bill and we were just repeatedly told we had to pay. A number of staff came to and from the table trying to force us to pay the bill. They then sent a bouncer down to our table who blocked us from leaving, seemingly to intimidate us further to force us to pay for drinks we had not ordered. We also asked for the manager multiple times and this request was refused. A supervisor looking member of staff told us in a cocky manner she would check the CCTV to confirm we had not had the drinks, which we encouraged her to do. She then came back and said she couldn’t check the CCTV until 3 days later - how convenient. After the bill was taken away and brought back multiple times, the disputed drinks disappeared and suddenly the bill was settled. This took over 25 minutes of back and forth. We finally got to speak to the manager when leaving who was very apologetic and assured us he would investigate the incident. Despite being accused of trying to run out on a bill, we made it clear to the manager that if that was our intention we wouldn’t still have been there trying to sort it out. The following week, after having to chase him up, the manager contacted us to confirm he had reviewed the CCTV and we had not ordered the drinks which were added to the bill. We were offered a return visit and a free round of cocktails. I will certainly not be returning to this bar, I would much rather spend my money somewhere which treats their customers with respect and queries are not met with intimidation.

Shocking and absolutely despicable experience as a disabled person at 186. Zero facilities. Zero care. Zero stars. Asked where i could sit down, as a disabled person, with obvious mobility issues but because I didn't pay to book a table - the answer was no. I was even moved off a chair (that I was told was unreserved), by management and security because again someone else paid to sit. Me and my walking stick subsequently left and will never return. Also when arriving I asked for a lift to get down to the bar as I didn’t realise it was downstairs and was told I’d have to exit the building walk up the road and round the side of the building so the ‘stairs would be easier’… maybe for abled bodied people yes. Either option is daunting and difficult. Chronic illness and pain is hard enough as it is without insensitive people and unequipped establishments making it even harder! I’m sure that accessibility is supposed to be standardised and a legal requirement in 2025: especially in places that claim to be upscale and elegant. I paid an entry fee to sit alone in the foyer, at the bottom of the stairs, as it was the only place I ‘was allowed to sit’. Looking like billy no mates and having to explain to every drunk passer by why I was sat there. It was not the best ad for your business. Shocking time. 巴岡

Would not go back The experience was ruined for me and my friends when a female supervisor knocked into me causing me to drop my drink on the floor. I politely asked for a replacement after it was cleaned up and she very rudely looked at me and told me I would have to pay. I said that it was her who knocked me, causing me to spill my drink and she denied it. She was extremely rude, blunt and ruined my night. My friends all saw her bump into me and were shocked at her poor attitude and handling of that situation. Especially for such a “fancy” expensive bar I would expect far better customer service - I genuinely had better service in Mcdonald’s today. That said, the other wait staff, Ethan and Chrissie in particular, were very lovely and the live music was good.

As soon as we came we went on the “wrong side of the door” on the left rather than the right even though both were roped off. So I said sorry I’ll go to the other side , a tall man in a silver chain and hood who was stood near the bouncers repetitively sucked his teeth at us and said we’re not coming in tonight and when we got to the other side and said what’s wrong the bouncers in ties who actually seemed like they worked for the club said sorry reservations only tonight then I said is it because he had that attitude towards us , he confirmed that we were right and said yeah sorry - obviously these are stirred by someone with higher status and as soon as I gave him (guy who didn’t work there) a bit of questioning he didn’t like it and we looked forward to having a nice night here and with live music for my 24th birthday and spending money at his business? So it’s a bit of a joke and I would not recommend this place or to any of my friends which we are born and bred in Manchester - including visiting friends , rude staff who care more about status of one person with an attitude than Manchester customers - disgraceful and not welcome in Manchester nightlife .

Recently visited this venue for what was supposed to be a great night and instead were completely ripped off. At the point of booking we were aware of the £50 minimum spend per person (the website also states parties of over 6 guests are subject to a minimum spend of £50pp). There were 7 of us - simple enough. But when we got there, staff suddenly demanded £58pp on arrival and told our group we had a total spend limit of £400. I’m not sure what kind of math they’re using, but it certainly isn’t the same as everyone else’s. If the minimum spend is £50pp and you’re charging £58pp, then where exactly does this £400 cap come from? None of it added up and when we questioned it to understand the logic, the staff were rude, dismissive and completely unhelpful. We ended up paying it because this part of our night was already planned and had been for some time, but the whole thing felt totally dishonest and deeply unprofessional. 186 - would you care to explain? Would not return and absolutely would not recommend.

Wrong bill came at the end of our visit. They had added a bottle of Prosecco and 4 cocktails which were not ours, manager wouldn’t let us leave until paid, and got security guards to come over. Manager escalated things way too far. Safe to say we left, didn’t pay what was not ours, and were told we’d have to pay once ‘they’d confirmed on cctv’. Not heard anything like it. Avoid at all costs. Much better bars to go out in Manchester.

Absolutely appalling door staff. Booked on the guest list but when we arrived proceeded to wait over 20 minutes in the cold. I then asked another bouncer how long it was going to be to which the other bouncer said “ if you ask again your not coming in” bearing in mind it’s £20 to enter and a minimum of £50 per person. To me, if you’ve gone to the effort of booking there should be no waiting outside. Poor management and the bouncers need reviewing. After waiting 30 minutes we decided to leave so didn’t get to see inside and will not be back.

Absolutely a joke of a venue. Apparently, you have to pay for a seat. I understand if it's a VIP, but a normal table and seat will have to be paid for. Secondly, the attitude towards disabled clubgoers is atrocious; I wouldn't be surprised if solicitors will be in contact with the venue in the not-too-distant future. The discrimination of others will need to be addressed thoroughly by management. Kicking disabled people out of seats is not the way to go.

Very disappointed in the welcoming when arrived. Rude staff and manager came out to state there wasnt any vacancies in the booking name. Oh really!! Showed email to then be informed we had to pay £10 to enter. No where did it state this. I ordered a bottle of wine from the bar which was handed to me unopened, handed it back for her to open and tempted to get a refund. Why hand customers bottle and not open it.No drinks means anywhere so no idea how much things were until ordered. Stayed a hour and half then left. I wont be visiting again.

m

Very disappointed!! After being charged £10pp for entry we would maybe have expected somewhere to sit! 1/2 of the seats were empty but couldn’t sit down as all reserved ( 1/2 still empty when we left) Found a corner to stand but asked to move as we were in the way! Basically don’t charge £10 entry fee if nowhere to sit or stand £82 for 1/2 hour visit… not the best start to the night!

I tried to go last week with a friend to meet our other friends who were inside, the bouncer said my friend couldn’t come in as he was wearing shorts. We completely understood and I walked my friend home and then went to go back to meet my friends. The bouncer wouldn’t let me in even though my friend had left and I was dressed appropriately in smart/ casual attire. I didn’t argue but then was left alone in the city centre waiting for an uber home, really disappointing to be left in an unsafe situation for no apparent reason.

L

Came here with my friends and I for my friends birthday and spent £20 each to get in. We were in for 10 minutes before a bouncer very roughly grabbed us all by the arm and literally DRAGGED us out. Apparently one of my friends stood on a girls foot so the bouncers took her side and kicked the whole group of us out. The bouncers were so so rude and wouldn’t even review the CCTV to view the other side of the story. Do not risk wasting your money.

K
Katie Smith

Absolutely distinguishing behaviour. Some poor girl had her foot trodden on and our group was blamed (we didn’t do anything the girl even confirmed this). The bouncers ganged up on us after we paid £20 each and kicked us out. They wouldn’t hear our side or spoke to girl they just looked for someone to blame. Would never ever go again, my friend left crying and the way they spoke to us was disguising. We asked them to check the CCTV and even asked the girl to come up stairs to identify us but they ignored every request. I have a law degree and am appalled by the way this venue treated us. Honestly never in my 35 years across London Manchester Liverpool Chester. Birmingham have I ever been in this situation

J
Jessica Berry

Wouldn’t come back here if somebody paid me to! My friend booked a table and because we were a few minutes late due to not being able to get a taxi and having to walk to the venue they had already given our table away and the door staff advised us they would have us seated within the next 15 minutes. Nobody came back to us to sit us at a table, I raised this with the manager who couldn’t care less and just walked away. We’d paid £40 deposit and was told this was just to get in to the venue per person. I went to Ibiza a few weeks ago and even there, the money we spent on a table we got back in drinks! The staff did not care about customer service whatsoever, they moved us away from where we stood and when we asked about our table we just got told to go back upstairs to the bouncers who had no clue about the table situation downstairs. Overall the most pretentious, money grabbing place I’ve ever been to in town and I will not be going back. The music was good but that is it, they also had a toilet attendant that was fast asleep sat down when I was went into the bathroom. Really really poor experience.

⸻ I recently had an extremely disappointing and discriminatory and Racist experience at this club. I was denied entry on the basis of wearing sports shoes, yet I witnessed several others in the queue wearing the same type of footwear being allowed inside. The only difference was that they were not asian and described as “friends,” while I, as a brown-skinned individual, was turned away with a false excuse. Its a complete RACIST behaviour. This kind of selective and racist treatment is unacceptable, especially in a multicultural city like Manchester. No one should face discrimination at the door of a venue based on skin colour or background. A place that enforces such biased policies should not be allowed to operate in the UK.

R

Avoid. A few years ago, this venue was so good. It used to feel exclusive and high-end, with brilliant music and live bands, amazing atmosphere and really attentive service. I used to tell all my friends about it. Fast forward to now and it's completely gone downhill which is so sad to see. It's overcrowded, the service is terrible, the music isn't what it used to be, and the whole vibe has changed. It no longer feels premium or special in any way. What made it even worse was how we were treated on a recent visit for my friend's 30th birthday. She accidentally bumped into a waitress in a busy area - something that can easily happen in such a packed venue - and the waitress then repeatedly accused my friend of hitting her in the face... which absolutely did not happen. It was an extremely serious and upsetting accusation to make about someone. Despite us trying to calmly explain the situation, we were asked to leave. We repeatedly asked for the waitresses name but staff refused to disclose which was unsurprising given that she had made such false accusations. It completely ruined what was meant to be a special celebration. Not the service you expect for a £400 minimum spend! Such a shame to see what was once a great venue deteriorate like this. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend!

Avoid at all costs. We paid £20 a week in advance to secure our “table,” yet when we arrived, a staff member named Jason was extremely rude, insisting we could not be let in and leaving us standing in the queue without explanation. The only helpful person at the entrance was the security guard, Ola, who treated us respectfully and assisted us to our seats. When the manager came to escort us, he repeatedly questioned why I asked for Jason’s name, even though I simply wanted it for an accurate review. We were then seated on stools in the middle of a crowded area where people were dancing, drinking, placing their drinks on our surface, and hanging their coats on our chairs. This was nothing like the experience we paid for. We expected a boujie setup with our own proper table… exactly what we believed the upfront payment was meant to secure. We ordered four rounds of drinks, and the servers were genuinely lovely, but the rude treatment at the beginning and the completely unsuitable seating ruined the entire atmosphere. The live band and singers were the highlight, but even they could not make up for the uncomfortable stools I kept slipping off or the chaotic environment we were placed in. For the amount of money spent, being seated on stools among a drunk crowd instead of at an actual table was unacceptable. The experience did not match what was advertised or what we paid for, and the unprofessional behavior from the initial staff made it even worse. I would not recommend this venue at all.

I’m really disappointed to be writing this because our previous visit here was completely fine, and the live band on the night was absolutely fantastic — genuinely talented, engaging, and the highlight of the entire evening. Unfortunately, everything else about our experience was extremely poor and left us feeling unwelcome and confused. We arrived without a booking, which we made clear right away. The staff told us that if they had late walk-ins or free tables, they would try to seat us. That was completely fine. We went downstairs, ordered drinks (which are definitely on the expensive side — around £19 for two single vodka lime sodas), but again, that’s not an issue. The problems started almost immediately with the customer service. When we politely asked for the Wi-Fi code, we were met with abrupt, dismissive “no” responses — not “it’s down,” not “I’m afraid we can’t give it out,” just a flat “no.” We asked a second staff member and got the same attitude. It felt unnecessarily rude, especially as we weren’t demanding anything; we were simply asking. Some people need Wi-Fi for safety reasons or to stay in contact with family, especially when planning to stay for several hours, so it wasn’t an unreasonable request. We then sat near the front with our drinks. The band started — again, they were brilliant — and we ordered more drinks, shots, and other items as the night went on. That’s when multiple staff members began telling us to move a seat, though no one could clearly explain where they wanted it moved to or why. The seat wasn’t blocking any walkway or causing any safety issue. We all currently work in hospitality, so we fully understand the importance of keeping areas clear, respecting staff requests, and being cooperative. We repeatedly asked, “Where would you like us to move it to?” but no one could give a clear instruction. Then, out of nowhere, we were told the manager wanted us to go upstairs — effectively escorting us out, with no explanation. We weren’t drunk, we weren’t causing any issues, and we’d been spending money consistently. The situation felt aggressive, confusing, and honestly quite humiliating. What made it worse is that there were empty seats and booths available throughout the evening. From a business perspective, it makes no sense to refuse paying customers a seat, especially when it wouldn’t have caused any operational problems. Even allowing us to sit for an hour while waiting for the next table would have been reasonable. Instead, the attitude from staff felt dismissive, abrupt, and completely unnecessary. In the end, what could have been a great night — thanks to the incredible band — turned into a genuinely unpleasant experience. It felt badly managed and inexplicably hostile, and we left feeling like we’d been treated with no respect at all. Such a shame, because the venue has so much potential. Unfortunately, until the customer service and general attitude improves, we won’t be returning

I have visited 186 quite a number of times right from its original creation and it was my favourite bar for Manchester. Since new ownership took over, the "new rules" are much better allowing more walk ins and standing at the bar, etc... vs before where you were thrown out after 90 minutes when your table booking finished. This annoyed a great deal of customers! However, my new complaint is its not really a full live music venue anymore. They are moving more and more away from a band/choir to basically running DJ's. If I wanted a DJ I'd go to any other bar. The reason I come here is to see live music not someone playing MP3's. Saturday 3rd January 26 was an appalling display with the live band promised at 7.30/8pm/8.30pm/9pm/9.30pm and finally they turned up at gone 10pm and did just 3 sets with 30 mins on and 30 mins off between. Hundreds of pounds spent plus an entrance fee. Its just not worth it now. On top of it all, the band were walking out up the stairs at the end of the 3 sets whilst the staff are telling new people coming in there is a live band on when they had finished at 12.30.... No end of other people I spoke to in the bar were complaining of the varying entrance fee's from £10 to £20 per person and the lack of band playing. The website says you pay a fee to guarantee a table yet they charge walk ins standing up? hmm! Now for the good again, I do have to say the band and the 2 female singers did a good job and the songs they played were good also BUT the cut back in play time is terrible and the lies the staff are making to customers to get them in the door is wrong! Service charges on drinks at the bar is cheeky. In fact service charge full stop shouldn't be charged on the price of the drinks in this place. Last time I knew Manchester was in the UK and not USA. I think the bar needs to go back and look at the basics. Its needs to advertise clearly what is on offer and times for the band. 30 mins on and 30 off always did annoy me. I personally think it should be 1 hour on and 30 mins off for the band playing at most. Also Public wifi in the bar is not available as they haven't paid the bill. Dont expect to get any mobile reception down there in the basement! Management need to pay attention to customer feedback and get this sorted but I doubt ill be returning again for a very long time so consider this a lost customer!

Staff: Nilton = Fabulous, attentive, lovely, friendly. Deanna = Shockingly rude. Prior to last week I was probably 186's biggest fan. Myself and my friend go often because the music is amazing. My friend goes more than me, 186 have her all over their social medias. We had such an amazing time in March that we decided to return for a double date this time. After leaving Louis, (which is insanely good, by the way) we got to our booked booth and ordered drinks. All was well until my friend stood up and had chewing gum all over his pants. It wasn't just a bit, it was so obvious we couldn't have gone anywhere else, he couldn't get up to dance (which is the point of this place) - he looked ridiculous. We tried to get it off with ice, but noticed the booth seat was covered with gum and so this was going to be a dry cleaning job. We politely raised it to the lovely Nilton who advised he would send a manager over. Deanna arrived, body language giving "fed up." When we explained the situation, she replied with "Well there's not much I can do about this now." To which I replied, "Is that the best that you can do, because honestly the pants are -" I didn't get to finish my sentence, because on repeat she snapped "WAS I FINISHED? WAS I FINISHED SPEAKING THOUGH? WAS. I. FINISHED?!" It very much appeared that she was finished because she stopped speaking. My tone was neutral, so I was stunned at her immediate aggression as it certainly didn't match the tone I was using. The 4 of us were in sat there in shock. We were in such a good mood from Louis (1 sober and 3 of us tipsy, but we had had a meal, so no one was wildly drunk) we merely raised the ruined pants and got told off. It tainted the evening so we thought we would drink the first and only round and leave. We asked for the bill and paid it immediately, drinking our round at a leisurely pace. The next thing we know, we are being hauled out! A double date of 4, dedicated, loyal customers (both pre and post fire by the way.) We couldn't believe it. When getting thrown out, we asked the staff why, to which one of them replied "I'm really sorry, I don't actually know why. Sorry about her." 'Her', I am assuming, was Deanna. We were in such shock that the £74 round of drinks were taken and we were ejected. I gave the wine to the booth next to us who saw the whole thing evolve and they even tried to speak to staff about it as well, but we just wanted to exit quietly at this point, as it was embarrassing enough. Nothing like this has happened to us before. It was so bizarre. At this point my partner (sober) was speaking to the manager outside who was very apologetic, and promised us a refund. Although I was doubtful, to their credit we did get a refund which I am thankful for, but no explanation as to why our night was put to an abrupt end? Let's be honest, you wouldn't give a refund 3 days later to a party who were in any way 'guilty' of anything, would you? The GM must have had an idea that this was unfair/unjust. Overall I am SO unbelievably gutted at how the night ended. There are many amazing qualities to this place, mostly the entertainment, but if you read this review and many others you'll see that there's customer service issues which let this place down - it isn't somewhere I would book for something special again, in case it is spoiled.

Hen party let down! I reserved a table here for my hen party on the Saturday night of a bank holiday weekend- booked well in advance (knowing it would be busy) only to receive a phone call 3 days before the event to say my booking was being cancelled and had been gazumped by a private function. The person on the phone didn’t even seem that bothered that it was my hen party and I was being let down at the last minute- quite upsetting to say the least. I would advise against booking here for special occasions or run the risk of being let down at short notice.

Don't waste your time, bouncers are moody. Threatened to batter us as we tried to get in wearing shorts (it had been 30 degrees all day)

Booked a long time in advance. Arrived at the door to be turned away. They don't honour bookings despite taking deposits. They informed the booking by voicemail and didn't follow up so we didn't know it was cancelled as she hadn't checked her voicemail. Very unhelpful and rude on the door. Do not book this place.

So disappointed, I would visit here regularly before it reopened and I loved it. We booked a table a few weeks ago accidentally for the wrong day it took LITERAL WEEKS to get in contact with anyone to rearrange. We paid £36 just for the privilege of entering and listening to the live music. Which would have been fine accept we were cramped round a tiny table on stools right in front of the stage where the sound quality was horrendous. I’m sure the performers were amazing but the sound quality was terrible. We left after one drink and won’t be returning.

management are nasty. hostile and very cold. shame as staff are friendly and music is fab however the rudeness severely outweighs any of the good!

Absolutely gutted about this place. We queued to get in, which we didn't mind, but then went to the bar where we patiently waited at the front for 30 minutes, only for everyone else to be served around us. I asked the bartender if we could get served next as we had waited so long and he smuggly replied 'let me think about that' and then served another group of young girls. His attitude ruined the night. Not here for arrogant bartenders - went to Sexy Fish and 20 Stories instead and had a much better evening. We won't be returning sadly.

Booked a table for six at One Eight Six Manchester and had a terrible experience. We arrived on time and were told by the bouncers to wait in the queue. After standing outside for 30 minutes, we finally got to the front—only to be told our booking had been cancelled. No apology, no explanation, just turned away without any accountability.
