Opinions de Antonino's Italian Restaurant Manhasset
Antonio’s Italian Restaurant was an incredible dine in experience. The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly! Would definitely recommend going, especially for the Chicken Bruschetta!
Delicious food, great atmosphere, service is very good and the pizza's are amazing. Would recomend trying the desserts as they are to die for. Would definitely return there.
This is family style southern Italian/American food and most of the dishes here are consistently solid. Prices are reasonably inexpensive but have been slowly increasing. Most entrees are served complete with a salad or pasta and in some cases a vegetable with prices ranging from a dinner of Chicken Parmigiana for $14.95 (pasta or salad included) to whole Branzino (or filet) for $26.95 (salad or pasta and a vegetable of your choice). Their Branzino is one of the most delicious renditions of the fish you will ever eat, cooked with a little light garlic in white wine, lemon, and capers. All their chicken dishes feature tender succulent chicken. The chicken scarpiello with sausage (it can be done with or without sausage and is served on the bone) is especially good as is the chicken contadina (sausage, potatoes, peppers). Chicken bruschetta is another huge winner here. You can also get pizzas, heros, soups, side dishes. One disappointment was that the chicken soup was loaded with potatoes and pasta. But the pastas can also be excellent. One pasta in particular that has been excellent is the lingine in white clam sauce which we specify to be done al dente. If you order a salad as a entree (which can be done) be for warned that they are extremely large and can easily be shared. Their Caesar salad is a real one as they use raw egg in the dressing and believe me it tastes better that way. As of today, May 16, 2016 they are offering a brand new seasonal summer additional special of soft shell crabs either francese style or fra diavolo. I had the francese version twice, the first time the crabs were delicious, tender, and succulent, but the second time, the shells were too hard and the crabs were not very tasty. Even at the reasonable price of $19.95, I cannot recommend this dish here, unfortunately. In addition, when I said something to the management about them the second time, no compensation was offered for my dissatisfaction which I found to be surprising treatment to me as not just a regular, but an extremely frequent customer of this establishment. Well, now they've taken the soft shell crabs off the menu and perhaps that is good thing.
Delicious food (lasagna last night) and quiet enough to have a conversation at the table. Perfect for a weeknight dinner. This was my second visit. Small parking lot though.
Absolutely some of the best NY style pizza. Antonino's is my favorite place within a 10 mile radius (top spot is ofcourse Pizza Suprema next to Penn Station in the city). Antonino's fried calamari with the marinara sauce is always on point as well. You won't be disappointed.
This is my favorite Italian restaurant. Their fettuccine alfredo is to die for, and their candy bar explosion cake is excellent. The staff is very friendly as well. My only qualm is the parking; their lot is way too small.
AMAZING service, INCREDIBLE FOOD! Highly recommend. Nothing at this restaurant is disappointing.everything is made fresh and tastes wonderful, best Italian Restaurant I’ve ever eaten at.
I got the cauliflower crust pizza and my son had the lobster ravioli. Fabulous dining experience
Family and I had eaten here for the first time and believe me it won’t be the last. Each entires were well prepared and had authentic taste. Very friendly service. I have recommended Antonino’s to many friends and families. Go out and eat at the Antonino’s, you will enjoy every bite.
Went there on a hot summer day. We were starving and obviously my aunt freshly landed from South Korea so it caught many people's eyes when we entered (before COVID). We ate every single drop of food. Pastas, pizzas/pies were all delicious especially with the homemade cheese. We pass the area so don't go there as much, but will try sometime. It will be different without my families though.
The sauce here is fantastic. Lunch special was wonderful with a very fair price. Terrific service. Very cozy place. One of our new favorites
One of our favorite Italian restaurants in New York. The food and the service never disappoints. Give it a try, you’ll be great full.
The food is always amazing and their customer service is amazing! We cater all of our family parties from Antoninos ans it never disappoints!
Parking was tight, AND the food made up for the on site parking😋... Definitely, will be back sooner then I think... The food was enjoyable✍🏾
Great service and food. Always a great meal at a great price. Staff is attentive and on point.
My office orders from here for our celebrations. The food always comes on time and is delivered hot. My favorite dish here is the Chicken Bruschetta, I have them add fresh mozzarella to my dish because it makes it taste even yummier to me!
Antonino’s is absolutely amazing. Their food is just divine, probably the best Italian cuisine I’ve had in Long Island. Their dessert is extremely delicious and the appetizers and entrees are perfect. I highly recommend going here!
Always order for my so many different department for so many different occasions (in our facility) and it's always a great experience. Food is fantastic and service excellent. The order placed over the phone is on point and everything is 100% accurate. Thanks Antonino's in Manhasset
I have been there several times and in each occasion i was more than satisfied. The food is beyond impressive and i especially like their spaghetti. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Wide range of authentic dishes and delicious desserts.
Great food, wonderful attentive staff. There pasta sauces are delicious and their pizza is possibly the best in the area. The also indoor seating that is separated with vinyl sheeting separation tables. Truly a wonderful place. I highly recommend Antoninos to anyone looking for a romantic dinner or just a quick bite.
Very good Italian food for the Great neck area. Not the best in the county of course. Hands down best pizza in Great Neck. Sauce on the sweet side but the crust is thin and the cheese ISNT runny like Gino’s. Well balanced slice. Highly recommend the eggplant hero. A must try.
Margherita Pizza and fried calamari are our favorite! Great service and cash discount a plus.
One of the tastiest pizzas I’ve had so far. Grilled calamari were fresh and also off the charts. Give them a try you won’t regret it.
Cute little place everything excellent the service the flavors highly recommend.. come early parking is tough and it gets crowded
A classical authentic Italian restaurant. The food is delicious. The service is friendly and the price is reasonable. Next time I should try their yummy pizza.
I try to get there any time in want great Italian food or perfectly prepared seafood. I usually suggest Antonino's when we go to dinner with friends and they're never disappointed. My favorite is the whole bronzino and my wife loves all of their salads. The staff is attentive, professional and very welcoming.
THE FOOD IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS!!! They offer a great lunch prefix as well! The portions are pretty big! And service is Great! It makes my list of places I will frequent!!
Every town needs its “go to” Italian place. Antonino’s offers exactly what you want out of that classic local Italian restaurant. I have been going to this place for maybe 15 years and it has quite literally never let me down. And every time I try a new Italian spot on Long Island I always think “I probably should’ve gone to Antonino’s”
Don't think I've ever ordered something bad off the menu. From appetizers to desserts the food is some of the best I've had on Long Island. Great food, friendly staff, clean silverware and facilities. Parking lot a bit of a hassle to get into and out of but worth it. Highly highly recommend.
Been here at least a few dozen times over the years. Always friendly service, and food is great. Pasta is always cooked perfectly, aldente, and generous with the sauce! The calamari is fried crispy and not greasy. My comparison is always chicken Parm, and they do a wonderful job with it. Chicken is moist and tender, with melted cheese on top, smothered with just the right amount of sauce... Enough that you want to take the bread they give you and save some to clean the plate. I'm not really a salad person, but they make some really good salads, and their pizza is probably in the top 5 in a 10 mile radius. They also do the right amount of toppings; covered, but not so covered you can't lift the pizza. Tortufo is my favorite dessert. It is vanilla ice cream, with toasted almonds and s cherry, all covered with a chocolate exterior shell. They cut it open for you so that it's easier to eat (or shared)! My experience has been cheaper to call and order, over Uber eats. (Faster too!) They are very close to Northwell healh.
As I travel-back-and-forth to Florida, I’d love to find restaurants that local # people enjoy. Well. I found this one. The food was good. The staff are great. They really helped.
Antonino’s really delivered an incredible spread! Eggplant and chicken Francese are such classic, comforting dishes—rich, flavorful, and perfect for a holiday gathering. It been a big hit with everyone at the office! And this amazing garlic knot tree. So adorable and delicious
Antonio’s is five minutes from North Shore University Hospital - where my sister in law had a liver transplant. Antonio’s has saved me, comfort wise ~ every 10 days. Their price fix lunch $22 - is phenomenal, and I have plenty left over for dinner, too. Bread, Soup, salad or pasta; a choice from about 8 entrees, and dessert - also phenomenal, and not too much. The carrot cake is a bit different, but so good!! Service is great, too!
We’ve been going here for years. Always delicious and the staff is super helpful. The shrimp francese was great.
delicious margarita pizza and garlic knots. my go to after chinese for my usual lunch
The staff is so kind and courteous. They are respectful and patient whenever I call for phone orders. The food is delicious and they give ALOT! Big portions and high quality Italian food. Top notch. Great price. Warm hospitality. This is an amazing spot for Italian food! I always order from here and have never been disappointed. Great customer service as well.
Delicious standard Italian cuisine. They have a great prix fixed and family style portions if you come in a group. I loved the bread pin wheel in the bread basket.
Amazing quality Italian food, the Branzino is to die for, and the Caesar salad is phenomenal 10/10!
Updated: The owner called as soon as he saw the review to apologize. Explained that he was off and wouldn't have allowed for them to dismiss me so easily with such a terrible excuse as "that's just how we make pizza" he promised to refund me and send me another order of different items to try as he believes in happy customers being the best for the business. Things like these are valuable to me and imagine anyone that likes to believe the best in people. Let's have faith that owners like this exist all around and care about their customers just as much as they care about their products and employees! The lentil soup is delicious, I especially love it with lemon as it gives it the perfect amount of zing. Definitely consider giving them a try, they will work with you to make your craving dreams come true! If you are vegan like me you will also find plenty of accommodations. Original Review: TERRIBLE! ORDERED TO NORTH SHORE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL AND IMMEDIATELY REGRETTED SPENDING $45 ON THIS! One large pie with paper thin pizza bread, COLD and DRY?!!!! One tiny soup for 8.50 that wasn't even real minestrone also COLD with almost no broth! The bread for the soup was old and smelled terribly old, how does someone do something like that and just DOESN'T CARE?!!!!They sent extra sauce but honestly it was just terrible food that was definitely over priced. Honestly should've trusted my gut feeling but was just starving so much. No worth it at all though. Being hungry with $45 dollars more in my pocket would've been better then this what was sent! Save yourself the trouble.
Food was great! Service was helpful. I really enjoyed my time there.
Perfect cozy spot. Food is delicious. And always fresh. And clean. Thank you
I had an amazing experience at Antonino’s Italian Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and made with such care. The portions were perfect for one person, just the right amount to enjoy without feeling too full. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was great. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!
went on a Saturday night with my girlfriend. I must say , this place is underrated. Id give it a go! Even tho its technically not a restaurant, the food was very delicious. One thing we noted was , the waiter left the grated cheese on table which we loved. Had a great time ! Prices were very reasonable
Antonino’s Italian Restaurant – Manhasset This is my go-to spot whenever I feel like having a solid, decent meal. The salmon with steamed vegetables always hits the spot—especially the vegetables. They’re steamed to perfection with just the right texture and timing. The chicken parmesan with garlic oil is another favorite, and even the welcome bread (made fresh on-site) is something I look forward to every time. I’ve dined here multiple times and enjoyed it every single visit. The staff have that perfect balance—attentive but never pushy, professional but warm. If you know what I mean, you’ll feel it right away. Definitely one of those local gems you keep coming back to.
I highly recommend the Veal parmigiana and Baked ziti with ricotta. One of the best, well worth the visit. Not to mention the various options on the menu. A must try if you're in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is great and the service is excellent. Thank you always for the great experience in every visit.
I showed up at the restaurant at about 10:00 which was the opening time. They were rushing but they prepared an excellent choice pizza and one for my mother too. I absolutely destroyed that pizza right in front of them and I have to say it was One of the best pieces on New Hyde Park.
Reading some of the other reviews, I question whether I’ve been lucky or there are indeed variations based on time of day/staff changes. Yes, parking is a crap shoot and too tight for comfort. Every time I’ve eaten here (for lunch in my experience; going tonight for dinner to test if the food is different). I crave their chicken francese. The food comes out fresh and the service is good. Can’t beat the prix fixe lunch. After my medical appts at Northwell, I treat myself to a pleasant lunch there. Prices seem reasonable. Dishes arrive piping hot to the table. Salads are crunchy and the bread is so good with butter, especially to sop up the lemony sauce that comes with the francese! I’ve tried francese in other restaurants but I always come home to the one I love at Antonino’s! I’ll update from tonight, that’s if I don’t fall asleep after dinner!
Delcious, we started off with the fried calamari appetizer. I had the Eggplant Rotini, Maria had the chicken marsol. Two more in our party enjoyed their meals selected from the 3 Course Menu. We finished off dinner with the Canoli. Fresh crisp shells and excellent filling. Our meal in total averaged out to 50$ a person.
Great pizza, the walnut salad with avocado was awesome! Raspberry dressing delish! Great wait staff. The bread was dry and hard, serve it with some olive oil instead of butter.
Ordered chicken francese. Food was fresh, hot and flavorful. Honestly, the best francese I've had by far. Definitely a pricy place. But worth it.
Our family orders from here often for catering for decent portions. The marinara is best here out of the Italian restaurants in the area and the chicken cutlets are always thin.
Nice, cozy restaurant with a very extensive menu! They have a very good selection of pastas and other Italian dishes. They also have some pizza options. Their prize frix is all days which is great. The entree portion is huge!
Fast service for pick up. It's a bit of a wait for delivery. Food is always fresh, delicious and hot. Buffalo pizza is a must, their pasta is also really good.
Have gone here a few times. Food is very good. Not the best but very good. Service can be hit or miss. This depends on how busy their are. Service is not bad just can be a slow due to lots of people. I would recommend to try but do not go when starving because they are normally busy!
Great hole in the wall restaurant! The grilled calamari and chicken marsala are delicious. Highly recommended! Only knock is the parking situation is a disaster.
Always wanted to try this place ever since moving around here. They always have people dining in. Food was good but the pizza is way better! I would definitely try the restaurant again.
Simple , cozy, and just get right down to the business of authentic Italian food. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening, yet we were accommodated with seating. Get the rice balls for an appetizer.
Pizza was delicious. Really cozy homey place. I wish I knew about it sooner. The pizza is not soggy at all. The bruschetta appetizer was also delicious. The bread could have been fresher. French fries lacked salt. Taking away 1 star...but pizza did rock. Tiramisu was also very yummy and tasted authentic.
I've had food (mostly takeout) over the years from here when I visit the area. Nice food, reasonably priced. The Alla Vodka is great. And they have gluten free pasta, which is good.
Great lunch entree. Meatball Parm,Caesar salad and a little dessert. Good meatballs, side Caesar salad. Tight parking alongside restaurant but prompt service and decent prices. Overall good experience. Will return when back in the area.
The food is good , but place is small. Also it has a parking lot but by a busy intersection. Tough to drive around.
Great neighborhood place. Never disappointed here. Excellent service, great pasta and eggplant parm is one of the best ever. Not bitter, not stringy, not greasy - just delicious. Very good salad, generous portions and the food is always fresh and tasty. They even do their best to customize the menu if you have a special request. Clean food, not fancy, just satisfying and not overpriced. Parking is available in their adjacent little lot, or on the street. Great, reliable Italian food. No hard liquor, but there's wine if you want.
Small but cozy space with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Mostly street parking very little on property parking. Restaurant is located on a very busy intersection.
Restaurant offers an extensive menue of Italian specialities. I enjoyed their pasta carbanara but all the dishes I saw looked delicious.
Food was good till we get the main course, linguine with white clam sauce. Clams were supposed to be chopped they were pretty much whole and very dry. Service was outstanding, fried calamari was excellent avocado salad. Drives me nuts when you pay with credit card I may have suggested tip. I wouldn't mind but the tips is on the total bill which it should not be. This is the latest gimmick. Tax should not be part of the tip
Quaint, small Italian restaurant in Manhasset, hard to park location on busy Northern Blvd. Reasonable prices. Food is good, according to many local friends. Pasta sauce and meatballs were not like my Sicilian grandmother or my mother used to make. Sauce was watery and lacked flavor. The meatballs were bland too. In all fairness, I have not had an opportunity to experience other entrees. This was for a quick bite for an early dinner/late lunch and there were not many people there. It started to fill up around 5:30/6 pm. Fortunately there was on street parking at this time on. Sunday . The one parking lot is extremely tiny. They do free delivery and many locals opt for that, especially for pizza; the regular cheese pizza I have had is very good. There is a generous menu and you can buy family style. Despite its very limited size, they have been here for over 20 years so that says something. Worth a try.
very friendly staff and the food is good. you can get a very good meal at a reasonable price and you'll most likely end up carrying a doggy bag home with their large portions. my wife loves their vodka sauce. they also serve pizza too.
Antonino's is a pizzeria/restaurant with a very large selection on pasta, appetizers, and main courses. While having a very large selection of courses may appease some, it usually means that all the courses will be fair at best, which is what happens here. The service is fair, as I really couldn't remember them asking how things are, checking in, etc. Overall, it's a fair place for a meal, but if you're looking for something more upscale, this isn't it.
The lentil soup was excellent as well as the garden salad and turkey. The seafood risotto was a huge disappointment. Not only did it lack flavor but it was very very dry unlike what risotto should be.
Nice place but very small. Parking is limited and waiter was very attentive to our needs. Honestly I enjoyed the calamari but my chicken Parmesan was very dry and the mozzarella sticks tasted microwaved. I'd encourage others to try this place but for me it was a one time deal
Basically the food was not great… had entrees for about 8 people and 6 of them barely touched their food. Almost zero flavor in their food.
I have been ordering from here for about a month. At first it was great. Now the food is taking way to long to be delivered, the order is not correct and the food is burnt. I'm very disappointed
Picked up a regular slice and a Caesar salad. The regular slice was solid. The grilled chicken caesar salad was not good. The grilled chicken was overcooked and not seasoned, no salt or pepper on it.
Order there food for delivery an it took two hours. Then when we got the food they had made a few mistakes. I order the Shrimp Risotto that was over cook an no flavor. A co worker order Shrimp Parmigiana hero no flavor. An we share some Fried Zucchini Sticks they suck rocks an no flavor. I will not order from this place again.
This is not a place to get Italian food. The traditional red sauce tastes caned... like they have Chef Boyardee in the back. Giving it 2 stars because the place was clean, looked good and the service was fine. Grab a slice of pizza 🍕 instead
Average food, reasonable prices, mediocre service. Prix fixe dinner is a good value at $24.95 but the waiter was not at all attentive, and the food was unremarkable. Eggplant Parmesan was okay; shrimp cocktail had rubbery shrimps and salad had wilted lettuce. Parking on the street is probably safer than trying to maneuver in the parking lot. With all the Italian restaurant choices in the area, I really can't find a good reason to return to this place.
This place has never gotten my to go order correctly. I have ordered online and over the phone, and it is never correct. The receipt is always correct, but the food is made incorrectly. I work nearby and stopped coming here for a few months after all the mistakes. Tried them again today, and same mistake. How hard is it to leave olives off a salad? This is the fourth time I have asked for no olives, and the salad comes with olives, but no onions. The same mistake 4 times? There have also been other mistakes made on orders.
18% Service Fee added by waiter on to the bill, without any notification what so ever.We had 2 people in our party & the restaurant was kind of empty at 2pm on Thursday. The waiter felt it was his RIGHT to put that on the bill & further informed me that he only works on tips. He also said he can refuse service. This seemed peculiar especially since we ordered close to $100 woth of food, alcohol, coffee & dessert we were respectful of others and were enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant. Thought i should share this experience .
I was at the hospital nearby because of my sons birth and I asked the nurses where they typically order Italian from and they said this place primarily and one other place. Well there seemed to be good reviews so we went with Antonino’s. They were nice on the phone, the delivery guy was nice and there were no mistakes with the order. They provided plates and utensils like we asked too. We ordered a tray of the rigatoni Al a Vodka, Calamari, and the rice ball supreme. My wife said that she enjoyed the rice ball (I didn’t try it). The calamari unfortunately was very over cooked, and when they prepped the squid they never removed the pen (spine, plastic like material) and it was throughout the majority of the pieces except for the tentacles. The other thing I found was something green melted on a piece of calamari, and when I looked in the container, there was something white and plastic with green writing that had the word “product” on it that was melted in the fryer with my food. The calamari was very well seasoned but it only needs to be cooked for 1-3min depending on the temp so that it’s tender but it was like chewing on rubber. The pasta was a bit over cooked too so it had no bite to it and the sauce did not taste like a vodka sauce, but more like a sherry cream sauce. The flavor wasn’t bad, but not what my kids expected from a vodka sauce. Unfortunately there were many small mistakes that makes me feel the kitchen staff do not put much care or concern into the product they are serving so I can’t see myself ordering here again.
We were the only people there and still had to flag the server down. It's a tiny restaurant so I don't get it. My lasagna was obviously frozen and couldn't find a server to tell. My companion order Alfredo which was watery. I would not return and I think you can make better Italian at home.
"Carbonara" made w "Alfredo"????? Burnt Salmon(primavera),Super thin pizza(just above sheet of paper),dry chicken roll, rubber calamari.........server not helpful, attentive. "NOT BUSY" Plates Overpriced.... 5☆ reviews must be from "family"
Pasta cold. Meatballs not made of real meat (bland/tasteless too). Tomato sauce also tastes bad. Garlic bread stale. Don’t recommend. They also packed the food incorrectly.
Utterly disgusting. Don't waste a single penny here. Ordered a pie of barbecue chicken with onions only to receive a disturbing Mashup of uncooked onions with a hot pink ketchup like sauce on the bread. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone I order form here the chicken is dry and everything is under seasoned. It's like their scared to touch spices. I'm warning allyuh to not bother with this place.
Use to order from Antonio all the time, but recently they’re being real cheap making the crust so thin with less cheese, so the crust was burned. I also had Alfredo pasta and the sauce tastes like it came from a can sauce. I will never order from this place again.
I had the worse experience here today, I ordered calm sauce with angel hair pasta. The pasta was bone dry, there was lots of clams but no sauce. The flavor was amazing so I tried to eat it but I couldn't because it kept getting caught in my throat. I called and complained and I was told the sauce was absorbed by the pasta. I only go here because it's close but I'll take the ride to eat elsewhere. $13 down the drain
Dont eat here. The owner is rude and extremely disrespectful. We understand the Resturant industry is struggling to make ends meet. But it is no way to treat guests. To curse at customers infront of other people is uncalled for, that is not how to run a business. But I guess it explains a lot about this place. BE AWARE before ordering or even taking out from this place. Keep that same energy when your begging for business.
Horrendous "minestrone" disgusting and not minestrone style at all. Big cut veggies and not at all receipe of a minestrone no less italian minestrone. Nothing similiar
I ordered from this place a few time. The pizza is my favorite. I like the thin crust. I give their pizza a 5 star. I would give most of their entrees a 3 star because most of their food is usually kinda dry and lack taste. Today, I decided to order meatballs with spaghetti. I figure you can’t go wrong with a simple dish. It was the Worst MEATBALLS I ever had. It has the texture and consistency of dog food. It’s so dry and taste powdery. Doesn’t taste like meat. Whoever is the chef who made the meatball should be fired. I hope they would change the ingredients of the meatball. It’s not editable at all. I spent $18 for meatballs with spaghetti that I can’t even eat.
I would never order from this place again I ordered.. a chicken parm hero the bread taste old and wasn’t toasted at all Mozzarella sticks they were not cooked & discolored not even hot The baked clams were not hot The baked raviolis were all over the place The two cokes were even warm You guys are literally .7 miles from the hospital how is everything cold except the cokes ? smh 60 dollars what a waste of money yes the delivery was quick but I’d rather you take the time to make the food the right way then rush it out to me and have it like this horrible at this point I’m thinking I should have just stuck to the hospital food. I wouldn’t even give one star but I have no choice. Smh
