I’m from Hawai’i and let me tell you this place is LEGIT. Hands down the best local food I’ve found in Southern California. Ordered the Ali’i bowl, Teri Beef plate, and the kiawe smoked ahi dip and every single thing was so ‘ono(delicious). The kiawe smoked ahi dip is a MUST order. The poke was fresh & a great variety (they even had limu). The Teri beef was the moist & flavorful I’ve ever had. The sides are also delicious- we got the Mac salad, cucumbers, and Lomi salad. All so tasty, especially the cucumbers. Beyond the delicious food, the service was full of aloha. Guy is the GUY! So kind & brings the spirit of Hawai’i with him to the restaurant. We left the restaurant feeling like we just stepped out of Hawai’i. What a treat this place is. They just gained a permanent customer- we’ll be back!

I found my new favorite poke shop in the LA area! I am a big fan of Hawaiian style poke, but most places tend to be a build-your-own-bowl type of establishment and the flavors never really hit the same. I was in the area and found this place just from Google maps and I am so happy. The owner, who told me he is from Hawaii, was so kind and talked me through the menu. He let me sample each poke checked on all the guests as they were eating. The other staff working there was also so helpful. Not only did he literally bring our bowls to where we were seated, but he also brought the utensil tray for us to grab what we needed without standing up. I am still in shock over the affordable prices and generous portions. I ordered the large bowl which came with 2 heaping portions of fish (I got the ponzu salmon and the creamy garlic), a base of half spring mix half rice, 2 sides (I got seaweed salad and cucumbers), and the bowl comes with your choice of Hawaiian Sun. I could not think of anywhere else you can get this amount of food for $19. There's a good sized parking lot in the back of the building and a nice indoor/outdoor seating area. There are two all-gender restrooms that are so clean and so modern. The decor was so cozy, from the dining areas to the restrooms. If I had to really scrutinize my experience, my only complaint would be that the rice was personally a tad too mushy for my preference. That said, I am SO thrilled to have discovered this place and cannot wait to come again.

If you know & love or want to experience real a slice of Hawaiian cuisine, Ali'i Hawaiian Grill NEVER disappoints...like the locals on the ʻāina say, it broke da mouth cuz. And when Uncle Guy is working the counter, he has that warm Hawaiian ambassador energy that makes you feel welcomed, comfortable and like you're a guest in his home kitchen who just arrived in time to get the most satisfying meal...it is the most authentic Hawaiian cuisine experience I've had on the mainland in 13 years so hats off to the staff and owners. The food goes without saying is delicious, fresh, priced right and sure to have you leaving happy. It was my first time at this new location and I really enjoyed the new updated look as well as the patio seating outside in the back. Next time I am pau surf, I'll be there.

Love this new sit down location but I deeply miss their El Segundo location. There's plenty of free self parking in the rear. The restaurant is clean and well decorated with plenty of indoor seating. There's also a lovely outdoor patio with umbrellas to provide some shade. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Glad to see Guy in this new location. They allow you to sample the poke before committing. As always, the poke is fresh and super flavorful. The menu has other options if you're seeking an alternative. I got the regular bowl that comes with a base. I chose half salad and half white rice (wish they offered brown rice), two poke plus one side (ocean salad). Portions and prices are very reasonable for the quality. I LOVE Ali'i. This location is a little closer to my home than their other location on Anza. Also, it has more indoor seating plus outdoor patio. Strongly recommend!

First time visiting their new location in Manhattan Beach and it’s still just as good. I used to go to their old El Segundo location every week a couple summers ago. Uncle Guy remembered me! It was so good to see him, he’s such a sweet and kind person, filled with the aloha spirit. :) I got the poke sampler with onion limu, spicy tuna and salmon ponzu, 2 Kalua pork tacos, a side of mac salad and a pass-o-guava. Finished every last bit! This new location has a good sized (free) parking lot out back, a nice outdoor patio with tables, chairs and umbrellas and lovely indoor seating. This place makes me miss Hawai’i so much. I wish I didn’t live so far (SGV), so I could come more often. But if I’m ever in the vicinity I’ll definitely try to stop by! Mahalo!!🤙💖

Best poke I’ve had. They really know what they’re doing here. I ordered the large bowl with ponzu salmon and onion tuna poke and loved both. The pickled cucumbers were a great touch. The bowl came with a Hawaiian Sun, which I’d never had before so that was a fun surprise. Hot and fresh spam musubis at checkout? Easy yes. The team was super happy and helpful too.

From the poke bowls to the salmon plates to the loco mocos. And they're always trying new menu items so definitely stop by and see if they got a special going on. If you want great food from a small-business Hawaiian grill, I would recommend this place 100%. The atmosphere is chill and the staff members are friendly.

Tried the Huli Huli chicken with Mac Salad and Broccoli and it was delicious! Also got a side of the spicy poke. The flavors were fresh, tasty and a healthy portion. The ahi spread with chips was also excellent, and the beef teriyaki was delicious. We went for a basketball fundraiser with a group of about 25 people, and it was our first time there. The owner is super friendly, and the staff were all very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Wanted to try a new poke spot and gave this one a shot. Overall, it was fine. The poke wasn’t as fresh as I hoped, and the rice wasn’t anything special. The best part about the meal was the macaroni salad or the pulled pork.
