Opinions de Manhattan Pizzeria Manhattan Beach
I'm from AZ and the last time I've been here was 2024 & I thought about this pizza ever since. personally it's the best pizza I've had 10/10 I recommend
This is an interesting “dive” store front pizza place, that sits (ironically) on a main drag of upscale Manhattan Beach Pier restaurants. It’s pretty much a “walk up and grab a slice and go” place. They have other stuff too (salads/subs). That said, the pizza is New York style thin crust, it’s really good, and it’s about $5-$6 a slice so you really can’t go wrong. Order extra cheese to make it extra good! VictorB
After a nice bike ride down the Strand, I knew I had to take my partner to get N.Y style pizza! She really enjoyed the customer service, the view, outdoor seating and especially the pizza. This is not only customer friendly but due to covid they have secured outdoor seating which makes it a dog friendly spot as well and has definitely won me back! Get the cheese and ask for extra crispy, you wont regret it!
Visit places like this are what brings the peace behind the word "pizza" this place is super cool cozy respectable and attitudes are stupendous and amazing. And the fresh air by the ocean is more peaceful than expected. I love this feel and the glorious view from this location. Devine establishment. These guys are amazing thank you for my pizza and garlic knots yo!
An easy going, relaxed spot to go to after hitting the beach and feeling the munchies! Every time i come by, they're always cool peeps to talk to. And the food is pretty good, too!👍🍕🌭🥪🥤🙂
Highlights: Pretty good thin sliced pizza , quick , vegan options as well Manhattan pizzeria is a really good and small local pizzeria that I honestly like for their thin crust and delicious sauce and cheese. Would come back again. Nice people and good service , and atmosphere was very chill and quiet for good conversation with family or friends
Love coming here for a quick slice of pizza, then head on down to the beach and just hang out and watch the waves. The place is pretty small, but they serve fast good pizza by the slice or whole. They have some other items too, but I just stick to the pizza.
Really dig this spot. The calzone is delicious, not pre made, takes a bit longer, but the wait is worth it, and with the location within ocean view, what's the rush? I do the artichokes mushrooms spinach jalapeno tomatoes etc... And always come back satisfied. Vibe is great. I e come back everytime I'm in Manhattan Beach.
I just went to this great pizzeria yesterday afternoon. Both employees were very patient and helpful with our order and helped me find a selection of beer I liked. My husband and I shared a thin crust pizza that was authentic and delicious. My kids shared a pepperoni calzone and even ate the whole thing! I also had a side salad that had many great toppings (olives, artichokes, peppers, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, etc) and a nice dressing. The outdoor seating had a great view of the beach and was safe and socially distanced. Such a great place to eat and enjoy the view! They also let me and my kids use their bathroom which is very appreciated since lots of places don't even provide this basic amenity during the pandemic.

Manhattan Pizzeria reminds me of New York. I went on a busy afternoon and still received my slices fairly quickly. I did not try other menu items. There is inside seating with containers of crushed red peppers, parmasean, Italian herbs and other toppings that you can use to compliment your slice. The cheese was solid. Upon taking my first bite, I experienced a nice cheese-pull.
The day I was visiting this place, stuff seem to be concerned of some problem. No happy faces at all. I bought one slice of cheese pizza (because they didn’t serve pepperoni for some reason. Maybe that’s why they were concerned.) and cup of beer. They don’t have much of a choice. Pizza was delicious, and beer terrible. I didn’t finished even half of my plastic cup. Threw it in trash can on the pier. Pictures attached.

TLDR: Great pizza, restaurant needs some TLC, and no soap in bathrooms. Pizza spot that serves New York style pizza. I remember coming here as a kid, so I decided to take a trip down memory lane and stop by. We were told it would be 40 minutes for a whole pizza to be made, and they weren't very crowded, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they had a lot of to-go orders. We decided to get just cheese pizza by the slice, which was ready within minutes. The food was great. However, the tablecloths were old and ripped in some places. The main concern was with the bathroom that didn't have soap in either the men's or women's restroom. Do with that information as you will, but I assume they wouldn't have an "A" health score if they weren't safe. Would go again.

Manhattan Pizzeria, just one block from the Manhattan beach pier, had a pretty decent line (8-9 people) to order. We ordered 2 slices of pepperoni with extra cheese, extra pepperoni and 2 sodas. Exactly 37 minutes later, a young waitress (Leilani or Lillana, don't remember) or cashier came outside with 3 boxes and yelled, "2 slices of pepperoni, 1 medium pizza." I approached and asked if that was order number 78, to my surprise she ignored me. I politely asked again as she was waiting for someone to claim the medium pizza, again she ignored my question, "are those slices number 78?" She handed me the box and for a 3rd time asking the question, is this number 78?, she walked inside as if I was a ghost. I opened the box and it was 2 slices of pepperoni, definitely not extra cheese. This was not a great first impression and quite a few customers were complaining of their wait times, understandably because of the epidemic going on, but irregardless of that she should have been polite, not rude as she was. The pizza tastes GREAT, service sucked, the size (1-2 mm thick and maybe the size of a personal pan at some local competitors) of the pizza slices for the amount spent as not worth it... My overall rating is a solid 2/5. Maybe in the future I will try this place again, and possibly I might need to update my review because eateries should always get a second chance... ✌
Oh, Manhattan Pizzeria, where do I begin? My taste buds embarked on a journey that felt more like dining on a greasy napkin than savoring a delightful slice. I ordered the grand 18" cheese pizza, but it seemed like they had misplaced the dough recipe in the Bermuda Triangle. While the crust had a glimmer of hope, the rest of the pizza fell flat like a deflated balloon. Now, picture this: an 18" pizza that looked like it had gone on a crash diet. It was as thin as a supermodel on a fashion runway. I suspect the dough fairy must have sprinkled the same amount of dough on all their pizzas, regardless of size. Talk about an unfair distribution of culinary justice! But let's not forget the thrilling adventure I experienced in the men's restroom. Picture a door that barely locks, like a secret passageway to a pizza-themed escape room. Privacy was but a distant dream, leaving me to ponder whether I was there for a pizza meal or an impromptu magic show. And oh, the cleanliness (or lack thereof). I felt like I needed a pair of rubber gloves just to touch anything. Now, before I throw a whole pizza party of complaints, I must give credit where it's due. The staff at Manhattan Pizzeria managed to salvage a shred of hope from the doughy wreckage. They were friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely passionate about their work. Kudos to them for keeping the spirit alive in a sinking ship of disappointment. In the grand finale, my dining experience at Manhattan Pizzeria left me with a cheesy taste of mediocrity. The pizza was a letdown, the restroom an adventure in itself, and the overall cleanliness questionable at best. I hope the folks behind the scenes take a moment to reflect on their dough-spread predicament and elevate their game. After all, there's potential for Manhattan Pizzeria to rise like a phoenix from the ashes and serve up a truly mouthwatering experience.

Yo, I trusted people when they said that this was very good pizza. In fact, I got an entire pie. This pizza was terrible. I took one bite and threw the pizza slice back in the box. I was so disappointed. The dough was off, the sauce was off. It’s not good pizza — it’s not anything like on the east coast of an attempt to be. I would only go here if you were extremely drunk and needed something to sober you up otherwise save it for a better pizza place. Oh, and what came of my entire pie? I gave it to my Uber driver, who loved it.
I’ve been going here for years . The pizza was always decent . Over the last couple of months it’s changed. So thin it’s melting into the cardboard. You can’t even taste the cheese anymore . At first I thought it was just an error but my husband just bought another home . Kids will still eat it . A no for me .

We waited over an hour for pizza that fell apart when you picked it up. We were told 20 minutes tops. The workers moved overly slow, looking almost stoned. Don’t recommend it at all. On top of it all I got food poisoning from it. Don’t waste your 40 bucks for a bad pizza.
The employees at this cafe lie to their customers, lie about delivery, and orders are delayed by over an hour. The atmosphere is insane. The sanitation is completely unsanitary. Clearly there is enough quality control and closure of the establishment
When we first arrived, we weren’t greeted by anyone. When we ordered and paid for a large pepperoni pizza, the cashier didn’t say a word—no greeting, no confirmation of the total, and no estimate of how long the pizza would take. After waiting about 10 minutes in our car, we returned to check on the order. We noticed that when a group of men came in, the staff’s attitude completely changed, and their order was prepared before ours. What concerned us most was that the person making our pizza was using their cell phone during food preparation, without gloves, handling both the phone and the cheese. Because of these issues, we requested a refund. This occurred during the closing shift on 10/22/25 around 7:00 PM.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. After a night of fishing, we decided to try this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. When we placed our order, there was no greeting, confirmation, or communication whatsoever—no “hello,” no update on the order, nothing. We decided to give it some time since we ordered a large pizza, but when we returned after putting away our fishing gear, our pizza still hadn’t even been started. The staff was preparing food for a group that hadn’t paid yet, even though we had already paid. When they finally began making our pizza, I was shocked by the lack of hygiene. The employee working the register handled cash, then touched the pizza dough without washing his hands. Another staff member was on his phone, then touched our pizza with his bare hands. When I addressed this, he simply said, “I got a phone call.” This was completely unsanitary and unprofessional. I left feeling disgusted and disappointed, and I plan to contact the owner directly to report what I witnessed.
I walked in and it smelled disgusting. Like they used the most toxic cleaning supplies to clean something close to the counter. I dont want that smell of chemicals in or around my food. Idk but I walked right out. lol.

The worst customer service I have ever received. I asked to order some type of chicken pizza, they didn't have any chicken, that's fine no problem just give me the same pizza and replace the chicken with pepperoni. From this point on the guy was extremely rude and passive aggressive. I ordered the food anyway and when I came back they had given me the completely wrong pizza with ingredients I don't like. Usually I would forget about it and eat it anyway but it was the fact I didnt like the ingredients I wanted to come to some sort of solution I wasn't trying to be awkward I work in a food shop myself I know mistakes can happen. "Well maybe you should have ordered what you wanted" so I pulled out the receipt which said what I wanted and that I wanted the money back for the ingredients I didn't get, he stormed away and wouldn't speak to me. I wouldn't usually write a negative review however this was more horrendous than I can put into words that I feel the need.
