Great views and ambiance. Jorge and his team did a great job taking case of us. The view of the ocean with the Matthan pair was beautiful. The food was flavorful. We has the Watermelon Spritzer, baked class, 1/2 dozen oysters and shrimp cocktail as well.

Note: I am ranked top 10% of Google Restaurant Reviewers and do not receive any compensation for these reviews. I went to the Strand House with my wife and two kids on Labor Day weekend. We were looking for a place close to the beach with half-way decent food. As many of you know, if it has a view, the food doesn’t have to be good. With that in mind, we had little to no expectations for both the food and service. It was all about the beach for us. We were pleasantly surprised to find both excellent service and great food. We were there for brunch so I can’t speak for dinner. I had the fried chicken and waffles which is usually hard to do well. Most places usually screw up one of the two. The chicken is usually too dry or greasy or the waffle is hard and dry. The strand House nailed both. The service was also surprisingly good. Everyone was attentive and polite and obviously took pride in provide great service - something hard to find nowadays. We are definitely coming back. And yes, the views were amazing!

I had heard the food and atmosphere were wonderful and finally was able to experience it!!! The wine, the pesto pasta (with scallops) was ridiculously good. The parker rolls, the watermelon salad, the donuts!!! (I heard the cinnamon rolls and breakfast were amazing, too)

Really enjoyed most of the dishes here. The scallop pesto pasta was flavourful and sufficiently creative and the other dishes my colleagues had were on point. I really liked the creme caramel. Also enjoyed the window view.

I had heard amazing things about this restaurant, so when the opportunity came to visit with a group of six, I was excited—but what we experienced completely blew my expectations out of the water. From the moment we walked in, everything about this place felt welcoming and elevated. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. It set the perfect tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable evening. The service was truly exceptional. Our server was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Despite our larger party, everything was handled seamlessly—drinks were refilled without asking, recommendations were spot-on, and the pacing of the meal was perfect. The food came out much quicker than expected, and every single dish was plated beautifully and full of bold, well-balanced flavors. We each tried different items, and not a single bite disappointed. It’s rare to go to a place where every dish is a hit, but that’s exactly what happened here. The drinks were equally impressive—thoughtfully crafted, delicious, and a great complement to the food. Dining here felt like a special occasion in itself. Between the outstanding food, top-tier service, and stunning views, it’s the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re considering going—go. You won’t regret it.

Our family celebrated birthday here. Made the reservation to dine while watching the sun go down. Our table was not by the window so I don’t have a nice picture of the sunset but the atmosphere of the restaurant was still good. All of the food tasted great and raw oysters had very nice taste. Glazed donuts were surprisingly tasty. Our family devoured it quick.

Excellent restaurant. I came here with 2 friends. Spent some good time. Our waiter was extremely friendly and nice. He was very helpful explaining the menu and was on top of things. I started with the Poacher, which is basically a Manhattan and that’s what I needed for a drink, but it has a different name on their menu. The Poacher was really good. We then got shared appetizers including crab cakes and prawns. Both taste great 10/10. Main course I got the truffle tagliatelle with add on shrimps, and it is something out of this world. Super rich, yet not heavy. Portion size is reasonable and satisfying. 100/10 for that plate. Dessert wise we got shared donut mix, which was fantastic, and I got the chocolate passion, which was phenomenal. Atmosphere is very friendly and ambience is excellent. Very happy with the experience

**Warning** Parking is a nightmare here and that frustration alone makes it a tough sale BUT the food was pretty good. I did feel it was a touch pricey for what we got. The real big turn off here is the restaurant is like a night club. Loud music and everyone trying to talk over it. I think you remove a couple tables and lower the music and add this with the great ocean view this place would be a easy 5 star

GET THE CINNAMON ROLL TO SHARE! For about $17 you’ll get a massive cinnamon roll that’s super delicious and a great way to start brunch. It’s fluffy and comes with a decadent caramel sauce that is super buttery! Great beachside restaurant that has wonderful views overlooking the Pacific Ocean while serving some really good food! The burger was really good too and would recommend along with the Huevos Rancheros. Great atmosphere and would recommend making reservations for the weekend as it does get busy. Service was good for how busy it was.

We were looking where to eat on Manhattan Beach. Everything was quite busy as it usually is on a Friday night. I looked at the menu and decided that the grilled octopus sounded tasty and spoke to the host and she said there was no wait if we went down stairs to the lounge it was full dinner service also. We gave it a shot and we had a really fun time. The server was great. The atmosphere was really fun. Good music plane. Drinks were fun and the food was good.
