This is an icon of the neighborhood. It has continually provided quality foods, good service, at a reasonable price for decades. It's not pretentious like some restaurants near the pier. This is a neighborhood gem.

One of the best burgers I've ever had down here at the beach, the service is probably normally pretty good but his mother's day and they were a little crowded little hard to get certain things, I think they should probably have larger portions of things like mayonnaise and mustard that they have out where you can get or help yourself because they get busy and don't have time to get them to you. But everybody seemed to really enjoy their food in the atmosphere was nice.

We were staying in Hermosa Beach for the weekend and got up wanting some real breakfast on Easter Sunday. Our google search turned up Sloopy's Beach Cafe. Food looked good. Didn't check the reviews. So off we went. They both pale to the high bar achieved by a visit and the actual experience. This place is phenomenal. Food was perfectly cooked, properly portioned (not too much, not too small), great price points. We had breakfast but the other menu items looked fire! The staff was so warm and friendly. Welcoming in a way that was genuine and not forced, phony, or insincere. They were all approachable, smiling, and gregarious, speaking with everyone yet still on point taking care of the customers. My girl and I go to a lot of places to eat. This one stood out and we will definitely add to our list of "go to's". if you are anywhere in Southern California, and headed to the beach, check this place out for yourself.

Came agin for about the 10th time. Here are some more pics! Loved this casual and “earthy” and plant filled small box eatery. Incredible wood tables and plants everywhere. And yes, the food was excellent. From the coffee “flight”, to the tall glasses of Lemonades, to the fantastic French toast, or breakfast burritos, or a delicious big sloppy burger. It was all great. Service was great as well. This may be the best breakfast joint on the main drag of Manhattan Beach! VictorB

This place was so cute and the food was good! Definitely give their cucumber and lime drink a try!! It's fresh squeezed juice and has mint too! The best drink I ever had. We split a pesto sandwich and their Mac n cheese! Ambiance and decor is so cute and it's a block away from the beach.

First time and definitely returning, such a peaceful vibe and great food, I had the Manhattan sandwich with added arugula and it was perfect. Also had the eggs Benedict and that was cooked to perfection, also the pancakes are a must have! The coffee flight was a great way to start!! And the fresh squeezed lemonade was delicious! Definitely have to go and try more off the menu! If you drive by this place and never stop you should!!

Nice spot in the Sand district of Manhattan Beach. Pretty surroundings and comfortable. The menu is comprehensive and service is friendly.

Came here for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. It’s street parking only so be prepared to wait awhile to find somewhere to park. Had their bbq grilled chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. Had it with some delicious crispy fries. This is a small location, so don’t expect big booths to sit in, however, they do have nice wooden tables. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Probably will return to try some of their good looking breakfast food. They stop serving breakfast at 2:00 PM

Breakfast to dinner menu. I had the Heuveos Rancheros, which wasn't traditional but still very good. Rice, beans, queso, large tostado chip, and medium egg over the top. A really good looking RibEye on the dinner menu. Great service and walking distance to the beach. Delivery service flying out the door, even for breakfast. Been here 60 years. The current owner has only been here for 30+ years. (rookies)

Sloopy’s Beach Cafe has a lovely decor and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed lunch or brunch. The service was quick, and the food was good. The fish and chips were okay, and the Black and Blue burger was juicy, well-charred, and flavorful. The standout was the coleslaw, easily the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

The decor and atmosphere is very cute. Very green and full of plants. The staff is very attentive and the brunch here is very good. I had the bistro breakfast sandwich and my friend had the pork Benedict and breakfast tacos that they loved. The parking is gonna be hard given it's paid and limited in Manhattan beach. The place only seats once your party is here so I suggest having everyone meet so you can get a seat. It wasn't too busy in that sense so I think you won't have to wait long regardless.

This cafe was ok. I liked the aesthetic the most. The food was overrated. We got three burgers and fries for over $60. The server didn’t check up on us once.

Friendly staff and decent food, my friends and I tried the sushi burrito, zucchini sticks (skippable for me), sweet potato tots (just ok too) on the side, some bacon, waffles with fresh fruits (good if you want something sweet), overall it was an ok experience, we had to keep waving around to get the flies to go away which was a bit annoying. They’re also pretty busy so expect some wait time.

The restaurant itself is cozy and has a nice atmosphere, but the customer service was extremely disappointing. Our waitress, Haley, was unprofessional and discourteous throughout our visit. She answered questions in a rude and dismissive manner and even told us, “You have to wait, I have another table outside,” when we politely asked for plates to be cleared. She also made mistakes with our orders and showed visible frustration when we tried to clarify them. Her poor attitude made what was meant to be a special birthday lunch for my sister very uncomfortable. When it came time for the check, she tossed it to another waitress instead of handing it to us directly. Thankfully, the other waitress was polite and professional. The food was average (6.5/10), but the unpleasant service completely overshadowed the experience. Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this restaurant.

Server wasn't writing anything down and kept forgetting things, she also seemed mad about serving us. Her name is Hailey, and never checked on us and threw the check when we asked for it. The bun on my burger was completely torn apart before my first bite.
