I grew up on this food. Ask them for their pastrami sandwich, it's fantastic. Their hot dogs and chili are great also. Seasoned fries that are well done and crispy. Don't forget a fresh hand made milk shake or as my Dad prefers malt. I have been eating here for over 30 years, amazingly they have kept the same staff (with some new faces), consistent quality food and friendly service for the decades I've had the privilege of visiting them. Always a treat to meet lifelong friends here for a quick meal during the day or evening.

One of my favorite places for breakfast. They have table service until 11:30am and the service is great. Good omelets but Country breakfast is my favorite. After 11:30am it's sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc. You order at the counter. Food is all good. Enjoy!

My husband, mother-in-law and I entered and were greeted by three young men. They were very polite and cheerful and joked with us about the parking meter out front. Mom had a Tuna melt and loved it. It was more than she could eat, so she brought half of it home. Her only complaint and it was more of an afterthought than a complaint, was that she will order it and have them add more onions next time. Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Everything was awesome, service was awesome and the young men at the counter stayed busy cleaning, stocking, and taking care of customers the whole time we were there. They were not just polite to us, they were also polite to each other. I'm a former "boss" and taught customer service for a company that I previously worked for, so customer service is very important to me when I'm spending my money in any establishment...My rating here?...Awesomeness at Tomboy's all the way!!

My first time here and we order chili twisty fries with pickles on top, sweet potato fries, bacon cheeseburger, and a chili cheeseburger. Everything was amazing! The sweet potato and twisty fries were nice and crispy, the chili cheese was very tasty and not too greasy, and the bacon burger had a very authentic burger flavor. Very good, we will be coming back here. We did drive thru.

A great all American burger, shoestring fries w/chili really good, onion rings lightly battered are textbook! For $10 a very good deal indeed. A home cooked taste that your not going to find under any yellow arches. Wish I came here sooner, what an excellent local place, I'll be back soon!

Our whole family just loves this place. Whenever we return from a trip, Tomboy's is our first stop. We really enjoy the double burgers, soft chicken tacos, NY pastrami sandwiches, and tuna sandwiches. Fried zucchini is a regular order and their fries are great too.

We have driven by this Tomboy's so many times and we had already eaten or it was late and closed. We finally decided to make the trip to Manhattan Beach just to go. My grandson was so excited. He loves Chili Burgers. We made the right decision. It was great. All of it. The place outside is cute, not very big and you may miss it so be on the lookout. There is comfortable seating indoors and out. The interior is just spotless. While we were there we saw staff cleaning all the tables after a customer left. The floors were spotless. Inside is super cute. It has a large menu on the wall and a good selection. They have some things I have never tried before like pastrami quesadilla. I will be trying that on our next visit. They also have breakfast items. They have shacks and all sorts of sodas. We ordered what we came for, chili burgers and chili fries along with an Oreo cookie shack and a soda. We were in heaven. We sat down and they give you a number. When they call you just walk up and it is waiting on a tray. The chili is so very good and the burger and bum perfection. They give you a lot of chili and their regular order of fries is huge just covered in chili. It is not too hot, not too greasy and not too mild. It is perfect. We loved every bite and wished we had remembered to order a chili dog to share, but too late, we were stuffed. The prices are reasonable. You can get it to go if you want. I don't know if they deliver. The service here was so great. There were two young men behind the counter and they listened carefully as my grandson who has speech issues told him what he wanted. They offered him choices and spoke to him like he was in charge of his order, and he is. They made sure our order was right. When one of the employees was cleaning tables he asked on us. When we left we were thanked. I love these guys. They open early at 7 am so you can have a full breakfast there if you want. Everything is made to order. This place is just great so go there and have fun. If you are on a diet, this is not the place for you. Indulge your love of chili burgers.

was craving empanadas but they were closed and I was right in front of tomboys well they provided my need french fries for the way home for little Crunch and carbs and an amazing Greek salad with chicken that lasted two meals and was absolutely delicious. also nice to see our local men in blue being served we shared a smile and a giggle about starving

Well it's been quite a while since Ive had a real Chili Burger. Only out here can you get a Tommy's or as in Tomboy's pretty much the real deal!! My double was delicious and brought back great memories. Thank you all!! BTW the folks here were very nice too!!

A fantastic family owned burger and dog spot in Manhattan Beach. I got the Chili Cheese Dogs and Chill Cheese Fries and they were fresh, tasty and delicious! The kids got cheeseburgers and fries and gobbled them up like ravenous dogs chowing on a fresh steak. The young men behind the counter were proud of the food and to work there and their service was absolutely stellar! Give them a shot when you get a hankering for a great burger or dog!

Little diner with all the classics. The chili cheeseburger is fantastic, though fair warning it does get messy! No frills establishment, typical diner vibes. Burgers come out fast, a little longer for fried items. Always a good meal and the folks are pleasant.

The food here was great! Fries were crispy, the burgers were tasty and the chili cheese dog had a generous amount of toppings. I didn't really like how the middle age white lady was a bit rude to the younger staff which made things a bit uncomfortable for me at the register. It's also pretty chaotic between the drive thru and register situation. They could also benefit from a 2nd soda machine. Overall one bad apple in the staff, slight chaos but amazing food. I'll definitely be back!

Moving forward when in the mood of eating a burger, this is the place for me. First time eating here (6-11-21) order a double bacon cheeseburger it taste like a actual burger and the burger alone gad me stuff. I place a phone order to pick up myself instead of ordering thru delivery apps. Many perks picking up your own food (saved my self 7-10 bucks plus the delivery tip, food taste fresh compare to delivery apps). Employees where cool my order was ready upon arrival and accurate. I live local and until I run into a better burger place , I will order from here. Thanks!

1st time stopping after driving by so many times. I ordered the green chilaquiles and they were very good. The wait in drive thru was a bit long but, I can see it was worth the wait.

Service was of high quality for a fast food restaurant. They offer a combination of breakfast and dinner foods. Be sure to check out their new chicken options, opposed to just burgers. They received a 4/5 because their menus need to be updated to reflect their new food options. Overall, great place!

So after reading the reviews about their pastrami sandwich on how much they stack it with fresh delicious pastrami, unfortunately it was not true...the pastrami tasted salty, meat was slightly discolored, and just tasted like it was old and not fresh. I was extremely disappointed and will not be patronizing this location. So the icing on the cake was when my wife ate the other half of my sandwich without me saying anything about it then I hear " I don't like it!"

First and last time at TomBoys chili cheese dog was not great the chili cheese tasted like it came out of a can which I'm sure it did they don't make it from scratch but was disappointing. If you want good chili cheese stop at Pit Burger in Gardena

Overpriced!! 5 cheeseburger combos fries and soda for $85 idk if he overcharged me or what!!! Not worth a dime should've gone across the street to In & Out and still had change left.. In & Out is way cheaper, better food quality and better service!!! Never wasting my money here again...

Awful. 2nd worst dining experience I've had here in LA. Simple chicken sandwich and fries. I like Tomboy's I usually go to but this was disgusting. Dirty dingy restaurant and the food was disgusting. The chicken was so greasy it turned the sandwhich into a slip n slide and they slathered both buns in mayo so the whole things was soggy and falling apart. Honestly had 1 bite and threw the whole thing away because it effectively ruined my appetite. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

We (3 of us ) frequented this restaurant several times per week for the past 20 years. It was a convenient place to meet and grab a hamburger. Unfortunately, we stopped going to this restaurant because of the hostile treatment we received for not wearing a mask. Apparently the order taker felt she was the mask police. I'm sure the owner wonders where his long term customers went. I guess the mask was more important than keeping customers! We have already found the replacement restaurant that has treated us with respect and enjoy our revenue.

I wouldn’t normally review this except it was literally in my mouth as I bit into my wrap and it threaded out still intact to the contents of the sandwich as i went to investigate. Utterly grossed out to say the least. Ruined my appetite. I need the prep and kitchen staff to do better with protecting the food please.
