Opinions de Holland Farms Bakery & Deli Manlius
What a DELICIOUS and DANGEROUS addition to Manlius! I went on day one for a box of donuts to mark our son’s last day of daycare, then went back on day two for half moons for my half moon connoisseur husband. This could become a problem.😂 Everyone was so friendly, the early morning selection was amazing, the iced coffee was excellent, the prices were so reasonable, and aforementioned half moon lover gave them his seal of approval. Welcome, Holland Farms! I’m coming for your cookies next and can’t wait for soups this winter!
Best bakery in town hands down! The vanilla half moon was a 9 out of 10. Obviously is crazy busy so you can’t judge off the speed because everyone is trying to get a piece of the cake 🎂
These were so good, I haven’t stopped thinking about them since I got them a few days ago. Soft, fresh, delicious. Can’t wait to try more on the menu.

Went a couple of times in their first weeks after opening. Tried many different kinds of half-moons and enjoyed all of them. Donuts were delicious. The tomato pie was available as individual slices, so anyone complaining they didn't know what they were getting is just silly. It is supposed to be eaten without heating, and it is good. Can't say it was amazing, but not everyone likes everything. It was a little chaotic, but they had just opened, the place was jam packed with people both times and we were still served quickly. Definitely will be back for baked goods.
You dont come for the service of the ambiance but the food is fantastic. Glad I dont have to go all the way to Utica anymore. You just pickup something delicious and take it out
Its good....bakery is better than the savory menu items imo. Half moons are good....but if you're in Manlius and remember Murphy's, they don't touch them (miss Murphys)
Holland Farms is a family-run institution with decades of success, and their new Manlius location lives up to the hype. From their iconic half-moons to their fresh donuts and deli offerings, everything is consistently high quality. It’s a "grab-and-go" setup (no seating), but the staff is efficient and the parking is easy. A must visit for anyone in the area!
Great selection, delicious bakery and homemade soups. Recommend visiting and gathering items for the whole family. There is a reward program and recommend using that on future visits. Will be returning to try another treat. Keep the Moo points coming. Consider viewing the deli as part of your order. Tomato pie look like a specialty and tastes wonderful.
I got some half moons which is a must. I got two donuts; a headlight and a Boston cream. They were fresh and large with plenty of filling. I love cherries so I tried the cherry turnover. It was flaky with a drizzle of icing. I just wish there was more filling but who doesn't want more filling. I enjoyed everything and would certainly come back for more.

We had a chance to visit and purchase items to bring into work and enjoy at home. Fast and courteous service. We purchased their fruit turnovers and cinnamon twists. They were delicious and fresh. We’ll be back.
Holland Farms was always a special treat when we’d either be visiting my grandparents in Utica, or when they’d come to us. It’s great to have a location even closer – it makes getting the best jelly buns that much easier! Highly recommend stopping in for those who might be unfamiliar with how good this bakery is.
The donuts and other baked goods are excellent, especially the brownies and barvarian cream donuts, but I keep going back to get a tubs of the ham salad and either the potato salad or macaroni salad, all really good. Had a mini ham sandwich one day, and that was also good.
Went day one for their opening; even though it was busy we were still in and out within five minutes. Prices were great, good service, and quality of their bakery items are great. Unfortunately being just an hour or so before close they were sold out of a few things, but I didn’t expect different being opening day right before close. We will be back tomorrow for the half moon cookies!
I love a good bakery! A co worker told me about this place and said they came from Utica. I tried a few different donuts and they were all delicious. They were a nice size and very soft. Just fluffy with frosting! I love it! I also had a big cinnamon roll that was huge! It tasted good. We also tried the chocolate half moon cookie. I can’t wait to go back and try more different flavors donuts.
This is gonna be a little long, so I’m apologizing ahead. I was so excited to see this Utica favorite open right here in Manlius. Their two signature items, tomato pie and half moon cookies, definitely live up to the hype. The tomato pie was new to me, and while it is traditionally eaten at room temp, one of the staff suggested heating it at 375° for 5 minutes. Game changer. The crust came out crisp and delicious, with a simple but flavorful topping of tomato sauce and Parmesan. I will absolutely be back for more. Half moon cookies are excellent with fun flavor options, though I like the traditional. Rolls and chicken salad were very good, the potato salad was just okay, and I am still in search of that New York City style potato salad. Service is friendly and personal, with one staff member helping you through each section. It may slow things down a little but it makes the experience feel welcoming. Prices are not posted where you can easily see them and I do find things a little expensive, though not astronomical. The shop can be crowded and parking is tricky if you are turning off Route 92, so I suggest entering from the other side. Overall, a great addition to the village with unique regional favorites. I’m excited to try some of their deli offerings like sandwiches and I saw Utica Greens. If you make it down this far, I spent about $60 on two large tubs of chicken salad, a large tub of potato salad, a dozen rolls, tomato pie and four cookies.

Glad to have this here in manlius, lots of variety and good quality baked goods...... but it was a bit shocking when I ordered a half dozen glazed donuts and the total came out to nearly $14. I could see that for over the top Gourmet donuts with ingredients like bacon bits and candy on top but for ordinary donuts, it seems excessive to be charging more than $2 a piece.
I will give them a 4 since it’s a new business in the area. I wasn’t sure what the hours were for the hot lunches and wasn’t able to get there until a little before 2:00. At that point they had already packed up the food and put it in the cooler. It was $13.99 for a small bowl of food that I couldn’t see since the top of the container was full of condensation. The “filled finger” donut was $3 and okay. I got the Mac salad which didn’t have much flavor so I added to it at home. The store is very clean and items arranged nearly. Personally, I don’t know if I’ll return because I believe in transparency and prices being posted. There should be no surprises at the register. Most of the items in the store are not marked or any prices advertised.

Went there ask for a pastry the employee had to ask another employee if they sell pasties and when the employee went into the back to see if they had any the one employee said we have pasties I’ve seen them so when the person came back she said I don’t see any so I end up getting 1 apple flip 1 Bavarian cream 1 filled finger and 1 soda after I ordered the employee took 30 seconds staring at me like what, I got home after getting my order tried the apple flip I didn’t taste any apple flavor it tasted like a sugar cookie. I would suggest to the business to please put the cost of each item on their website and in store so people will know how much everything is

Great products but the lack of customer service this morning was shocking. 2 employees, no one greets me. I walk up to a case with one making boxes and I’m looking at the case items. No word at all. At this point I’m testing to see how long it takes for anyone to say anything. I keep browsing. Once I’m ready I look up at the girl making boxes, she’s staring at me and finally walks over to me but still doesn’t say anything so I finally say “hi how are you?” She says, “I’m good.” That’s all I’m going to say. The exchange just wasn’t pleasant and it turns me off from coming back. Like I said, great baked goods, but being ignored sucks. They need more training in customer service.
I'm not going to discuss the baked goods because all I got was a sandwich. Don't know if it's because they just opened and their employees are just starting to be trained, but I ordered a sandwich today and was under whelmed. It was a large sub that literally came with three thin slices of turkey, maybe 2 or 3 oz total. Mayonnaise was indistinguishable from the bread because they didn't put enough on to even taste it. Three onions, one pickle and a good amount of lettuce on a sub roll that was dry....$10 bucks. Compare this to a Byrne dairy sandwich which has about a pound of meat on it and as many toppings as you want for the same price (good for 2 meals). Baked goods appear to be their thing so they should probably stick with that. So if you're looking for a good deli sandwich in Manlius, this is definitely a pass.
Only tried the donuts but can’t say I see the appeal. The dough was very dense and my Boston cream quite literally had 0 filling. The jelly bun was also hard but atleast had filling which was tasty.

The food out of this place is good. However, they frequently just stare at me when I come in and refuse to serve me...I wonder why? I would hate to think that they don't serve non-white people. Would not be the 1st time that has happened to ne in the FM area. I mean, there are plenty of other places I can go to spend my money. Just makes me sad, a little.
I will definitely stick to utica! Halfmoons to me definitely don't taste the same! The white moons I bought had a shiny frosting and tastes nothing like the ones from Utica! Hoping it changes

We were excited to finally try their much-hyped tomato pie. The boxes were sealed, so we couldn’t see what we were actually buying; probably our first mistake. When we bought and opened them, the big reveal was pizza with absolutely no toppings. Calling it a tomato pie was generous; there was barely enough tomato sauce to cover the witness protection program. On the bright side, their marketing team deserves a standing ovation for selling us “bland pizza crust with no topping” under such a bold new brand name. If creativity in naming counted as flavor, this would’ve been Michelin-starred.
I have been excited about trying this place. Today 03-06-26 I drove there from Constantia NY. I walked in and older woman was extremely rude to us with attitude yelling “ We’re sold out of most everything so what you see is what it left” I tried asking her questions as it was my first time there and she rolled her eyes, raising her voice with extreme attitude as she replied to me. I never got to ask her anything as she walked away and started speaking to another customer, leaving me and my 2 other family members speechless! I said to sister “ Let’s go “ and we walked out! I’m still in shock and extremely disappointed as we went to buy each a dozen of mixed desserts as well as buy lunch for 4 people, because of the ladies rudeness we left without trying anything, wasting our time and gas and most of all destroying our experience!!!
