We stopped into Rosa Mexicano for a quick snack and loved it. They brought complimentary chips and salsa which were fresh and tasty, and we ordered the queso that was absolutely delicious rich, creamy and with a really nice chipotle aroma. We also had the three layer frozen margaritas which were honestly some of the best margaritas I have ever had. The atmosphere is cool, the vibe is relaxed and the service was super friendly. We will definitely come back for a proper meal next time.

Had an appointment in Union Square and stumbled upon this gem to grab a quick lunch! Discounted high end cocktails & a wide selection of delicious Mexican food menu options. I got something less traditional (the Mexican fried rice) but it was delicious nonetheless! Andres was very hospitable!

Today we tried out Rosa Mexicano and we were not disappointed. Jose Luis expertly lead us through the menu choices and gave us excellent recommendations. The food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. But it was the service that put this place on the map for us. We will be back and we will be asking for Jose Luis

Fantastic dinner at Rosa Mexicano in Union Square! The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. The highlight of the evening was definitely the tableside guacamole service. It's so fun to watch them prepare it fresh right in front of you, and it tastes incredible. A perfect way to start the meal. Highly recommend it!

Elevated Mexican cuisine in a beautiful setting. Very friendly and attentive service. Famous for their made to order guacamole which they will prepare in front of you. Flounder ceviche was on point but i would have added more heat. My friend salad came in a taco shell bowl, very fun and delicious.

Went here for Taco Tuesday ! Their guac is made fresh and customized to your spice level you requested. Their salsa roja was one of my favorites. Nice little appetizer before the main meal. I would say request extra chips because if you order their tacos only 3 come in one order and are bite sized. So definitely not filling. That is the reason for the 4 star review. Besides this the customer service was great from the host and our server. I will be back but possibly just for drinks or their happy hour.

Delicious food though a little pricey. The guac is amazing (kinda salty but that’s how I like it). I got the birria quesatacos which were good but the tortilla was kinda stale. I also got the lemonade which was good. It was my friends birthday and they brought out a sombrero and sang to her and also gave us a dessert on the house and we picked tres leches cake. Overall great place for a birthday we had 9 people. Food is pretty good.

We stopped by for Taco Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised; all tacos were half off! which instantly set the tone for a great night.. The waitress was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout. We went on a full on taco frenzy, and each one was flavorful. The drinks? Hit the spot. While I didn’t love the tres leches dessert, everything else made up for it. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

Dropped by after work on a Thursday night and thankfully there’s lots of seating available as most other spots were full. The atmosphere was fun and surprisingly not too loud that I couldn’t hear my friend. The menu is fairly big but the main options are tacos or enchiladas with a few signature dishes. We ended up sharing fajitas and some appetizers. Food was good but I did feel the signature guacamole was a tad bit bland. Also had the tres leche for dessert and it came a bit dry. They graciously gave us more of the milk when we asked which helped it a lot. Service was good and staff was helpful. A good spot if you’re craving Mexican food.

I’ve lived in New York City for 14 years and have eaten at a number busy restaurants on a Saturday night. I understand that restaurants want to turn tables and so you shouldn’t expect to linger long once done with your meal. I went to dinner with two of my friends tonight and we have never felt so rushed. Our food came out very quickly (faster than our drinks)! That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but not ten minutes into our meal are people trying to clear away dishes. I literally had to ask them to keep food on the table I wasn’t done with. After the third visit from waiters did I finally ask to pack up my meal since it was clear they wanted us gone. We decided to order dessert and while waiting for dessert we were visited by someone in management asking how we were (it clearly felt like he saw our clear table and was also pushing us out so I quickly told him we were just waiting for dessert). We had made a reservation so they should have allotted the appropriate time for a group to have a meal (I think we may have been there 40 minutes tops). As we were leaving we saw droves of people coming in which made the situation even more chaotic, it was if we were getting off the subway during rush hour. I would have rather them say they needed the table at a certain time than to be made to feel we were in a factory. I barely had enough time to eat my meal, and didn’t get a lot of time trying to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen in some time. Don’t take reservations if you are going to do this to patrons.

Though a chain restaurant, it's pretty decent. I can recommend the Shrimp Diablo if you wanna switch it up a bit and get something other than the guac or nachos. Do get the sauce on the side unless you can really handle the spice (this is coming from a person who likes spicy). If I remember correctly, we got the molcajete fajitas (don't remember the name exactly). It was choose 2 proteins for $42. Shareable size depending on the appetite. Came with rice&beans, crema, cheese, corn tortillas and pico. Proteins chosen were chicken and steak which came on a bed of cooked peppers and onions. Of course there were more veggies than protein 🤷 but what can ya do? Complimentary chips and salsa are given to you when seated. Spacious location and good atmosphere. Service was lacking a bit. Not the best. Overall I don't see myself coming back anytime soon

SOME workers were nice but we did feel like our waiter had some type of animosity towards us. We waited 48 minutes for our food to come out. Which was not ok. Food was not even hot once we got it. Everyone in my party didn't like that. I asked for them to remake my dish and they took forever. By the time my party was done, my plate was not even out yet. I asked to cancel. I ended up taking my daughter's leftovers home to microwave it. The music was horrible too. I feel like it did not go with the vibe for it being a "mexican" restaurant. Do better next time please. You guys know who you are.
