Bold flavours, creative cooking all round good time. We really enjoyed the restaurant decoration, the service provided and most of all the delicious food and cocktails. We’ll definitely be returning.

A True Gem High Dive is easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the UK. The food is outstanding – fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour, with a clear nod to Mexican inspiration that feels both authentic and creative. Every dish is beautifully balanced, from the depth of seasoning to the presentation, and it’s evident that the kitchen really cares about quality. The service matches the food – warm, attentive, and genuine without ever being overbearing. The staff make you feel instantly at ease, adding to the sense that you’re in good hands from the moment you walk through the door. The ambience is another highlight. High Dive has that perfect mix of relaxed and stylish, with a buzz that makes the whole experience feel special without being pretentious. Quite honestly, it’s the best Mexican-inspired restaurant I’ve come across in the UK – a place that makes Margate worth the trip in itself. Highly recommended.

We first stumbled upon High Dive's cool little sis DIVE back in September on the harbour arm and loved it so much we went back two days in a row for fish tacos and hot tortilla chips with their addictive homemade chilli crunch oil. We decided to head back to Margate for a night to check out High Dive and it was pitch perfect. The warm, attentive service, chic yet cosy ambiance, and deeply flavourful dishes made for yet another top notch experience. Not to mention the margs. The set menu is also fantastic value. Can't wait to head back soon!

Great service and the food was superb. Me and my other half both had the set menu. I had the crab tostada and the cheese quesadilla and my partner had the serloin steak taco and falafel taco plus the hash browns and black beans to share. I cannot fault any of it. Everything is gluten free except for two of the beer options which suited us perfectly. All washed down with a delicious margharita. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious modern Mexican food. Small and intimate dining area. Mostly small plates but food is easily shareable. Service was really friendly. Great drinks menu with good non-alc options too. A great meal and we all left full.

Absolutely amazing food 😍 The service was just as incredible! I usually struggle with eating out due to allergies, but every single dish was adapted so I could enjoy it all. I felt completely safe and looked after, which means so much. I’ll most definitely be back 🫶🏻

Beautiful space with exceptionally lovely food and people. My favourite place to unwind, with an evolving menu of seasonal tacos and a cheeky margarita or two. Definitely take advantage of their set menu.

Our Margate favourites are now serving up their usual flawless food, but now in a fully fledged restaurant space! A gorgeous spot, with the most beautiful decor, and the same DIVE standards you have come to expect from their harbour home. Do not sleep on securing yourself a reservation, and a slice of the elevated mexi-American madness that Ben, Kirstie and team will cook up for you!

Incredibly cute place with awesome staff and really innovative and delicious dishes. It’s such a great atmosphere, and a really good eye for details.

Fantastic punchy flavours - everything was a hit at our table. Best guac and hand made still warm tortilla chips you will find. Quesadilla unreal with a fantastic salty, cheesy hit. Crab tostada unreal. Fantastic spot for lunch with friends. I didnt really rate the drinks menu but thats fairly minor overall. (Im not into spicy drinks but my friend rated her Michelada). Wouldnt hesitate to return and good value for money.

I loved it here. Best chicken wings I've ever had. Incredible flavours combining the heat of chilli and the freshness of the coriander. Tom the waiter was a complete star.

Delicious food and lovely attentive service. Prices were pretty high though for the small portions. Crispy potatoes were unbelievable!

Perfect food, the flavours are amazing. Been here a few times and always lived up to expectations. Beautiful decor and even more beautiful staff!

After a false start using OPENTABLE (I'd recommend phoning) I eventually got a table in this bijou restaurant. I'd avoid the booths if you're on the larger size like me. However notwithstanding the 'cozy' setting. The food packed a big punch. Everything that I ate I'd recommend and there was enough left for me to try that will require a visit in the future. Everything that could be cooked fresh to ordered appeared to be and arrived fresh piping hot and looking appetising.

Love the decor, atomosphere and food is delicious - the flavour is incred!

Finally open and a great addition to the Dive Bar on the Harbour Arm. Still the same excellent food and drinks with a wonderfully creative christmas twist of confit turkey leg tacos. Looking forward to a return visit.

High Dive is a charming restaurant serving very tasty and freshly cooked Mexican inspired dishes. Super staff and quick service with delicious cocktails, well worth a visit if you can get a reservation. We were particularly appreciative that they allowed our dogs to sit with us, thank you for a lovely evening.

This place is fantastic. The food is beautifully crafted; the mole in the squid was so layered it practically had a narrative. The decor is gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The drinks are also delicious and the service friendly, informative and attentive. The bill was surprisingly low for the quality of the meal and experience. Highest recommendation.

One of our favourite spots in Margate, perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner! Service is impeccable, food always mouth watering delicious and the margaritas are lethal (in the best way) the space itself is beautifully decorated making any meal at any time of the day really special !

Wonderful experience at High Dive in Margate. Beautiful setting, relaxed ambience and the food was delicious. We share most items from the menu and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the home made tortilla chips, cucumber salad and chicken wings.

Food was lovely and I could tell that the ingredients used were of high quality as well as a lot of thought and skill went into creating this small menu and into preparation. However, it was overpriced for the size of portions and what you get for your money, which goes for both food and drinks. The interior was really nice, but like some other reviewers mentioned, there is very little room behind the tables. Would like to visit again, but sadly don't think we can afford it.

Beautifully designed restaurant in the centre of Margate. Mexican inspired menu with some interesting but slightly unusual combinations. We had the cheeseburger taco - admittedly it was tasty. Came for the fish taco but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu. The tortilla chips were freshly made and the guacamole was well seasoned. The bigger plates (lamb neck and chicken wings) were banging. Everything we ate had big punchy flavours. Margaritas were great too!

We were so excited to see Dive has a fab new space for the colder months when we visited Margate earlier this month. We had a fabulous meal on the harbour arm in October, and the menu in the new place is just as good. It was the perfect Saturday night, staff were incredibly welcoming and the food was delicious. It was a little dark inside, but all contributed to the atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back as soon as we can.

Really flavoursome food, well curated menu. We had a really lovely evening overall my only criticism is portion sizes are small for the price and the knifes are weirdly hard to use

We had a nice night, but sadly I was a bit disappointed by the food. It was quite overpriced for what you get, and what should be staples like the quesadilla was quite disappointing. Crispy potatoes were really nice though. Service was very friendly but they did forget one of our orders so ended up waiting a bit longer. Also - weirdly terrible knives, style over substance, they were useless.

Have visited two times now and feel there are pros and cons. Pros: -Absolutely delicious, fresh tortilla chips and guacamole. YUM! -Great cocktails -Cool atmosphere and happy to have such a cool place on the high street Cons: -Very pricey for what you get. Wish they would give 2 tacos per order and have more large plate options -Pretty adventurous, saw beef taco and ordered without reading description (my fault) thought it tasted funny and turns out it’s Ox heart! Confirmed it’s not my favorite dish… -Wish it was more spacious, they really cram you in! I’ll keep trying it out as the menu changes and I think they’ll keep improving!

Food is very good, no doubt about that, but the portions are tiny, the menuu doesn't explain the food, add on a 12.5% service charge it makes for an extremely expensive meal and it isn't worth it. The fixed table we were sat on was tiny and cramped, no good for 4 adults and the waiter wouldn't answer simple questions like 'is it spicy'. It's worth a visit if you're really in to Mexican food but beware of the price and you will be hungry afterwards.

The service and atmosphere I'd give it a solid 4.5/5. If you like tacos DO NOT go here, you'll be very disappointed. There's only 2 tacos on the menu and they were not authentic and they didn't taste that great which was so disappointing. Shouldn't have the word tacos in the title.

Since the serving portions are so small and expensive your expectations are set very high. Unfortunately I don’t think the food is good enough to justify the cost. I liked the atmosphere and the staff were friendly but we were a bit cramped in on quite a small table.

Have been twice now with a group of 4. I love Mexican food, but I was not blown away by the menu and found it all to be incredibly expensive for what it is. Love love love the dirty horchata, however. Sitting in the booths is cramped and uncomfortable, but the decor is lovely. I'm not sure if the space could be used more wisely, I understand it is a small area, but that shouldn't mean the customers feel packed in like sardines. Overall it is semi-decent food and atmosphere, all of which could be improved on and I really hope to come back in the future to see if any changes have been made
