Delicious food and excellent customer service EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Biscuits are big and fluffy, omelets are huge and cooked to perfection, mule chips are better than traditional hash browns, and the gravy is better than your grandmother’s. Honestly, it’s worth the wait in line and is the better than any restaurant around. This place is a gem and not to be missed.
This was such a sweet spot. I called my order in and even over the phone they were kind and efficient. My food was ready in about 8-10min, and it was absolutely delicious, and affordable. Will definitely be coming here for a sit down meal with the family soon!
Finally made it here last Saturday morning with my husband and wow, this place is definitely worth the hype! We got there just before 11am and waited about 15 minutes in line, which wasn’t bad since it gave us time to check out the menu. The place was packed but by the time we ordered, a cozy little booth opened up. I went with the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with a side of mule chips, and my husband ordered the mule basket. Our food came within five minutes. Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you love good breakfast. I’m already planning my next visit, that breakfast quesadilla has my name on it.
Cute little place and everyone is so friendly. You order when you come in and they bring you your food, so there’s not much of a waiter/waitress aspect but it’s still a very friendly atmosphere. and the food is incredibly good! I got a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and biscuits and gravy. My wife got the garden omelette with grits and a biscuit. The biscuits are fantastic and huge. I wasn’t that fond of the gravy but the rest was divine. Even the sweet tea was amazing. Definitely coming back here.
Okay, let me start by saying I had no idea what to expect from this place. I even looked up a few TikTok videos, and honestly, they didn’t really do it justice. I should mention upfront that I’m not a breakfast person—I very rarely eat breakfast, and when I do, it’s maybe once every few months. This place is nothing short of amazing. The quality and taste of the food are impeccable—it’s almost as if the flavors are frozen in time, back when food actually tasted good. Everything I had, from the biscuit to the grits and hash browns, was seasoned and prepared to perfection. I rarely take leftovers home, but I actually did with this breakfast, and even later, it still tasted incredible. This is a must-try for anyone who loves breakfast—you will not be disappointed. The ladies who bring out your food and assist you with anything you need are wonderful—friendly, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. I was so eager to dig in that I didn’t even get a picture of our food before we started eating! On top of all that, the prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are more than generous. As I mentioned, I even had leftovers to enjoy later. If it were possible, I would give this place 10 stars—but for now, five will have to do. I’ll definitely be back in the near future.
Even though it was Busy I got my food in a timely manner, and I ordered a lot. I appreciate the swift service. Love Their buttermilk biscuit, Definitely taste homegrown. You Won’t find a similar taste anywhere. In hindsight, a grilled cheese is basic and simple, but they made it into a different experience with There different levels of cheese in the sandwich. Sweet potato fries are scrumptious . Their grits boast a unique flavor taste more like gravy to me. I recommend dipping the biscuits in them. Waffle was average. The biscuit, corn beef and eggs were good. I will definitely return.
I love food and breakfast is definitely my favorite!! My husband suggested this place for me and a girlfriend to go to. This is a place where you order first then have a seat. I love its country farmhouse vibe inside. They have bar seating, booths, and tables outside. Today the weather was perfect. I got the fried chicken biscuit. I added cheese, an egg sunny side up, and got a side of gravy to put on top of the biscuit. I also got a side of cheese grits. Everything was so good! I had to get a to go box because I wasn’t able to finish it all. And for all the people who love the crunchy ice, they have that here too!
Expect the best diner experience! The biscuits are huge and fluffy. You will not leave here hungry. The prices are more than fair. I tend to be a 'sausage gravy snob' and prefer homemade, BUT the gravy here passes the test and then some. Please do yourself a favor and try this place. It is a little cramped inside, diner qualification. We did not have a problem finding a table inside. There is outside seating on the side and a few seats in front. You order at a counter register as you walk in. The menu is on the door or pick one up while in line. Better yet, look online.
Working ATL and stopped by for a quick breakfast. Didn't even notice it was a TV show spot...anyways, really good and quick breakfast. The Hash was amazing, grits were good, and coffee was hot. Its like 50/50 sit down and served self and served. Biscuits are good! ATMOSPHERE is just like, meh. Nothing crazy.
Hands down their country ham, egg, and cheese biscuit was the best I've ever eaten. And they are huge. I will be back and bring friends
Top notch spot for a great breakfast. The biscuits are twice the size of other restaurants. I personally had the bacon biscuit along with biscuit and gravy given I could not choose between the two I can highly recommend both as they were equally tasty and fresh. The service is counter service however the staff is extremely nice and friendly. I look forward to eating here again soon.
Went here for Fathers Day brunch and our first time experience was pleasant. Make sure you bring your appetite because portions are quite large. Food was great and service fast, considering the place was busy and most tables full. The building has the appearance of being a former Waffle House but the food quality exceeds it or Cracker Barrel by far!
This place is pretty good. I would say you should definitely try it. If you like a good homestyle meal. This is it!
I'll come back to add more photos because I will visit the restaurant again real soon. I have been here several times for breakfast and lunch. They staff is amazing. Visit a few times, and they will remember you. The restaurant is small but cozy. The food is...amazing!! The prices are just as good. During the last visit, I ordered the burger topped with coleslaw. It was yummy. I ordered the same thing the time before. That lets you know how good it is. Try it.
Came here for the first time and enjoyed the food! The only thing is the spicy biscuit was a little too salty but other than that everything was really good!
Had a great experience today at The Red Eyed Mule. The sign outside said it had been on Food Network so I knew I had to give it a try! I was not disappointed. Had the Dakota Burger and fries. It was great but after I saw others eating breakfast, I’ll definitely be trying that! Looking forward to going back next time I’m in town.
It's a unique popular restaurant in Marietta. Servers are very friendly. The food was awesome. Chicken and waffle were great as well as the burger. It is an open kitchen so I liked it. It has some nice cozy interior inside of it.
VERY cool place, I don't know about you, but I'm getting a little tired of all the chain restaurants in our area and seeing my hard-earned dollars go towards corporate America profits. It is so refreshing to see kind of a cool eclectic sort of dive restaurant with really good food that is priced very well. The Red Eyed mule is an old Waffle House that has been converted into a local restaurant. They serve breakfast all day long in addition to typical lunch fare of burgers, fries and sandwiches. I had a burger with a mixture of sweet potato fries and onion rings and they were very good. The food was juicy, fresh and flavorful. The fries were nice and crispy, not overcooked and the onion rings were just lightly. Tempura battered which is a nice change from the typical food service grade thick greasy battered rings. I will definitely be back and would definitely recommend this place to others! I think the atmosphere is interesting and fun and almost outdoes the food which is excellent!
What an amazing and awesome place for breakfast. Had this place on my to try places for a while and was finally in Marietta this morning. The cheese grits were top shelf. The country ham biscuit was huge and yet the photo does not do justice to the size. It was as big as the palm of my hand. The bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was like an omelette on bread. Definitely 10/10 on food and service.
First time here and enjoyed my entire visit. The staff was helpful and kind. It is a quintessential American restaurant. Gives me Route 66/country vibes. The food was amazing and fairly priced. I got the BLT with a fried egg and sweet potato fries. The place was clean . It's obviously a well loved place as nearly every table was taken. It is a smaller establishment. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating too. I will definitely be returning.
We had the corned beef hash, waffle and chicken, and burger. I was lucky enough to try my daughter's waffle and chicken. Both were delicious, the chicken texture and flavor was delicious 😋. The corned beef hash knocked my socks off! Highly recommend it! The grits were scrumptious and eggs cooked right! Didn't get a chance to try the burger maybe next time. The process of ordering and sitting down is kind of chaotic. We almost left because of that situation. I'm glad we stayed though. They do not have a kids menu which sort of sucks for parents.
Awesome breakfast!! Made to order fresh eggs thick bacon and home made biscuits. The cheese grits are great as well has the potato cakes. They also have outstanding gourmet hamburger choices for lunch. This new relocation for the Red Eyed Mule is perfect as they had our grown the old location. It still has the cost feel tho. The decor still accents the original feel. And the seating is great for small or lager parties. This will continue to be a favorite stop on the top of my list of restaurants.
Whoever answered the phone to take my order was so nice n polite! If u like Martin's biscuits - you'll love these! A little better IMO. I'll b back
Stopped by to grab breakfast on the way to a job. It was awesome!! The country ham biscuit I got was huge. They put two pieces of ham on it as well. I ordered a smoked sausage biscuit too, but had to save that for lunch.
Love the experience! We eat to fast to take pictures. But I got a bacon egg and cheese my hubby bucket feed and pancakes! Sooo good!
This place is amazing. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and they don't skimp on the meats. Their cheese grits are some of the best in the area. If you go for lunch, their burgers are great. They serve until early afternoon. It can also get crowded which only speaks to their popularity.
Easily the best biscuits in metro Atlanta. Its a little chaotic service wise but they were taking orders while in line to keep things moving. It gets busy and there's not a lot of space but they turn over the tables pretty quickly.
The sloppy slaw burger is literally one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten in my life. I miss certain things about the old location like the comfy vibes of it, and the fact that they had malt vinegar for the fries. But the food is still top notch and so is the service. Great spot.
Gret local place to get breakfast/brunch. Probably best known for their biscuits. Seating can often be tight and they stay busy but the service has always been great.
I love this place! The only thing I don't like about it is how packed it can be only because I don't like waiting that long! Lol If you like corned beef hash, this is the spot! On my mama! They're food is great overall though. 5🌠
This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. It’s got diner vibes but the biscuits are sooooo good. Maybe the best I’ve had and I make a point to go around and try as many as I can! The staff is always kind and on top of it. Even on a busy Saturday the service is excellent and they get people fed. We love it!
Community coffee and fresh pecan smoked corn beef with two over easy eggs, hash brown and homemade (huge) biscuit - great way to start the day!! I’d post a photo but I’ve already eaten it all 😊 Owner and staff very friendly and efficient. I’ll be back, and bring friends/family.
Not sure why I haven't been here before. You definitely get your money's worth. We ordered the Mule Basket, it has a little of everything, and we could not finish it. It was delicious, but a lot for the money. We'll definitely be back when in the area.
This was my first time eating at The Red Eyed Mule so, for a first impression they impressed. I had the Big Daddy Burger and sweet potato fries. They both were great. The restaurant has the the "waffle house"style interior. A counter to eat at and four seater tables. They do have a few large picnic tables outside to accommodate larger groups as long as the weather cooperates. I am looking forward to going back for breakfast.
Very welcoming lady at the front counter with southern hospitality and very charming taking my to-go order. Of course I had the chicken biscuit but there were other great breakfast options. Chicken biscuit was to die for. Will visit again soon to try other breakfast items. Probably the chicken and waffle next.
Very good restaurant !! I had the Jake Burger on Texas Toast and the food was fast to the table and hot. The fries were tasty too ! This is a place definitely worth your time by yourself or with a small group. Great spot in the heart of Marietta. This diner gets my highest rating 5/5.
Delish! I ordered The Mule basket-a huge portion and so good on a very cold day today. My husband ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich which was also outstanding. The biscuits were big and fluffy and one of the best we have had. And the mule chips! They are full of flavor. The service that we experienced was top notch. This team truly wanted each guest to have a great experience. Thank you for that-it seems to be so rare these days.
My experience at the Red Eye Mule was pretty cool overall. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere had a relaxed, laid-back vibe that made it a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast. The pancakes were a nice surprise—about 6 inches round, fluffy, and cooked just right. The Applewood bacon was delicious with that smoky flavor that paired well with the meal. On the flip side, the grits were a real letdown. They were heavily salted and seasoned with something that completely threw off the taste, making them almost inedible. It definitely took away from the balance of the plate. With a little more care in seasoning, the breakfast could have been much better. All in all, it’s a decent spot to grab breakfast with good potential, especially if you’re into a chill environment and solid pancakes and bacon. Hopefully, they can improve on the grits because everything else had promise.
Food was great. Service was wonderful. You order at the front and sit down at a table. They call out your name when the order is ready. Drinks are self serve. Coffee wasn't strong. Granulated sugar or artificial sweetener. Biscuits were good, just stuck to the top of mouth abit. Bacon cooked perfectly, i believe it was thick sliced. Fried chicken was juicy but could use abit more seasoning. Waffle itself didnt have much taste, but was yummy with syrup or their fruit preserves. Real butter. Gravy and grits were yummy. Eggs were overcooked for a fried over easy order. Portions are big and worth the prices. Decent amount of parking, most tables can only accommodate 2-4 people. Health inspection was a B: 83%. Overall, i would come back and would recommend. Will try the lunch options next time.
Been a long time since I ate at the Mule. Still good food. I used to visit them on Bells Ferry at their old location. Took my wife for her first visit.
Very Fast service. Food was good, great biscuit, but grits okay and too much oil on my eggs. I enjoyed the bacon. Food is fresh.
OK My Boyfriend Found this Spot From a IG Post and We Tried it out Let me 1st Say Don't Judge a Restaurant by its Cover This 1 I Would have easily Passed up On Because the Atmosphere seems abit old Or Outdated but Let me Tell you The Customer Service Was Phenonmenal!!!, The Cashier was Swift in taking our Orders the Cook Was Super Polite and Attentive He even Asked Did we Like the Food we Sat Right by the Grill and Everything Looked and Smelled Fresh and Hot and Tasty 😋 I Would Eat A Thousand Mule Chips And the Quesadilla was Excellent Very Eggy & Cheesy tho but Scrumptious, We Were Very Happy with the Price of Food and Would Actually Return I Recommend this Establishment My Hubby and I Were Amazed!!!!🤗I Gave the Food a 4 Star Because it wasnt many Vegan Options or Salad on the Menu this Place is for a Heavy Eater big Portions for small $$
I had the burger with fried egg. The toast was the best part. I'd probably get the burger without the chili next time. The fries were just ok. It's a bit pricey for what you get. I need to stop by sometime for breakfast. Stoped in today for a chicken egg and cheese buiscuit. It taste great but come hungry because it's huge.
Our 1st visit saw a TikTok of the famous chicken biscuits. And had to drive over. We just moved here from Alabama to Dallas. Order 2 chicken biscuits Togo. The food was fantastic even after the drive back home. But there was only one chicken biscuit. We shared it. So definitely check your bag.
I really wanted to like this place and the biscuits alone were enough to love it. The functionality of the place is so off though. Being a first time customer I was so confused. I sat down at the bar and waited 10 minutes and no one said anything to me. What is this system? You get in line to order and then scramble to find a seat? Doesn't make sense. What an I tipping for when I pay if there's no wait staff? And the menus are where you order. So I wait for 5 minutes, get to the front of the line and have to scan the menu for 10 seconds to figure out what I want cause I don't want to piss off the people behind me. Again, makes no sense.
Two egg breakfast is incorrectly priced. If you order this meal it is $13 and I was told it is because the individual eggs have an upcharge. Also, it took 36 minutes to get this meal and the sausage was already cold.
No one greets you and tells you where to order. The order sign is very easy to miss so if you miss that, you’ll be a sitting duck. I ordered a burger with onion rings. For $6 onion rings, they were the worst I ever had. They were fried up and burnt. Will not be returning to this place.
Been there twice. Will never go again. Walked in and staff acted like was a ghost. Sat at the bar and was ignored. No offer of a menu. No acknowledgment whatsoever. Worst restaurant experience ever. I recommend avoiding this place like the plague. Clearly they accommodate the regulars and have no interest in new customers. Don’t waste your time with this place.
I love the restaurant, food is excellent but they don not advertise that after you buy a gift card it will be extra charge for the physical card itself. I bought a $15 gift card + 1.50 Custom Amount = 16.50 +0.09 taxes my card got charged 16.59 for this gift card. I never see a restaurant will charge money for the plastic card and taxes. Get it together people!!
