It was our first time attending Brooklyn Cafe. Even though, we did not have a reservation, we were still seated. The place was crowded and our waiter was very friendly. The food was good and my first time ordering Jack’s Creole Chicken and Sausage with Basmati rice. My husband ordered the Brooklyn Famous Reuben sandwich. Plus, we got the Georgia’s Best Fried Tomatoes. We would definitely go back if we are ever in the area.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Friendly attentive staff. A good reasonably priced wine menu. The food is outstanding. I had the Creole chicken, Italian sausage & rice. I would get it again… and again.

Great food and service! We drove all the way from Tennessee to take our son to dinner here to celebrate his birthday. Karl, our server was amazing!!

This was our first visit, and everything was delicious. Ella was amazing—so patient, incredibly helpful, and spot-on with her recommendations for appetizers, entrées, and wine. We will definitely be back to see her. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brooklyn Cafe in Sandy Springs is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is incredibly inviting – it truly feels like a neighborhood spot where everyone is genuinely happy to be. Every server and bartender treats you like family, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. If you're a burger connoisseur, prepare to be amazed. Their burger, ordered medium with sharp cheddar cheese and a generous slathering of garlic aioli, is hands down the best burger in Atlanta. Seriously, it's a game-changer. And while you're there, you absolutely must try the crab soup. It's rich, flavorful, and packed with lump crab – simply amazing. To top it all off, the entertainment is fantastic. On my last visit, there was this one crazy patron sitting at the bar who had me laughing my head off the entire time. He was downright hilarious, adding another layer of enjoyment to an already perfect evening. If you get a chance to eat here, don't hesitate. Enjoy that incredible burger, savor the exquisite crab soup, and soak in the warm, welcoming vibe. Brooklyn Cafe is a must-visit in Sandy Springs!

The food at this restaurant is delicious! And not only that the waiters and waitresses are so kind and helpful. Our food came fast and wow, it was absolutely delicious. 🤤 Highly recommend the salmon, 🐟 any salad, and the artichoke… Yum!!! 😋 our kids also really enjoyed their kids meals, the grilled chicken and the cheeseburger. 🍔 Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you to our AWESOME waiter! See pics. 😋❤️👏🏻

The food was fresh, full of taste, and it came out quick! The service from start until finish was incredible! I also enjoyed the personal touch of the name plates at the bar. I didn't get to ask the bartender for the relevancy, I just appreciate the detail.

🏆 Get the Jack’s Creole Chicken and Shrimp!!!!! It is amazing. My family is from Louisiana and I was blown away how incredible this tasted. It’s actually a top 3 favorite dish from restaurants in this area. Ambiance wise, it’s a bit of an older crowd. But the service is good and the food is amazing. Very impressed.

Great laid back spot. Came here because the Ruben looked amazing and it did not disappoint! 10/10 and the fries went well with it, perfectly crispy. Will be back for another Ruben

My crab cake salad was AMAZING! One of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. My cocktail was a little strong but hey, that’s okay. Service was a little absent but the food made up for it by far!

Absolutely enjoyed my time, I've lived in Sandy Springs for a few years and had no idea this was here! Smoked salmon was phenomenal. I had the feature of the day it was a blackened grouper with a cream sauce of some sort, grilled shrimp, mash and broccoli. I loved the white chocolate bread pudding, it was nice and hot. My friend ordered keylime pie which I'm generally not a fan of but I tried hers and it was really good because of the crust for me, it was almost like a cross between ginger snap and gram crackers with nuts.....just simply delicious. I will be back.

Lunch today with a group of 6 at the Brooklyn Cafe in Sandy Springs This place has been here for close to 40 years and it was PACKED Lobster Bisque was a big hit for those who ordered it I ordered a Classic Rueben and could only eat half of it Stacked high with corn beef and the rye was excellent too Fries were hot and well seasoned Fried Green Tomato’s were also tasty Marissa was our server-she did a GREAT job on timing, follow up and the like Downside: parking in this shopping center is HORRIBLE. Had to park in a deck down the street. Would I go back: YES in spite of the parking situation

This is the definition of neighborhood cuisine. The place was bustling with locals. Definitely recommend a reservation as even with one it can be a few minutes wait as they seat people. The food was exquisite. Each appetizer and entree was unique and very tasty. With how busy it was, the waiters were a little slow to our table but once there the service was great. Overall, definitely recommend it!

Great spot if you like steak, lamb and seafood! Party of 5, we enjoyed the avocado egg rolls, trout dip and the fried tomatoes for appetizers. Main courses that were delicious were the fish tacos, Sams lamb chops, filet mignon salad, and the specials of grouper filet and new york strip! Topped it all off with white chocolate bread pudding... oh so good!

An original and cozy restaurant with excellent food and drink options. They have a fully stocked bar with several excellent wine and bourbon options. The atmosphere is light but energetic and the staff was very quick and courteous. They have food options from appetizers to entree salads and sandwiches. I had the Brooklyn's famous Reuben, which was the absolute BEST Reuben I have found in the Atlanta area, with quality meat cooked perfectly, excellent dressing and a gigantic portion size. The fries were a bit generic but still good, but the key lime pie is unlike any other I've ever had and it makes me wonder if other key lime pies are just a cheap imitation of this one. Aside from needing to be rolled to my car afterwards, I had no problems with my experience and thoroughly enjoyed it, I highly recommend.

Wow! First time dining here and I will definitely return- the atmosphere, food, and service were excellent. They have outdoor seating as well as a large indoor dining area (mix of tables and booths); they also have a spacious bar area. We had a 5:30 reservation and I noticed by 6:30 the dining room was packed! We ordered the shortribs with carrots and mashed potatoes, avocado eggrolls, caesar salad, wine, and a dirty martini. Everything was prepared perfectly and delicious. Our server was gracious and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better experience- we left fat and happy!

Wow - what a great treat! The food was excellent. We had dinner here with friends tonight and I’m sad I didn’t know about this place sooner. It was very crowded but we got seated and served relatively quickly. Our server was obviously slammed but she made sure all the drinks were filled and the food came out hot and delicious. We finished the meal sharing massive slices of key lime pie - probably the best I’ve ever had. What a great experience- thank you!

Food was yummy! I highly recommend the Avocado Eggrolls. BIG hit with our group. It is pricey and there is not kids menu so also no kids portions.

"Feeling a bit hungry? I would strongly suggest indulging in their juicy, flavorful burgers or perhaps treating yourself to their incredibly appetizing fish sandwich for a truly satisfying lunch experience. When it comes to dinner, I can't help but sing praises about their absolutely delightful crab cakes - they are truly irresistible! Moreover, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the exceptional variety and quality of their wine selection."

Popularity often accompanies restaurants with a consistent menu and recipe. Brooklyn Cafe is no different. Prior to my first visit here, I learnt that the menu had been maintained for over 20 years making customers aware exactly what the menu offers every time they visit. I ordered the avocado egg rolls as my appetizer which I almost rued until I tried it with the sauce. The combined taste was a winner, and I gobbled up the rest in no time. That was my first time taking avocado made in that manner. I enjoyed the rest of the meal, particularly relishing the touch of class the staff showed by offering me their wonderful key lime pie with a candle as this was a pre-birthday dinner with my friends. The atmosphere, too, looked serene, pristine, well-designed with paintings, and cordial, allowing non-obtrusive conversations among the many diners. Overall, a fine first-time experience.

Brooklyn Cafe has a great selection of salads, sandwiches, soups & entrees. Our party of 3 arrived early & glad we did, as the place filled up with local diners, many could have actually have been from Brooklyn! Indoor & outdoor seating - ceiling fans outside too. Bar with large wi e selection & handicap accessible. Use the reservation apps when you go to avoid a wait.

My husband & I found this gem by happenstance. We waited a few minutes for a table and enjoyed every dish served. It was so good, we planned to come back soon for a birthday celebration.

Food was absolutely delicious! Service was amazing! One of the best meals I ever had (Jack’s Creole Chicken, Sausage, and Rice). My wife loved the burger and fries. The burger had a delicious grilled flavor. 10/10 experience at Brooklyn Cafe.

So much better than I could have imagined. It's not just another cafe. Avocado grilled with crab and the fish tacos were amazing

They welcomed my Great Dane, and turned on the heater on the deck for us. Our server Courtland, went out of his way to be kind to her. He was also enthusiastic about his work, and attentive to serving with joy. It was a great experience!

Brooklyn Cafe is one of the very best restaurants in all of Atlanta/Metro Atlanta. I have been going there for more than 20 years and they consistently provide an excellent experience with delicious food every single time, great service and an amazing ambience. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, you will find yourself immersed in palatable pleasure that is not too painful on your wallet! There is a reason this restaurant has been around for so long. It is a local staple for Sandy Springs and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat in that area. I am a fan for life!

We attended a private event here and the food was delish. They had vegetarian and pescatarian options. They also happily created delish mocktails.

We had a new server, Jae, who was absolutely fabulous! She was new, to us, and made our dinner wonderful!! Jae made the difference between any dinner and a memorable meal… can’t wait to go back, as we’re regulars. 🥰🤗

We decided to have a Valentine’s Day lunch here, it was the best choice we could have ever made. Our food was hot and delicious! We actually sat at the bar area and Cindy was amazing and even gave lots of recommendations because it was our first time there. You definitely want to visit the Brooklyn Cafe @ Sandy Springs Circle 5⭐️👍🏼👍🏼

Our family has made a terrible mistake. We have lived in Atlanta for over 5 years, have been Sandy Springs residents for all of those years, and until recently, we had never visited Brooklyn Cafe. However, we have redeemed ourselves, and was it ever worth it! My son and I split a generously portioned hamburger that more than filled both of us up, served with a side of thick-cut fries (they aren’t fresh-cut, but they’re the good frozen Cisco kind). We requested the burger be cooked medium well, and the kitchen did a great job of executing it by not cooking every last bit of moisture out of the burger, resulting in a shot-put disc wedged between two pieces of bread. The wife had the secret, but not so secret “off the menu item” of crab cake and salad. When seated at a Brooklyn Cafe, look around your table and count how many people are eating the crab cake and salad; if it’s less than 70% I’d be shocked. We’re told it's a regular favorite, and we believe it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brooklyn Cafe customers don’t consume 25% of all crab cakes in Atlanta. Service was great. Food was great. Vibes were great. We’ll definitely be back sooner than 5 years.

Exceptional food and friendly service, with dispatch. We sat at the bar, as there was a wait for tables. The food came in quickly, and was delicious. The fries weren't hot, but they were still good. The bar tender was funny, and engaging, without being pushy or over the top. I got the Monster Turkey, and it was excellent 👍🏽. Mounds of tender turkey, presented well, cheese , tomato, pickles, and lettuce.

Certainly not a place for a quick bite. I don’t come here often but, I think every time I eat here, it turns into a long lunch. I’m not sure why but most of their clientele seem like they’re retirees without hurry so…. Foods and service are great. My favorite is their steak sandwich which is one of their lunch specials. The parking lot is always packed and tight.

I was looking for some bread pudding and stumbled upon Brooklyn Cafe. Well, of course I had to eat dinner before dessert. I ordered the crab cake salad and a piece of bread pudding w/ a cup of coffee! The bread pudding was delish but I would prefer ice cream instead of whipped cream for a topping.

J

Food was great. We had the avocado egg rolls. The blackened chicken sandwich. Service was slow. There were a lot of people during lunch hour. So get there early.

The food was really good we got the short ribs & lamb chops. The meat was cooked perfectly and the mash potatoes were some of the best I've had. I just wish the temperature of the food was consistent. My food was perfect but my husband's food (the short rib) was room temperature. The service was fine, nothing extraordinary. I like the ambiance, it was pretty cozy...I would go again.

I have never had a bad meal until last Thursday. The salmon was very undercooked. Think sushi with grill marks. The trout which my wife always gets was also not as good as usual. And everything seemed to take longer than usual to come out. Our waiter, Benjamin, was engagi g and personable. We have eaten here many times and as I mentioned previously, it's always been good. I am going to caulk it up to an off night.

K
Kenneth Sherrill

The chicken sandwhich was pretty tasty and the bartender was very nice. Prices were a bit high and the menu did not have a lot to choose from.

F
Fred Blackwell

Had a piled high and thick Reuben sandwich with fries for lunch. Ate half and took the other half home for dinner. Also had the lobster bisque and thought it could have been thicker with more lobster bits, but the taste was enjoyable.

J
John Hatch

Solid food- smoked salmon appetizer, gumbo and crab cakes were all very good. Bread pudding was fine- I realize now that the key lime pie appears to be the standout dessert. I like the ambiance as well- feels old-school. Pricing feels pretty fair in my opinion. Reliable spot for a sit-down upscale meal that doesn't break the bank.

J
Jaymes Williams

Food was really good, and the portions were generous. Our server was a little scattered at times, but overall they were attentive and kept things moving. Brooklyn Cafe seems to position itself as a moderately high-end spot, but the vibe doesn’t quite match that. The biggest issue was up front, it got crowded at the door, the hostess was slow to respond, and seating took longer than it should have. That said, the prices felt fair for what you get when considering quality and experience.

J
John D. Reaves

My wife and I have been to this restaurant many times over the past dozen or so years. She has had lunch there with friends many times as well. Never disappointed. If you go during peak times, know that a reservation is well advised. It always seems to be packed during dinner hour. Despite that, atmosphere is great, service, though sometimes taxed by the crush, is excellent. The food is good, not great. Don't go expecting to be wowed. Keep your expectations reserved. Dishes are reasonably well thought through, prepared well, flavorful, priced accurately for what they are but not particularly creative. And although they'll never attain a Michelin star, you'll have a pleasant experience and a decent meal.

J
Joe MacKenzie

Above average, casual diner with surprisingly high prices for the quantity of food. I left hungry, but the food was tasty. Don’t expect great food, but the atmosphere is bustling. Many older patrons? Looks like a spot for regulars, instead of new visitors. Not much of a vibe, and a bit loud. Good- but not great it seems. One of those spots that likely grows on you over time, but not, definitely not a date spot.

Extremely disappointing dinner. I ordered a special which was scallops and risotto. But the risotto was like cream of wheat wth a touch of sweet potatoes on top and a breaded fried tomato slice and two slices of mozzarella. It was not risotto. The scallops were slightly under cooked but ok. It was a strange combination and didn't work. I should have sent it back.

My family ate here on New Year's Eve and we were disappointed. My wife and I have eaten here often and have always liked it. Our waitress, Celia was slow to bring out water and drinks. She didn't know our food was ready to deliver, because she said that. However what was most disappointing was when we got the check. The appetizers were wrong and I asked her to correct it. Her response was, "It is only $2 more, you want me to change it?" I said I did, so when she returned with the correct check, as I looked it over, she told me it was $2 less. I was extremely unhappy with her response instead of saying she would make the change right away. I have never had a response like hers before and I feel it was rude and dishonest.

M

My girlfriend and I went there yesterday evening. Wait staff is all about tricking you into an up-charge. Ordered two entrées, was asked what sides would we like and assumed a side was included, waitress lists them all off, we pick our sides and there’s a three dollar additional charge for each. Menu does not convey à la carte.
