Osteria Mattone

My wife and I had a memorable experience dining outdoors for a Saturday date night. We were not expecting so many children for a Saturday evening, but we managed to keep it intimate on their outdoor patio next to a warm fire. This is some of the best scratch-made Italian food I’ve had in over 20 years living in the Atlanta area. The service is outstanding and welcoming. I highly recommend dining at Osteria Mattone in beautiful downtown Roswell.

I went here for my 5th anniversary and this was my first time here and definitely not my last!! Our server Shannon was exceptional!! I’ve never met such an attentive and did an amazing job explaining the different dishes to us!! I absolutely loved her service and would come back just for it again!!

I've eaten here once before and the second visit was last night, 10/27. The food was as great as I remembered, but I have to say the flavors seemed so much richer because of the kindness I saw all around me. What you guys did to empower that group of young people--giving them the opportunity to participate and experience the satisfaction of a day's hard work was really sweet. Everyone has a gift. Thank you for allowing us to witness some wonderful people open theirs. Service was excellent!

Our server Aubrin was delightful. She made our experience memorable. Loved the scallops and beet salad. Will definitely come back again!

Shannon served us and was absolutely wonderful! My family loved the experience and honestly the food tasted better because of the service. She’s funny and helpful, a great joy to have as a server!! If you want the breakfast potatoes come before 1pm though

I had a great time! My bartender Lo took excellent care of me. She helped me find the Antinore Super Tuscan and it went really well with the delicious Bolognse!

I came here on my own for my Birthday, and I didn’t leave disappointed. The atmosphere and the service, despite the efforts of some unsavory other guests, were incredible and exactly what I was looking for. The food, caccio e pepe and the bread pudding, was incredible, the pasta was light and cooked perfectly, the sauce was well balanced and bold but not overpowering. The bread pudding was not overly rich, the presentation was simple yet elegant, and it was nice to have it brought out with a candle. I will definitely be spending my next Birthday with them, and hopefully many more. I would highly recommend them to anyone, not only for special occasions.

My wife and I spent Valentine’s Day at Osteria Mattone, and it was truly a special experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding. The homemade pasta was absolutely amazing and easily one of the highlights of the evening. You can genuinely taste the quality and care in every bite. What really elevated the experience, though, was our waitress, Shannon. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and struck the perfect balance of professional, friendly, and genuinely funny. Her personality and attentiveness made the night feel even more memorable. The atmosphere was peaceful and intimate, with dimmed lighting that created a warm, romantic setting without feeling overdone. It was exactly what we were hoping for on Valentine’s Day. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for a date night or any special occasion.

Osteria has fabulous food all the time. But the Happy Hour is awesome if you want a drink and snack after work (M-F, 5:00-7:00). I stop by regularly for a wine/beer and amazing small pizza. It's especially enjoyable when Phoebe is the bartender (the other bartenders at Osteria are good, too). She keeps an eye out so I rarely have to ask for service. She is also very engaging and upbeat. You can tell she really cares about her customers (unlike too many places). Phoebe always makes it a pleasant experience!

This is a very cozy restaurant with exposed brick, wood floors, and excellent food! The calamari appetizer was a hit. All of the handmade pastas were fantastic with our favorite being the mushroom orrechiette dish. However, I thought the desserts stole the show. The pistachio cake and the caramel bread pudding were amazing! And out server was fantastic. Great all around experience!
