My husband and I came for breakfast and had such a lovely experience! The decor is charming and cozy, with a warm farmhouse style that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. We ordered the Eggs Benedict – perfectly poached eggs with a rich hollandaise over soft, flavorful bread. The crispy pork belly and beans were a standout: the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right amount of crisp, paired beautifully with the seasoned beans. For dessert, we shared the strawberry and Nutella crepes – absolutely delicious! Light, fresh, and indulgent without being too sweet. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted homemade with love. Definitely a new favorite breakfast spot for us. Highly recommend!
WINNING. Great breakfast experience in Massapequa - Been waiting to get this spot for years and they didn't disappoint! The overall feel of the restaurant is cozy and warm. The server was helpful, knowledgeable, and offered positive recommendations, which is a big plus! My wife and I both went for the Short Rib Omelets, which were INCREDIBLE! HUGE portions and extremely tasty. I went for the goat cheese in mine, my wife went classic American cheese. Home fries were crispy and delicious - Presentation was on point. You bring people here to leave an impression! I also ordered a side of the Crispy Pork Belly - WORTH EVERY PENNY! Very highly recommended!
Been here a bunch of times. Always good food. Presentation is always on point, well plated. Staff is always great. We had Angelina and she was on point, going from table to table with a smile and great service. For the most part when I go, I always get a seat, as there is a fair amount of seating there. High in my rotation of breakfast spots in Nassau county. 👍👍
Pretty cute spot with plenty of vegetarian options. The portion sizes are pretty decent and the food is very yummy. I ordered the vegan scramble with eggs and Ellie crepe. The Ellie crepe was delicious, there were marshmallows fluff drizzled all over the crepes. The combination of bananas, marshmallows and peanut butter was perfect. I also loved how hearty the breakfast platter is.
Jam is an excellent Diner from great food to cozy atmosphere with great service. The Huevos Rancheros came in a great portion alongside some amazing crispy home fries. And the solo banna candied walnut pancake was also great. With a well diverse menu, this spot has something for everyone and I would easily return here.
Heard great things about this place and they did not disappoint :). Traditional breakfast with a artisan chef touches. From the waffles, omelettes, or eggs Benedict. All have a unique play on these old classics and your only challenge will be which on to pick :). Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and standard prices. I'm sure it's crowded on a weekend. But during the week was pleasantly quick and only half crowded. Will come again soon!
Jam is an absolute hidden gem for those seeking a delightful spot to eat. From the moment I walked in, the service was not just courteous but genuinely kind, creating an inviting atmosphere. The room screamed freshness, adding to the overall experience. Now, let's talk about the food – the eggs and bacon were made perfectly, prepared with love clearly. But the star of the show was undoubtedly the blueberry pancake. It wasn't just a pancake; it was a delightful revelation of taste, with the perfect blend of sweetness and texture. This place is more than just a spot for a meal; it's an experience. The attention to detail in both service and food quality is commendable. If you're in Massapequa, Jam is a must-visit – a true hidden gem waiting to be discovered for its warm service and mouthwatering food.
So many breakfast places out there for the basic. This place shocked me. The flavors of this small place. Wow! Sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. The waiter was awesome and not pushy. Pricing per quality….this is worth it. Ordered the spanikopita omelet, crispy pork belly with eggs and beans, and a side of blueberry pancake. The spanikopita omelet was a delicious omelet with loads of spinach inside. The marbled bread that it came with was the best thing. The breakfast potatoes were perfect. Lets get to the pork belly. Wow for breakfast no way! The beans were super tasty and not to overly sweet. The pork belly was so thick! You really couldn’t tell what it was when it came out. Eggs cooked to perfection in whatever style you want. The blueberry pancake was delicious and the blueberries seemed real. They were actually blue inside. Just like when I went blueberry picking a while back. The pancake was not fluffy….which was amazing! Will definitely go back here. Shame they don’t take reservations. But their flavors are on point!
I absolutely love this place! We were looking for a brunch place and just happened to stroll in here... glad we did. Wait time was about 15min around noon on a Saturday. The food was delicious portions were great. My daughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes, my husband ordered steak and eggs and I ordered eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon.
Great breakfast spot with a fun menu. The steak & eggs empanadas are fantastic but the portion is a bit small. Blueberry, brie, & thyme pancake was great. Will be back soon to try more.
First time at Jam. It was a great experience. Food was delicious! Service was great, we had Norris, she was a wonderful waitress. Definitely will return.
A Sunday morning at 9:30. This was my first time at Jam. I came here last year and couldn’t wait the hour wait. I was determined to come grab a table today and I did with a 20 minute wait. Boy am I glad we came!! The food was ✨chefs kiss✨ Absolutely loved everything. COVID STANDARDS; every table seated max 4 people because this town is now in the yellow zone. My party was of 5 and they offered another table to seat us separately which was totally fine. All employees wore masks. Booths were separated by a plastic board. Very clean! Our server was absolutely delightful. He was kind and respectful. Cant wait to go back soon!!
Great place, lovely atmosphere….service was fantastic. Food was delicious. I wanted to get this review out fast but I’ll put up a more detailed review on next visit!
It is hard to find a good diner now a days, and after all these years the Massapequa Diner is still amazing. The diner is beautiful and classy, the staff is unbelievably kind and on top of their game and the food is delicious!! Waitress Christina is the bomb, she’s truly incredible!
Gina is the best server in this place! She is truly so such a sweetheart and always gives my friends and I the best service every time we come in. She is very attentive and fast. Thank you for being you, we appreciate you so much Gina!
Our waitress Sandra was absolutely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. She got everything right, checked in at just the right times, and had such a warm energy. Truly made our meal even more enjoyable. Thank you!
I’ve been coming here for years. The food is pretty good and very convenient, but the actual reason is because of Sandra. Amazing would be an understatement. She always makes me feel like I’m at home and never makes one of my crazy orders
Came here with my mother and my mother in law and we had such an amazing experience! The server sondra was so sweet! The food was amazing! Get the steak panini it was to die for! We got three different sandwiches and we wanted to share, the cook was so accommodating that he cut all of our sandwiches in three! We are definitely coming back!
This is one of the best diners on Long Island. They took very good care of my family during the covid lockdowns. The food is always fresh and you can't go wrong with anything you order. The coffee is also very fresh morning, noon and night. They do have a late night menu with a wide variety of foods that are half price. They also do their own baking on premises. George and his wife are especially awesome. Pepino, our favorite writer always takes good care of us. If you are looking for a high quality, reasonably priced diner, this is the place to come. There are a lot of diners in this area but this is the only one that is consistently great!
THE BEST SEAFOOD SOUP I'VE EVER HAD!!!! My husband had the Pizza Burger and LOVED IT. I was excited to see they had the Pizza Burger, I've never seen them outside of Ohio. 🥰 Coffee was on point too. The Diner was beautiful, clean, and the exact idea of what I want for my business in the future.
Food was pretty good. Got the huevos ranchero and a make your omelette. Drinks were the espresso martini and chocolate hazelnut iced coffee (spiked). Drinks were great. Service was excellent. Best service we’ve had here- we’ve been here a handful of times. Norris was super friendly and welcoming. All her suggestions were spot on. Would definitely come back and request her if she’s working. She elevated the experience significantly.
It was good food. The service was great. My husband tried three solo pancakes (Regular, Cookie Dough, and Blueberry Brie with Thyme) I had the Braised Rib Omelette. He liked the Cookie Dough pancake the best. The Omelette was very hearty and I would suggest sharing if possible. I didn't care for the home fries to me they were very bland. We only waited about 20 minutes to be seated which wasn't bad. Overall it was a nice place and I would go back.
The service was terrible. We had 8 people and jammed on a table for 4. The waitress refused to give us two tables and refused to give us more chairs! Most people love the food. The vegan and vegetarian food was very good too! Big parking lot! The atmosphere was friendly overall. Well, we appreciate the settings. We had a good time!
Have been wanting to try Jam for a while now. Decided to go on Election Day after voting. Our server was Noris. SHE'S AMAZING!!! Very attentive and super knowledgeable about the menu. One of the most amazing servers I've ever seen. The food was great too (pics attached). We were there for breakfast/brunch. We are 100% coming back with the rest of our family.
Hubby and I ventured to south from Queens NY to find out what's the rave about the place since we are breakfast/brunch people. We don't mind driving for delicious meals. Arrived at around noon and of course, there's a wait. A nice young woman took my name/cp and told me that I will get a text when it's our turn , a 15 minute wait ( maybe ). A lot of people so I don't think only a 15 minute but i estimated a 30 minute wait and I was right. Not a biggie because we are prepared to wait. Once seated, the server came quick and we asked for coffee/water. Please do this if you want water to be served because they aren't a diner so there will be no support staff to go around to fill out your coffee or water. I like the seating arrangement because tables are spaced well. They have some booths too. Place is very clean and there are 2 bathrooms. We ordered short rib omelette, homemade corned beef hash , banana walnut pancake and blueberry pancake. All nicely presented... I enjoy to have a meal like that otherwise what's the point of eating out , but of course , that's me. My husband find the short rib greasy. Pancakes are very good , cooked the way I like it. Had blueberry, Brie, thyme pancake and banana walnut pancake. Both solo servings and perfect serving for us. The Brie and thyme are on top of the pancake... not cooked with it and same with banana / walnut. The homemade corned beef hash was excellent and the highlight of the meal. Yes, we will be back for sure. Server was attentive.
Came here for brunch a few weeks ago and was seated outdoors around the side. I love how there are so many great brunch options on the menu. The Nutella crepes were really good, and came with a lot of strawberries. The avocado toast with caramelized onions was just ok, the onions were not caramelized at all, and it took away from the dish. Overall, I would come back and try something else!
Food was good and the service was fast. Several servers worked together to take care of us.
An absolute staple in the Massapequa area. Great for breakfast, especially on Sunday morning. Nice staff. Quick service. Always a line but it moves quickly. Reasonably priced. Credit cards are accepted. Seen on Netflix: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee ☕️. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.
The first time I came here I got the chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict. It was good and I enjoyed myself. I wish they’d have a more robust coffee selection. They just have coffee. No specialty flavors, no lattes. The second time I went, I got the strawberry French toast (2 Pieces of French toast) and an OJ, my bf got the cinnamon roll french toast (one small cinnamon roll in French toast batter) I got a side of bacon, he got a milk and a hot coco - $50 for such small portions and some drinks. It was all delicious but half the meal shouldn’t be the dollop of whipped cream on top
I ordered a Tuna Melt, I got the 2 sides of a toasted English muffin with a scoop of cold tuna salad, and a slice of American cheese. The whole thing was put under a heating element long enough to slightly melt the cheese... disappointing, I was hungry and not in the mood to wait for it to be done correctly, so I ate it... got fries and brown gravy which was good.... and the cold slaw is always good
I came in at dinner rush and waited not too long and food was good ! The host and cashier up front great and bus boys! Come to our server beacuse of separate check and look on pick faces of couple of friends the server didn’t check up that much to we chase him down for refills and the check and didn’t even offer desert ! Did a ten min soup and salad to table before regular food! Even ask him not to do that! I understand it was dinner rush but didn’t see if food was wrong or under cook! Happy holidays to rest of the staff that work in that diner they good job!
Not worth your money. First, I ordered a Chicken Ceasar Salad Wrap with fries. The waitress brought out my fries and said “this will keep you busy”. I thought it was odd that my order was coming out separately considering I thought it was one meal. Then, she brings out a Chicken Ceasar Salad (not wrap). I thought ok no big deal. I wasn’t going to crash out over a tortilla. Well- the salad tasted purely like onion and garlic powder. The chicken was as bland as could be. I put it to the side and the waitress walks past our table around 3 times and didn’t say anything. Finally she comes around and says “are you taking that to go” and I explained how I ordered a wrap not a salad, and I simply did not like the salad and wasn’t going to be eating it or taking it to go. She got defensive and my boyfriend stepped in saying that I did indeed order a wrap not a salad. Anyways, I don’t know how you manage to mess up a ceasar salad. She then walked away with the plate and said “i’ll take it off the bill”. I was never asked if I wanted something else or anything. The next thing we were asked is “do you want the tab?” As my boyfriend and I are looking at the tab, we saw we were charged over $7 for a side of fries. Personally, I will not be returning. The staff who seated us (2 gentlemen) and the bussers were all pleasant. The waitress however was not.
GO TO ANOTHER DINER! Bunch of retired widows - highest tax bracket - most disposable income with least amount of drive to cook anymore will not be returning. Your loss! While the food was fine and the service fine, I was so annoyed that they wouldn't give us a corner booth. That, we were told, was for a party of 7 (we were 5). Really? No party sat there for 2 hours! I was tempted to leave. I can't imagine people being so unaccommodating. But I didn't want to make everyone get back into their car to drive to any other diner! There are still too many good ones to be bothered with Massapequa. I won't be returning. I will take my diner-frequenting butt to the Lindenhurst, Embassy, Carle Place, Nautilus, Oconee, Infinity, Grand Stage, Colonie - any place else that can be nicer to customers.
Very disappointed! I gave this establishment another opportunity after going there before since this diner is only a mile from me so the convenience is nice but the second time it only got WORST Food was AWFUL..service was just ok ..don’t waste your time or money
