Went there for breakfast. The Pumpkin Pancakes and Greek Omelette were good. Our server was nice and courteous. The menu has many good options, will go back and try some of them.

Stopped in for breakfast while car was being serviced. We had Belgian waffle w/ egg whites and sausage; and pecan pancakes w/ egg whites and crispy bacon. They know what crispy bacon means and is supposed to look like! Everything was delicious and the peppermint tea was one of the best cups of tea I’ve had in a while.

The Italian burger and patty melt were fantastic. Took half home. What a great find on Sunrise Highway.

A classic diner with amazing food! My parents go here weekly and are treated like family. The owners are incredibly kind people, and they even have AMAZING baked goods as well. Best turkey burger around, and all of their sandwiches don’t disappoint. The rainbow cookie cake ….. just try it for yourself. It’s phenomenal

This will always be on our little spot on the way back and 4th. Homemade soups were phenomenal. Stop in if you haven't already. It's a gem.

This is probably the best diner I've went to on Long Island. Service is great and breakfast is top tier. The coffee is strong and good and I always either get Gyro Omelet or Spring Chicken. Both items are good and it's not only a good breakfast place but a good place to get some food at after a night out. Five stars.

Standard diner fare, decent prices, but being the only 24 hr diner left in the area made it 5 stars when we needed it. And it's across from my wife's most recently frequented Tattoo Shop where Andrea did 2 excellent PCs for her in the last few years coincidentally.

Lighthouse Diner really good! Although not comparable to the Imperial Diner in Freeport, I recommend the chicken parmesan! I also recommend the weird Pizza Burger which, at first I was feeling eh about it, but when I tasted it wow! I wouldn’t recommend getting it with the onion rings instead get it their really tasty fries! Their appetizers combo platter was also good and at the right price. Hope this review helped you decide! A loyal diner here with my family since 2008. Finally writing a review because the Napoleon dessert pastry is one of the best desserts I have had in my life. I'm not a huge custard dessert fan but this particular combination of flaky pastry, icing, dabs of chocolate liqueur and oozing custard still has me drooling even after eating it. 😜 Enjoy many options here and split these desserts with friends they are huge portions!

I have visiting this place for over 8 years and staff are always friendly. Food is good. I love to ask for bacon 🥓 and over easy eggs and some toast . Chocolate chips pancakes are great. Last time I also got a Italian omelet, wow it was great. The only thing is that sometimes I got my strawberry shake with whipped cream sometimes don't.. I think is base on who makes ur order 🤣 but that's ok too. I like to change my orders here.. wondering what would I get next 🤔 8/16 Omggg the strawberry shake today was amazing !!! My favorite diner around, the food is always tasty and good service. Have yet to find a place I like better. You won't find anything too out of the ordinary as far as diner fare goes, but it does have every diner staple you can think of and they do 'em all right. The pizza burger is a personal favorite of mine. Staff has always been incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially even with special requests. Parking can be a little crazy with a relatively small lot and with how popular the place gets especially around breakfast, but the side streets provide decent spillover parking.

The hostess and our server were very attentive, although the place was nearly empty, which worried me a bit. I've had breakfast here on a number of occasions and the food is always good. It came out super fast but again, there was hardly anyone there. Also, it's 24 hours as opposed to the diner a bit west, which is not.

It says 24hr. dining online but you can't enter to eat inside after 2am, on Fridays at least. So it seems they cook all night. And that's ok, but not when you get off work at 1am. But what's a speeding ticket for a meal made how you want. A well done burger doesn't mean burnt and this place understands that. If I get another damned hockey puck at a diner, I'll poke my own eye out, ugh. They understand crispy fries that aren't burnt either. Perfect. My favorite beverage, lemonade with either Coke or Pepsi, I forget which they serve, is always mixed to perfection. I love this diner. It's clean, the food is good, the portions are hearty and the staff are super pleasant. Try it. You'll be so happy you did

Came here after seeing the Jason Aldean show at Jones Beach last night and we were very satisfied. First off, I want to say John our waiter was excellent. The moment we sat down, John was literally waiting for our drink orders and had our drinks in 10 seconds, I was stunned by how fast he came. John was very attentive and didn’t miss a step with our order, he was truly exemplary. Secondly, the food was great. Sprite was full of flavor, the beef was tender and delicious, but the French Onion Soup was too salty (Only reason for not giving 5 stars), but I let that slide considering how amazing everything else was. We considered having dessert, but we were so full from the meal. Overall, delicious food and amazing service. If you decide to eat here, ask for John, you won’t be disappointed!!!

They Charged close to $3 for 'honey' without mentioning there was a charge until we saw it on the bill. Management seemed to react with an attitude instead of apologizing that the waitress should have mentioned there was a charge at the time we ordered. I think this should have been handled differently, if there's an upcharge, it should be disclosed when ordering. Food was good/hot and service was pretty quick even though the diner was busy. The parking lot is a medium size but seemed to fill up quickly. I think we'll try a different diner next time.

We have been coming to Lighthouse diner for Sunday breakfast about once a month for about 20 Years. We frequent many diners and travel from Long Beach to go to Lighthouse. We like the openness and food is plentiful and mostly good. The past 10 or so times there for Sunday breakfast one or both of our orders came out literally cold and had to send back for just a re- heat. Sometimes couldn’t be bothered but eat it. Today we one again were served luke warm eggs. We thought it time to bring some constructive criticism to management. To our shocked they said maybe we were having a bad day and they never had a complaint in 40 years! She was very very defensive and rude. How do you talk to a customer like that ! Lighthouse will forever be off our list of frequently visited diners. Sunrise diner across the street is far more superior in food and service.

Food is ok . Ordered the special in the photo, came with 1 shrimp and a large piece of spinach pie. I chose Manhattan clam chowder which was very good but could benefit from some other veggies. Now is where the issue begins, the waiter Matthew, came around and saw that we were finished eating. He grabs our plates and tells us be right back with the check. We look at each other" saying I guess he is assuming we do not want anything else" but he quickly walks away. He comes back a few minutes later with the check. We ask doesnt mine come with a piece of cake?? He responds "Oh, that's a misprint but Il give it to you" Comes back with a menu for me to pick and walks away He comes back for my order and states again " That's a misprint but I'm going to give it to you" " No other lunch special has that on it"as he walks away.I told him if it was a misprint it could easily be fixed with some white out. FYI,If your company knowingly has a misprint on there menu, especially one that could easily be corrected, and they choose not to correct it, do not try to quickly give me my check hoping I dont remember what came with my meal, and then tell me multiple times it's a misprint but Il give it to you. Fix the menu or offer the cake. Instead, you just annoyed a customer who will never come back and will never recomend your restuarant.

This has been an ongoing thing. I have no idea why I keep ordering food from here. The service is good and the atmosphere is good but the food is bad. There is a particular sandwich that I ordered that's supposed to come on garlic bread with chicken cutlets, Russian dressing and melted cheese. Only one time. Has it come on garlic bread. This time of course the chicken cutlets were underdone. The cheese was hardly melted and the fries were ice cold. And no IT WAS NOT ON TOASTED GARLIC BREAD. And I only had to drive 2 minutes away from this diner to bring the food home to eat it. I don't even bother complaining anymore. I'll just have to complain with my wallet.

Not to mention the gravy tasted like canned chef boyardee beef ravioli sauce. It was not a gravy and had a reddish tint to it. When I told the waiter I didn't like the Brisket and ate a few bites of the bread around it he took the whole platter back to kitchen. I thought he was going to show a manager. The potatoes were dry and clumpy as well and broccoli was just that. Just a steamed plain broccoli. No flavor, no taste. Upon reviewing the bill. They charged 21.95 for the brisket. I spoke to Maria at the register, who wasn't pleasant at all. If whole meal was thrown out, why was I being charged for a meal I didn't like nor ate? They could have left it on table for someone else to try it or even take home. Just because It wasn't my taste, doesn't mean that someone else at the table might have tried it and liked it. Not to mention the stares I recieved by staff, while I was explaining to "Maria" how dissatisfied We were. No apologies from anyone either. I dine out frequently and know good quality of food. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this "Diner". Never returning.

Have been ordering from here for a few years and have had inconsistent results. This time I ordered Buffalo wings through Uber eats and got straight up fried chicken. Can’t eat breaded fried food. This was not in the description at all. When I called, I was told every place does Buffalo wings differently. I’ve never received Buffalo wings like these.. no hot sauce at all. If you’re gonna make them so differently, at least provide a description. Will try a different local diner next time.

I was mortified today to see how things have changed since a few years ago. Waiters don't seem to care and the food is subpar at best. I ordered a Italian burger. The first one came out raw and after sending it back, the next one had raw mushrooms on it instead of cooked. WTF. I didn't even bother to send it back again. You live and you learn. Food prices are through the roof, you would think dining out once in a while would make you feel good. This place has gone downhill. I don't know if it's new management or what but i didn't enjoy being back there and i was embarrassed because i brought someone with me. It's a shame.

The only real appeal I see is that they’re “open 24 hours”, but they’re really not fully open 24 hours like they advertise. Nice looking place. But that's where it ends. Or server couldn't bother asking to refill our coffee. Well done french fries, arrived soggy. The grilled eggplant panini was a big disappointment. There was no flavor, spice or taste. Just one single piece of eggplant warmed up, one small piece of roasted pepper. Not even the grilled flavor. The most bland thing. Terrible. Left it all behind. We couldn't leave quick enough. Needless to say we won't be back.

I was very disappointed in Lighthouse diner. I went at 4 am and they told me they only do takeout then. I travelled so they agreed to serve me. I got a steak sandwich. It had strips of steak, but it was bitter, spoiled not edible. I told them and asked for a burger, but they insisted I get the same steak Panini because of cost. They brought the second steak panini snd it still was disgusting. Had less steak, i asked if it had vinegar or something, but they said no so just rotten. Yech. My stomach was really hurting and couldn’t eat the replacement steak either. I felt like I had food poisoning. Then they took that away and offered me a burger. I wanted eggs but they said no. I could not eat anything. Was way too nauseous. They gave me a free gingerale and a free cookie. I took the burger and the cookie in the bag and got a bill for $35 with tip. I couldnt believe I had to pay after that. Most restaurants would not have made me pay for rotten food. No apologies or managers coming to help. Usually I love NY diners, but don’t recommend this one.

Riddle me this- a 24 hour diner on a Sunday morning that only takes "TAKE OUT" orders until 6am? Guess I'll have to wait 30 more minutes till I get served. First impressions are always key. Now it's an uphill battle for them.

Went to this diner last night after a nite out with friends the place was not the cleanest and the staff was not only rude but had no care in the world i would never go back to this diner and the food was not even good we had to argue with them to take food that was un edible off the bill... never again .... get it together people if you dont like your job find a new one ... no tip give

The worst food I’ve ever ate at a diner. I got a beef gyro and took 2 bites my stomach started doing cartwheels. My boyfriend got chicken fingers and fries which were disgusting as well. Server saw us waiting for the check for 25 minutes after we both only took 2 bites of our food and ignored us. We ended up going up to the counter and waited another 5 minutes with no one there. Owner came up to counter and had no idea what he was doing could not find our check, we got the check and he ignored us. We left the money and walked out. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a diner

The managers of this establishment are half asleep. They treat their employees like dirt. Their eggs Benny was gross and thick with a terrible flavor . A big no for me will not come back you lost good customer

i got the grilled chicken dinner, chicken is completely overcooked, dryer than the desert.. i really don’t understand how this $30 dinner is not a nice juicy piece of grilled chicken breast but this, taste like they cooked it over a fire pit on a stick..

Usually a great diner but they messed up my order today and the roast beef dip sandwich was disgusting and no flavor threw it out. Won’t be returning.

I walk in to get food they’re open, but it’s only take out between 3 and 6 AM but they have a waiter there doing absolutely nothing what’s the point of even being open up 24 hours if you’re not gonna serve people seems like the stupidest thing in the world but hey, I guess that’s what diners are going out of business. Maybe the owner should read this and reconsider his weird policy.
