Opinions de Morning Rose Bellmore
Great little place for breakfast/brunch. I originally wanted the corned beef hash but the server said it’s usually not ready until Friday because they make it fresh, in house, and my friend and I went on a Wednesday, which is the first day of the week they’re opened. I ended up getting a gnocchi bowl and my friend got chicken and waffles. Everything was delicious. The gnocchi bowl was good but too rich for me tbh. Next time, I think I’ll stick with the pancakes or waffles. I saw other patrons getting the pancakes and I’m not gonna lie- they looked gooooood! Prices are steeper than other brunch/breakfast places but there aren’t many breakfast places around in the area, so I guess prices are justified. Service was wonderful and my server and coffee person were always on top of it! Hope to come here again and try the pancakes!
First time here this past weekend. The food was amazing. Everyone in the party both loved their food and had trouble picking from so many tempting items on the menu. Will be back to try more. I'm getting that banana bread french toast next time ^^
Excellent taste, service, portion size and cleanliness. What a place! We took our friends here for the first time and they are asking when we are going back. Excellent!
It was my first time here and I had the chicken and waffles. They were good. But what really impressed me were the portions. I am a big guy and I couldn't finish it. Great bang for your buck. The skillet (home) fries were very good as well. I will be coming back again to try some of their other food especially the caramel pancakes and patty melt.
Been here a few times and love it each time. The staff is very attentive, kind and quick in getting you a seat and taking your order. This along with the outdoor dining right in the center of town makes the atmosphere even better on a nice day during the spring and summer.
The best breakfast spot in NY hands down. Been looking for a place like this for years. Definitely recommend portions are huge each plate can feed 2 people or 1 very hungry person. Chicken and waffles so good. Chicken was very tender and juicy. Omelet was heaven and very hardy. Will definitely come back here again. So much flavor!
This place offers great quality food. I ordered the corned beef hash and it was actually corned beef, not the dog mush we're used to. We also got the banana bread french toast. It was three huge slices of banana bread cake. A little too sweet for breakfast but delicious. The staff is great and professional too. I'll be coming back, absolutely!
Had breakfast at Morning Rose Cafe and it was a wonderful experience! We did not have to wait in line because the online wait list made it so easy, we just showed up when our table was ready. My server was Chris and she was amazing! I hardly had to ask for anything. She filled my water and coffee without asking and brought our food out promptly. She had no issues with any requests that we had and also seemed to be able to manage her other customers appropriately. I met the owner and she was also extremely nice and very personal. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Wandered in out of the blue expecting an above average diner; walked out having had one of the best breakfast diner experiences ever - great food, personable staff, loyal customers, good music and a really low key happy / contented vibe in the room. Literally the perfect start to a day.
I stumbled upon this place while waiting for the Harley-Davidson dealer to fix my bike. The food was magnificent, the presentation was amazing, the staff was stella. I have to come back to this place even though I live quite a distance away.
This place was a recommendation and we decided to come as a family of 6 to have a birthday breakfast. They don’t take reservations which isn’t the best but otherwise the wait wasn’t too long. It was a 20 minute wait in which we were able to explore the menu and choose what we wanted. They serve complimentary warm chocolate chip muffins with a strawberry jam. It was delicious! We ordered a whole array from the menu. It took about 30 minutes for the food to come which wasn’t bad for a Sunday morning for a large party. The food was great in my opinion. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was great. It was a bit awkward that one of the servers kept coming to try to take our plate away as we were just taking a second to chat and such. It would have been nice to not get asked every 5 minutes if they could take our plates. Felt a little rushed. I’d recommend get there early if you’re a large party or send an individual to hold a spot.
Out of town friends popped up and this rated high on social media for brunch. Had to get on the wait list, but t staff met is & checked us in as we walked by on the sidewalk. Father's Day brunch was full to the gills with a happy buzz. Staff navigated the extra chairs and high chairs like ballet dancers. Recommend the Elvis crepes. I was worried about bacon with bananas etc, but it turned out a perfect pairing. Pre-included gratuity was a surprise, but actually worked out great. A memorable meal :-)
This place is cozy and runs really well. Join the waitlist on yelp and it's easy to wait. The service is awesome, really friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We had avocado toast (has burrata, tomato, balsamic) and the gnocchi bowl. We were too hungry to take pictures! Definitely recommend and will revisit.
From the food, to the people, and the unbeatable prices please come and see for yourself why I come here every week. The coffee beans are roasted fresh, the food is carefully prepared, and a warm smile with every service.
Morning Rose Cafe is hands down the best breakfast/brunch/lunch spot on long island!!! I have dined here enough times to make my way through the menu and I have never failed to lick my plate clean. The friendly staff is incredibly accommodating and the warm and aromatic atmosphere is a giveaway for the unforgettable meal you're about to have. If i could have Morning Rose 7 days a week three meals a day, I would. You seriously cannot go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu.
Service and food is amazing! Great experience everytime. Make sure to join the waitlist prior to arrival especially on Sundays.
"You eat with your eyes first" Absolutely beautiful presentation with all our orders. We were a party of six,and all our orders were delicious!!! The STAFF is so nice and welcoming!! Planning on returning very soon, and spreading the word about this unbelievable GEM, of a restaurant!
Oh my gosh, I will miss you all so very much. Chris, I love you. Nikki, you're awesome. Going to miss my humongous pancakes that were good for 4 meals after that lol. What a staple you have become and that's how you will leave Bellmore. You will be missed.
So where do we begin. The service was fantastic. It was quick friendly and efficient in every corner of the establishment. One thing that I noted was the dining room was never left unattended always having a staff member to call upon anything that was needed. The food was even better. Upon arriving in the morning guest are given a small muffins to nibble upon which is both freshly made and very tasty. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of eggs. My taste buds had been elated as both the presentation of my food was very nice and It smelled and tasted amazing. This is a wonderful little breakfast spot if your looking for a place to eat with friends or family or even by yourself. I will be back! 😃
Within the last 5 years since my last review this place just kept getting better and better. Their unique delicious dishes and top notch service never wavered. The second I heard they reopened I went the next day. And the same Morning Rose we all know and love is back and better than ever! Same chef too! Hope they never scare us loyal fans again and stay forever and ever.
I've only been here twice so far. The first time was right when they opened and was seated right away. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was so upbeat and the staff welcoming. This last time I came later in the afternoon. Right away the I could feel how super busy they were, but it was still so upbeat. I waited for about 40min, which I felt fine with since it was a lazy Sunday. But the whole time I was aware of how cheerful and smooth everything was moving. When I got seated, food was still great, although I spied their avocado toast dish and it gave me a moment of envy. I'll be back for that. The staff was so quick but not in a rush you on your way, pushy way. I want to give kudos to the staff. The food was great experience and I highly recommend their biscuits. As a transplanted southerner, I truly appreciate the moment of biting into the memory of home. On the way out the seating staff remembered my name and reminded me I can reserve my spot on line next time so I can cut the wait time down. I will be coming back.
We love this place! We came for my birthday and this was literally what I asked for as my gift. I wish we lived closer but I’d be in trouble if we did. I had the broccoli and cheddar soup which was great. I usually get breakfast here. The pancakes are always amazing but today I tried the focaccia patty melt. The only thing I could say was “oh my god”. Other than that I was speechless and in a trance from how delicious this sandwich was! The flavor was unreal! The aioli was perfect and the bread was soft and tasty. The fries were great and the coffee was yummy too. The hostess was very friendly and did a great job seating everyone. Can’t wait to go back!
Went here a few weeks ago but I'm adamant to leave a review. The service was amazing, and the food..... the food was just....wow, Im making it a point to try everything on the menu. This little cafe left a big impression on my sister and I. A must for my fellow Long Islanders and everyone just wanting a little breakfast nuke away from home.
So.... Absolutely love this place. Walking in- greeted with a smile, escorted to the table with a smile and orders taken by Janine with a smile. Coffee = Fantastic. The chicken and waffles dish is just superb. The seasoning of the chicken is on point and the waffles are fluffy with the right amount of crisp to make you a happy Bruncher. This is my 2nd time here and I will be returning because of the staff and the tasty food. Go, Enjoy
This is the second time I'm dining in and may I say; amazing experience each time! I was running late but the staff was understanding and kind. Great service. This place is quaint and homey. Feels like you're eating at grandma's house. Parking can be a minor concern so make sure you plan accordingly so you're not late like I was. Now the food.🤤🤤🤤 I'm not really a brunch guy but it was EXTREMELY delicious. I got the MRC Burger with a side of fries, and my partner got the chicken and waffles egg benedict. My burger was juicy, cheesy, and flavorful. The fries were crispy and fresh and just the right amount of salty (take that McDonalds). My partner's benedict was AMAZING. I don't like runny eggs but Morning Rose has changed my mind. Overall, great service, delicious food and fair pricing. I 100 percent recommend this plate for a cute date or a simple quick alone time
Went this morning with my daughter and everything was great. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They have kid options as well. I had the Avocado toast and it was one of the best I ever had. My daughter had chocolate chip pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs and both were delicious. We will definitely be returning soon to try other dishes.
Loved my experience at Morning Rose Café! Great food, friendly staff, and such a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
Great place The food excelente The service they make you feel like family that smile make my heart feels happy. I love to go to places like this when you get there they welcome you. I recommended 100%.
It's always a pleasure to eat here. Food is delicious.... service is excellent... what else can you ask for? Looking forward visiting again.
First time visit to Morning Rose, and will def be back! Everyone was kind and attentive, from the hostess who greeted and sat us, to the waiter and bussers. Too many things looked good on the menu but we ended up with the lemon blueberry pancakes, which were huge, fluffy and delicious! Super lemon-y. Corned beef hash on the side was one point and had great flavor. We also ordered the croque monsieur. It was huge, filled w ham, cheese, a spicy mustard and very saucy! Would order each of these again but can't wait to try other menu items on our next visit! Signing up for the "wait-list" online was super easy. We arrived at the early end of our estimated time and had to wait about 15 mins to be sat after checking in. It was easy and will now be on our breakfast rotation!
My favorite local breakfast spot. I frequent it at least 5-7x a year. Could be more but …you know, the economy. The food is fresh. The food is delicious. I love the complimentary mini muffins in the beginning with homemade jams. The muffins are different every time because it’s the chefs special. You can really tell that the chef takes his time and puts a lot of thought into the menu and specials. The menu changes by season which is exciting because you don’t know what new dishes they will come up with. My favorite dish is the gnocchi bowl. Whenever I have family that visits, they know I’m treating them to a morning of Morning Rose Cafe which excites them! The place is small but that’s what makes it special. It’s cozy and warm. The wait service is kind. There’s also a kind young person who I haven’t figured out if she’s the owner because she’s everywhere making sure the restaurant is running. Smoothly. I really like this person. They’re so sweet. Anyway. Go go go. I’d advise when you’re about 5 minutes away, to go on the website and join the wait list. Wait times can vary depending on time of day.
I stumbled upon this small but incredibly cute café, and I’m so glad I did! The star of the menu has to be the fire waffles and chicken crispy, savory, and perfectly paired with fluffy waffles that had the perfect touch of sweetness. It’s comfort food at its finest, and the portion sizes are just right. The hot chocolate? Out of this world just what you need to warm your soul. Service was fast and friendly, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with fantastic food, you need to check this place out!
Probably the best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had which is saying something cause I love that dish. Very flavorful and the tortillas were crunchy not soggy which can ruin it. The chicken & waffles eggs Benedict was also very good but incredibly filling expect to take some home. The service was very good but expect to wait if you show up during the rush. Also very good fresh squeezed orange juice.
Waitlist is necessary due to the layout of the place!!! It’s busy but it didn’t feel crowded at all. Staff were extremely friendly! I went with my partner and as soon as we got seated, we were served with complimentary muffins with the tastiest raspberry jam. I ordered eggs Benedict and my partner ordered a turkey melt. For drinks, I got the bottomless iced coffee and my partner was happily sipping on his cranberry mimosa which he also wished to be bottomless. We were looking at everyone’s order and food since everything looked amazing, including our own food :) Wish I could put in 6 outta 5 stars because this place is great! Highly recommend it to those who are looking for a nice breakfast/brunch spot. But before you, you must get yourself on the waitlist and the waitlist time is pretty accurate too.
First off I wanna say that the wait here is pretty long on weekends. So be prepared to take a good portion out of your morning/day. The staff overall is friendly and joyful. When you are seated they give you complimentary mini muffins with jam. We ended up getting the Biscuits & Gravy, the Crispy Bites and an order of Fries. Let's start off with the Biscuits & Gravy: the dish comes with FOUR biscuits, sausage gravy, TWO sausage links, TWO eggs and a roasted tomatoe. The biscuits are so fluffy that make the perfect base for the gravy. The gravy lacks no flavor and has plenty of sausage bits. The eggs were perfectly well made and are some of the best eggs I've had. The sausage links pair well with the dish. And the additional roasted tomatoe is a nice touch which is well paired with everything on the plate. Now the Crispy Bites are little french toast bites that come with strawberries, blue berries, syrup and whip cream. For my personal palet they could've used a bit more of a cinnamon taste, the egg was more of what I could taste. Not overpowering just slightly above of what I would've liked. But still and enjoyable and unique dish. The fries were a huge portion and were crispy and fluffy. Now, yes, the prices are...well a bit pricey. BUT you get what you pay for. The portions are huge and the food is great. So for me, the price is justified.
FANTASTIC spot for brunch! Their menu is comprehensive and offers something for every palette, from Belgian waffles to salmon omelettes to cinnamon bun pancakes to corned beef hash. Exquisite food that's prepared with great care, you can tell there's love in what they do. Fresh and hearty, perfect portions, and really friendly and attentive service. This really is a quality cafe, situated right in the heart of Bellmore Village. A family favorite.
As of October 30, 2022 New Fall Menu, Cristian our waiter showed us the new items on the menu, with so many new things it took time to choose, 2 half orders of 2 different pancakes-sweet potato with chocolate chip and sugared pecans and pear with goat cheese all with warm maple syrup. Delicious food and "Delicious" fresh gowned coffee. Do visit them and choose for yourself. Local nook in cranny. Kind friendly staff. Daily specials worthy of a try. Mid range pricing. No reservations But can use website for wait list. Check days and hours when open. Nice for brunch.
Took my son out for a special 21st birthday brunch at Morning Rose Cafe. Had not been there in years, not sure what to expect post Covid. Place was very clean and bright. We were greeted very warmly by the hostess, no wait at all. Our waitress, Chris was beyond professional and friendly. She went out of her way to do what she could to make my son‘s birthday special. Without even being asked, she brought a special birthday dessert with a candle. The food was fresh, hot and incredibly delicious. To top it all off, we didn’t catch her name, but at the table next to us was a woman with a group of people who coincidently shared the same birthday as my son. Chris, our waitress, told us after they left that the woman who had the same birthday, very sweetly offered to pay for my son‘s birthday Mimosa drink as a kind happy birthday gesture. The delicious, fresh food, amazing wait staff and the random acts of kindness made our experience at Morning Rose one to remember.
Great service, DELICIOUS FOOD!! It can be a long wait yet definitely worth it. Walked around the duration of our wait and staff called us when our table was ready. Large portions and menu like no other. Our waitress was kind and attentive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a hearty Sunday brunch, you won’t be disappointed.
Gabriela our waitress gave us great service. The food was awesome, the corn beef hash was really good you can tell it was homemade. The chicken and waffles were great as well. The only downfall is that the place is small and the noise level is really load. I highly recommend this place for it has great food and service.
The food at Morning Rose is amazing, and definitely worth the trip. I will say the wait time can be absurd, definitely look into joining their online wait list so you can just arrive when your table is ready instead of waiting around for an hour (or sometimes 2!). Also the inside of the restaurant is cramped and loud, so not the most relaxing dining experience. But the egg Benedict chicken and waffles was worth the wait!
This place was absolutely delicious. I had ordered the chicken and waffles plate and it came out to my liking. The chicken was well prepared and crispy with every bite. The waffles really added a different texture from every chicken bite. Only downside was that the hot coffee could be a little better. It tasted a bit burnt. But other than that I wholeheartedly recommend this place but beware the time you go as it can get packed.
Have only been once but it was pretty good. This place was so hyped when it opened and I was afraid it wouldn't measure up, but it was great. I went for brunch during the Pandemic and was able to sit outside, which was really very pleasant. Two of my dining companions had salads, which they enjoyed, one had breakfast chilaquiles, which was huge and tasty, and I had the breakfast gnocchi bowl, which was delicious but very rich and not what I expected. However I didn't read the menu very closely, so could easily be my fault! The menu is pretty large and a good mixture of sweet and savory. Easily something for everyone. I had an iced coffee which was only ok, but that's very subjective. I am usually a Starbucks drinker and it just seemed a little weak to me. The only negative is they served some of our dishes on ceramic plates and some on/in paper. It was strange that it was a combo and to be honest, I don't enjoy the paper when dining "in". While it didn't come to us, someone else got two eggs and they were served on a paper plate, which is a bit gross to me. Paper plates aside, I'm glad I ate here and would definitely do so again.
A lovely breakfast spot! My husband and I visited Morning Rose Cafe for a breakfast date and enjoyed a warm welcome. Although the atmosphere is simple, the bustling energy is inviting. The service was friendly and efficient, and our food and drinks were tasty. A great choice for a casual breakfast or brunch date. 4/5 stars!
A wonderful brunch spot. Using the reservation tool helped a lot. Definitely make time for Apple Cider Mimosa. The eggs Benedict and chicken and waffles are a must. Wait staff very friendly. Looking forward to returning! Parking was difficult. But we made it happen
Lovely little breakfast brunch tea store. I have been here twice and both times it has been amazing. The store is small so during peak hours I would call ahead to check the wait time. Staff are always very nice but when it gets busy you may have to wait. I have introduced family and friends to this place and everyone loves it. The food is amazing and the menu includes classic, trendy items, and some interesting things. Regardless everything is delicious. I would definitely go again for family breakfast or just meeting up with a friend.
Recommend. The food and service was very good. I would check if reservation is required. The food was very good. I had Eggs Benedict (biscuit & bacon). Hollandaise was delicious and eggs perfectly poached. Brother-in-law had the waffle slider (eggs & meat waffle sandwich) which I will try next time.
Always a pleasure dining at Morning Rose 🌹- The only issue I've had here is parking situation isn't ideal, and as it's a small place... the wait can be irritating. Otherwise, inventive and scrumptious meals - large portions. Friendly staff who've been there for years. Bright and welcoming environment, however a little tight at times depending on where you're sitting. Very highly recommended.
Decided to go to the Morning Rose Cafe while driving to Southhold observatory. Parking was sparse, but easy and the coffee here was strong and flavorful just the way I like it. As a vegetarian the menu doesn't have many options, and substitutions are discouraged. However everything we had was top notch. The avocado burrata toast was exceptional, and my wife's Benedict was delicious. The star of the show was a last minute choice to get Smokey Cajun Fries instead of home fries. Wow these Smokey Cajun Fries were something else so much flavor and made perfectly. All and all if you have the extra time to eat quality food Morning Rose Cafe is a great place. I wish they had more vegetarian options, but alas thems the brakes.
I tend to avoid this restaurant because I hate waiting but I know it’s so good, so when the opportunity came up on a late Wednesday I took it. Everything about Morning Rose is so nice, the staff, the atmosphere and the cleanliness.Luckily, there was no wait and the inventive and delicious food explains the consistent popularity and the wait times. It is worth the wait
Very small diner, if your clostephbic stay away. Food is a hit or miss. Tried this place twice but would go a third time. Not worth what they charge for breakfast.
I decided to try this place since it got such raving reviews. First I must give praise to the service. The wait staff was friendly, smiled, didn't keep me waiting to order and definitely worth coming here for if you want a place with outstanding staff. I ordered a coffee and the bacon cheeseburger omelet and substituted the tomatoes for mushrooms. The coffee was ok, not something that would make me run back and the food was decent, nothing spectacular, and definitely overpriced. My total came out to over $20 and that's before tip. The dining area was small and the tables seemed to be almost on top of one another. I'm not a fan of restaurants that have tables so close together, you're in their conversation. It was a nice experience but doubt I'll be back.
Ate here yesterday with some friends. The food was good but not outstanding. There were four of us and one person had to wait for her food after three of us were served, probably at least 5 or more minutes. The French toast bites were good but slightly overdone. My friend ordered the breakfast waffle sliders and she liked it but wasn’t blown away. I enjoyed my roasted cauliflower omelet. I subbed out the Gorgonzola for goat cheese and I liked it. I wished that there were more bacon in it. My cappuccino was decent but got cold rather quickly, and we waited a while with empty water glasses. They bring mini muffins to the table beforehand with fresh jam which was a cute touch. The place was very busy so you could tell it’s a popular joint. There were tons of options on the menu which was great, I just wasn’t as blown away as I thought I’d be.
I'll start by saying the food and service here is great. From the coffee, creative breakfast offerings and specials, lunch and occasional craft drinks, there really is nothing you can't find depending on palate or allergies/preferences. That being said, the overall state of the restaurant itself is falling downhill and quickly. Walls are scuffed and dirty, much more than simple wear and tear. We just visited today and we're shocked by how rough it is. It's always been very cramped, even after the renovation. Waitstaff constantly bumping into you, through no fault of their own. And it's just not an attractive restaurant. Secondly, the prices here have gotten out of control compared to similar offerings. Kids meals don't include a drink, and a chocolate milk is $4.50. Outrageous. All breakfast options are well over $15, most over $20. We are al being squeezed here, but for a Saturday at 930am if wasnt even half full. I believe they are pricing themselves out of the area. And close shop for a few days to refresh the walls and decor!
My daughter and I went for brunch and we decided to do outdoor dining. After ordering we waited forever (approx 30mins) for a Nutella crepe and French toast and side of bacon. Then after dining we waited another 30mins after I had to signal someone else over for the bill. We waited patiently and had to tip the 15% which I only do if the service isn't good. Food was decent.
Was headed to Blue Angels air show but highways were blocked so took a detour here for brunch instead. Arrived 11 am Saturday and place was full house. Small & cozy restaurant with complimentary mini muffin. Menu prices reflect inflation in area. Decent portions & good sunlight coming thru windows. Waited 15 minutes for food. My turkey bacon was burnt & a bit hard. Eggs were small. Potatoes were okay and biscuit was larger. A bit noisy, feels more of a bar vibe instead of weekend brunch. There are a few outside dining tables . Too many surcharges for a pleasant dining experience. $4 plate sharing. 20% gratuity for parties 5 plus. 2.5% credit card fee 😅😅 $55 with a 18% gratuity for 2 breakfast entrees & 1 iced coffee.
Just left here. Made a reservation for a party of 6 with a baby for my mother in laws birthday(which they knew) and brought our own cake. We sat down ordered, waiter was very nice. Table took a little because they didnt have the right table for us, its ok that happens. As were finishing up eating, 2 of our family members were still eaiting, NICOLE comes to us and says "o i didnt know u guys brought a cake(which they did) we have a party of 5 coming in so were going to need ur table in 20 minutes, so do you want us to bring the cake out now. This is as 2 people were still eating. How do u say this to someone especially on her birthday. We took the cake home and will never go back just because of how rude she was to us. Food was great dont get me wrong but that was absolutely uncalled for. We werent even sitting there long we ate in a timely fashion. So if ur looking for good food but very rude person, go there.
My mom has been talking about this place for a while. Decided to try it out today. Friendly hostess in the front. Server nasty with an attitude. I wanted to remove some items from my dish since I'm pregnant and can't stomach much these days, was told that chef refuses to do so because he wants to get food out quick (waited about 15-20minutes and it was not crowded maybe 6 tables). Was told by server that we don't wanna make chef angry. Sorry... I prefer establishments that want happy customers. Food was ok. Overall not worth it.
I used to absolutely LOVE coming here. The food is amazing but unfortunately the chef refuses to make any modifications for food allergies even though the menu states they will. His version of a modification is to remove only one ingredient from a menu item. You are apparently not allowed to eat there if you have more than one allergen. It’s become so strict now that we heard every table around us complaining about it. So sad that such an ego is going to ruin what was once an awesome, unique breakfast dining establishment.
Gonna keep this short. The place has a very awkward layout…if you decide to sit inside (which we should have chosen not to due to the extreme noise) then you would have to walk thru the entire place to get to the front past bathrooms, kitchen…such an odd setup. Food was not bad and service was ok. I couldn’t hear myself think let alone enjoy a cup of coffee and meal with my daughter. Sorry morning rose, I will not be returning
2 stars only because of the host that was great. The food was decent, nothing outstanding. If I’m paying over $15 for a Strawberry Nutella Crepe for example, I expect more than 6 strawberries and less than half a teaspoon of Nutella. Again, food was decent enough, nothing to rave or complain about. BUT I have never felt more unwelcome and more rushed than today. We placed our initial order (Salmon toast and veggie bowl). Then this conversation happened: We: „can we please also order the Strawberry Nutella Crepe but have it come out after our two other dishes so it is not cold“ Waitress replies: „I have to ask because we are not allowed to do that. You have to order everything at the same time because of our waitlist“ Translation: eat as fast as you can and get out! She never got back to us with the an answer whether we „would be allowed“ to order more food so we asked the hostess that was at the table next to ours if we could order the crepe. „To go or to stay“? To stay! A minute later our waitress came to our table to let us know in „how much trouble she is now“ because apparently we messed up the waitlist timing. Which, is not my problem, so don’t make me listen to it. We all know that it is about turning tables, which is totally ok. But maybe you should not make a first time customer feel like their not welcome and feel guilty for ordering food in a restaurant! Will not return
Food was okay, the seating area is very small so prepare to have chairs and tables being constantly rearranged. The whole experience felt rushed, I was asked if I wanted to pack my meal while I was still eating. I won’t be back.
We had plans for a family brunch celebrating our mom’s birthday, we brought our own cake. The look on the hostess’ face was not pleasant when we asked her to store our cake. We were told “I have to ask a manager”Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, the food was good but the best part was when we were told by the manager “i didn't know you brought a cake. we have a group of 5 coming in we’re going to need the table in 20 minutes, we can bring it out now” 2 of our group were still eating their breakfast!! If we didn’t feel rushed enough, I looked up and the hostess was circling like a hawk waiting to hand out the check. I was told by my mom, whose birthday we were celebrating how good the food was and how they go there often; and unfortunetly after todays experience I will not be going there again
Awful experience with the owner, Rose. She was condescending and rude when I informed her our food was cold and greasy. After numerous attempts to rectify the situation we left. She told us, everyone else loves my food, well we didn't and as a business owner you should strive to make ALL customers happy. Other tables around us were also complaining about waiting over an hour for eggs and about food cold. If you are going to own a business. She cared more about me paying the check and leaving so she could seat another table then my family actually having a good meal. I would highly recommend staying far away from this establishment.
Incredibly disappointed with my experience today. We went this morning for my mom’s birthday, who actually comes here often and had a terrible experience. There were 6 adults and 1 baby, and when we arrived they didn’t have the correct table for us, and that started the experience. Nicole then got annoyed and told us we needed to wait for a table to leave for us to sit and not take up too much space. We waited as it wasn’t that big of a deal. My sister had brought a cake, and had asked to store it in their refrigerator. The hostess was then annoyed that she had to ask for us to put it in the refrigerator. When we finally sat down, they were quick to take our order, and get our drinks out. We then waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. As we began to eat, I took a bit longer as I had to stop eating and feed my baby as she is only 3 months. As we were finishing up, Nicole came back to the table and was in shock that we had brought a cake (she is the one who put the cake in the refrigerator for us). As my husband and I were eating, they had started to say that they can bring us a muffin with a candle in it, but cannot accommodate our cake. Nicole then informs us that she has a table of 5 waiting and we need to be up and out within 20 minutes. As someone who comes here often, I was in absolute shock that not only are you rushing us, but you’re rushing us while I am still eating. While walking out, the table of 5 came in and it appeared to be Nicole’s friends. For the amount of money we spend here as the menu items are not cheap, we should not be treated in this manner. We will not be returning. Go to The Brownstone in Amityville, they don’t rush their tables, and are much nicer.
Felt like I was in someones old living room. Atmosphere felt off, and staff weren’t cordial, almost never checking up on us. We got our complimentary muffins dropped on the table as if they were running away. Ordered our food and never saw our server again. They never came back to check to see how we were doing or how our food was. They would only pan across the room looking at guests and not saying a word. Waited over 30 minutes for terrible pancakes and chicken and waffles. Seems a 30 minute wait is normal for everyone, it was not worth it. I saw someone wait 30 minutes for a salad, thats terrible. This place doesn’t deserve your time or money for mediocre food and service. Will never come again.
I thought I would encounter something good when I waited in line at the door for 20 minutes. Now I've been inside for 45 minutes and my order hasn't arrived. I've also been subjected to excessive noise from people for 45 minutes. I will never, ever come here again, this noise is unbearable.
I had a terrible experience here. I was supposed to come here with one of my girlfriends but she was busy so I came alone. I had a crummy week and just wanted to have a day where I treated myself to some really good food and just enjoy the vibes. But as I was eating my meal, I was calling my family and friends and speaking to them on the phone so that I didn't feel alone. One of the waiters came up to me and told me that they needed the table as there was a line outside. By that time I had already paid for my meal with a generous tip and was enjoying my mimosa. I wasn't ready to leave as yet so I agreed to move to a smaller table as they needed the four top I was at. At the smaller table, I wanted to order something more but they refused and told me I had two minutes to get up off the table and leave the restaurant. I was appalled because I was a paying customer just like everyone else and I tipped on top of everything that I bought. I wasnt bothering anyone or speaking loudly on the phone. I apologized to the wait staff on the way out but they all didn't want to hear it and just rushed me out the restaurant except for one girl who felt sorry for me. I overheard her telling someone that what happened to me wasn't right. Never has this ever happened to me in my life. Honestly I'm still traumatized. This place is disgusting.
I have never had to leave a review before until now... We waited for half an hour for a table and were hoping the food would make up for it and be worth it. We were wrong. I ordered $6 fresh orange juice and it came in a cup smaller than my water cup...which i finished before the food came out in 25mins. We ordered the ultimate berry pancakes and they were the driest pancakes I've ever had. I thought the composte would help but it wasn't even enough to cover the first pancake fully...and thus stuck with a second plain pancake. It was so bad I barely took two bites. In addition, NO ONE came to ask us how our food was after the drinks came, even though we noticed other tables got asked multiple times. I would look elsewhere because this place isn't worth your money or time.
