I regularly come here either with my friend or family to eat! The food is always great and hot! Xavier is a great waiter, and I highly recommend him! Natalie is also another great waitress to ask for! The steak, chicken sandwich, spicy chicken bites and chicken fried chicken are really amazing!

Skylar and Paul were absolutely fantastic. It was a bit of a rough start, but Manager Paul was respectful and understanding to our situation. Skylar took over gracefully and was very attentive and respectful to not only our party, but others in our section as well. The only problem was it was just way to spicy for me. The two ladies were so helpful. A new steak was prepared without delay. They made my day. They also brought me a most delicious dessert! I had the 22oz Longhorn Porterhouse today for $34.29 with a side of loaded macaroni and a sweet potato prepped with butter brown sugar and cinnamon. I will be ordering the same meal next time. Went for a pick up order and it was ready very quickly and promptly. Food was given to us hot and delicious. Staff was very friendly and prompt.

This location is why I still eat at Longhorns steakhouse. Myself and 5 others came to this longhorns steakhouse location 10+ years ago. It was on valentines day and we had a bad experience. We spent well over 500 dollars that night and unfortunately the steaks were cold, the appetizers came after the meal. The salad came after that. The refills were nearly non existent. We were beyond upset and we had made the decision to never eat at Longhorns again. The manager took notice came to our table and apologized to us. They were short staffed, some people called out, our waiter was new, and he was going to comp our entire check for us as an apology for the service. Because of this one move I have spent thousands at Longhorns over the years and have enjoyed ribeyes and steak mac and cheese from here many times for lunch and dinner.

Gorgeous restaurant for starters. I was blown away by the openness and decor. Exceptional western taste. Loved the buckle display especially. The service was so warm and courteous from the girl who seated me with exceptional comments about the salmon to the manager on duty who pleasantly surprised me with a stop by my table. Anyssa, my server, was phenomenal, so kind and friendly, extremely attentive. I had the Wild West Shrimp for a starter, perfect hint of garlic. Fantastic flavor and so much of it, I had to get a to go box. My jamm is in salmon these days and the Longhorn Salmon did not disappoint! I got the 10oz aka a mountain of salmon. Wow! The pieces just fell off the side of it exquisitely. I cant wait to go back!

My preferred choice of steakhouse. Most of the cuts are huge and the prime rib is excellent. I find myself torn between the rice and the okra 'cause they're both so good, but I can't give up the salad you can sub one for. Even if you were able to get all three it would be way too much to finish; the portions are that big. Food is hot and fresh, and nothing ever sits under a heat lamp before you get it, and the blackberry iced tea is usually a deciding factor when the group is choosing where to eat.

I came here for lunch and the service was very friendly since the beggining, the hostess greeted me and asked me if I rather eat at the restaurant or the bar area. I ended up dining in the bar area which she gladly indicated (even if it is on plain sight). The bar tender that helped me that afternoon was not all cheers and smiles, but he provided a good service overall, he did a good recommendation on what type of wine should I have with my 8 oz. Flo's steak and my parmesan fries. I ordered my steak well done, and it came out just perfect, it was still juicy. Overall I had a good experience at this restaurant and I really like the consistency they have across the Longhorn chain. I have had dinner at the one on north 10th st and the food is very good as well.

We took my mom for her 93rd birthday. It was a Tuesday at 6 PM and there was no wait. Our server was delightful. I ordered salmon which was tasty and not too fishy. Though the prices are slightly higher than other steakhouses, the portions are more than generous. Then they provided a complimentary sundae for the birthday girl. All in all a wonderful evening

Valentine's Day was great here... Service was exceptional and the food was perfect for the occasion. Arrived for an early dinner but the wait was only about 10m. We had the ribs, shrimp, and a filet mignon. Everything was 👍. Baked potatoes and salads were also tasty. Here's a pic of our appetizer.

Always awesome atmosphere, friendly staff and great country music in the speakers, Longhorns doesn't disappoint. Went with the Peach tea was A1. Gotta have that bread and butter . Appetizer got the stuffed Mushrooms, which are out of this world 👽. Sides got the house salad featuring diced tomatoes and cucumbers and their Mac and cheese( super creamy👍) Main course for today was "The Outlaw" which is 20oz of perfection 😋 Over all give it a 👍

Delicious salad! Great takeout service!! Although Longhorn is, of course, known for steak, I love Longhorn for the Chicken tenders salad. If you're a salad eater or not so much of a Carnivore, you'll love this salad! It's rare to find a steak restaurant that has great meal options for vegetarians and people like myself whom don't eat steak or much red meat. However, Longhorn's fresh chop salad is the exception. You may order just salad or add a protein. My favorite protein is the chicken tenders. Naturally, for all the Canivores in the world, Longhorn has a very large, diverse menu with lots of meal options. This was my first visit to the Longhorn Steakhouse in McAllen. I visited for lunch and the restaurant was very busy. I ordered my salad for takeout and skipped the wait for a table. The takeout order was taken and delivered at the bar. The bartender was very friendly, efficient and took my order correctly!

For being Valentine's Day we waited 1 hr. which wasn't to bad. Our waitress was friendly and made sure we well taken care of. I want to thank the chef for an amazing juicy and tender longhorn steak. It left my mouth watery. The strawberry and pecan salad was delicious. If anyone is like me who doesn't like salads you should try it. The combination of the pecan and fruit with the the raspberry vinaigrette makes it delicious. We also had the white cheddar stuff mushrooms and it was yummy😋. I'm sure coming back.

Went to eat a week ago with friends, it was good had a bread roll with butter, ordered the sirloin steak med- well but it came out well just a tad more dry than I fancy. I thought maybe the waitress misunderstood But service was decent and wait was moderate.

It was slow to be seated or even be acknowledged even thought it was very slow afternoon around 3pm. The hostess or whoever showed us to our table had seen us at least twice waiting. She eventually got us a table right by the kitchen and when asked if we could be relocated, by that I mean she walked away as my daughter was speaking to her, eyes rolling and all, as she walked away, so my daughter calls her back politely and we get a booth closer to where everyone else was sitting. The waiter was very polite and knowledgeable as well as friendly and patient. He made suggestions and answered our questions graciously. The food came out promptly, and was very good. We each had the NY strip with our individual sides, and a shared strawberry shortcake. Everything was cooked to order and seasoned to perfection except for the mashed potatoes my kiddo ordered. They tasted like instant mashed potatoes that not even the scallions, sour cream, and cheese could make taste better. The dessert was very good as well. Hopefully the hostess was just having a bad moment and this is not the norm. Other than that a good experience and would highly recommend.

One of the best Porterhouse steaks we've had

Steak was cooked perfectly. Brussel sprouts were very good! Service was top-notch. The only negative was that the light fixture sconce at our table was filthy. A little deep cleaning, and I'd give this place 5 stars.

The food was good, the wait time was about 30-50 but more like 1 hour with getting seated and getting our drinks but the waiter we did get wasn't really with us all the time. They were running the bar, so I'll give them that. Overall, good place, good food, nice waiters, plus the bread we got as appetizers were really good as well .

The Delmonico is worth every bit of praise it gets. This is the only reason I visited and will be the sole reason I return. If you come for anything else you’re probably making a mistake. Medium rare was perfectly cooked. Marbling throughout reminded me of a juicy slab of Texas brisket. Not 5 stars as the service was lacking. I asked for more butter which was completely forgotten about and was checked on maybe once during my meal. Baked potato needed more sour cream as well.

The food and service was awesome. The booth back we were sat at was filthy dirty. I didn't see it when we first sat down. As I looked around, I noticed that all the booths that I could see were also dirty. When the waitress asked how everything was we pointed it out to her. She agreed someone wasn't doing their job and she would let her manager know. We would like to go back because the food and service was so good. If we do I will be inspecting the booths and if they are still dirty we will leave and not ever go back. I didn't rate the atmosphere because of the dirty booth.

We came here on Sunday when the other restaurants were packed and we seated quickly. The food was good and the service is pretty good as well. We only had an issue with the insect. They cried on the table to get our food. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

For a steakhouse, you'd expect the steak to be great. However, the irony is that steak is the one thing you want to stay away from. This location is in a busy area. Wait times are to be expected. And fortunately, the wait time wasn't too bad for a busy weekend. Service was great. Our server was attentive and went beyond average. Food was what surprised me in a bad way. Ordered the renegade sirloin and red rock grilled shrimp. Although the steak came out to the medium rare that I asked for, it was tough and extremely hard to chew. The lack of flavor did not help either. While sirloin is not the best cut, I've never had one that took work to eat. The shrimp ended up tasting better than the steak. Fries were not crispy and lacked flavor. Pricing is decent. Most cuts of meat stay in a competitive price range. However, the expensive cuts are overpriced. You can get those elsewhere for cheaper. Although I wanted to enjoy my dinner, the steak and fries came out to be the worst part of the meal, leaving me feeling disappointed.

Super bad service. We arrived around 9:40pm, and the restaurant was slow. We waited a few minutes at the stand before someone finally came to help and and sat us down. When we sat down we waited 10 minutes before a server was able to attend us. We ordered all our food at once since we knew that the server was not being attentive. She then took over five minutes to bring us our drinks, which is fine. When we got out food, our drinks were empty and no refill was brought to us. The steak was over cooked and tough. After we finished eating we finally saw our server and asked for refills. At this point we were over the bad service and just asked for the check. Throughout the entire time we were there all of the servers were just chit chatting and not attending to any guest. I was very disappointed as this was the first time I had experienced this service at this restaurant. Hopefully next time, if there is a next time, we will have better service.

I wished I had a better experience 😐 First off, we got there around 9:16, which they close at 10 on sundays. Anyways we got there and we ordered our food and we got it. After that, our server ASHLYN, never came to check on us whatsoever. Me, my mom, and my brother were without drinks for the rest of the night and I was thirsty since I had gotten a ribeye with mashed potatoes which not to mention, my steak and mashed potatoes were luke warm almost cold, especially my potatoes, literally cold! She proceeded to tell us that when last time i went before they closed and they had given me some to go so i know it was a lie. They gave us our stuff finally and we still needed our checks. Finally our server actually comes to ask what else we needed and we said our checks and we wanted to split it and she was like “what did you all get” and my mom was telling her and she cut her off to say “okay so it’s yall two and then you by yourself and you by yourself?” and we were like yeah and she left in a rush and came back and we finally paid and left. She got no tip since both servers had a really bad attitude and it affected her tip because of that. Just because you’re having a bad day or not, does not mean you need to treat your customers bad. Like it’s your last customers of the day, you want to end on a good note so that you could get a tip but she chose to act real bad w attitude so no tip. Bad service!!

Walked in 10 minutes ago with my husband, there was no host/hostess at the door. After a couple of minutes we decided to walk in and sit ourselves. We said there was no one there, to which she said we had to sit there and wait. We went back to the hostess area and still, no one there. The waitress left us there standing by ourselves. There was only two tables in the whole restaurant, so she was not busy. We just walked out. We’ve been there a couple of times before, trying to give it another chance. Service is always slow, waitresses always disappear and don’t come back to check on you. Sad, used to have a descent service and good steaks.

So I took my family out to eat on mother's day, big group, spent a little over $500, worst service ever. The waitress would just walk past us when we tried waving her down. Numerous items were missing from our orders. Every bad experience. We decided to give it another shot and took my family again this time for my brother's, mine and my wife's and mom's birthday in july. Thought maybe it was just mother's day they were busy we should get better service this time. Wrong. We spent about $300 this time, even worse service. It seems like it's customary to not bring out the full orders. We had to ask the waitress numerous times for the sides we ordered. Kept trying to waive our waitress down and she would just walk past us like she didn't see us. Over and over again. And when she would finally acknowledge us we tried asking for our items but as soon as the first person was done telling her what they needed she would walk away and not let the next person tell her what was missing. I was considering going one more time but not even sure if it's worth the frustration and wait time. Not to mention when we went in July it was very slow not many people at all were there. I could understand if maybe the place was packed but there were hardly any people in there that afternoon. Longhorn used to be a really nice restaurant but not sure what happened with the service there. Food is excellent but the service is by far the worst I've experienced. You get better service at the taco stands in reynosa. Hope yal can get your servers in check. Definitely will start lo sing customers.

Rights were violated on my Constitutional Carry rights at this location. Been to this location many many times with open carry. Signs posted outside this facility state a $10000 fine and/or imprisonment to be imposed for unlawful carry of firearm at that location. DOES NOT SAY: IF YOU HAVE FIREARM , WE CANNOT SERVE YOU UNTIL YOU LEAVE IT IN YOUR VEHICLE. Always have a meal with my wife and usually order "1" alcoholic drink, no problems ever. But last night 3/7/25 I was refused service due to my open carry. Texas is now a constitutional carry state BUT I also have a LTC (License to Carry) and have served with the sheriff's dept.but was still denied. Will follow up with legal action.

I've always been a huge fan of Longhorns, but this specific location lacks managerial leadership and professional staff. Professional customer service is non-existent, and the place was filthy. 45-minute wait on an almost empty restaurant is unacceptable. I'll continue to eat at Longhorns, but never I'm never coming back to this location.

Came to have lunch since i found that my father had cancer and instead of relaxing there was a table of 8 ladies making noise as if it was a bar... mind u they were not seating at the bar....will not have lunch here again....these are the photo to see it for yourself..remind parties that there is a level of quietness we must follow....advised mgr on duty..she just smile

I was highly expecting an unforgettable experience leaning to the rumor these guys have thee stakes of stakes. But, I was not our server kept forgetting about us found myself without a drink after I ordered my stake. Next time I'll take us to Texas Roadhouse they never forget about us & I still tipped this LongHorn server over 18% cause it's how I expect to be treated lesson learned. Not returning.

The food was over cooked mash potatoes were cold assume the food was left on the window could never find a server had to get up too get a1 sauce just cause the steak was overdone like a piece of rubber. Saw the server 2 times once when he dropped off the soup and drinks then once when they brought my fiance steak cooked to her liking which was a different server mine was left overdone and 1 time at the end of the meal didn't bother to try to order a dessert cause I might not see the server again

The food was alright but the service was terrible. Our server made us feel like a burden. First of all when we asked for a suggestion for our side she just said she wouldn’t eat what we are ordering, that’s it. Then we asked how was the rice cooked, she said no clue. While serving she wouldn’t pick up any of the cups or dirty plates, and never checked in. At the end when we asked for the dessert, she brought it and just threw the check on the table with it without saying anything else and left right away. It shouldn’t take much to communicate and treat the guests decently. Disappointed at this location :(

I have given this restaurant 5 chances to make me change my mind on their ribeye. But every single time, the meat is very chewy, and full of ligaments, cold and with a raw blood flavor. 👎🏻

Very bad customer if not the worst 2 hours to receive food everytime and the food is always cold. Very badly managed because this continues to happen everytime.

Just walked out of Longhorn by the Exp. 83 (McAllen). We went to have my birthday lunch after church & had no problem getting seated. The place was half full, but for around 15 minutes, no one came to greet us or even take our drink order. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids, and they are not quiet. But since being seated, everyone walked past us and never acknowledged us. We were seated in a round table in the middle of all the booths. Today was my birthday, so aside from good food, I wanted great service. My go to place is Salt Grass, but decided to give Longhorn a try since they had lobster. Won't be coming back to this place. We ended up at Salt Grass and got seated right away. The Server was attentive and the Manager came right away to greet us at our table as soon as we sat down.

Did a pick up they forgot 1 side and no gravy and it's something small but still sucks when that's what pulls the meal together. Other then that the chicken Fried steak was really battered and the steak/meat was hard to chew and even cut apart beside using a butter knife. The grilled shrimp on rice was delicious the rice has a great seasoning to it.

This place has gone downhill over the years. It was once one of our top restaurants and we visited pretty frequently. In our most recent visit, which will also be our last, we were seated and waited for someone to serve us for over ten minutes. No one ever came over to check on us. We got up and left. As we left the hostess said "thank you for coming", completely oblivious. When we were waiting for our table, we noticed various employees shuffling in at weird times-five minutes after the hour, seven minutes after the hour, a quarter past the hour. On our previous visit, last year, we were seated at a filthy table. These are all signs of a badly managed place.

My dining experience at this location was very underwhelming. In my opinion the roadhouse & bubbas offers better food in general than this establishments menu. Left hungry and not worth the price for half the quality. The drinks from bar were also very weak and left much to be desired. Definitely not worth it.

The Longhorn brand is one of my favorites. I frequently dine there since I enjoy the dinner and lunch selections. My recent interactions with this specific Longhorn in McAllen have been horrific. Here are the main issues: Upcharges without prior notification and authorization to your form of payment. Beware of requesting any substitutions to your meal. This location will charge you an additional charge without notifying you prior to your curbside pickup order. Please pay attention to your receipt and credit card statements. Spoiled/Moldy Food If you share my love of the strawberry salad, I'd advise you to double-check your order. The last two times I’ve visited the location I found mold growing on the strawberries and lettuce of the salad. Every time I had a complaint with management, it was ignored. The management is extremely condescending and unprofessional in the way the addresses the issue. Management was only willing to remake the salad or grant a refund if I drove back to the location before closing. They were unapologetic about the entire ordeal. Please exercise caution when visiting this location. 0 out of 10 would NEVER recommend. Photos speak for themselves.

We were a party of six and received mediocre service, but that was OK to me. The part that I didn’t appreciate was the COLD food we got. Steak, shrimp and baked potato were SUBPAR!

Didn't even get to try the food. It was my first time going there I was so excited to try something new but as soon as I entered the smell made me nauseous. They told me and my family for a wait time of 25 minutes and they said they would text us when it's our turn, 50 minutes later no text we had to walk in and ask. Eventually we had to wait 5 more additional minutes. Once seated we where practically ignored it passed 15 minutes not one person came to ask us what drinks we want. We weren't dressed properly but that doesn't mean we don't have money. If you wanna go to a restaurant and dress cozy I don't recommend this place because it's like they judge you based on your outfit choice. And the wait time is so unnecessary when there is many open available tables all around the place. There is also limited amount of food in the menu. And don't as mentioned already the service is absolutely terrible never again I won't even give it a second chance it's absolutely terrible.

it is my payday. I am so excited to order dinner for my family. I ordered a chicken fried steak and asked for brown gravy. Any gravy at this point would be great, but none was to be found. I live 40 miles from the Longhorn. It's close to where I work. It's just sad because I probably won't eat there again for another month until I get paid and all I'm gonna remember is that the chicken fried steak was dry and there was no gravy for my potatoes and or chicken fried steak ..
