Walked in and thought it was a pizza only place and my wife was wanting a chicken meal. A customer assured us that not only do they have meals but they are great meals. She was right!! My wife loved her dish and then got the Spumoni for dessert. I got the meatball parm hero and it was great also. Very clean, easy, upbeat atmosphere. Will definitely come back when in the area.

He’s very personable, funny and very attentive. Nice atmosphere. Not too loud and tables are well spaced. Tables and booths always available. Great place for meeting friends, family or business meetings.

Great dinner - from the apps to the mains, it was a one better bite after the next. Get the capellini cakes, the calamari, the rice balls… tried the pork chop, halibut, and so many of the pastas. Looking forward to the next meal.

First time client and VERY impressed. Every waiter, busboy was very pleasant and friendly and helpful. Calamari Arribiata and the pork chop with vinegar peppers was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We are definitely going back.

Love LOVE LOVE this place! The food is always so good. We order monthly for our birthday lunches at work and I always get the Minestrone Soup and Mediterranean Salad with Grilled Chicken. Everything is always hot, fresh and so flavorful.

Dined in many times. Great atmosphere and great food. Cool bar area as well. Catered Christmas from here twice and food was awesome both times. During the pandemic, we have been getting takeout. The most recent time they forgot an iced tea we had ordered. No biggie- didn’t want to make a stink of it. Without me asking, they drove back around the time they closed and gave it to me along with a complimentary dessert. Some people still know how business is done. Highly recommend!

Manny was our server tonight he and the rest of the staff were extremely pleasant they also followed all COVID19 safety precautions which is much appreciated. CONSISTENTLY the best food ever! I go to La Piazza quite frequently and each time the food is delicious and just the way I remember it from the last time. Not only is the food fantastic the ambience is top notch. I’ve never ever had a bad dish there, even when I try a random item off the menu I am blown away by how good it is! The owner Tommy is so friendly and welcoming as well as the staff. Customer service is 5 stars and that is why I continue to go back time and time again. I highly recommend!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant. Everything on the menu is outstanding! My sister loves the mussels in garlic and white wine sauce. My favorites are all the fish entrees. And the bread basket is amazing! I had the lobster pasta special. It was out of this world!

La Piazza is truly an experience, not just a meal. Food is always fresh, they have the most delicious shrimp oreganate and pasta selection. The service is amazing, staff is friendly and helpful. Timea, the manager is attentive and fantastic! She makes sure that we receive great service by staff every time we are there. We love this place. This is the second time my husband and I visit this restaurant. The service is great and the food super delicious and well cooked. Came here with a group. Everything was excellent from service to drinks to the food. We had the calamari, baked clams, rice balls and pizza with pepperoni and hot honey to start. The calamari was best I have ever had. The pizza was incredible. I am on a diet so i went with the roasted chicken, vegetables and potatoes and it was so tasty and full of flavor, even for a “healthy option”. I also tried my friends halibut and another friends bronzino. Everything was incredible. Service was friendly and the perfect pace.

Went with a group for lunch on a Saturday (we had a reservation; we got there early and they were able to seat us immediately). Food was very good, staff was attentive (although it was fairly empty so don't know what it's like when crowded).

We’ve been ordering from La Piazza regularly and have always enjoyed their delicious food—but tonight, it wasn’t the food that inspired us to leave a review. It was the exceptional honesty and integrity of the delivery driver, Eduar. After paying in cash using new bills, we accidentally handed him $300 instead of the intended $100. He could have easily walked away without saying a word, but instead, he immediately texted us upon noticing the mistake and returned to our door within minutes to give back the extra $200. In a time when it’s all too easy to assume people will act in their own self-interest, Eduar’s actions were a powerful reminder that there are still people who choose to do the right thing simply because it’s the right thing. His professionalism, kindness, and integrity made a real impression on us. People like Eduar make us want to keep supporting this restaurant—not just for the great food, but for the kind and honest people behind it.

One of my preferred dining spots, this restaurant consistently delivers outstanding food and service! I had dinner there last Friday evening with a friend. Despite having a reservation, my friend was unexpectedly delayed. The server checked in with me three times before she arrived, offering drinks, detailing the day's specials, and bringing my drink within six minutes of ordering. His attentive and polite service continued throughout the meal. Our pasta dishes were both beautifully presented and delicious, featuring creamy sauces and portions generous enough for two meals.

We went out for my wife's birthday and I've been here a few times and the food overall is very good. My 5-year-old son loves pasta so this was a good choice for him as well. Prices were very good in terms of the majority of dishes and their wine selection was nice. I would come back again.

We had a dinner party for my daughter’s wedding in the Garden Room. It was fabulous! The food was beyond our expectations and the service was impressive. We were concerned because it was during a torrential rain storm…. But you would never have known it, the room was perfect!! The atmosphere was comfortable, intimate and dry! The staff was extremely accommodating, having the room ready for us to add our finishing touches to the decor we requested. I cannot thank them enough for making a less than perfect day amazing 💕

Ordered catering for an event this past weekend and my guests are still talking about the food. We had the combo platter, chicken Parm, penne Alla vodka, shrimp oreganata, and a Mediterranean salad. The food arrived ahead of time and came with all the serving spoons and condiments. Everything was delicious. One of my guests actually went into the restaurant the next day to order food! I’d been driving past this restaurant for 14 years while living on Long Island and always wanted to try it, but never got around to it while living on the island. But tonight, when visiting a dear friend in the area; I suggested it and they had said that they’d actually been there once before for dinner years ago and had a pleasant experience. And so, tonight was just that; great atmosphere, awesome espresso-martini, delicious food from start to finish, stellar staff/service and tasty dessert! Will definitely be back when visiting the island when I want a solid meal, in a comfortable, but still aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Our waiter Josh was a pleasure from start to finish; hope he’s feeling better after having to leave early for the evening after becoming ill! I’ll/we’ll definitely be back in the future!

Amazing food and fantastic service. I enjoyed a meal with a group of 10 on a Tuesday evening. We ordered the baked clams, margarita pizza, capellini cakes and the calamari arrabbiata. The calamari and capellini cakes were absolutely delightful. We were also provided with a nice combo of garlic knots and bread which were fresh, warm and crispy — perfect to enjoy every ounce of the amazing sauce with the appetizers. For my entree I enjoyed the rigatoni fiorentina which was exceptional in taste and a generous portion. We brought home leftovers. Food was great and not too salty and the staff was attentive and on top of everything. I did not drink but the others in our party indicated that their cocktails were well made. There was a good variety of options and everyone was pleased. 5/5. We will be back.

I had a fantastic date night here a little while back. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and feel to it. Perfect for a casual date night. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We shared 2 wonderful dishes. The salmon piccata and the pumpkin Ravioli. The salmon was flavorful and tender. The rice sucked up that wonderful sauce and the artichoke was a great compliment. The dish was plated very beautiful as well. The Ravioli was amazing. I wasn't sure if pumpkin was going to work in Ravioli, but it did very well. I can't wait for another date night so I can come here again.

One of my go-to restaurants because the food and service are consistently very good! I met a friend for dinner here Friday night (7/7). Our reservation was for 4:30 and my friend was unexpectedly late. Our server came over 3 times before she even arrived to ask about drinks, clarify the day's specials and brought my drink within 6 minutes of ordering. Throughout the meal he continued his prompt and courteous service. Both our pasta dishes were attractively presented and very good...creamy sauces and enough in each dish for 2 meals.

We went here to celebrate Fathers Day early. Our waiter Manny was very attentive and nice. We brought our 3 year old and he suggested food for him and made sure we had everything we need. The service was impeccable. There was little to no wait time for the food to arrive which really matters when dining with a toddler. We had the rigatoni Florentine, Caesar Salad and Shrimp oreganate it was all very flavorful. My toddler had the spaghetti and meatballs. Needless to say we will be back.

A good Italian restaurant in Melville with a serene setting, good food, and offers great service. My waiter Caesar was always around answering questions and was a pleasant person. Everything we ordered was of a good standard. Definitely recommend it!

Best stuffed mushrooms I’ve ever put in my mouth

There for a 75th birthday. We were greeted immediately with a smile. The server introduced himself and made sure we had water and asked if we needed anything. There was ample bread , butter and snacks on the tables. The menu had a wide selection of pasta and mains. The food was good although a little salty. The portions were more than enough. Just a little disappointed that there was no tahition vanilla gelato but the hazelnut and pistachio were just as good. Overall a pleasant experience

I was disappointed with the food. The salad had way too much dressing, so the salad was soggy before I was done eating it. The cheese on my burger was not what it said on the menu, and the sweet potato fries were undercooked, not crispy at all.

Had a lovely meal and some great dessert cocktails . There was a decent selection of entrees and apps , maybe a little pricey but mostly with it . Loved the coffee art — so fun!

This a nice casual place to chill with family and friends. Super friendly staff from the valet guys, to the hostess to our fantastic waiter Chase. We enjoyed some nice cocktails. I went for the Caft Cocktail called the Cucumber Gin Smash which consisted of Hedrick Gin, Kettle Citron, St. Germaine, Muddled Cucumber, Port Wine and a fresh squeezed lime. Very nice! My wife enjoyed her Malibu Bay Breeze. They also had a good wine list as well. As for the dinner we went for the Mediterranean Banzinni and the Beet Salad with Goat Cheese. Both were delicious. Chase was a terrific waiter. He was extremely personable, helpful and a knowledgeable. We would definitely go back!

Beautiful restaurant. Excellent food. Excellent service. This is *not* a casual pizzeria / restaurant - it is a bit more upscale. The prices are higher than what you pay at nearby pizzerias (like Victor's or Bellagio's) -- lunch for 7 was around $350 including tax and gratuity -- but you cannot compare a small order of penna a la vodka with branzino! :-)

What a great find this restaurant was and alot nicer inside then expected. When we came to this spot for lunch we were expecting a typical La Piazza, as they have numerous locations; however, this was a nice resturant which was nicely decorated. Got a personal pie and salad to split. Both were delicious and came out quick. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a nice bar area also, which looked like a defent happy hour spot. Highly recommend this spot.

The hall's antique and sophisticated atmosphere and the friendly service of the staff left a good impression. Especially bronzino and skirt steak were really delicious.

Lovely restaurant that’s perfect for lunch! We came here for lunch and I had the lasagna. The dish itself was much smaller than I expected but it was really delicious! The bread we received was warm and soft - I loved the garlic bread! I would definitely come back here to try more dishes!

The stuffed mushrooms and Chicken Francese were both very good, and the sea bass special had great flavor (extremely oily ). The Margherita pizza and wild mushroom tagliatelle pasta (takeout) were just okay, and the pizza dessert was fine. Overall, great service and a few standout dishes — we’d come back to try more from the menu!

The food was good but the prices are higher than La Piazza in Merrick (which is our usual spot) and the menu is a little different. The Merrick location gives you a choice of free soup or salad with any entree. This location charges for sides with an entree. One of us ordered a side salad and they charged $10.

Went on a Saturday night at 5:30. Two of us, no reservation. Hostess, (older woman, angry school teacher type), was rude and curt. Gave us 30 minute wait time and said we could sit at the bar, " But not those front stools." Place was stifling hot, so we sat out in entrance foyer instead. After waiting awhile, I went in to check on status. Asked a manager, and rude hostess lady jumped in and snarled, " It's only been 20 minutes, YOU HAVE 10 LEFT!!!" I swear, I wanted to go right back at her, but stared her down instead, with younger hostesses looking back at me with empathy. Was clear she is a mega pleasure (%^] to work with! Finally got seated. Server Jose, was awesome. My drink was really, really strong. Food was over the top salty. Place, again, was boiling hot. Very dark, glitzy table area. Extremely crowded. Valet lot packs cars in. Suggest self-parking in another lot somewhere.

I ordered their margherita pizza, but it was disappointing. I had been looking forward to dining in, as I usually get their regular pizza for takeout. Unfortunately, the pizza I received barely had any cheese – it looked like it had just been covered in ragù. I could barely finish one slice. On the bright side, my friend ordered the penne alla vodka and seemed much more satisfied with it. While I’m open to giving it another try, I’m hesitant. I wish I could have had their regular pizza in a personal size instead of what I was served. The server also mentioned it would be like the one I got to take out!!!!

The takeout pizza is not like the other La Piazza locations. I gave it like 4 tries, thinking I went at the wrong time or got the wrong pie, but they’re just not good and it’s different from their pizzerias. They don’t keep anything on the counter, it’s made to order only, which is fine but the pizza is not. I have to make the trip to La Piazza Plainview for pizza night instead.

Been here twice. The food is very good. However, both times, the wait staff starts out great but then forgets about you. Our dinner was finished and dishes cleared, but it took 10 minutes to ask for dessert menus and over 20 minutes later he finally came back to the table to take our order. We were going to order 4 desserts, but by then we just wanted the check.

Average food at best however highly priced. Fried calamari was cold and chewy (definitely frozen) and my entrées both barely warm. Highlight of dinner was our server Tracy. She’s truly a blessing for this establishment, thus 3 stars. Honestly speaking, will not be back. One appetizer, two entrées and a bottle of wine with tax and tip is $170. There are so many other places I’d rather spend that much and I receive a much more rewarding meal. This restaurant is all glitz, but no substance.

Ordered my usual, penne a la vodka for takeout. Portions used to be huge but now it's so tiny! Unbelievable considering cost has increased so much as well.

I went with several friends, but we didn't like the food very much. I think they need to change their menu. Of the entire dinner, the only delicious thing was the dessert. Tiramisu. It's a good atmosphere, the waiters are very friendly, I think they need to add a little flavor to the food.

Overpriced, and not always as advertised. The fettuccine Alfredo sauce is runny and not thick. I ordered on Doordash for pickup and it looked nothing like the creamy, sauce-covered pasta as pictured. When I asked for more Alfredo sauce at the restaurant, they charged me for it, even after having spent close to $300 on the order. Also this item says it comes with "shaved parmesan" and instead they gave me grated parmesan, (after having forgotten it in the first place) and it was the kind that goes on pizza. Then again, these are the pizza guys in the back and I don't think they are well-versed on the delivery menu or actual menu items of the restaurant? One of them even said I should have "asked for the sauce and parmesan" in advance when ordering on the app! I said "how was I supposed to know the fettucine alfredo was going to have runny sauce with barely any on it?” Plus, I showed him that it literally says on the menu item, "WITH SHAVED PARMESAN." These items are not cheap (almost $30!), so I don’t feel i'm in the wrong for having expectations that the food should look and be as-advertised. Anyways, a little disappointed as this was for Mother's Day celebration at home. Maybe would have been better to dine-in but she's nearly 90 and not very mobile.

This evening I took my girlfriend out for Valentine’s Day here and I must say the service was by far the worst I’ve had. The server Jose did not come to check on our table once, we saw him one time all night and that was when we just sat down. We were rushed and asked right away what we wanted to order and the food took an hour to come to our table. Also we had to ask the busboy for the check several times because Jose was nowhere to be found. During dinner I went to the restroom and saw Jose and he laughed and said I hope your food comes out soon and saw I was very displeased and kept trying to joke around with me. I understand it was busy and it was a holiday but he was very unprofessional and I will not be coming here again.

I came in today to sit outside and enjoy some Calamari as I usually do. I sat there for 28 minutes without a server coming to my table. One of the food runners brought water and bread. They also kept coming out to give the next table their check, take the payment, and clear the table. They ignored me the entire time. Crazy. As I was leaving, I let the hostess know. She apologized but didn’t get the manager, owner, nothing. So I left. Never again.

Ordered 2 chicken parmigiana hero to go with french fries. Wow! I don’t understand how any restaurant would allow this food to leave the premises. At $16 a sandwich you would expect better quality. The sandwich is visibly burnt and the chicken is very dry. You lose customers this way. You are better off throwing this out and making a proper sandwich instead of serving this to go. Its like out of sight, out of mind.

I’ve been a loyal La Piazza customer for over 20 years—first in Plainview, then in Melville—and it’s always been a family favorite. Unfortunately, my recent experience was unacceptable. I ordered a dinner portion of Penne Alla Vodka (over $20), and the portion was shockingly small. When I called to ask about it, the employee was rude and dismissive—first claiming they had changed the dish size, then switching to say they now weigh every portion. The explanations made no sense, and there was no effort to make things right. After two decades of loyalty, it’s disappointing to see how little they value their longtime customers. I won’t be returning.

The hostess was super rude. Gave me a nasty look. Her smile disappeared as soon as she saw me. I ordered and it was $20 for the cheapest possible one order of pizza for one person...? She told me I had to wait outside or in the pick -up area with the chiefs (where it was extremely hot) it's disgusting they have the poor workers in extreme heat when it's 55 degrees outside anywyay. The chiefs were extremely nice and deserve better. It's the 1st time I ever came here and the place was completely empty. I will never come back here. Absolutely ridiculous.
