Very good Mexican restaurant with generous portion sizes. Service was also very good, didn’t even have to ask to have another round of chips and salsa given to me. I’m hoping I continue having job sites nearby so I can come visit again for lunch.

From the complimentary chips and salsa to the delicious crab enchilada, El Cerrito never skipped a beat, the portions were generous and the food cooked to perfection. Service remained quick and friendly for the duration of our stay. Although, compared to the competition the prices seemed a little steep, ranging from $15-$20 per main dish, personally I'd say it was still worth it though.

Food, service and atmosphere are great. Had an Asada Super Taco and a couple Fish Tacos. Enjoyed the Asada more although the fish was good as well. Recommend

I ate here with my childhood best friend over the holidays. I am an avid Mexican food lover, both as a consumer and in the kitchen. I've eaten Mexican restaurant across the U.S. and Mexico, and without hyperbole, this seafood shrimp plate (Camarones Veracruz) was probably the best seafood dish I've had, which to be honest I was not expecting. The shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked - so tender yet firm. The sauce, probably made from some concoction of Guajillo chiles, chipotle, tomatoes, onions, and garlic, was also perfect. The enchilada was wonderful as well. Everything about thie plate was perfection. I had a nice Jarritos Tamarindo to go alongside the meal as well. The service was very friendly. I would give this establishment 10 stars if I could. If I didn't live in Iceland, I would eat here at least twice a week.

It's quite hard to find a proper Mexican place nearby. Me and my wife loves the fish taco and camarones a la diabla (deviled shrimp). If I visit Stanford again, this is the first place I want to have a lunch. Personal best.

Great place to get Mexican Food, generous portions. Delicious food at a good price. The service was outstanding. We enjoyed the beef burrito and tropical chicken salad. The horchata and hibiscus drinks were perfect with our meals. I highly recommend if you are looking for great service and great food.

Overall pretty solid, we ordered the Aztecs and it was filling. We added chicken to the quesadilla and it was seasoned so well. Definitely want to come back, this fed two people and we were both full 👍🏻🌮

What a hidden gem! Solid American-Mexican food served in a homey setting that slightly feels like a 70s diner. Really friendly service and the portions are generous! I loved the grilled sea bass plate and the taco salad, which was lightly dressed even without me having to ask! There were plenty of folks there but we were seated right away at 12:30pm on a Friday. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available!

We had a phenomenal lunch here today! The food was excellent and service was exceptional. The lovely waiter brought yummy chips and salsa to the table, and I ordered extra guac which was nicely seasoned. For mains we had a pastor burrito and enchiladas suizas - both came with rice and refried beans, and both were absolutely delicious! Portions were so generous we had to take half home for later! We will absolutely be back, what a great find.

Great authentic Mexican food. Fresh and crispy complimentary nachos as starters! Good portions and quality. Everything was cooked perfectly and the margarita was very good too. Fast and kind service. I’d definitely go back. Highly recommended!

I have eaten here many times. The service and food are great.the portions are generous, too. It can get a little crowded. But there is also comfortable seating outside in the shade which also has heating for cooler weather.

I always got a chile relleno there is delicious. But , I got today and they just give me a cheese wrapped inn egg. .. they told me that is chile relleno, very disappointed..

This used to be my favorite dish but recently the meat is always burnt and apparently they don’t read notes from DoorDash! This is what you serve to customers??
