Opinions de Kaze Sushi & Hibachi Mesquite
Great prices and great sushi. Our server was super nice/funny. My only gripe was the floors were kinda sticky? But the food and service were good enough we didn’t really care.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I ordered avacado rolls and they added plenty to the rolls instead of getting away with adding less like other places would. I'd recommend this place to my friends and family. The only negative I saw was the free salad type dish that they give. It was very plain and didn't have much flavor, but it was free so I didn't see any reason to detract a star because of that.
This is a great Sushi and Hibachi dining experience for this area. Mesquite does not offer alot of nicer establishments, but this is a hidden gem for the area. Always clean, friendly, not a crazy loud crowd. Sushi, sake, japanese beer choices. Regular menu and booths if you do not feel like waiting for the Hibachi table to fill up. Always attentive manager around. We have been here more than once and will come back.
Our favorite local spot. Great food and service. Texas Cowboy roll is the best.
Went here to celebrate my son's 21st birthday with a few family and friends. It was a terrific experience. The service was great. Enjoyed it.
This is my go to sushi restaurant in the area. I’ve been a costumer here for over 15 years now. This is the best sushi. Always served pretty, at perfect temperatures, and definitely delicious. The wait staff is friendly, informative, and the atmosphere here is great. Forever a local here.
I order here often, the sushi is super good. The Cheif who worked on 12/14/25 made the sashimi wonderfully.
The Bibimbap and fried rice are excellent! Sushi is very good too. The service is quick and the staff is friendly.
Good stuff. Walked in and asked how to order to go or take out and the hostess was polite and escorted me to the bar. Ordered a white Russian while I waiting on my sushi box A (in picture) priced right. Little intimidating because I've never had it before but I rolled the dice and was very pleased with the service and atmosphere for the time I was there. I will be back there again. Don't be afraid of trying something new. It was only 18$ go for it.
Came here on Mother’s Day and really enjoyed the food! I ordered the Filet & Sea (i selected Salmon) and my husband ordered the Filet & Chicken. Service was excellent, food was delicious and staff were friendly! Definitely a more casual feel for a hibachi but still nice. I would recommend and will return in the future!
The best sushi in mesquite!! The service is excellent, we’ve been there 2-3x, and the last time we were there the sushi chefs at the sushi bar asked if we wanted try several of the menu items for free. Of course we were SO DOWN! Everything is so delicious, we’ve never had to wait for a table, fair prices. Calm atmosphere but always super busy. I’m obsessed with thjs place! 🍣🍱🤩💕🥢🥋
Delicious, delicious, DELICIOUS! came on a date around 3pm. Wasn't crowded at all. The menu is looked up or "scanned". I did the hibachi grill during this date and it was phenomenal. Had a great chef to cook our food in front of us and he had some entertaining tricks up his sleeve.interacted with every customer on his seating. It was a great place for a date. My date enjoyed herself and the food. As for the price, well I came in knowing about what I was going to pay for the experience and for delicious food so it was delightful to even go home with plenty leftovers. Also the chef wasn't shy about the amount of food to give to us. Gave us extra I felt like.
Had a Saturday lunch here and ordered the Chicken Yaki Udon, Beef Yaki Soba, Green Frog Roll, & Red Snapper Bites. The Udon and Soba were really good. The roll and red snapper bites were excellent! Prices are a bit high otherwise I would have ordered another roll or red snapper bites. Nice atmosphere with nice wait staff. Good experience overall.
The food was great and the atmosphere was just perfect. Sure the food might take a little while to get to you but it is worth it. The chefs are really entertaining and fun. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat at and I will definitely be going back.
Our go to place for Sushi in Mesquite... Lobster Dynamite Roll is my #1 Favorite...it is so delicious...sweet, crunchy, savory 😋 Clear soup with mushroom and scalliions, tempura vegetables.. spicy tuna rolls, siracha mayo ...just a few of our favorites. Service is spotty at times, but today it was Spot On! Ashley H. Listened. Best Waitress!!! Got our orders perfect and gave Excellent customer service! Kudos Ashley...they need you in the evenings.
An absolute gem! The atmosphere as you walk in is amazing and exciting. My server was incredibly attentive and friendly. I had the opportunity to enjoy some delicious gyozas. They were soft and tender, and a house soup was served alongside them. I preferred the Korean beef plate as my dinner. This plate did not disappoint!! Highly recommend for a nice couple dinner date.
This was my third or fourth visit to Kaze Sushi & Hibachi, and it never disappoints! I ordered the dumplings as an appetizer, followed by the Spicy Seafood Ramen, paired with a Sake Sampler. Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The strawberry lemonade was a refreshing bonus! 😋 The quality and consistency keep me coming back, and I’ll definitely be returning again soon.
My family had lunch here and it was great. The service was prompt and our server was friendly. We ordered a kid's chicken nugget meal and two hibachi lunches. The hibachi lunches were great, well seasoned, and a good portion. The food was also ready in a very timely manner and brought to our table while hot and fresh. We’ll be back again to try out their sushi.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! \nNever a wait and the service is always amazing! I had a beautiful Mai Tai, fried rice and LOBSTER hibachi for lunch. I went home and went straight to sleep, it was perfect!
Been going here for years great food /service always a good time coming here. Food never disappoints great atmosphere delicious Asian cuisine and decent prices
Clear soup starter and fried rice was just delicious!! Our hibachi chef was very talkative and entertaining (talked a little too much maybe, and burned someone else's salmon 😬 oops) eel avocado roll left much to be desired, but the teriyaki chicken and vegetables were tasty. Aside from feeling like we were eating in a sauna, the experience was overall satisfactory. A little expensive even though we shared a hibachi plate
Our Hibachi chef was wonderful and our server was pretty attentive as well. We were seated promptly as a group of 5 at at Hibachi table by the door. Overall the food was good. However, their a/C was not working so it was pretty toasty despite them having fans. They were pointed away from us so we didn’t really feel much circulation being in the corner.
Excellent sushi. The food is great and the service is above and beyond despite the half-hour waiting to be served. I have been a customer for years and I keep going back. You will not regret going to Kaze. I didn't give a five-star review for two reasons. First, because there is always room for improvement. Second, for taking away the complimentary Mezo soup you used to serve with any order at the restaurant. The Dallas branch still does but Mesquite doesn't for a reason I can't understand.
I think they were understaffed today as there was nobody available to greet guest. When someone did arrive, they were rushed ... straight to business ... did you scan the menu ... what menu ... table or habachi? Portions seem to be quite small for the prices paid. I got a friend sushi roll, vegetable egg roll and chicken habachi dinner. Great presentation, food, and conversation. Kept my mask on most of the time but guest forget we are in a pandemic once they get inside. Servers wear mask but not cooks. I am sure this is difficult to manage. It is a risk everytime you step out onto this kind of environment. One habachi center had what looked like 20 participants ... they were all over one another ... on the other side of the room. Check was reasonable and all is well ... I hope. It is what it is.
The Sushi and Hibachi Dinner was good. I got the Salmon it was very flavorful. I went on a Sunday evening and there was about a 30 minute wait. However, their ventilation system was not up to par. It was very warm in the restaurant and while sitting in front of the Hibachi grill made it uncomfortably warm.
Came with a friend for lunch and we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and provided great customer service! We were brought the clear soup and salad w/dressing and I enjoyed both - the soup was piping hot and the dressing was delicious on the salad! We ordered sushi - Philadelphia Roll and Geisha Roll. I thoroughly enjoyed the Geisha Roll and would definitely recommend it! I settled on the shrimp hibachi and that came with the veggies and fried rice. The shrimp was cooked nicely and I enjoyed the rice as it wasn’t overly coated with soy sauce. My only complaint was the veggie was pretty much charred - and the veggies are my favorite part! Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would recommend the spot but less char on the veggies!
Kaze Sushi was a great experience as we had the private back room with 4 chefs to cater to our friend group. While the prep time was quite long the food tasted good and everyone had a great time with the chef interactions with food. The portions were also great and everyone was full. In addition, they had karaoke going for the whole party and was a wonderful experience. I’d recommend for big parties to rent their back room and have some great entertainment while you eat

Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Had to wait about 15 mins for a table. It's a little dark and hot inside. Our server was friendly. Ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. It tasted good. Tried the steak bento box. Steak was a little tough and needed more sauce. Also ordered the Spider Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. My husband said the rice was undercooked. Spent about $60 for two people. Probably won't be back.
This is the first time I've been here and I ordered the dinner hibachi. The lettuce in the salad was yellow and bitter. The soup was extremely salty. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, even if a bit forgetful. Better quality ingredients would go a long way and don't cost that much more. I probably won't return, but I'm hopeful that they improve. Overall the feeling is like they're cutting corners everywhere - which isn't hibachi to me.
Food was good. It's the pricing that sucks. You can find much better sushi places for half the price that they offer. The yaki soba & udon noodles are set to a good price. But sushi, super expensive.
Not bad wasnt busy during lunch hours.. food is gud tho.its abut pricey tooo
I really enjoyed going here with my husband. This was our first time and the service was average. The waiter didn't really explain how to order. We did not know that everyone had to order at the same time for the hibachi so I didn't get to order. She then explained after I ordered my 2 sushi rolls that I could have ordered an entree but it would have been cooked in the back. The sushi was really good and tasted fresh and my husband was able to find out what fish came in that day for the sushi. So I am not sure if our bill was decent for sushi and hibachi but 3 sushi rolls and a teriyaki chicken hibachi and a soda was $58 before tip. Our hibachi chef was really good and put on a pretty okay show. He was better than others there, he had a bit of flare. I would come back.
We took a party of 6 for a double birthday. Me and my daughter share a birthday and it was her 21st birthday. We went on a Tuesday night with a reservation. We all showed up at the same time but the host was very unpleasant and not friendly at all. He had us wait and put us at the worst table. The table was right in the center by and not one of the nicer ones tucked away and against the wall. Our waitress was super nice but easily confused and forgot the white rice for the 3 who didn't want fried rice. Overall the hibachi part was terrible. There was no show or excitement at all. We have a griddle at home and should have just put on our own show. Again, we did right and made a reservation. There were 2 people who had the same birthday and one turned 21. The only person to say happy birthday was the waitress. For what we paid it should have been better overall. We won't be back.
Sushi was alright to subpar. Bento boxes are good. Took some time to get seated and even longer to get the food. Was concerned when I asked the wait staff the name of the sushi roll they had just placed down and they didn't know the name. Staff seemed....ill-equipped, but were nice and friendly. Cant recommend unless your desperate.
Went to dinner with my family, was told it would be a 20- 30 min wait for a teppan. Was seated and we waited over an hour for our cook to come to us. A family that arrived AFTER us was taken care of and ate before our cook came to us. I went to talk to a manager regarding this and she did not provide a solution instead she just blamed it on the server putting in our order last.
Due it being Presidents’ Day the lunch menu was off the record. It took them 15 minutes to seat us with no one in the restaurant. Our chef did an amazing job but took another 15 minutes to begin cooking. Not sure how well the day was going but the vibes were off. I must say the food was good, the server was not great. It took him a while to warm up to us and overall the food was really good but the service was really not great. The piña colada was a highlight as the overall taste even if on the rocks was phenomenal ordered the steak and scallops and it was delicious food was 5 stars and my chef was incredible wished it would’ve been a longer show but it was short and sweet.
Things we've liked here are the gyozas, sushi, orange chicken and spicy ramen. Price is high for me vs flavor and quality. Now, I don't know if it's the cooking itself that's mid or just stuff like yaki soba being incredibly pedestrian. Service is spotty but seems to be so everywhere lately. Hibachi is apparently a huge draw here so if you're not there for that, you might get left unattended for a while because a 20 people table just came in. A few different times we've had to try new stuff because they were out of this or that. Overall it's a mixed bag of passable expensive experience and sadness for not having gone somewhere else that day.
(Not a hibachi review) The sushi is GREAT. Only complaint is the wait, have been there twice and have had to sit for about 30, and 40+ minutes. "Hiring all positions" sign on the door, so I guess it might be a staffing issue. Have tried quite a few rolls, a yaki udon, a tofu appetizer, the avocado bomb, etc., and all were divine. Can't say it's not maybe worth the wait sometimes, but just expect that part to be unpleasant. Bathroom is very nicely styled, but needs to be kept cleaner. Other than the wait, service is pretty good but not outstanding.
We had a short wait time for a hibachi table. The service was pretty good. The food was good. The seasoning on the food was great! The atmosphere was very busy. The table seemed small as far as having barely any leg room. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I had a better show at a competitor. The atmosphere could have looked better on the inside. However, the place was clean, and our chef even wore a facemask. I wish we could have had a more interactive experience. The hibachi meal includes your choice of protein, soup, salad, and 2 pieces of grilled shrimp. I rarely like the soups at these types of places, and it was excellent! The salad had a different type of dressing than I am used to, but it was fine. Some other people in my group thought the dressing was too sweet. We had fried rice, which was tasty. I had Filet Mignon. Some other people had NY Strip with Chicken and California Rolls or other Sushi rolls there.

Not a good experience. I love hibachi and have gone to many different places. This place was utterly unimpressive. Chef was not entertaining. Definitely not authentic. Then they had the audacity to add a 15% gratuity on check for 3 people. Food was bland. Definitely won't be going back ever again.
I am very disappointed in Kaze in mesquite. We went there last night for my sons birthday. We sat and waited while all the new people came in and got soup and salad and we never did. I asked our waitress 3 times if we could get soup and salad like everyone around us nothing. Finally the chef came out and was clearly disappointed at the waitress he went and got our soup and salad himself. Our drinks were never refilled not once even after asking her. The food was good but the service and management were horrible. We told them we were there for a birthday party and they didn't sing or anything which is not normal. When we asked to speak to management she came over and said that soup and salad are complementary that we are not charged for it. Like that makes it ok she then said it would be fine if we left a bad review. She could care less. The worst experience ive ever had at a Japanese restaurant.
This was my second time there and it was a disappointment. The chef read off what everyone ordered yet and still he couldn’t get it right asked for vegetables with fried rice didn’t receive them. He came back to cook them yet they were hard. I will not return it’s A NO FOR ME.
A decent Hibachi restaurant in Mesquite. The vibe is subpar for the prices. The taste was a bit lacking for Japanese cuisine. We were a party of only two adults and a child. However, the biggest highlight was an automatic 15% gratuity added to the bill, WITHOUT our permission. Beware of this trick of theirs…
The food was good But they take very long time for one of us Everybody got the food except one of us and they bring his food when everything are finish Even when he ask for the same plate than others Thats so Bad we was ready to leave when they bring his food
Same cute little cooking tricks ... again ... food wasn't really good ... i ordered steak and lobster and the cook did some tricks then chopped my food up and overcooked it. Wasn't impressed.
Old worn interior. Under staffed. Cold dumplings. Plastic forks. Some items on menu not available. Not gonna make it.
Temperature of the restaurant uncomfortably warm. Scallops gritty due to not being cleaned properly. Because of this the rest of my food tasted gritty. Also the scallops were overcooked. New York strip cooked on hibachi had no flavor. Best thing on both plates was stir fried vegetables. Enjoyed watching the chef prepare meal. They did take a percentage off my Scallop meal that was a joke. Asked to speak to manager, never sent one over. Please take note of your bill they automatically take out a 15% Gratuity even if only two in your party . Then when server brings bill for you to sign there is a place for tips .What is this tip for . ??? My tip is we want be back .
The food quality (eel sauce was old and gooey) was below the average sushi restaurant and the service was below the average diner. However they are very proud of their sushi speciality menu items but by proud I mean pricey. We tried a specialty cocktail “Kaze sex” and it tasted worse than Kool-Aid. The only reason I gave them two stars is for the shrimp dumplings we ordered but even those fell apart when we tried to pick them up with our chopsticks. There is definitely room for improvement at this restaurant.
Treated so poorly! The customer service was horrible. We specifically told them our order and they still got it wrong. The cook wasn’t experienced and got most of the orders wrong! FOOD WAS OVERPRICED AND NOT WORTH IT!!NEVER AGAIN
Been coming here for years and our favorite cook is no longer here. Staffing issues and long wait times to get seated and even simple drinks. Waitstaff is either inexperienced or just lazy. Not attentive at all, cook burned , over salted, and over seasoned our food. Sushi is always on point no complaints there. In my opinion, the owner or GM needs to step up and help manage the floor. I rarely write reviews but I just could not help it this time. For a restaurant that we used to cherish is not a place that we wish to come back to anymore. Such a shame when it was a staple for our date nights.!
Went to Kaze to have a nice family dinner. The food was mediocre, but it was more of the music that was playing in the restaurant that was disturbing. Mind you there were a lot of kids at that time and the the music was not very family friendly. The music playing was full of cus words and other words that a 3 year old should not be hearing. For a restaurant that caters to families with young kids, they should be mindful of how they set the atmosphere of their restaurant.

It's was clean greasy floors..staff was nice 🤷🏽
When you first walk it has a weird smell not a pleasant one either, went to the restroom after eating and that was worse smell so bad I wanted to puke. Food was mid, won’t be returning
This might come as a big shock to everyone as we visited on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, our night became spoiled due to a MICE falling from the ceiling onto a couple's table next to our booth.... then bounced and ran away to hide under their booth! I was truly disgusted....as a staff member shared that they apologized, but that this mice was only one of many.... but not to be upset with them....as they were only employees. There were 8 of us who witnessed it. Yes, my fiance paid for our dinner.... and we left. I was told the restaurant would be closed for "several days" until they took care of this matter. I was also told that several other citations were given, but those "details" could not be shared. We've noticed that prices have gotten out of hand as well. I'm OK with that as food prices have skyrocketed everywhere. Management, you're welcome to reply to my post. You need to be honest. It can happen to anyone. You owe an explanation to your faithful Mesquite customers!
If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered dinner party of 4, 1 person was done eating, another persons never even came out. I spoke to the manager and he looked at me and said "what do you want me to do?" Wow?! I said well start by apologizing and then make it right. Like what the heck. Let's not even get started on how it smells when you comes in. And people wonder why people dont frequent places in Mesquite.
Went for lunch and got spoiled crab in my sushi. They also use crab salad for their sushi instead of regular/imitation crab. Not sure how their crab spoils before lunch but definitely be wary of eating here. I would not eat here again or recommend anyone else to. Way too expensive for spoiled food.
Extremely disappointed. Four of us Out for daughter's birthday dinner. They offered a change for her meal because the Lobster Dynamite was off the menu because the Lobster was not delivered. The substitute arrived before 3 of the 4 appetizers shortly after they were served two if the other main were served then 10min later the 4th appetizer arrived after. I flagged down a different waitress to check on the fourth main dish for my son, this waitress offered to have the manager see me. After getting the check and I waited after my family left to speak with the Manger. Started out telling her that we will never be back here adding that we had been there seven times each year over the past 15 to 25 years, for special occasions.
Couldn't make a reservation 4 hours prior for a party of 12 and it was the most painful experience with making a hibachi order experience. 2 hours later the staff were still confused on the order. They make it difficult to enjoy a meal with family. Don't go here! The manager was so unprofessional using her pen to point at us. There are better hibachi restaurants in plano! Ill make the drive to other places next time.
We had a terrible experience. The server took our order multiple times and even the manager was confused on how to enter our order so it could satisfy a hibachi style experience. We wanted an enjoyable experience to celebrate a birthday and it was not. Will not come back and def do not recommend.
This place used to be pretty good. The last couple of times including this one it was not worth what we paid for the food. The person cooking the food barely put any seasoning on the meat, rice or vegetables. For 2 hibachi meals, and a sushi roll it was 91 dollars. Also I was not happy that they included a 15% tip when it was just 2 of us. Will not be dining here ever again.
I look forward to the day that a new habachi competitor comes to Mesquite. This suburban city is too large and too diverse in culture AND business to have this many below average experiences. A new habachi restaurant will either force them to step up their game or step out of the game.
Either this place is under new management or it is going out of business. It is dirty, the chairs have holes in them and the food is awful. We ended up throwing it away. It might do them well to serve food without plastic knives, forks and spoons.
Here's what I would recommend... researching and visiting another habachi and sushi restaurant. Two quick alternatives: King Noodle and Sushi (Tripp and Galloway between the Retro fitness and Mardels), also Habachi Miyato (Barnes Bridge in a small gas station). --------- Summary Food tasted old. Service was poor. Building unkempt. Prices too high.
Ever since they switched ownership this restaurant has gone bad!! It’s sad really. The food , the service & the upkeep on the whole restaurant. I surprised the haven’t received a health violation. I use to love coming here 15 years ago but now I will not be bringing my family back because of this.
Horrible service!!! Waitress had bad attitude , 20min waiting they never came to get our drink or food order ! It was empty and now we know why! The tables were sticky and nasty the Health department needs to come get them in check ASAP!
I don't normally do reviews but this is a must. Horrible experience! Wanted to sit at the grill but was told 1 1/2 hr wait. (Understandable) We were told if we sat at a regular table it would be faster. Still waited for our food for over an hour. Food came and was cold. One meal was wrong and had to be sent back. Had to wait forever for drink refills. I do not recommend this place.
As another has already commented, I will be so happy and relieved when a new hibachi spot opens in Mesquite. I ordered from here last night and besides the fact that I spent $72 on two dinner meals is insane!!! It literally makes no sense to order to go because the amount of food that you get is literally cut in half. I ordered a steak dinner for myself and a shrimp for my husband. First, the meals were extremely tiny. Literally enough for a kids meal, but it’s supposed to be a full dinner entrée. Second they wanted to charge me for extra yum yum sounds because I ordered to go but if I eat there there’s no extra charges for sauce so make that make sense. Third, My steak was overcooked. I ordered a medium rare and got damn near a well done steak. A literal waste of money!! On top of that, the rice was hard. When I called the next morning to rectify the situation, the manager first asked why I didn’t call last night? (It was NYE and I picked it up right before they closed.) He made it seem like I was trying to get away with a free meal or something. Then asked if I still had the food, and to bring it in, and then they would re-cook it. I have never in my life been asked to return food from the night before. I’m so disappointed in the service, the way management chose to handle my dissatisfaction. I used to come here all the time with my family but I will GLADLY drive a distance to go to a different restaurant. They will NEVER get my hard earned money again and I suggest you go somewhere else if you’re lookin for good food and good service. Word of advice for this place: GET A NEW MANAGER!!!
Tried to have a New Year Eve Dinner with my Wife, Daughter, and Grand Daughter. We had ordered the Hibachi Dinner for my Wife & Daughter (shared) and for myself. And my Grand Daughter did not ordered anything to eat. The cook finally came out with everyone’s order prior to him prepping everyone’s food. He did a juggling show with the spatula. While spinning the spatula, the spatula flew out of his hand and knocked my wife’s Pepsi drink over, spilled on her lap and her brand new shoes ($160 OnCloud) as well all over the floor where her and I was sitting at. There was no apology from the cook himself. No one came by to clean up the spill mess on the floor, where my wife and I were sitting at once the Pepsi started to dry up, the floor got sticky. In addition, my granddaughter had strawberry lemonade while drinking it something came across her lip and noticed it was a gnat in her drink. At this point my wife got up to ask to speak to a manager. We had to wait approximately 20 minutes before the manager came out while waiting. My wife asked the female that she spoke with. Where is the manager she stated that he was not in his office that she had a call him, and he was on his way. To me that means that the manager was not on property. He was probably on his way home for the evening or stepped away and had to come back to the restaurant. When the manager finally showed up, my wife stated“what are you gonna do for me to make me happy? “ the manager said what do you want me to do? I had to step away because I didn’t want to cause a big scene in the restaurant plus in front of my granddaughter when the Manager) has made that comment. Clearly, what do you mean? What do you want me to do? As a manager, I would apologize first of all to your customer and then state that what I can do for you to please the customer. In addition, not only when he made that comment he literally stated oh I have to get with the cook to hear his side of the story. Which the evidence is there where no one cleaned up the Pepsi the Pepsi spill was literally on the floor, where my wife was sitting in there, and you could visually see it from the bar where the manager was talking to us. And the only thing that the manager did was comp my wife’s meal I had to still pay for my meal, even though my wife went ahead and took her meal home because she was so upset to where she could not eat there. The manager was so unprofessional. I’m surprised he’s actually a manager of that restaurant. Fair warning never to go there you may have to check your drinks. Make sure there’s no gnats in it. We’ll probably reach out to the health inspector and have that restaurant inspected, especially with the battery views that I’ve been reading in reference to this restaurant from other customers in the past. I’m surprised no one had called the health inspector and have this place shut down. As myself and my family have left the restaurant the Manager) literally was standing there staring at us not a single word out of him. Didn’t apologize to us, nor didn’t even bring us our bill stating an apology or anything. What a way to end the year definitely going forward starting next year never again will be returning to this restaurant. Fair warning to all of you don’t go to this restaurant unless you’re willing to see rats, crawling, and running across the floor having gnats in your drinks, or having a spatula flying across knocking over your drinks or maybe hitting you in the face. If it was possible, I would not get this restaurant any stars whatsoever I give it a -5 star stars!!!!! Also forgot to add it’s absolutely false advertising. They have a sign stating that if you have a party of five or more, it’s automatically added to your bill of 15% gratuity. Which is BULLSHIT! Because it was myself, my wife ,and my daughter that was eating so actuality it was a party of three. I should have the capability of leaving a tip or NOT! Which I would definitely NOT !!!! New Year’s resolution is : “NEVER COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!” Any “HEALTH INSPECTORS” IN MESQUITE,SHUT THIS PLACE!
I made a reservation for 10 on November 7th for my husband’s birthday. We ordered our food and drinks and while we were sitting talking a rat ran across the floor. I got up and let the waiter know and that we were leaving. We asked for the manager who never came. We paid for our drinks and left. We have enjoyed this restaurant many times before, I will not be going again.
MY experience on the very first visit. The exterior of the restaurant was littered with cigarette butts and smelled like sewage. The building itself looked worn down as I got closer. A paint touch up would go a long way to keep up with the neighboring businesses. The interior was very tight in capacity, staff seemed unenthusiastic...like no one really smiled which translated into the food and service. Somewhat disorganized and disconnected. The food was not memorable. The rice was heavily peppered, greasy and slightly under done. Sushi was the worst I've tasted. More warm in temperature than I'd like so I ended up tossing the rest in the trash. I see that there are others who had a better experience but I doubt I'd he returning or recommending.
