Friendly staff at this restaurant! First of all the manager on shift Raquel was so kind to use making sure my order was correct and helping us place it and giving us tips on how to order it next time. The sandwich was made so good best sandwich I’ve had in my experience at Panera. The same employee would walk around the lobby making sure it was clean and she also interacted with guest in english and Spanish making sure everything was all right. She definitely made the atmosphere feel like home.

Dining in now! Fairly busy but didn't wait to order or very long for the food! My daughter and I had sandwiches and salad with drinks and spent less than $14! Went in early, at like 7 AM on memorial day, very good service. Robert at the front counter was very helpful and patient with our prayer group order. If you’re in Mesquite , you should stop by and give em’ a shot. The steel cut oatmeal with strawberries on top was good. The bagels are my favs. The group mostly had bacon and egg croissants, but Pastor had the spinach and cheese quiche. It was all good.😊

Convenient location for quick meetings. My family and I have enjoyed the soups, salads and sandwiches. My kids love the cookies. The sourdough bread comes highly recommended. Just don't get the French onion soup. Try everything else =)

TLDR: The Cheese steak Sandwich was delicious and the Mac & Cheese even more so. The place is kept clean and good service. Long version: I have only been to Panera a handful of times to the point I had NO idea if I had to clean after myself or not haha. (Saw someone after a while just leave and a employee came to clean up) So I didn't feel bad by doing so myself after. The cheese steak sandwich is amazing. It being a hot sandwich, it was nice and toasted and melts! Oh boy, the Mac & cheese with the apple wood smoked bacon was delicious. Definitely enjoyed my late lunch here and will be my preferred location when I'm in the mesquite area.

Service was great young lady greeted us and was patient with us being indecisive. Our food was freshly warm and delicious. We ordered Smoked Buffalo Chicken Melt baguette, Black Forrest Ham Gouda Melt baguette, messy kitchen cookie and a chocolate croissant. Everything was delicious even the lemonade. This restaurant was all very clean. Thank you to the great staff, we truly appreciate y’all. Clean and tasty restaurant’s are a rare find now days.

We are always looking for good and healthy places to eat. It had been a minute since we had visited this location. I didn't remember their food being so good. We tried the you pick two combos. Great choice. We had toasted steak and white cheddar and chipotle chicken avocado melt. Both great choices. I had the Greek salad and my wife had the Fuji apple salad with chicken. I guess I was really hungry because left me wishing I had got a full sandwich and not the half. As usual my wife was happy with her half. This is one place that I can't say truly that I cannot wait to try them again. We join that email Club looking forward to trying some of them great looking Bagels.

Even though I have lived up the hill for years this was my first trip to this restaurant after hearing several people raving about the food. They were right on. The room was quite elegant with the early 1900's art deco style. The ambiance was lovely. The wait staff was wonderful and very attentive. I have traveled extensively and this food is definitely in the 'Wow" factor category which I don't find too often.I had the duck and my friends had the skirt steak and scallops. The side portions were so large they could serve two people. I felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. This won't be my last visit to this restaurant.

The food was good but I gave it 4 instead of 5 because I went with a friend ordered a sweet tea and they didn't have any, after looking around I notices the drinks are self serve and not always kept full. Also if your a coke fan (not that I can really say I am) better stop by a gas station on the way if you need it that bad, other than that the food was really good they had it ready very fast and It seemed to be pretty freshly made

There was a mishap yesterday 5/20/2024 when I placed an order for 3 oatmeal raisin with berries cookies. I received 3 cups of oatmeal with strawberry and pecans. The oatmeal tasted good but I wanted the cookies . Today 5/11/2024 I ordered 3 oatmeal raisin with berries cookies again . Today , I am happy 😊 I received my 3 cookies in a box. I usually receive the cookies from another location they are individually packed in envelopes ✉️. Great comeback guys

Yup! EAT HERE! ONLY DECENT AND HEALTHY FOOD IN MESQUITE! If I were on the city council, and someone asked me to give them a "taste of the city" tour, then it would ironically be here, at Panera Bread! It's one of the few decent places at eat at from a clean eating perspective. Mesquite is littered with fast food joints, hamburger shops, pizza, and anything where a meal is over 3,000 calories per setting. Sure, you could gorge here too. But you are least have "options" on getting some high quality food at a decent price. Clean location as well. Give them a visit!

Only one person taking orders. Place just not clean. Could not get lid and straw for drink. Line for pick up inside was no way 6 feet apart while waiting. Again just not what it was.

Portions are small for the price, but that's set by corporate so not much you can do about that. The food is fresh, though there's always something wrong with larger group orders. But, the employees are nice, and try to correct the situation. I just wish they paid more attention in the first place.

Love their iced teas and lemonade! But dang it was hot in there 😓 And no one at the counter for at least 5 min Then someone showed up, was less than thrilled to be there

Biggest Panera i’ve ever been to. Love the high ceilings, multple seating areas & big windows. But did NOT like the lackluster service. Employees seemed nice but lacking in welcome. Worse was the various empty beverage containers—iced coffee, hot water, syrup, coffee. It wasn’t even a busy time with only 3 other customers inside. Butter squares were already melty instead of cold.

They were out of everything!! Juices were on the tables in buckets. That was bad. The carpets looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. Instead of bread to go with our soup they gave us some nasty kettle chips. For almost $50 for 2 people and still left hungry. This place is overpriced disappointment and sadness. Will never go back.

I'm not sure what has happened to this location. A couple of months ago I was very happy with this Mesquite location my curbside orders would always out in a timely matter with no issues. Now all that has changed. My last two visits have been awful . Now my curbside orders don't come out in a timely manner. Today I ordered ice coffee and the employee brought hot coffee out to me in a plastic ice coffee cup. When I questioned her about it she said it was hot because it was just brewed. She did take back I waited and she brought the correct drink. My concern is this mistake should not have happened in the first place. Very disappointing.

Service is absolutely poor. If you dine-in it takes forever. I don’t know if it’s because of short-staff but it took a whole 30 minutes to get my and my friends food out for our lunch break. It used to be such a great experience before, and now I would not recommend coming for dine-in here.

The only thing I could possibly add is please add the appropriate ingredients as stated on the menu. Toasted garden caprese sandwich didn’t have arugula and instead added iceberg lettuce. Worst experience EVER choosing Panera Bread today instead of fast food for lunch. I figured I would spend the extra money to eat healthier. I got it To Go, ordering a “Pick 2” - a 1/2 Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT sandwich and a cup of the Vegetarian Autumn Squash soup. I took the time to download the app, registered and filled out all the info, etc. The soup was okay, but a bit too super sweet. The sandwich was HORRIBLE. It was ice cold including the bacon (who wants a COLD BLT??). The bread was dry with no dressing whatsoever, and some of the lettuce was slimy. I took it apart and picked out a few edible bites. For using the app for the first time my reward ordered was a brownie, which they forgot to put in my bag until I asked for it. Now I have an app on my phone just taking up space, because I probably won’t go back there for a while, and I used to love Panera Bread. Sadness!

The food and drinks look and taste as they should. Purchasing the product was educational and polite. How ever picking up the food when the buzzer buzzes, the servers back there were not helpful and made me feel the purchase of 42. Dollars was not worth the price. The tea girl was happy and helpful, but behind the counter I had to work on getting their attention the girl did not know what to go box sizes she had and was rude when I asked for a tray for 4 plates then told me I needed to do her chore of maintaining the surface after I consolidated a plate so I could bring it back to my table. The food was great however the service made this trip an ONLY. P.S. The manager was very polite and helpful

First time at Panera. I was expecting a very tasty pizza and warm bread. I took a bite of a slice of pizza and it honestly tasted like a frozen pizza. Pepperoni taste better at any other place including Cicis pizza. I added extra mozzarella to my pepperoni pizza but that did not add in the cheese pull I was expecting. The brocolli soup was good but the bread was very hard and cold.

Zero response and a snobby look. 👎 Then, when we asked a question, she was just very rude about it, like how we don't know already. 👎 The price for 2 sandwich meals was $32. 👎 The wait was almost too long for having only one other customer in the place. 👎 The papaya lemonade and agave green tea mixed was really good. 👍 When the food finally came, it was good as well. 👍 Overall. We just ordered our food. My cup was handed to me with sticky stuff on it. I asked very nicely for a different cup because this one was dirty. The young lady behind the counter was super nice and gave me another cup, then proceeded to put the dirty cup back on top of the clean cups for the next guest. Absolutely disgusting!!! I gave this Panera Bread Location its last chance today. A few months ago, I went and ordered the Spicy Take Chicken Sandwich. I live about 10 min from this location and went straight home. When I opened it, it was cold, no seasoning (no spice at all) and one lousy piece of pickle. Refused to give me my DoorDash order through the window after I waited in line??? Asked 3 times and they said there’s no way to give me my order, although it’s ready, I will have to come inside to get it. It was just sitting on the counter and employees were hanging out talking. Unacceptable.

Let me begin by saying I'm hangry. I order from here often. I manage a retail establishment and we do not leave for lunch. Delivery or bring from home, are our often. Today an employee and I ordered lunch at 11:30am. When we slowed down and realized what time it was, it was 1:30pm. Still no food. I called to follow up. I was informed after a lengthy hold that my order was no longer in their lobby. I suppose this location uses a 3rd party delivery system and they had no information for me, other than it just isn't there. I canceled my order and was told to expect my account to be credited in a day or so. Typically, I'm a calm and understanding person, being that I too work in the service industry. That said, because I have spent decades working in S.I., I expect a level of customer service, that I simply did not receive today. My employee and I waited over 2 hours, for our lunch which never arrived and I didn't even receive an apology. Bad form Panera Mesquite. Bad form.

Literally the slowest drive-thru ever. I ordered 2 items and sat in line for over 25 minutes. It's getting worse! You should probably pay people more to get more staffing.

Usually don't have problems, but the past couple times I have had issues. I ordered today over $70 worth of food for my office, and half of it was missing. The manager resent the missing food out, but it took 5 minutes shy of an hour to get here. And usually they would comp something or give us a free pastry or something to make up for the mistake and apologize again, but they didn't do that, which was strange also.

I always order ahead because I'm getting breakfast before work. This specific time the presentation of the food was terrible! I could barely eat it. I ordered a breakfast wrap and when i opened it to eat it literally 5 minutes after picking it up, THE WRAP WAS FALLING APART. There was a huge hole where the food was all packed in! It caused the wrap to rip! I also ordered an orange juice and it was placed inside the bag with the food. That has never happened before. Why would you place a cold item like an orange juice inside a bag with a hot item?

Mesquite has pretty limited options for food. My wife and I love a good soup and sandwich night, though. It’s a common occurrence for this Panera to be out of pretty crucial items. The last couple of times we’ve ordered from this location, they have been out of various soups, turkey, tomato basil bread, cream cheese, etc. They undoubtedly will forget something in the bag. Today, they ran out of baguettes. You read that right. The place literally named “Breadbasket bread” is out of the bread that comes with all soups and sandwiches. A BAKERY RAN OUT OF BREAD. And as I’m typing this, we just found they didn’t include my soup. It wouldn’t even be that big of a deal if I wasn’t charged $32 for two soups, a sandwich, and a grilled cheese. Do yourself a favor and go to Jason’s deli or McAllister’s.

How long would you think it will take to get 3 bagels sliced with no one waiting in line maybe 5 minutes top but nope took 20 minutes and they still got the order wrong once I informed her the order was wrong she came back in 3 minutes with the correct order, this is ridiculous

There portion size is so small that it would not be able to feed a child. I spend $13 for lunch just to be hungry again in 30 mins. What a place for quick lunch. Never again.

Talked to a young lady between 6 and 7:30 on Friday and she said there were no times for serving lunch, well...she was not very knowledgeable because when we went in on Sat morning Aug 5 around 10 a.m. the manager there, a Hispanic lady, told us that they did serve sandwiches but not soup. Disappointed and not trying to be running around in the heat, we waited for a whole hour to eat lunch. We attempted to get coffee, which we did order and pay for but, the hazelnut was out. The young Mexican girl at the counter, said oh it will be 5 minutes. Then an ant crawled on me and bit me on the foot. Still, I was not trying to run around in the heat, so we waited 10 minutes for hazel nut coffee. We noticed how filthy the coffee bar was and they had to refill the half and half and the almond milk. We also noticed the floors needed to be seriously vacuumed. The tables were not being cleaned periodically, and it was a mess! For this restaurant to be charging 9 bucks and up a plate, we spent 44 dollars. I will be back when they are more versatile in their restaurant and more sanitized! 👀🤦🤷. The customer service was wack and obviously no one cares for colored people. All the workers are mostly Hispanic. Get some color in your life! 🤷

I don't know what just happened to this place. Both the mens and womens bathroom were out of soap, the paper towel dispencer doesn't work, the toilets were a mess. Panera needs to do better than this.

I ordered a “Value Duet” Mediterranean Sandwich with Tomato Soup online for Drive Thru Pickup. As I picked up my order, I asked if I could get the chips instead of the bread. The young lady at the drive thru register immediately told me I couldn’t switch out for chips because I ordered a “Value Duet” and that’s why it’s so cheap. I told her that I’ve never had an issue with any other location and that I didn’t want so much bread considering I already had a sandwich. I requested to speak with the Manager and told her the exact same thing, and she gave me the exact same response as the young lady. She proceeded to tell me that no location is supposed to substitute for value duet orders and refused to accommodate me. I’m not sure how I was supposed to eat my soup because I also didn’t receive any silverware either. When I checked my order after pulling out the drive thru, my Mediterranean sandwich barely had any ingredients on it. The customer service at this location is horrible, the staff were extremely unpleasant and rude. Even in the fine line description of my online order it states, “We bake our items fresh daily and will try our best to fulfill your order exactly as you specify.“ However, should an issue occur, we'll do our best to replace, substitute or work with you on arrival to adjust the order to your liking. I called Panera Bread customer service line and was told that I was supposed to be accommodated and could have switch out the bread that was “Stale” by the way for the chips. Customer service reported my incident to this location and I received a reward for the future. I will not be returning to this location with this kind of service and restaurants of this sort should do a better job of accommodating people.

I order from here often. Today I decided to get delivery, which I do often as well. I ordered 3 full sandwiches a soup and 2 large drinks. When my food gets here I noticed that one of my sandwiches is only a half. I called the location of mesquite and tried to explain, right away the lady wanted to say that she’s the one that packaged the order and she’s sure it’s there. She wouldn’t let me speak and explain. She went ahead and blamed the DoorDash driver. It’s hard to believe my DoorDash driver opened up my bag and only took half? When the wrapping was precise how Panera does it. Like I said I order Panera a lot. I know how a half or full sandwich look like in a wrap. She was extremely rude and dismissive. She finally was like well ok I’ll give you a refund on the sandwich and HUNG UP ON ME! Like what she didn’t take my name down order number phone number or anything. I will never order from this location again. I was very understanding and was just calling to let them know I didn’t receive my complete order instead I got a very rude reaction.

Very disappointed yet again. There was a hair in my steak ciabatta and a mystery meat or something like that which was hard to bite on and definitely presented a choking hazard for kids or elderly folks. It could have been very dried out old chicken or something similar. Would definitely not recommend.

Wes the manager is extremely rude. He talks over you when you get the wrong order and makes you wait on the phone before he'll answer it. The last 5 times we have been here our order is wrong, very sloppily put together and today I received burnt bacon. I didn't complain the first 4 times there was an issue but the 5th time in a row had me call in. Supposedly he took our info down and we'll be getting a "free" breakfast to replace the burnt and incorrect meals we purchased today. My husband's wrap had all of the egg bacon balled up on one end so over half of his meal was just wheat tortilla - not very delicious. He ordered the maple bacon wrap but got egg bacon and tomato. As I said before Wes was extremely rude and kept talking over me saying "yeah, yeah, yeah I'm sorry for that" and when he had my number wrong he kept talking over me saying "yes I've got your number" "I've got your number" but I had to correct him and tell him no sir you don't and tell him the correct number. And asked him if was appropriate & good customer service to speak over people, not listen and rush people off the phone. The call was 24 minutes, but Wes and I only spoke for 4. I'm extremely frustrated with his level of customer service and care to his customers and the level of care the chefs take in preparing our food.

When you order the new sandwich and get no meat, order a bread bowl chicken noodle soup, this is what you get….very disappointing. Looks different from the picture

Hi there, I just wanted to share my experience tonight. We pulled up around 10 PM to grab our free Sip Club drinks when an employee came out and rather rudely said, “Did you forget something?” I explained that we just wanted to get our drinks, but she told us the registers were already closed and turned us away. I understand closing procedures, but the attitude we received was disappointing. If this had been Chick-fil-A, I believe we would’ve been treated with more kindness and grace. She even sat there waiting for us to drive off, which made the situation feel unnecessarily tense. I’ve always loved this location and never had any issues before tonight — it’s the closest one to me, and I truly hope this isn’t a reflection of how guests are treated after hours. It just left me feeling unwelcome and unsure if I’ll return.

Worst panera I've ever tried getting food from. The drive through took AGES! Cars were not moving and nothing was making any progress. Had to drive to the McDonald's across the street. What's up with this location???

I paid for extra meat on my sandwich and didn’t get it this is the third time I’ve have problems with this location one time I ordered a chicken bacon avocado sandwich and it had no bacon or avocado just a tiny bit of chicken and a lot of lettuce another time instead of putting chips in my bag they put a random piece of bread in their I tried to call them 3 times to speak with a manager and nobody answered the phone also the lady working the drive through today around 2:30 is always unpleasant I’ll never be back to this location I’ll just have to drive all the way to the Rockwall location next time I want Panera Bread

They ruined my lunch but putting rotten and spoiled fruit in the salad I ordered. Pineapples, strawberries and oranges were rotten and ruined the whole salad that I just had to throw away cuz of musty taste and smell.

I visited this establishment last week and was unfortunately met with a significant lack of professionalism. Upon entering, I noticed the staff member responsible for food preparation, Kieston, was wearing headphones and distracted by his phone while at his station. This lack of focus was reflected in the overall speed and quality of the service. Furthermore, when I attempted to observe how management handled the situation, the manager appeared equally indifferent. The service provided to other customers was dismissive and fell well below the standard one would expect from a professional establishment. It is discouraging to see such a lack of basic customer service standards from both the front-line staff and the leadership on duty. I hope management takes this feedback as a serious training opportunity to improve their operations.

Please add more salad dressing with your salads. Those two half size containers are not enough . I’d like to taste the dressing too. Felt like I was eating grass with toppings and a smidge of dressing

I’ve ordered the Baja bowl from this location before with no issues. On March 6th I received a bowl with a strange piece of paper that was slightly buried in the bowl but slightly sticking out. Upon inspecting the paper it was covered in and had some feta cheese wrapped up inside. I’ve never had it come this way and was concerned about contamination and doubted if it was safe to still consume the Baja bowl so I called the store to inquire if this was normal and the worker that answered got me with a manager who confirmed it was not normal and should not have been in there and offered to send me a coupon since I was out $$ but here it is a month later and nothing was done and I received nothing. Don’t recommend 👎🏾

They didn’t got my order correctly first they forgot my drink then they gave me a cup soup instead of a bowl soup I ask for then I order a tomato basil sandwich blt and there’s no chicken in it terrible

They are just not the same. I ordered the Asian sesame chicken salad. This used to be good. This time was disappointing. The size of the full salad which us over 11 dollars is now half the size. As well it is seriously lacking in actual salad. The box had mostly sliced chicken that tasted along like lunch meat. Like it had a brine or was processed. I remember when this place made the bread in house and everything was very fresh. Sadly it's over and I won't be coming back.

this location has consistantly ranked as "The Worst Panera" we have ever been in, and we travel the entire United States. Management and employees ignore days old dirt and food on the carpet, sticky floors, old and empty Coffee Pots and unstocked needed condiments. They are almost always understaffed, and generally there is not even anyone at the front Counter. I would go as far as to say it is, and has been for years "as if" the interior of the store doesn't exist to Management, and "only" the drive thru is served. We only ever drink coffee here, and NEVER eat here in consideration of the dirty and ignored inside of the store. We're told that PANERA will not allow them to vacume the interior of the store during business hours as a general policy because they don't want to disturb the customers. Do you think the Customers would prefer to eat in filth??? Also, Panera has Managers walk inside and out taking pictures, to send to Corporate I guess... What a Joke, how do they do this and just walk past the dirt and uncleaned tables, and empty Coffee and condiments. I guess they send the pictures they were told to send, ignoring the obvious. We have numerous times in the past complained to the Managers here, and even whom we were told was the District Manager, yet, the dirt and laziness persist at this location. I just can't accept this as any ones fault but Regional UPPER MANAGEMENT, as there are far too many people have complained about this store, and it doesnt get fixed.

Drive through is slower than molasses. Pretty sure person at the speaker forgot they told me to hold. Waited over 5 mins and once I asked if I should pull forward they took my order. Waited over 5 minutes at the window.

Genuinely if I could ratr this zero, I would. The staff was rude and didn't provide any service, just used the kiosks to order. We asked for our cups, and staff just motioned to the drink stand (where there weren't any cups) We ordered a sweet tea, and we were told "over there on the table", and found this. Absolutely unsanitary and disgusting. Won't be returning.

I love going to Panera but ugh not this time, I ordered a salad and a sandwich for lunch and OMG the salad had a HAIR in it, ugh it was so disgusting and disappointing because I was in the middle of a bite when I noticed the hair. Easy to say I did not finish the sandwich or salad because I was just freaked out and honestly disgusted.
