The sushi is delicious, the service is excellent, and the wait time is short.
10/10 fresh sushi experience, the yellowtail sashimi was spectacular and these may have been the best brussel sprouts I’ve had. A hidden gem on Miami Beach.
Cute little spot in Miami Beach!! Excellent food, nice vibes inside. Unique dishes too that you won’t find at every sushi place (photo is truffle tuna bites - amazing!!! And not too much truffle) highly recommend
One of the best sushi restaurants for me. This is the 3rd time I've been to Miami and I've probably eaten there 4 times now. It was a great taste experience every time. I can highly recommend the various special sushis with the sauces on top. I'll be back again and again. An absolute secret tip...
1000% excellent resto. The fish is fresh, the flavors well balanced, many innovative rolls ( although I am always circumspect about the addition of cream cheese to any sushi roll…). The appetizer with salmon sashimi and yuzu juice served on spoons was eye openingly delicious. The tuna on crispy rice was sensational. The service has always been rapid, polite, and professional here. I love the fact that it’s away from the hysteria and noise of Sobe. This wonderful place is most definitely worth a quick Uber ride for a great meal.
As a local, it is VERY hard for me to go to restaurants inside a resort and/or trust the tourist reviews for it. This place is highly rated, but I was skeptical because there’s hardly any restaurants around so you’re kinda stuck with what’s available. However, I was extremely impressed and surprised by the quality of food, presentation and service. My server was incredible, great attention to detail, thoughtful, and the food came out super fast and was well made and fresh— no fishy taste. So.. if you’re hesitating, go! Comparing to any other sushi place, it’s actually quite good (even if it’s in a mall type resort)
Isaac is AWESOME! so friendly and nice ambience. The restaurant is inside the hotel. Once you are in, the door at your right. Food was the best I’ve ever had in my life. And I AM picky. Kudos to the chefs. ♥️
We had an excellent dining experience; shout out to Christian who gave us an outstanding service and he even made an effort to provide the birthday celebrant a surprise birthday mochi ice cream cake. Superb!! The restaurant is located inside The Carriage House Condos
We come three times in four days when we traveled to Miami. We, especially my son really enjoyed the dishes. Geisha and Hoshi Dragon are the best.
My father and I are on vacation in Miami Beach and we decided to walk off the hotel property and see what some dinner options are as we saw this place on the maps. Let me tell you this place was SPECTACULAR. A true hidden gem. It’s located in a fancy residential building but if you go to the hidden door called the “courtyard” (pictured) there is a hidden plaza with different businesses including this place. Sushi was so amazing and very reasonably priced (which is so hard to find w sushi). Staff was very attentive and gladly answered our questions. If we ever come back to Miami Beach this place is a definite visit. ❤️🍱🍣
Delicious food. The chutoro was incredible! Great service by our server Isaac. Not cheap, but for Miami Beach not too bad at all. Weird placement inside some condo building, but they have definitely made an effort to hide it, and the atmosphere was actually quite cozy.
My family and I went today and let me tell you I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍣 the service was excellent and of course the sushi 🍱 was very very good!!! We couldn’t decide what sushi restaurant we wanted to go eat at but after searching im so happy we chose this one!! Oh and before I forget you have to try the dessert 🍨 doughnuts w condensed milk 🤗 you’ll thank me later!😁😋😛😋 OH and I forgot to mention they validate the valet parking🙌🏽 That is a very nice touch!!
Sushi hoshi exceeded my expectations with its exceptional sushi and delightful menu. The freshness of the fish and the perfectly seasoned rice made every bite a culinary delight. The attentive service added to the overall wonderful experience. The restaurant's inviting ambiance and tasteful decor created a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Sushi hoshi to sushi enthusiasts and anyone looking for a memorable Japanese dining experience.
Stumbled upon this place while exploring Miami Beach and so happy we did! Everything was so good, they were friendly, very accommodating and the sushi and truffle fries were delicious! Plus they have soy papers which my wife appreciates!
Best sushi I've found on Miami Beach! The rolls are well made, the fish tasted fresh, and the sushi rice itself is delicious. They don't try to smother the natural taste of the sushi with sauces and don't stuff every roll with cream cheese. This is the mark of a great sushi restaurant! For Miami Beach, the prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly as well! :)
Hoshi&Sushi serves authentic, tasty Japanese dishes with courteous, attentive service from the staff. The restaurant has a relax, casual setting. Valet parking is cheap and easy, which is a huge plus in the area ($3 when authenticated from the restaurant). I and my friend visited the restaurant twice in two weeks. We were very pleased with the quality and value of the food and the service on both occasion. Try their geisha sushi roll – it’s great. The only slight peeve was the automatically included tip of 18% – I would personally give 20% for the good service, but it feels forced when the tip is predetermined. I understand that this is the standard practice in this tourist area, however (probably because so many do not tip).
The food was so good! Everything we had was amazing. Also the Thai donuts were the best donuts I've ever had.
We are from Vegas and visiting Miami for the last few days after our cruise. My wife and I love sushi and are celebrating 19 years!! We hit the Googles “sushi near me” and found this spot. Thank the Googliness we did! Best sushi I’ve had in a long time! We had 6 rolls, some ramen, beers and prosecco. Just short of $200 and I couldn’t be happier with the everything! Yes. Everything. Love it. Come here and see Cristian and eat your face off!
Staff are very accommodating, i love their teriyaki steak and i was super surprised on how good the tempura ice cream was! Will definitely come back when we visit miami again! Oh and you have to go inside the condo/hotel when you enter on the right side there is a huge door thats where the restaurant is!
I LOVE this place. I go every time I’m in the area. The Bulgogi tacos were amazing, the sushi is always fresh, the fried rice is delicious and we ended our meal with Thai donuts and tempura ice cream. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend this place If you like asian food. The takoyaki is as tasty as in Japan and made me glad I chose it. Chris was also very helpful and attentive. Thank you for a nice evening!
This is an awesome eatery. Tucked away and off the beaten path is where you find this fine establishment. The service, the food, the experience is what I think many diners seek on a day/night out. Satisfying from start to finish. Attentive, genuine hospitality with unobtrusive service. I wish I caught the name of our server, but she was a delight. I look forward to returning. I highly recommend visiting. Tuna Bites Shrimp Shumai Geisha Roll Koroko Roll Scarlett Roll Happy Jalapeño Lava Cake Camembert Cheesecake
Consistently fresh and delicious. We order from this restaurant a few times a month, fish is always top notch. Definitely recommend for sushi delivery in north beach area.
The sushi and food were delicious. Isaac, our server, was amazing! He really made the evening memorable - very personal and attentive. Highly recommend!
This is a great place for sushi!!!!!! Love the geisha roll!! Christian is the best server ever!!! He gave my friend a nice surprise bday treat !!! Very sweet!! And all the staff are very nice and accomodating!! Highly recommend this restaurant !!
The sushi here has got to be thee BEST in North Miami Beach. It is so tasty, fresh, neatly packaged, and just so yummy 😋🍣 UPDATE: I moved to Miami and finally got to re-order from this hidden gem!💎 the seafood is incredibly fresh and delectable. Highly recommend!
I don’t usually do reviews but this place was great! I got the spicy edamame, hamachi jalapeño, and hoshi sashimi. The edamame was good but I probably should’ve gotten regular non spicy. The hamachi and sashimi platter were both AMAZING. The flavors were great, the fish was fresh, and presentation was beautiful. I’ve never had wahoo sashimi before so it was great to try something new! The place is kinda hard to find but it’s worth it and it’s very instagrammable
Phenomenal. After a not-so-pleasant experience in my hotel restaurant, I was a bit uneasy after seeing this was yet another "hotel restaurant." I'm so glad my instincts were wrong. The waiter was incredibly kind, and helped me pick out some of the more unique dishes. The crispy tuna was some of the best I've had, especially considering price point. Though, I wish they'd introduce a hot green tea, there were some fun drinks, such as ramune soda. If you're looking for a good starter, I'd also definitely recommend the wonton soup: It was incredibly interesting and so much more than I expected, especially considering its rarity to Japanese cuisine. Overall, the food was phenomenal, with fish quality being up their with restaurants at three times the price. The modern take on Japanese food is excellent, without being too gimmicky. If you're looking for a relatively affordable sushi spot on Miami Beach, this is a must go! My only hope is that they expand, or move locations to somewhere with a better outdoor view. Regardless, all of it was phenomenal. I went in skeptical with a friend who'd never tried real sushi, and we both came out in love with the place. Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent ambience.
The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best sushi places. I was amazed by the quality of the service in this restaurant. Everything was brought in a timely manner, never had an empty glass of drinks.
Delicious tasty sushi rolls inside a hotel. Great food, service, very Miami Beach style.
HOSHI is the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been. It had good atmosphere and the server were very kind and good. They recommended me the ‘Crispy tuna special app’ and I was surprised! The rice was very crunch and the tuna which was seasoned with soy sauce was really in good harmony with that crunch rice. I strongly recommend the ‘Crispy tuna special app’. I ate the ‘Salmon carpaccio’ and the ‘Hoshi dragon’. These food were also delicious. The ‘Salmon carpaccio’ was seasoned with soy sauce and decorated with the flying fish roe. The salmon really goes well with the flying fish roe! I recommend you to have this for appetizer. And ‘Hoshi dragon’ was roll with the deep fired shrimp. The sauce was very tasty and maximized the rice’s sweetish taste. I had really great time here and I want to visit again.
Delicious hidden hole in the wall place that is a little bit difficult to find- you have to walk through carriage condominium building to find it. I got here at a good time and got immediate seating but it started filling up quickly as we were finishing. Christian was our server and he did a fantastic job! He remembered what i ordered right off the top of his head and did a great job recommending dishes based on my preference. I ordered the rock and roll, fantasy roll, Latino, happy jalapeño, lobster paster, some sashimi, and mochi. All plates were cleared and delicious. Thank you for the fantastic service, I’ll be back next time I’m in Miami.
Great sushi and prices. I went for happy hour
Hoshi Sushi is really fresh and delicious 😋. My friends and I are staying at a hotel maybe 1 or 2 blocks away and I was pleasantly surprised at the happy jalapeño roll. It was covered with fresh cilantro, yellowtail, and of course super thinly sliced jalapeño. It came quickly and was so tasty I decided to stop back the next night for another roll. All in all, a really tasty and fresh sushi spot
Hidden Gem. This place has the best service. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is quiet and chill. Our waitress Stephany was very attentive. 10/10 would recommend
Hoshi & Sushi was amazing! Our waiter was so friendly and the food was delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere and great service. Would highly recommend anyone along Miami Beach stop by!
This place is a hidden gem! The food was super delicious and the atmosphere was very funky and cute! Christian was our waiter and he was so wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
In town for a cruise and wanted sushi. Our server, Dany, was very attentive and the food was very good. If your in town, stop by for good sushi!
Great sushi place! It’s a little hidden but if you ask the front desk super easy to get to and the food was reasonably priced.
The food is fenomenal but Cristian is special he’s the best server ever so sweet and patient and he helped us cook our raw meat he’s the best
This small hotel restaurant was great for dinner. I called ahead to reserve a table for my party of 7 people and they set up a table for us so we were seated immediately upon arrival. The waitress was great and helpful. The sushi was delicious too! The only thing this place lacks is a view of any kind (there are no windows) but the food made up for it. I recommend this place for dinner and it is kid friendly.
We were staying at a nearby condo/hotel and this was one of the recommended restaurants nearby. We were seated promptly and given a lot of attention. We ordered the garden salads (awesome ginger dressing), edamame and yakisoba. All of which were amazing! Quiet atmosphere and good service. Highly recommend!
Came here on a bachelorette trip to Miami. Best! Decision! Ever! The food was great. I’m not big on sushi but my friends thought it was phenomenallll. To top it off we had a great server, Cristian! He made the experience 10 times better. Would come here again and would definitely recommend!!
My friend and I traveled from PHL to Miami and were totally starved before we could check into our hotel. We wandered into Hoshi and had an unexpectedly amazing meal for affordable prices. The tuna sashimi was great and fresh and the gyoza was to die for. The interior is cute and elegant too. We liked it so much we came back on our last day today. Our server stephany was great too.
Came for lunch and the hole in the wall restaurant seems odd upon first impression but the vibes are absolutely there!! The food was delicious. The tuna was fresh and the sushi rolls are unique and large. Cristian was such a kind server and made our experience one to remember. We will be coming back without question when we come back in town.
A hidden gem. Outstanding food at a good price and excellent service that’s fun and friendly. Danny our server was exceptional. Enjoyed the atmosphere too.
I enjoyed my teriyaki chicken. But my wife's fred rice was a little salty. The service was outstanding. But the space was a bit awkward.
Food was very good, great quality sushi and some very delicious combinations. The restaurant is small and inside a hotel courtyard area. A little hard to find and it just felt awkward being so close to the other tables. I feel our server could have been a little more attentive on refills and whatnot considering the space. Good food overall but fell short of expectations and reviews.
Based on the Google reviews and ratings, I was expecting a lot more than what we experienced. We initially ordered the Ceviche (with the Grouper) and the Latino sushi roll. The latter was unique and tasty and probably should have just stuck with ordering rolls as the ones that we saw come out all looked great. The ceviche has good flavor BUT ... the grouper pieces were cut in large chunks, the dish wasn't balanced as oddly there was just too much fish. We ran out of the sweet potato, cilantro, and chips way before we even got through half of the fish. Sadly with just the fish remaining it became unappetizing for the sheer volume of it and actually the look of it. We then ordered the Chicken Yakisoba. It was heavy on the vegetables compared to the noodles. And we felt the chicken was a bit overcooked as it was dry. The location of the restaurant is in what seems to be in a condo building. You get buzzed in, then you stop at the security desk, which they then direct you to walk through the "Courtyard". But it's actually walking through a nice wooden door to a concrete walled area that includes a mini market, and another store. The restaurant is oddly divided into what seemed like 4 areas. 1. The bar area (but it's the first area you reach as there's a ramp that you see first) but there's no actual bar to sit at, just some tables. They made an effort to make it cozy and cover up the concrete walls 2. the sushi bar area which looked like it could actually have been the restaurant? 3. there was a random set of doors that looked like there were tables in there too 4. then there were a few tables outside of the ramp that seemed to be outside of any of the areas and were just in the walking path (I would not want to be seated here) Then we get to the bathroom: I would give them a 1 star on this if I could. When they built it out, it seems they made an effort to give it a nicer feel to it but the upkeep is something to be desired. For example the stalls weren't the old-school metal walls and the sinks were a more modern shape; however, things were getting a bit dingy - one of two stalls was broken, the sink had weird stains/caulking, paint was chipping & peeling. Also there was not a changing station available.
I will say that it’s kinda cute in there, it’s a room off the the side of a hotel/apartment complex. The food is disgusting, like it had been sitting out all day. The first bite I took was a piece of nigiri and the fish was literally hard.. like crunchy on the ends, I almost threw up. The avocado on the rainbow roll was old and very squishy, also like it had been sitting out all day. The tuna had a rainbow lighting on it which just points out that it’s old tuna. My server was anything but attentive, she was more busy talking to the other employees in the side room so the wait for her to come back was pretty long. I got the soup with the dumplings in it, it tasted like cleaning products. Don’t even get me started on the dumplings that were in the soup.. They have little white containers sitting on the table with lids on them with the soy sauce in there just waiting to be used, it’s not in a safe container so it smelt rotten, also I don’t think they clean them inbetween seats, just refill them so people could be doing god knows what with it, sticking their fingers in there. I asked for fresh soy sauce and they brought me a pretty much already empty bottle of generic soy sauce. It was just repulsive. I left sick to my stomach.
