Loved this place. The sweet potato waffle fries might be the best fries I've ever had and the monte Cristo? Man it wasn't cheap deli style chicken and ham but actual grilled chicken breast and quality ham. Place was great and had that perfect diner feel
We recently had dinner at 11th Street Diner and absolutely loved it! Truly an authentic diner! The ambiance is full of character — it truly feels like stepping straight back into the 1960s. Such a fun, retro vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and engaging, which made the whole experience even better. And the food? Outstanding. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and unlike any we’ve had before, and the burgers and salads were generous and delicious. Great food, great energy, and such a cool atmosphere — definitely a must-visit!
Best breakfast of your trip! Loved the retro diner vibes, the coffee top ups, the fresh juice, all perfect 👌 but James made the day, walked us through the menu, chatted about our trip, checked in regularly, just perfect service! Food was awesome too, really portions and lots of flavour. We're from the UK, but if we find ourselves in Miami again we'll 100% be back to 11th Street Diner!
We recently had dinner at the 11th Street Diner, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance is truly special and full of character — stepping inside feels like being transported straight back to the 1960s. The place could easily serve as a set for a retro TV show. The young staff were incredibly friendly and engaging, which made for a fun and relaxed evening. We had great conversations and plenty of laughs with our servers. And the food — simply outstanding! The onion rings were unlike any we’ve ever had before: perfectly crispy and unbelievably delicious. The burgers and salads we ordered were first-class as well, both in flavor and portion size. All in all, we’d recommend the 11th Street Diner to anyone without hesitation. A must-visit for great food, great vibes, and a genuine retro experience.
At 3:30pm on a Sunday afternoon in December 4 picky eaters decided to grab a very late lunch at the 11th street diner after a shopping day ending up on Lincoln Road. 4 of us ate: Chicken Parmesan + Mac n cheese + fries Teriyaki salmon + mixed veg + sweet potato fries Southern fried chicken burgers with a side of fries x 2 Table water No other drinks, add ins $100 including service and taxes Service was fast, friendly and helpful I loved the retro decor Comfy booth seating Quirky place mats with a map of Florida which was distracting us from looking at the menu. Menu is huge! So look for the highlighted items as those are popular I would come here again as the service was friendly, fast and the food was good It’s VERY popular at breakfast time with a queue out here door.
We walked past a million times so decided to stop on our last day and the food was incredible (specifically the sides) but the waiter seemed rushed even though it wasn't full. He was great but I was anxious for him lol We ordered the rodeo and southern heat burgers plus Mac n cheese and coleslaw sides - Bloody Mary and sex on the beach were mid. Wouldn't order the drinks again but food was with it!
Me and my wife were in this authentic diner of the old days. Arrived at the diner you immediately feel the feeling of staying here comfortably. The staff is very friendly, very attentive, the menu is large so everyone will find something to eat. Me and my wife didn't want to leave the diner anymore. If you are in south beach, be sure to visit.
A lot to say about this spot. I’ve seen it around since I was a kid and finally came in for breakfast. WOW, the food was fresh, delicious and a cut above typical diner food. Service was very fast and friendly. Front of the diner is geared more towards parties of two, with a larger table section in the back. I can’t say enough about THE FOOD! Great portions and so delicious. Hats off to the Chef back there. Wish i grabbed my servers name, he was very attentive. I will definitely make it back in here whenever i’m in the area. Thank you!
Cute little diner. Nice selection of menu items for breakfast and lunch. The service was fantastic too. Inside dining, sidewalk and patio dining too.
We ate here twice during our trip and loved it both times! The food was absolutely delicious, with portions that were banging and definitely worth it. The whole place has that classic diner vibe with a really nice patio if you want to sit outside and enjoy the Miami weather. Staff was friendly and welcoming, only downside is that it is a bit in the pricy side. But that counts for pretty much everything in Miami. Highly recommend if you’re in Miami Beach and craving great diner food with a cool atmosphere.
As someone who's been raised in New Jersey, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a charming diner located on Washington Avenue in South Beach. With New Jersey being known as the diner capital of the world, my expectations were quite high, and I’m thrilled to say that this place exceeded them. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere enveloped me in a warm, nostalgic vibe reminiscent of classic diners back home. The decor and layout brought back fond memories of bustling breakfast crowds and cheerful waitstaff. The menu offered a mouthwatering array of breakfast options, and I couldn’t help but indulge in some of my favorites. The food was everything I had hoped for, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It truly felt like home, and I would confidently label it as one of the best dining experiences I've had. Moreover, I must commend the service, which was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure that my dining experience was nothing short of excellent. However, it's worth mentioning that the diner does not accept MasterCard, which caught me off guard, but that minor inconvenience did not overshadow the overall enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this diner to anyone looking for a great spot to grab breakfast at any time of day; you won’t be disappointed!
Stopped in here with my wife and kids on a warm afternoon, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The moment we sat down, the staff offered us ice water right away — not just for us, but also for the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch. I ordered a burger and honestly, it was fantastic — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My wife had one too and she kept saying how much she enjoyed hers. Simple, but exactly what you want from a great burger spot. What really stood out though was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. That combination of great food and top-notch hospitality makes all the difference.
The quintessential diner experience. The staff has been there for years and work like a well oiled machine. A huge menu with anything you could want. Nothing fancy here, just good food and great service. Locals and tourists alike, flock to The 11th Street Diner in the heart of South Beach.
We’ve been at south beach for around 10 days, gone to countless restaurants here and in downtown Miami, but none beat this diner. The best food I’ve had by far. The French toast was amazing, the coffee was delicious and we just keep going back for more. This is a must if staying near here. The great service was just a cherry on top to this amazing diner.
It was so much fun to eat in this typical American movie style diner! The décor is unique. Our Burgers were as generous as delicious, Thank you guys for using excellent black angus beef and tasty cheese ! Truth be told, I was so excited to bite in that I forgot to add the sauce, yet it was super flavorsome! That is to say...!
Perfect place if an American Diner is in your list of eateries to go and otherwise as well! Very friendly servers and super delicious sandwiches. Couldn't try the milkshakes cause the sandwiches were very filling but they looked tempting. Good ambience with a trailer type decoration. Prime location. Must visit!
A very nice surprise. Stopped for a quick brunch, and while the food wasn't the best we've had in town - it was delicious. A lot of options on the menu - all fairly priced. This is a perfect place for casual dining. Had a special omelette and Body Builder - an egg white omelette with fillings.
If you're looking for a classic American vibe with a retro touch and great food, 11th Street Diner is the place to go. We were in two and ordered fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and 3 Amigo buritto. The chicken? Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, perfectly seasoned – absolutely top-notch. The fries? Slightly sweet, well-cooked, and a perfect match for the sandwich. Then came the 3 Amigo Burrito… and let me tell you – it’s a serious portion! The service? Super friendly and fast. The vibe? Straight out of a movie, an old-school diner with real character. The prices? Pretty reasonable, especially for Miami Beach, considering the generous portions. All in all – if you’re in Miami Beach and craving solid American comfort food in a cool setting, head to 11th Street Diner. You won’t be disappointed!
My friend had the Crab Florentine Benedict with Ice Coffee and I had the Special, the T.B.M. Omelette, a mozzarella cheese omelette with diced tomatoes and fresh basil, with home fries. The food was very tasty and the service was good. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast or for brunch.
Authentic diner experience, the service was simply great. The food was great, it was tasty and the portions where large. Coffee was good and you get free refills. Alright planning to go there again for some other food. PS: looking for a dinner, this is the place in Miami Beach
This is our first visit to the 11th Street Diner in the 15 years we’ve been coming to South Beach. Not sure how we haven’t discovered this sooner, but glad we did. If you are looking for a place with many breakfast options, this is it. We ordered fresh mango and an omelet plate. Both were fresh and tasty.
I ate at a few restaurants in Miami Beach, and when I stumbled upon this one, wow, incredible! I ate there four times in two days, each time a different meal, and all four were more than delicious. The staff was amazing. If I lived in Miami, I would eat there every day.
We visited the 11th Street Diner in Miami Beach multiple times during our stay, and it quickly became our favorite spot! The atmosphere is amazing, with a great vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always providing excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious and, most importantly, filling! Whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything we tried was top-notch. We highly recommend this diner to anyone visiting Miami Beach – you won’t be disappointed!
Definitely this place. It's definitely a bring backs the cozy dinner wibe. Service was great. Food is delicious. Dinner special was salmon and was cooked to perfection like any 5 start restaurant. Definitely would go back to try more items
If you are looking for the american retro vibe you know from the movies, just stop searching and take a seat. A huge add on is on south beach many many restaurant has the strategy to push you out after you ate your meal as fast as its possible. We had some unpleasant experiences in more expensive popular restaurants. But here you can have a great slow breakfast without this stress!
Fantastic restaurant that replicates a classic diner experience. I always wanted to try this especially since we live in London. The menu is quite extensive and they are open till late. At first glance it doesn’t look like they have a lot of seating options but they have an indoor and outdoor area. Our servers were very friendly and gave us good recommendations for our brunch and the food came out very quick. Please see shared pictures for details. Service charge is “suggested” on the bill but it starts at 18%. One thing to note they did not accept MasterCard cards at this diner which was unfortunate as all of our international cards were mastercards but luckily we had cash, our server mentioned this before we ordered anything. I would highly recommend the milkshakes here, they are really delicious, next time we will most certainly try the alcoholic milkshakes.
My brother and I needed a big breakfast to hold us over for the day, so while on vacation on Sunday February 9, 2025 we made the best choice by stopping at 11th St. Diner. We were quickly seated and eventually we moved to a booth once it slowed down. We got amazing breakfast to share, it was the perfect sizing and very well cooked. We enjoyed water and I got not fresh squeezed orange juice (incorrect on menu) and my brother got a coffee. Please note: they don’t take Mastercard! It was truly so delicious and a great option for something simple and tasty. You should try it!
I had the pleasure of visiting 11th Street Diner in Miami twice during my four-day trip, and it was an incredible experience both times. While the food was absolutely delicious, what truly made my visits unforgettable was Bella, the lovely red-haired and cheerful server. Her service was beyond exceptional—she made me feel genuinely special and valued as a customer. Bella’s warm and attentive demeanor added a personal touch that made my breakfast feel extraordinary. She treated everyone with care, but the way she interacted with me made my experience uniquely memorable. Because of Bella’s outstanding service, I couldn’t resist returning for a second visit. This diner is lucky to have such a fantastic team member, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Miami. I’m leaving today, but if I ever return to Miami, it will be worth it just to come back to 11th Street Diner and see Bella again. She truly made my trip better, and I’m so grateful for her kindness and professionalism.
I expected a diner experience, I got a 5 star dining experience. Chris is our server, very nice, helpful and patient with our group. We have an autistic child with us who wanted to sit at the counter to watch them make coffee, cappuccinos and all the other stuff. The whole staff was so accommodating to him and allowed him to chill out and enjoy the experience. The food was above what we expected. Huge portions, great presentation, fresh ingredients and the taste of everything was phenomenal. It’s a true diner with all the fancy trimmings. I would give this diner 100 stars if it was an option! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent and the menu has a good variety of different things, from sandwiches to pasta. Well worth a visit just to see the quirkyness of the place and to tick off somewhere seen in Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives! Thoroughly recommended. The service is excellent too. I accidentally knocked my knife on the floor, and before I could pick it up, the waiter thrust a replacement in my hand.
My lucky number is 11 so I had to visit this diner for that reason alone. I'm so happy that I did. This retro diner is exactly what I was looking for. The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. The milkshakes are to die for so make sure you order at least 1! Their potato salad was the star of the night for me. The honey bbq chicken and ribs are good too. Will definitely return for sure!
This place was amazing! Authentic American diner we were looking for. We had their signature burgers, and we loved them. Large portions, fresh veggies, crunchy chicken, nice dip. We enjoyed the atmosphere there, always wanted to visit one of these classic American diners. When in Miami Beach, this place should be on your list. If I ever come back to Miami Beach, I'll stop by again, for sure. I would totally recommend this place.
Service was stellar! Food was amazing. Order the corned beef hash crispy and a side of Jalapeno bacon. So good.
Start your day right, with a real American breakfast in this diner! As Europeans, we only know this type of restaurant from old movies, and we really enjoyed the retro look and flair. The breakfast is simple, but excellent. The service is very helpful with the menu and refills your cup for free. It was a great experience and will definitely not be our last visit to an American Diner!
Staying across the street from 11th Street Diner is the best amenity our hotel has to offer. Amazing menu, amazing service, friendly and fun vibe. Jaime has helped us the last two days, and his hospitality and service has been fantastic. Super friendly staff, food is always fresh and always delicious.
Genuinely had such a good experience dining here. The service was fast and friendly. They were constantly refilling our drinks and coming to check on us during our meal. Our food came out super fast as well and was so delicious. My boyfriend and I got the fried chicken sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak and they were both really tasty. I highly recommend coming here. We will be back ourselves for sure!
I’ve been searching for a great diner for a while, and this one really stood out! The place is much bigger than I expected, with plenty of seating and a classic, charming old-school diner car vibe that adds to the experience. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel comfortable and enjoyable. I came for breakfast but definitely plan to come back for dinner soon. This spot is a true gem and worth checking out if you’re in the area!
I went there on September 19, 2025, for dinner. There were four of us. Vincenzo looked after us and recommended some excellent dishes. All four of us ate the Argentine steak, which was truly excellent, accompanied by mac and cheese (I'd never tasted it before, so I really wanted to try it) and delicious sweet potatoes (never tasted so good). I recommend it to anyone looking for a 100% American vibe, both in terms of food and location. I felt like I was in a movie.
I recently visited 11th Street Diner and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The burger was absolutely outstanding — perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the portions are generous. Every bite was fresh and satisfying, easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in Miami. What really made the visit special, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They made us feel right at home and checked in just the right amount without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such genuine hospitality. If you’re in Miami and craving a top-tier burger with excellent service to match, this spot is a must-visit.
The place is small but quaint, a perfect representation of a true diner. The Santa Fe eggs were perfect. My son ordered the chicken parm sandwich with sweet plantains and sweet potato waffle fries...chef's kiss! Our server Mariano was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place!
The atmosphere at 11th Street Diner is absolutely amazing, honestly, even better than some diners I’ve been to in New York! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel great. We had both dinner and breakfast here, and everything was delicious with really generous portion sizes. Prices are slightly cheaper compared to most spots on Ocean Drive, which makes it even more worth the visit. Special shoutout to Vincenzo and Jamie, both top blokes! But honestly, the whole team was great. Thanks again, guys! hopefully we’ll see you soon!
Yeah, all the Cuban food at the incredibly expensive restaurants is super cool and all, but this diner is where its at. It has a retro and cozy and laid-back atmosphere and some of the best mac n' cheese I've ever had. The menu is vast, the food is delicious and the spiked milkshakes have been such a treat. We've come here 3 times during our Miami vacation and not one experience disappointed. The 11 Street Diner has a great atmosphere, fun and friendly staff, excellent food and affordable prices. I can't wait to eat here again the next time we visit!
This is a great spot for a breakfast or lunch. I haven't tried their evening main courses. We were seated right away and welcomed inside - even with a bunch of luggage (they had a small area to store suitcases and such while we dined). Their bathroom is outside and around the corner of the restaurant. I didn't bother going in the end, I decided to find another bathroom somewhere else. All three dishes we tried were very nice. You're sure to find something on their menu that you'll like.
11th Street Diner is one of the coolest retro diners in South Beach and a true Washington Avenue landmark. The stainless-steel exterior and chrome interior give it that classic American diner feel that stands out in the middle of Miami Beach nightlife. It’s the perfect place for breakfast, burgers, milkshakes, and comfort food any time of day. The booths, neon lights, and old-school diner design make it feel like stepping back into the golden era of American diners. What makes it even more unique is that the building itself is a real vintage diner car from 1948 that was transported to Miami Beach and restored. It’s a great spot to stop after a night out or for a relaxed breakfast before heading to the beach. — Chris Raborg The Cyborg Project 🤖🍔🥞🥤✨
The service was really excellent. We were very well welcomed and served. The waiter enquired about our well being during our lunch. We also liked the exterior and interior design of the restaurant. We got that feeling of an authentic American atmosphere and experience. However the food was really average. Their “Southern” burger was really tasteless and didn’t change at all from a regular burger (a very poor quality regular burger). We went there for the whole American experience of course but in the end the food is what matters most. I cannot recommend this restaurant if you are looking for tasty food.
After a 2 mile walk and disappointing responses from other spots, we’d worked up an appetite, stopped in the 11th Street Diner and had b’fast, 1/3 pineapple each the Diner B&E and the Corned beef hash special. Food was great, taste and tasted like a home cooked meal. Staff were enthusiastic and pleasant and all the customers were smiling, happy, talkative and enjoying their experience.
Nice lil pocket diner, the food was freshly prepared and the service was on point. Tucked away in the middle of South Beach not far from the Ocean. Great for Bfast and Beach.
Good food, breakfast is served all day. My bacon was cold, but the rest of the food was good. There are some amazing brunch items that are unfortunately only available on weekends. Portions are normal sized and prices are normal for the tourist area. Festive atmosphere and employees are nice. Service was quick, try the chorizo hash!
I came here for breakfast. I had the pick 3 omelette with tomatoes broccoli and cheese, creamy gouda grits, house potatoes, and the Belgian waffle (with strawberries & whipped cream). EVERYTHING was piping hot! Which led me to believe they cooked to order (loved that). The broccoli was soft not crunchy (another selling point for me). The service was friendly and accommodating. Portions were large. I sat on the patio which didn't have the best views but was great if you wanted some sunshine and social distance while you ate. Total was maybe $30-40 bucks (cant exactly recall) and 18% gratuity is included. I was only passing through but would definitely recommend and certainly would return.
Really cool place to go in Miami, loved our visit here. The food was really great and the service was amazing. And the prices were not too bad for the amount of food you get! Would recommend if you’re in the area. We had one issue there was a hair in our starter however we told the waiter and he was really apologetic and offered to make us a new one or just take it off the bill which we did. So this didn’t really effect our visit.
The food was great. Had 2 meals here while in South Beach. Breakfast was amazing. Nearly all options of breakfast were available, even the grits were good. Dinner as shown was delicious, Chicken Teriyaki with grilled pineapple, mushrooms, and grilled onions. The other is a naked blue cheese burger. Only downside is the beverage options, and this could just be me, but they didn't offer sweat tea, just plain tea, no sweater. Most restaurants in the area are the same, but it's a very basic beverage option.
I’ve always loved classic diners when visiting the USA, and this spot in South Beach hit the mark. With its retro decor inside and out, it felt like a step back in time. The burger was perfectly cooked, the fries crisp, and the draft beer refreshingly cold. A slice of food history I’d happily revisit!
A great diner. I had the large fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Very tasty, however, there were far too many fries for me and I had to leave some. I hate wasting food! The staff were friendly and helpful. The "restrooms" are to the back of the restaurant. I would recommend this place.
I stopped by the 11th Street Diner in Miami Beach, and it had that classic diner feel right away. The staff was friendly and kept things moving even though it was a bit busy. I ordered breakfast, and the portions were generous with everything cooked just right. The retro vibe made it a fun place to sit and enjoy a meal, and it felt like the kind of spot you can go to any time of day. Overall, a solid diner experience.
We left with mixed feelings. First of all, the service was excellent — our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. The interior is great and very well done. It truly feels like stepping into the 1950s, stylish and fun. One thing that surprised us was that Mastercard is not accepted. There is an ATM available, but it still felt a bit inconvenient. As for the food, we weren’t really impressed. For the price, it was below average. The coffee, however, was good. In summary: great service, cool atmosphere, good coffee — but the food is overpriced for what you get.
I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, a tea and a milkshake. Honestly, for a simple Caesar salad, the price was extremely high. I understand that prices in the U.S. are not the same as in France, that’s not the issue. What bothered me is the way this place operates. You have to pay extra for basics like chicken, then an automatic 18% service charge is added. On top of that, the restaurant is cash only, so you need to withdraw cash beforehand. And once you pay, they do not give change. In my case, the bill was about $45, I paid with $50, and no change was returned. That means they took an extra $5 on top of the 18% service charge, resulting in nearly a 30% tip forced on the customer. Not everyone can afford to give a 30% tip, especially when it’s not a choice. This feels extremely unfair. Also, for that price, I wasn’t even offered a glass of water. Be aware of this before coming here
Food was okay. I find it mediocre as they gave me a sandwich full of lettuce and tomatoes with less meat (overpowering taste of garlic) with a side of chips that you can probably buy in a supermarket. For a $25 sandwich, I would expect atleast a better quality of chips, not from a store-bought chips. Service, meh. Very nice location, I agree Ps. Beware, they include the “suggested” tip in your total bill. Another overrated “themed” restaurant.
I've been coming to 11st Diner for years when I visit South Beach. Fortunately the food is excellent. I've ordered one of the burgers each time I visited. Unfortunately the price escalated by some 80% in 5 years time. It's becoming much less appealing to eat here. And this time our server did look like he wanted to be here at all. The place was almost empty, on a Wednesday night??? Maybe they price it now for the weekend crowds, when all restaurants are crazy busy. Would I come again? Unlikely.
Cute atmosphere, but the food isn’t good. I’m not picky, I love Waffle House and cheap eats. The hashbrowns were inedible and the other breakfast foods were just not appealing. It would be SUCH a hit if some things were improved. To be clear, I’m not saying be fancier. I’m just saying the food should taste good.
Stopped by The Diner in South Beach for lunch and had the waffle burger. The ambiance was nice—stylish and comfortable with a classic diner vibe. The food was decent, but I felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality. The waffle burger sounded more exciting than it tasted. Not a bad spot, but for the price, I expected a bit more flavor and finesse.
Food was fine, but never have I been to a diner where there was a predetermined service charge. But the worst of it was a $4 surcharge for substituting hash browns instead of home fries. Why is there a surcharge for grating potatoes as opposed to cutting them up before frying? Ridiculous!
Travelling from Canada and I recently visited this Diner and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped. The food was mediocre at best. While I understand diners have a casual vibe, I expected a bit more flavor and quality in the food. What really struck me, though, was the customer service. At first, the staff put on a friendly act, but as soon as I paid my bill, it was clear the facade dropped. It felt disingenuous, and I was left feeling somewhat unvalued as a customer. To make matters worse, I was shocked to see a 25% automatic tip added to my bill. This felt like an unjustified tourist gouging tactic rather than a reflection of the service provided. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and would not recommend this diner unless there are significant improvements. Two stars, and that’s being generous.
They charge 18% automatically regardless how bad the service was. This is typically here. My meal was 15.22 with the 18% added. I paid with a $20. Server asked me if I wanted change, of course i want my change! I'm not tipping $9.00 for a $12 meal. Then he didn't give me all my change! Will not be returning.
Little to no customer service. We seemed to annoy them by wanting anything. I order a drink and it definitely felt like they water down the juice and they double charged us and it is not clearly expressed they add 20% gratuity to everything so they don’t even need to work to get tips. will never frequent again
