Having just visited Buenos Aires in January, I don't say this lightly: the meal I had at Baires Grill stands up to the best meals in Argentina. From start to finish, this was a spectacular experience. From Francisco, the best bartender ever, and the chic ambiance to the delicious food, this is one you should add to your list. And if you're worried because it's a local chain, don't be. I've been to at least one other location, and the quality control is on point. Tonight, I had the entraña, cooked to perfection, along with a fantastic side spinach salad and mashed potatoes. I finished it off with flan. Thumbs up to everything, and thanks for a wonderful experience.

Try the asado de tira, best Argentinian meat cut. The service is great. The ethos is to make you feel good, not themselves. Served with sympathy and professionalism. The let you choose the table if they have an option. As the neighbourhood is burnside men wear jackets, which is a plus. The waiters don’t ask you for your allergies, another plus, they adapt to your demands. The wine list is Argentinian, but good. Deserts are typically Argentinian, Churros con dulce de leche, Banque que con dulce de leche, great. Meal for two 160$

Loved the decor and ambiance as soon as we walked in. Servers were attentive and friendly. We ordered the quinoa salad to share (wonderful) and two glasses of red wine, a Malbec and a Cabernet Sauvignon, both great. My husband ordered filet mignon with rice and sweet potato fries. The filet was cooked to his liking and came with an accompaniment of sauces, the chimichurri being our favorite. He also ordered the rice and sweet potato fries (best I’ve had!) I had the butternut squash gnocchi with figs and a side of asparagus. All were outstanding! Can’t wait to return to try more tempting choices and an equally tempting dessert menu!

Came for Valentine’s Day and tried the special menu. The shrimp with mango appetizer was good but a bit simple in flavor. The ossobuco was excellent, rich, delicious, and full of flavor. The risotto was tasty but slightly undercooked and a little hard. The chocolate brownie with raspberries wasn’t worth it (chewy and served cold), but the entraña was amazing, very tender and cooked perfectly. First time visiting. Our table was a bit low, but the ambiance was relaxed yet elegant. Staff was well dressed, attentive, and helpful. Overall, great service and a solid experience.

Celebrating our Valentine’s Day this weekend. We haven’t gorged on some red meat in a while so we decided to try this location. I made reservations for the early dinner to an avoid the crowds and have a more romantic vibe. We were prompted greeted and taken to our table. The menu had a little bit of everything. We decided when in an Argentinian restaurant you can’t pass up the meat. The restaurant has plenty of seating and it’s well spread out. We ordered the french onion soup and a grilled meat empanada. We also tried the truffle fries. For our entree we ordered the skin skirt steak for 2. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and the other two assistants were always checking in on us. The food was well prepared and the presentation was great. This was a nice and romantic spot for us to celebrate our special day. We will be back.

Ari was our waitress and she was great, also the food was generally amazing and also the decor and vibe. Live music was sublime. Only negative, flan was not smooth. You need to get a Cuban chef to do the flan. ;) Loved the whip crème and Dulce de leche alongside.

I normally love this spot, however, I was very dissatisfied with my meal today. My picanha arrived cold and it was more well done than the medium I had asked for. Very sad to have had such a disappointing experience here at Baires Coral Gables.

I chose this restaurant for New Year’s Eve because I am consistently satisfied when dining there for lunch. Unfortunately, it is clear that they are not adequately prepared to host a New Year’s Eve service or any important holiday. My reservation was at 7:00 p.m., which is relatively early, yet the service was already poor at that time. The restaurant appeared understaffed and overwhelmed. The menu was cut nearly in half, with only limited items available. For example, they could not even serve a loaded potato with a steak. The milanesas were rushed, and my husband’s milanesa was served undercooked. Throughout the evening we often waited up to 40 minutes for our server to return. Due to the delays and overall service issues, we chose not to order dessert, especially after being advised by staff that it would take an excessive amount of time. It is unfortunate to experience this level of disorganization at an otherwise good restaurant in Coral Gables. We brought these concerns to management, but the response was simply that this is how service operates on New Year’s Eve. Baires Grill in Coral Gables should not host New Year’s Eve service if it cannot do so competently. I do not recommend this restaurant for special holidays, as guests risk experiencing significant delays and overall chaos.

Baites used to be an excellent restaurant. Last Sunday was not so good. We were a group of four. Mad have several dishes, some excellent, some not so much. On the excellent side see the Filet Mignon and grilled Half Chicken. The Provoletta, Morcilla, Molleja and Ravioli were good. The Cran Ravioli was too creamy. The Asado de Tira was awful, just bone and skin, no meat. Service was good, but just the minimum possible, nothing exceptional. The atmosphere was very nice.

First, it’s too loud. What’s the deal with Miami restaurants hiring DJs? If I want to go to a club, I’ll go to a club. If I’m paying $240 for a dinner for two, I’d like to hear my friend’s conversation. Because it’s so loud, everyone has to scream, which makes it even louder. Restaurant music being too loud is the #1 complaint of their patrons. My medium rare $44 filet mignon was dry, overcooked, and cold. Grand Marnier is usually served neat. Mine came full of ice cubes. My friend’s Frangelico came with more ice than liqueur, too. I never ask to have anything sent back but we asked for them to be replaced for one with no ice cubes. Our server was very nice but disappeared for the second half of dinner. We had to ask a bus boy if she could come with our check. Coral Gables restaurants have become overpriced and too trendy in the last few years. This might be ok if you don’t know any better, but for $120 per person, things should be better than this. I’m sticking with the well-established steak houses in the area, you can’t go wrong.

In Miami for work , I stayed at the Hotel Colonnade connected to Baires. We were very excited to experience our first Argentinian restaurant. Unfortunately, it was far from great, and we were extremely disappointed. The atmosphere is very nice but it was overlooked by the poor service. We gave our server the benefit of the doubt when we were first seated. She did not greet us with a smile or the willingness to provide service. She asked for our drinks. We asked for water because we were looking through the drink menu (ps. - we had to ask for it). After several minutes, she came back with the water and menu. We ordered a bottle of wine. She eventually brought it, again, with no intention to provide service. She acted as though we were inconveniencing her by being there. After a while, she never came back. We watched her talk to friends that came in, maybe check on other tables, but it was a good 10 to 15 minutes. We noticed others received bread. Finally, we just asked for the manager. The service improved a little bit, but not much more. We did not feel welcomed whatsoever. The food was not impressive. We were overall disappointed. I was not expecting poor service, mediocre food, from a higher end restaurant. I may try it again and hope for better service and order something different. A Brazilian steakhouse is definitely a much better visit for the price compared to the Argentinian Meats shown in my pictures. Such a disappointment for my first experience of Argentina.

I live in North Miami, and I went to Coral Gables specifically to try the Baires Grill there, since I'm familiar with a few others. But my experience was very different. One Monday, at lunch, I was seated at an outside table. The server walked past me repeatedly without bringing me a menu or even greeting me. After waiting a full 12 minutes, I decided to get up and leave. I definitely won't be returning to that location. I'll stick to Brickell or South Beach.

BEWARE OF DISHONEST BILLING PRACTICES The food was great and the service seemed perfectly fine throughout the meal. However — and this is a big however — please pay very close attention when you’re presented with the wireless payment terminal. The restaurant already includes an 18% service charge on the bill. Unfortunately, our waiter added an additional 5% tip on the wireless terminal, bringing the total service charge to 23% without clearly pointing it out. I didn’t notice the extra amount until later. This left a very bad impression. Transparency matters, and adding extra charges without explicitly informing customers is not acceptable. I would recommend double-checking your total carefully before completing payment.

I don’t recommend it at all! We were a group of six people, and when we started ordering drinks, we asked for a margarita with either Tajín or salt. They told us they didn’t have Tajín at the moment, and they never brought the salt either. We also ordered a glass of wine, and the glass was so dirty we had to ask them to change it—when they did, the second glass was just as dirty. We ordered a Cuba Libre, which they forgot, and we had to ask for it again because they got confused and brought a different drink. Then they brought out the appetizers, but we didn’t have any small plates to share them. We asked the captain for plates, and he didn’t even know how many to bring… I mean, there were six of us—it was obvious! Among the appetizers (which were actually well served), we ordered a beef carpaccio that had a bug inside (photos attached). We asked them to take it back, and their reaction was just like, “OK!” No real concern. Later, they brought the main dishes (which were tasty and well served), but the quality and consistency of the service—even after the bug incident—was nonexistent. After the main course, they brought two complimentary desserts to share (they weren’t bad), but they didn’t even ask or apologize—they just dropped them off and left. In the end, the bill was $410, and again, no apology, no proper service. Just completely disappointing
