Service ladies were super nice! Ordered Sushi and vegetable Undo - both tasted great and can sense a standard. Interior deco was eye catching and great for romantic night. Solo traveler friendly as well. I had a great time! A bit pricy but for raw food I’d rather have some quality control.
Expensive but beautiful. Very sweet waiters. 20% tip already added so no need to worry about that. We ordered the conch, the wagyu Bao, Philadelphia roll (bagel roll), dream roll, the Miami roll, the chicken katsu, and green tea. Very delicious and fresh.
The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was very attentive and kind. It was a little bit cold but the waitress said it was for the sushi, which made sense. The salmon teriyaki was dry, but otherwise all sushi rolls were fantastic and came very quickly. Highly highly recommended eating here.
This place is incredible! Delicious food, great service and beautiful place! Great location, close to the beach and other restaurants, bars and shopping. Everything I ordered was delicious and listed below. Truffled Salmon seared scottish salmon, fresh truffle, honey truffle sauce $25 Unagi Nigiri $7 Crab Nigiri $11 Chilean Seabass marinated in saikyo miso sauce $42 Tempura Ice cream $12
Sometimes you take a chance on a restaurant based solely on the type of food it serves. We did so with Toni's Sushi and we were well- rewarded. My wife, daughter, baby grandson and I dined at Toni's. The atmosphere of Toni's Sushi is slightly dark, intimate, clean and comfortable. The servers are excellent, responding to questions and there when needed without ever getting in the way. My wife started with the Miso Soup, which was exactly what she'd hoped for. I never had Nameko mushrooms, so I opted the Nameko Miso Soup. I really liked the Mushroom and Scallion complement to the Miso Soup. Our grandson enjoyed the Miso Eggplant. My daughter chose the Spider Roll, a Fresh Scallop Hand Roll and a Dreaming Shrimp Roll. She loved each of those dishes. The Dreaming Shrimp Roll was most interesting, as it is a "Rice outside roll with masago, shrimp tempura, lettuce and curry mayo." As the usage of the curry mayo was not heavy-handed, the dish was a winner. My wife ordered the Chirashi Roll, comprised of "tuna, salmon, hamachi, shiso, avocado, microgreen, kizami wasabi, tempura flakes, yuzu mayo, sesame." It tasted so fresh and full of flavor - it exceeded our expectations. So too did the Vegetable with Hot Udon. I ordered Sashimi - Aburi Toro, the prized fatty part of Tuna, so good, and Amaebi, Sweet Shrimp, also wonderful. I also chose the Norweigan Roll, made up of "salmon, kanikama, cucumber, scallion, mayo, ikura on top." High praise for that dish! As with many restaurants in the Miami Beach area, a 20% service charge was tacked on to the bill. With such flavorful raw and cooked options,Toni's Sushi Bar is a worthwhile dinner choice. We will return there when next we visit Miami Beach. Try it.
Can not believe how amazing this sushi was, and the prices are even better. I’ve eaten at sooo many sushi restaurants in Miami and this is by far one of my favorites. How did I just discover this?! The fish is so fresh. I got the torched salmon nigiri, TWO New York tuna rolls, the crab hand roll, and some crispy rice. Everything was great, and the service is incredible!!! Ira was so nice and attentive, before I could even look for her to order more she was already there asking me if I needed anything. Impeccable. The vibe is also amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. Cant wait to come back
Such a gem. One of the best sushi in South Beach. No frills just good fish. Even though it’s in the heart of South Beach on Washington you feel like you’re in a different world. I can’t believe I discovered this place after living here for 3 years! Authentic and delicious
The service is excellent and the sushi is amazing!! 10/10 would recommend. The chirashi roll was my favorite. But all of the sushi that we tried was great. The salmon belly with truffle oil was delicious as well! The only thing that wasn’t incredible was the waygu gyoza. But the sushi itself earned the 5th star.
The last time I heard "irasshaimase" walking into a restaurant, I was in Japan. Really nice touch. I went to Toni's twice while on a long weekend in Miami, and I give it a thumbs up. Pretty respectable. Fairly extensive menu with a good balance of east and west - a nice selection of traditional nigiri as well as more western rolls, lots of appetizers, a variety of kitchen entrees. I'd hovered between giving a 4 or 5 rating, but the 5 goes for having uni from Japan on the menu. It is hands down the best stuff and a real treat when you can find it. Service was prompt and friendly, and the crew behind the sushi bar is very efficient. I like the location too - a couple blocks removed from the buzzing nightlife of Ocean Drive, but still easy to walk to. Good overall vibe; has some upbeat music in the background but isn't at all wild and crazy. I'll likely be back if I'm in South Beach again!
We had an amazing dinner at Toni's restaurant. Our server, Shanti, went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. The prices are very reasonable, and the seafood quality is excellent. Highly recommend this place and will definitely return when visiting Miami.
WOW! My meal at Toni's was exceptional!! I really enjoyed the fast service and the Norwegian roll was fresh and tastful. The Thai Doughnuts was not available so I went with the Fried Cheesecake. It was interesting eating warmed Cheesecake!
Love this place. Fast service, fresh sushi. Been coming here for 26 years.
Absolutely amazing experience. Some of the best sushi I've ever had in the country. All the dishes and sushi were delicious and well presented. Be sure to check the daily offer menu, lots of things you don't find by the coasts. Went on a Friday night and it was not too busy. Wonderful staff too
Amazing service they even took cute pics of us💓💞
We ordered delivery from here and it was so good we had to come try it in person. It lived up to our expectations. It’s hard to find a relatively reasonably priced, good meal in south beach and Toni’s does that.
Ok the California roll typically is just something I get if I'm not feeling sushi. It was the BEST! Never had better sushi and even the staff was like the best I ever seen. They were always filling up my water and got the sushi out to my table way quicker than I thought was possible.
Really wonderful experience. The omakase nigiri meal is delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her udon and roll. This is not a pretentious place. If you want a relaxed sushi meal this is a great choice.
Amazing place! The atmosphere, the staff and of course the food - all is excellent!! Our waitress. Xenia, was impressive and gave us great recommendations on the food choices based on our preferences! Highly recommended!

For starters, this restaurant is legendary and still going strong for almost 40 years...and, once again, the service by our absolutely favorite server, Shanti, is unrivaled. Yes, she knows the menu! Yes she's a great server! Yes, she's efficient. Most of all, Shanti is a gem of a human being. She exudes everything one would expect from a family outing. Making everyone around her happy and comfortable. Of course, the food is sensational, as always. Thank you Shanti again for making our evening memorable. Lilly and I love you and can't wait to see you again. Great meal! Best server ever!
Best people and great food!
Always excellent! Top notch sushi, attentive service, and a very pleasing envirnonment. There is a reason that this place his been able to endure all of the fads since 1987. Whether you choose to sit at a table, or cross your legs in one of the tatami rooms, the experience is as good as the sushi being served. Never disappoints.
Food was really good and fast! Sushi was good and we also had a desert that was amazing. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The only downside is that the prices are expensive. I’ve read on here about the management making people tip 18% but that did not happen with us.
I Love Toni’s, it always feels like a locals place even though it’s in the middle of tourist central. The rolls are always high quality and the service is impeccable. It’s the first and the best sushi spot in South Beach, you won’t be disappointed!
The food was delicious and authentic 💖 Toni's is the only authentic japanese food in South Beach. Our server was sweet and very nice too🙂
One of the best places for sushi in Miami. It’s a fun place to dine in but equally good for takeout/delivery. This place is an institution. It’s popular on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights but a never more than a short wait for a table. The staff are excellent - able to keep a busy table fed and sake’d! The fish is always fresh and I believe the all the rice is gluten free. For the best take out option just tell them how many you are and they’ll prepare accordingly. It’s not cheap but tasty and no one goes hungry.
My favorite sushi place in Miami although I haven't been at that many. Their fish is fresh and delicious, they provide great variety and daily specials including good quality toro, which is kind of hard to find. I have been there two times in my recent trip and enjoyed the Sushi each time.
Delicious! The Spicy Hamachi was so good - texture was soft and just a bit of spice from the Serrano on top. The Chirashi was also amazing in flavor and texture! Service was prompt and attentive and our waitress was very helpful with recommendations. Would definitely return and recommend!
I have very high, almost unreasonable standards and this place was amazing
I moved to south Beach in ancient times, back in 1996. At that time, Toni's Sushi Bar occupied the same space on Washington Ave. that it does to this day. That kind of longevity is practically unheard of on an island of impermanence, where businesses come and go at a dizzying pace. This cozy, reasonably-priced restaurant deserves your patronage for that reason alone. But fortunately, the food always was and still is delicious! I only wish that they would bring back Thai Toni, which was also great.
Wow is all I can say about this place. Simple clean dishes and flavors. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We were referred here by a Miami Beach local and couldn't be happier. We had the spicy seafood soup which was great - very different from the Korean versions we're used to. We also had the steak teriyaki and Toni's choice sushi/sashimi plate. Everything was amazing!! We'll be coming here again on our next visit to Miami.
easily a top 3 sushi meal experience for my family and me. from appetizers through desserts - wonderful freshness, texture, flavors. will surely return here on our next sobe visits.
I can’t say enough great things about this place. I have been there five times (so far) and it is consistently incredible on all fronts - food/ service/ ambiance. I wasn’t expecting much because it is so close to the tourist spots. But the interior is so pretty I had to give it a shot. I am glad I did. It was a wonderful surprise. The service is unusually phenomenal for this part of town. Always caring, not rushed and helpful. The food is incredible. Highlights are the Truffle Salmon Dynamite roll, the Lava Cake, the donuts, Chirashi Roll, Norwegian Roll, Miso Eggplant. But I can keep going, everything is delicious. It is my new sushi spot.
Maybe the best sushi in South Beach. Fun atmosphere and the servers were super friendly and attentive. Might not be the best if you’re looking for cocktails or those crazy fried rolls with a million toppings, but everything they have tastes incredible. Can’t remember the last time I had sushi that tasted this fresh. And the spicy tuna roll was actually spicy without being covered in mayo. If someone asked me where to eat sushi here, I would tell them to go to Toni’s. Side note: while there aren’t many vegetarian/vegan rolls listed in the menu, they will make them upon request!
Great great great Japanese place!! Sashimi was one of the freshest I have ever had!! Super cool seating and the waitress were so friendly and lovely! 100% recommend!
The food was absolutely delicious! The Truffle Dynamite was outstanding, and the Chirashi Roll is a must-try. Highly recommend! The service was excellent—great attention to detail. Will definitely return!
One word, Amazing. From the moment we walked in the door of Toni’s, we never wanted to leave. The food, the service, the atmosphere was something I wish I could bottle up. I would come back here every day if I could it’s just that good! I got the pork gyoza and Shrimp fried rice and it was something out of a Michelin star restaurant. 10/10 experience.
My favorite restaurant on the beach! Always an amazing fish quality and great service.
This was the surprise of our trip! We had an amazing meal and the service was amazing. After going around in horrible service, overpriced and overfilled restaurants this was a breath of fresh air. The nigiris were delicious and very well served, as were the sashimis and the rolls. We also tried the shishito peppers, which were spicy but amazing and the dumplings were perfectly done and delicious. Besides the service was amazing, they were so attentive and nice, and at the end they told us the service was already included and we didn’t have to add anything more (different from other places). All in all the experience was perfect and would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys sushi.
This has been my all time favorite sushi spot for the last 21 years. It’s always consistently fresh and clean. Never have I been disappointed here. The staff are very friendly and are like a second family now! Some of my favorite dishes are tuna Naruto, all the tar tar dishes, rock shrimp, hamachi jalapeño.. honestly there’s too many to name all. They recently renovated the place and it’s so beautiful. Very intimate vibe perfect for date night. Love love love Toni’s Sushi ❤️
Very friendly staff, nice location, good price and quality!
Had one of the best Japanese food in the entire world! And as a non fish eater, it wen beyond my expectations! Highly recommend the shitaki-tofu dish! Truly one of the best dish I had in a very long time.
First time dining in after many delivery orders. It’s fabulous both ways. Impeccable service, delicious food, great prices. It’s our new Sushi spot. Susanna was our server and was perfect! Professional, personal, tended to our 2 year old. Highly recommend
Toni's Sushi is extremely friendly and the staff immediately greets you with smiles. The menu is diverse, and includes all sorts of sushi to try. I highly recommend you visit this institution and ask for recommendations and try their specials. Don't be shy about enjoying some of their amazing sake options.

It’s so difficult to maintain quality (food and service) over decades, but Toni’s has managed to pull it off. I’ve been coming here since the early 2000s and it still hits the mark—low frills, high quality food, good service, and a nice, relaxed crowd. Many of the staff have been here for years and years which is a testament to the overall leadership. Great choice for great sushi and cooked food as well. Recommend for a good option that is reasonably priced in South Beach.
Absolutely loved the unplanned dinner here. They offer cooked and raw dishes, all beautifully crafted and served. You certainly find something to please all tastes and ages - just be inspired by menu and staff advice. We had and shared several appetizers and a roll and all were delicious. The Ginjo sake rounded up the experience. Very recommendable!
The food was excellent. Unfortunately, there wasn’t space on the table for the Veuve Clicquot, so they placed it in an ice bucket on a chair right in front of us 🙃 Not the most professional touch for a champagne I must say 🤣 That said, the food and atmosphere definitely earned the fifth star

Things on the specials menu seemed very fresh and was delicious, rolls were good too, unfortunately the sushi platter we got lacked any differentiating flavors between the fish, fish on the nigiri was soooo paper thin compared to the amount of rice, and just not very fresh, almost comparable to grocery store sushi. With that being said the service was really good and overall it was a positive dining experience.
Loved the fried soft shell crab and the crispy sushi. Sadly, I have to deduct a point for the ponzu sauce for the crab, because it was way too salty, with too much soy sauce mixed in. I asked for a lighter ponzu sauce but they didn't have it. If they did then this crab would have been perfect. I also got the tuna avocado salad. I expected a leafy salad with tuna, but instead got a tartar of tuna + avocado with 3 leafs on top. The food itself is good but not great, again the main problem being the sauce is too soy sauce heavy.
Toni's is not one of the overpriced and unnecessarily flashy sushi places in Miami Beach. It is a couple of blocks in from the beach and much more modest in terms of decor, but the food and service are both excellent. We sat at the sushi bar and the staff was fantastic, chatting with us, preparing our food to order in front of us. Toni's is much more of a "regulars and locals" place, although no doubt tourists are starting to show up as well. The miso soup is excellent. The shrimp shumai was good. The sushi platters were very good.
Place has been around a long time for a good reason. Solid Sushi and Japanese dishes, good prices, consistent quality. Better than 100% of the high priced overrated "Omakase" joints that have infected Miami
Oh Toni’s, what a good sushi spot in south beach Miami. I highly recommend this spot to try at least once, there sashimi, rolls, and even there lava cake is absolutely amazing. When I think sushi in miami undoubtedly i’m picking Toni’s. I do however think the 20% service charge is a bit much, i’d rather choose myself and give a lower or higher tip based on service. Overall must hit location and please don’t forget to try the lava cake!
The sushi is good and the staff is very nice but the prices are a little high for me. 8-12 dollars per roll is pretty steep for a simple roll. The udon soup is not very flavorful but as I said the sushi is very tasty. Would go back but not regularly as for the prices.
Locally owned and been around for many years. Good quality, great presentation, very friendly service.
Tony's Sushi provides a good mix of sushi, my suggestion would be to add some more pieces of sushi, so it matches the price. It is good, not the best ever, but good enough to come back. Service has been good, and atmosphere is nice, I would add some more seating in there, and have bigger tables. 4's all around best fit my rating.

The lady who greeted me at the doorway didn’t look like a waitress (also just wearing plain clothes) so I had no idea she was the greeter. She was just standing there looking out at the window, so when I walked in, I was looking around wondering if someone would lead me to the table or I have to find my own seat. On the other hand, my server were attentive. It was a slow night so there were not a lot of diners. I ordered a mushroom soup it was really good, the mushrooms were really tender. Then I ordered a nigiri sushi: mirugai, eel, ika and amaebi. 1 piece of mirugai was 8 dollars and advertised as daily fresh catch but it didn’t taste fresh so it was disappointing. The ika was also not too fresh. The sashimi sampler was good, nothing exceptional. Overall the meal was alright, the cost of the meal doesn’t justify it though (~$80). The bathroom is very specious and clean.
I've been a loyal, frequent customer for years and the sushi is solid. However, I placed an order tonight and at the end uber eats asked if i wanted to order truffle salmon for $9. Sounded great so I did. This is what arrived!!! 1 very tiny sushi. Spoke to the manager, expressed that this was a joke / misrepresentation yet she wouldn't budge. Will never order from them again.
Look at my photos, I had a scallop appetizer and SIX, ONLY SIX pieces of nigiri sushi, including an incredibly overpriced $18 piece from Japan. They automatically add 20% service charge, I'm from Manhattan NYC and nobody ever does that for one person sitting at the sushi counter. Add one beer for $8 and my total? $99! I'm very sorry but it was absolutely NOT worth nowhere near that much money, it was totally overpriced. Outrageously so, and while the taste was good, it was no better than countless other similar places that cost less than half the amount that I paid.

The food wasn’t good. The sushi had stale rice. The fish wasn’t fresh. The vegetables were bland. The tempura was low quality and fried in cheap oil. The tempura fish in the roll was cold and combined with the stale rice it was like eating cement. The service was constantly rushing me to order another drink and emptied my bottle in the cup. The place was empty so there was no need to rush anyways. Annoying and not coming back. Also overpriced.
I was really disappointed with this place. The sushi looked beautiful in the photos, but in reality, everything was far from what I expected. The rice was poorly cooked and had no flavor, the eel had bones, and the fish tasted unpleasant. Sadly, nothing was fresh or appetizing. It was impossible to enjoy the meal. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant — the quality simply doesn’t match the presentation.
Looks very bad, taste bad! The rolls are weathered, too small, not tasty, and the fish are bone-in. Disgusting. I don't recommend it. This price you can find something much better! First pic - 85$ set, unbelievable!
they charge everyone a 20% gratuity, and then ask you if you’d like to tip even more on top of that. (we were a party of 2) & they don’t mention this anywhere on their menu. weird and sneaky, luckily we had a good server but if we hadn’t i’d be angry. iffy on coming here again, now. bad practice. if you are gonna include a 20% tip on everyone’s check, just include it in the price of the food. it makes no sense. trying to sneakily pay their server’s wages by forcing diners to pay 20% of every price they see on the menu without telling them. change your menu prices if you want them to include the 20% you use to pay wages. no wonder the restaurant is empty all the time now. used to come 1-2 times a month. lost a valuable customer. good job!
We have been customers of Toni sushi for more than 20 years. Today, in quarantine and for Mother’s Day, we chose, out of the other amazing sushi’s in Miami, to celebrate Mother’s Day lunch with Toni Sushi food. We placed the order at 5 pm and waited. They use a CHEAP delivery app called Toast which indicated our order had been delivered. We called the restaurant and we were answered by very rude people telling us our order had left. One hour later, kids hungry and table set for more than an hour, we called them and they could not tell us where our order was but said it was arriving. We had spent over 200 USD for this order which was now in some car for more than 3 hours getting mushy. We did not receive any apologies from Toni Sushi. They were very rude even after we said we were their customers for 20 years. I then asked for them to comp this order and they said NO and hung up the phone in our face. With the new and amazing sushi’s in Miami, Toni’s sushi can forget us as customers and all of our friends.
