I love this place always a go to for a snack or a full meal the hole family will appreciate. I always get a double order of sticky rice with their amazing peanut sauce . And the Thai style chow main!! The Thai tea is really good to. We have had alot off the menu and have not been disappointed by any of it.
Great place! We had 10 & a 2 yr old and they handled us perfectly. Food is always great. Bay Area/Sonoma Valley quality. Best spring rolls. Their tofu is even amazing. You can get it as spicy as you want or not. Not cheap but not overpriced.
We stopped by for lunch my Nephew said this place was great, and he was right 100% the lunch menu has many options, and the food is the Bomb! Prices are really reasonable. The owner was very friendly, and told us of places where he buys his Vegetables from in Santa Rosa. If your out near Middletown stop in, and enjoy a freshly cooked Thai Cooked meal.
We love Buddha Thai Kitchen and the family who runs this gem. Their cooking is authentic and committed to ingredients thanks to the ladies in the kitchen, and the friendly charismatic service makes ordering fun. We come whenever we are in town. We wish the family ongoing success and lots of delicious Thai meals for the community. We got the Tom Yum soup, Pad Ke Mow wide noodles, Duck salad, and Eggplant appetizer -- all were fresh and delicious! Also, he made my Thai iced tea proportions to perfection!
Wonderul authentic Thai food cooked and served by a wonderful family and their crew. We started to come during Covid for takeout, now you can dine in and they have decorated the place nicely, very cozy. We always look forward to coming here when in the area. Alex is great and the rice is shaped as a heart!
It was fabulous. I had the clay pot with shrimp - Dang, was so good. My dinner guests had a mango dish and the curry fried rice. We tasted each others dishes and were happy with all of them. I especially love the brown rice with hot pepper sauce on top. Yum!
Excellent, friendly service and fabulous food. We enjoyed the spring rolls, curries, pad Thai and orange chicken. Many lunch specials to choose from with good size portions. Glad we stopped on our drive south to Calistoga.
I LOVE the food at Buddha Thai! It's flavorful, fresh, and not loaded with fats. The menu is extensive and I have tried many of the items--haven't found one yet that disappointed. My favorites are Tom Kha soup, Pad eggplant, spring rolls, and pumpkin curry. Their brown rice is perfection and so easy to eat (compared to other brown rices)! The food comes to your table fast and hot and the servers are all thoughtful and kind. The restaurant is family-friendly and business-meeting friendly. They do a great to-go business as well.
An absolute delight of a dining experience. My girlfriend took me here for the first time a while ago and everything was SO delicious. My favorite is definitely the spring rolls, I dream of them in my sleep. My girlfriend also suggested a bunch of items I probably never would have ordered on my own and EVERYTHING was just SO GOOD. Every time I drive through Middletown my mouth waters. Also! The mango sticky rice for dessert was AMAZING! Best I've ever had by far! The rice was a blend of brown and white and was plated so beautifully. I definitely need to stop by here again soon and take some pictures! The plating was impeccable, as was their quality of ingredients. Hands down my favorite place around the lake!
Always friendly and welcoming. Authentic Thai cuisine that is fresh and tasty. I have tried almost everything on the menu. Fresh rolls are delicious, and the curries are spot on. Local wines by the glass and of course Singha beer. If you are in the mood for clean fresh flavors without the heavy sauces or oil then this is your place
Consistently perfect service and quality food!
Some of the best Thai food you’ll ever taste. Authentic, good quality ingredients, prepared fresh daily. Ample parking and the friendliest half you’ll ever meet. Always our choice for celebrations and daily lunch specials.
wow!! amazing food, amazing service! so happy to have :) we got the tofu pad thai, tofu cashew nut, iced tea, and thai iced tea, all sooo delicious!
Delicious. We've been doing a menu walk trying to find something they don't do well. I tend to go for Thai curries - which they do well - but have been hooked on their stir fry offerings since trying the cashew nut grill.
thank you baby jeezzus! This place is fantastic and a rare find for Lake county. Never had a bad meal and I highly recommend whatever the daily special is. Lase week it was a vietemese bun which is a salad with lettuce, cucumber warm noodles and chicken breast with a lime dressing that was to die for! But try anything or ask for a suggestion, they know how to do fresh food justice. Love it!
Great selection of Asian dishes. Friendly staff too! Importantly, the food is authentic Thai with various elements of other Asian cuisines. Would come back for sure if passing through Middletown.
Delicious food every time. The people who work here make it a happy, upbeat place for family and friends to gather. Favorite hang-out of the art crowd from Middletown Art Center. Highly recommended!
The food at Buddha Thai Kitchen is consistently fresh and tasty. The service is always good; food served promptly; and friendly staff who are eager to please customers. Highly recommend.
It's hard to pass through Middletown without a stop at Buddha Thai. They do great renditions of all the standards, but also have a 'Chef's Suggestions' section on the menu with compelling less-common options. I've enjoyed the "What a Combination" for both its name and its flavor.
We stopped on the way through and this place was delicious and came out quickly! I had Drunken noodles and my bf had the yellow curry. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Would highly recommend
The food was absolutely superb. It tasted delicious, was healthy — not too oily, and had very generous portions. I would make a trip up from Calistoga just for this. Very glad we came across this unassuming spot and will definitely come back if we ever visit Napa/Calistoga again.
We sat down to eat and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean this place was. We were sat down and served quickly first our appetizers and Thai tea and then our meal came our quickly as well. The presentation was on point and the flavors were great. We will definitely be coming back here to try more plates!
Amazing authentic Thai food. Some of the best since we have left Thailand. Small place, seating if you wish to eat in but really set up for Carry out. All the Rice noodle dishes and curry was AMAZING! Worth the stop!
Great Thai place next to Harbin hot spring resort area. The food was fresh/ spiced perfectly, and the service was quick and welcoming. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area.
Delicious after a soak at the Harbin hot springs this place hit the spot every thing I tasted was amazing .super friendly staff.price is right.I highly recommend this restaurant.
The Chicken Tom Yum Noodle Soup was the best soup I've had in my life. So flavorful and fresh. Everything had lots of garlic, and a perfect amount of spice. The sticky rice with mango was over the top.
A great restaurant in Middletown! The food was good and ther service was pretty fast even though they were very busy. My husband thought the food was a bit bland, but for a restaurant in Lake County, I have to give this place 5 stars. Try it out!
Wow! I was so happily surprised by my meal! Teriyaki Salmon lunch. This wild salmon steak was So fresh and thick and every bite was delicious. Absolutely delicious. The veggies were just right. The steamed rice was served in a heart shape, that touched me. The teriyaki sauce was perfect. They changed the radio station to prettier music and put a fashion show on the tv for me. The people there are very beautiful and the food was excellent.
Chicken Satay and Tom Kha Soup with Chicken is always totally on point! 5 stars... The staff is very caring, curtious and so polite! Thank you again, Buddha Thai!

Great Thai food. We had Pad Thai noodles and Penang curry, both were delicious. Highly recommend this place.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Pad thai so good it was hard not to burn the roof of my mouth by diving in too quickly. Exemplary service and presentation that goes above standard fare. Relatively affordable and good sized portions. Plenty of options with a varied, but organized menu. Artful and unique decorations, clean, and overall a good bang for your buck. Try their desserts too.
This place is really good. My favorite us their eggplant and the lamb curry meat was super tender. The sticky rice is to die for. I ordered 3 of them.
Very comprehensive menu. So many delicious options! A very clean nice atmosphere
We eat at Thai restaurants every time we travel and I always order the same thing (red curry chicken), so it's easy to compare. Their food is really good and we'll be back next time we're in town.
Our family of six came based on a friend’s recommendation and we loved it! Service was friendly and we all ordered different dishes that tasted fresh and healthy. So glad we found this little gem and already came back for more of the fresh salad rolls with peanut sauce, yum!
You may ask yourself, "How good could Thai food be in a place like Middletown?" and you may be surprised to hear that the answer is "Phenomenal!" We are always impressed by the quality of food here. I've had my fair share of Thai food, and this ranks quite high on the leaderboard. Highlights are definitely the roti panang, crab rangoons, and curries. Spiced and seasoned perfectly, and very hearty. The service, as well, is excellent. I highly recommend this place, and I'm very grateful it's a part of the restaurant roster in our humble county.

The food was good, the servings were a little small. They were very friendly. Over all it was an enjoyable experience. I will definitely return.
Can't remember when I've had better Thai food. Kinda lousy alcohol selection: one beer and three wines by the glass. Service was a bit slow, but it was very busy (understandably so).
Good food, but a single person was handling everything so the service was slow.
Got the papaya salad and asked to make it thai style. Was good but the fish sauce was a bit heavy. The latd chicken was wet and never tried it like that. Going back to original roots would do wonders as thai food isn't difficult to prepare but just need the correct ingredients
One of the best options in the small town of Middletown and the only Thai restaurant in the vicinity. It serves a lovely niche and they’re open pretty late. Not too much seating but is quite understaffed. One server was servicing the entire 10 table dining room which meant quite a long time to place orders and refills for drinks. Food quality was not the most authentic Thai cuisine but when factoring in the remote location of the area, it delivers great flavor and the spice/sanbal on the side really helps dishes pack a punch. Prices are reasonable and the Thai tea was quite good. Parking is plentiful although you may have to park outside of the main parking lot when it gets busy.
Wow don’t expect this high level of tasty food. We got the vanilla ice cream with mango for desert but asked to only give us the fresh mango sliced up. So good!

All previous customers of Buddha Thai, be aware that it recently came under new management. I've only ordered the raw spring rolls and the Tom Yum soup thus far, but they were nowhere near as good as the menu when Charley owned it and his wife cooked her recipes.
Just ok... I am used to some really fragrent, well seasoned, flavor in Thai food.😌 I am afraid I have been spoiled by the East Bay, and San Francisco. Having said that, I will rate it a 3. The atmosphere is beautiful, the waiters so very kind, and attentive! There is also a little store of hand-made items in the rear! They serve beer and wine.
We usually do take out which the food has always been consistently very good. This last time we dined in at lunch after it had been closed for a week or so. I was very disappointed in my dish. Chicken was very dry as was the pad Tai. My husband's shrimp dish was good.
We went on a Friday night at 6pm. The service was amazing - the staff were all super nice and friendly. Overall, the food was too oily for our liking. We ordered the roti as an appetizer and it dripping with oil, probably the crispiest roti panang we've ever had. Every bite had oil dripping from your mouth. The red curry sauce was delicious to dip into. We also had the green curry with chicken, it was okay - little too watery we prefer the broth to be more concentrated. It did have chunks of eggplant which was nice and the chicken was good. We also had their green beans with tofu. The green beans and tofu were perfectly cooked so the texture was nice but they were drenched in an oil and an oil pooled at the bottom of the dish, we kept trying to drain the red oil off the beans and tofu before putting it on our plates.

The food is typically good however the prices are higher than I’ve seen even for these times. For instance we had a side of vegetable fried rice which consisted of just rice, carrots & onions. It cost $16! Our bill for 3 items & 2 beer was $90.

EXTREMELY HORRIBLE SERVICE AND STAFF COMMUNICATION!!! We were a group of 7 and ordered vegetarian dishes. There was only 1 chicken dish for only 1 person. Everything else was vegetarian. We had fried basil rice with vegetables and no protein and it had chicken in it. We complained and they only said sorry and asked to pay 50%. When we talked to the manager she was very rude on the phone and when we said what if someone was allergic, she demanded a slip from doctors. When we refused to pay, she threatened us with camera recording and claimed we had eaten more than 50% of the ordered food which as shown in the photo is clearly not the case. And no one else even touched the chicken plate except for the person who ordered it. We also offered to pay the whole amount, they refused to take that as well. They weren't accepting their mistakes but also didn't want to accept the full payment. They threatened us with camera recording first but when we started recording she started claiming that we were harassing them. We insisted on paying the full amount but they didn't let us and didn't even admit their mistake.
I was really looking forward to trying this place, came in, sat down and ordered the spring rolls and tofu pad Thai with extra tofu. I was by myself enjoying a book, my appetizer arrived and a family came in and was seated next to me. As I’m reading my book and slowly eating my spring rolls I notice their food being served. I’d ment to save half of my spring rolls for later but I’d been there awhile and kept nibbling. The table next to me keeps getting food served and I’m almost through my spring rolls now and kind of wishing I could just get the check and leave but I think I hear the server asking the kitchen about my pad Thai. A little while later my server comes out and says here’s your chicken pad Thai. “I ordered tofu pad Thai with extra tofu” I say. She apologized and sent it back to the kitchen , fairly quickly my tofu pad Thai comes out and I thank her, she apologized again for the mix up and I tell her it’s no problem. I serve myself a small portion but it smells bad; it literally has a hint of rancid bird (like a bird that had been dead and gone bad!). I shouldn’t have but I taste it and it kind of tastes exactly like it smells. I think to myself that I really hope I don’t get sick and I stand up to pay and leave. They ask if I want a box (for my full nearly untouched entrée) I say no. They ask “you don’t like pad Thai?”. The restaurant is full of customers so I didn’t want to say I thought it smelled and tasted like a rancid bird so I just said that I didn’t like that pad Thai and that I think something is wrong with it, that it didn’t taste or smell right and I thought it may contain something that had gone bad. They didn’t take it off my bill, I paid, didn’t leave a tip and left. I went to a pink Mexican food place just up the street and it was amazing! I also thought it was slightly odd that a place called Thai “Buddha” kitchen had few vegetarian options. Usually when I see restaurants associating themselves with Buddhism they are fully vegetarian. Anyhow, I do not at all recommend this place and I will never go back. The spring rolls were good but tho I have not gotten sick yet I’m still watching as the hours pass and I’m really worried.

I have been to Thailand six times and my Thai wife not only cooks Thai, but we have been to American Thai restaurants as well. This restaurant has the worst food of all of them. They don't use fresh chilis but instead regulate the heat of the food with chili powder, which they add at the end of cooking. My food came out not hot (temperature). The waiter argued with me that it had just been cooked before he took it back and microwaved it. My wife's food came out undercooked. We ordered brown rice, he came out with white rice, and when I said we ordered brown rice he said he would be right back with it, but instead are food cooled as we waited five to ten minutes. I left a 15% tip and felt crappy about it, not because it was a bad tip, but because it seemed like too much. After eating there I got the worst case of gas I have had in decades.
